A creative tribute Local gallery to offer veterans-focused art exhibit

In the case of “A Good Soldier: An Artistic Tribute to America’s Veterans,” an exhibit to be held at nearby Su f fer i n g A r t i st Ga l ler y i n Hogansville, artist Sarah Swanson wanted to offer an exhibit to honor local veterans. The artist hoped to offer a collection of mementos from sold iers , work s i n spi red by

servicemen and woman, and to i nv ite a few loca l a r tists to create pieces based on the theme of honoring those who have served the country in the military. Swanson discussed the concept for a vetera ns-i nspi red show to her husband, Chris, a h istor y a nd socia l studies i n st r uc tor at New n a n H ig h School (NHS). From there, the

NEWNAN Christmas Card Signing for Troops Nov. 17 | 6 - 9 p.m. | $0 The Coweta Veterans Club, located at 130 Veterans Club Drive in Newnan, will host an event for locals and friends to join club members and volunteers in signing Christmas Cards. The cards will be included in Stocking Care Packages sent to deployed troops during the holiday season. The veterans club will supply cards and shipping. Donations are always welcomed.
