Founded in 1970, the Wishbone is deep-fried nostalgia going on for 45 years.

Owner Beth Barnett’s dad purchased the downtown eatery in 1985. The restaurant pushes out thousands of orders every year from individual pieces to tenders and nuggets. Orders range from two-piece Kiddie Paks to 21-piece barrels of fried goodness. The dinners include the signature tri taters, slaw and two rolls. Other offerings are chicken livers, fish, shrimp and sides like fried okra, potato salad and hush puppies.
