Arbor Springs holds parade for graduates BY LAUREL HUSTER laurel@newnan.com
N
eighbors in Arbor Springs Plantation celebrated their 2020 graduates with a parade Friday evening. Seniors wore their caps and gowns and decorated cars and golf carts to ride through the neighborhood. Families stood in their driveways to cheer on the graduates as they rode by. Shari Scobee’s daughter Amy Scobee is a senior at Northgate High School, and Shari thought having a parade may be the only way to celebrate the neighborhood’s seniors safely. “With everything going on with coronavirus they’re missing everything; they had to cancel spring break trips and prom,” Scobee said. “We wanted to recognize them and let them know we’re so proud of their hard work.” Twenty graduates from Northgate High School, Trinity Christian School, Newnan High School, the U.S. Air Force Academy, Landmark Christian School and The Heritage School were recognized.
