A new facility from a national meal kit company is expected to create more than 750 new jobs in Coweta County. Monday, HelloFresh announced plans to renovate an existing facility in Newnan, making this the company’s first distribution center in Georgia. Headquartered in Berlin, Germany, HelloFresh is the largest meal kit provider in the United States. In 2019, the company delivered more than 281 million meals to customers in 13 countries and across three continents. The c omp a ny w i l l ut i l i z e a 208,930-square-foot facility in Newnan, located at 510 International Park, to help better serve both their customers across the Southeast. HelloFresh will occupy the former home of SYGMA. The SYGMA Network

Miguel is the second longest resident living at the shelter. He is a favorite among staff and rescue volunteers.
iguel is a sweet Staffordshire terrier mix who has been at the Coweta Animal Services shelter since July 2019. The black brindle is good with everybody – other dogs, people and even cats, say shelter workers. He’s one of the dogs used to temperament test new dogs who come into the shelter, because his temper is so steady. He doesn’t show aggression around other dogs – he just wants to play, workers said. Miguel is more laid back than a bundle of energy. And is “just a really good dog,” workers said. His age was estimated at two years when he was picked up as a stray from Domineck Street. Miguel is heartworm positive. Funding is available from the Newnan-Coweta Humane Society to pay for all but the first $100 of heartworm treatment, and the adoption fee will be waived. You can meet Miguel at the Coweta County animal shelter, located at 91 Selt Road, Newnan. Adoption hours are 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. All animals are spayed or neutered and microchipped before adoption and have their first round of vaccinations. Kittens or puppies who are too young for spay or neuter surgery must be brought back to the shelter for the surgery, which is included in the adoption fees. Adoption fees vary.
