Art from the Heart Gallery Marlboro artists Elina and Pietro Cordani have founded and established a most unique art and entertainment gallery in the ‘heart” of town. Art from the Heart Gallery offers not only a beautiful atmosphere in which local artists can share their work on a rotating basis but also a very special venue that’s available to the public to rent for events. The walls and corners of the gallery offer not only paintings and carvings but also a number of beautiful handmade items available for purchase. Many varieties of live music are performed here regularly. Truly a destination for lovers of the visual and the Artists Pietro and Elina Cordani performing arts! While the couple shares a passion for artistic endeavors, they have remarkably different backgrounds. Elina taught for 25 years at the Lavelle School for the Blind, and Pietro was a brick mason in New York City for 35 years. Both, however, never let go of their creative lives; Elina has specialized in watercolors, while Pietro has taken his award-winning woodcarving skills to new creative heights. The couple reconnected in 1984 after years of not seeing each other, married in 1988, and by the mid 1990s, after both had retired, they pursued their lifelong passions and fulfilled their lifelong dreams in earnest by opening Art from the Heart Gallery. Their schedule of events is varied and extensive. The gallery seeks local poets to share their poetry at special events, as well as artists to exhibit their work. They offer free movies on Saturdays at noon, and evenings of live music in styles ranging from blues to country to jazz; call the gallery for event dates and reservations. Also, for folks looking for a truly unique and special location for a party or event, this lovely gallery can be rented for that purpose. In Elina’s words, “Our gallery is here for our community to enjoy.” Art from the Heart continues to open its doors to area residents as a center that encourages and promotes performance and artistic expression.

Truck, A Dream, A Legacy Begins...In 1930 with the dream of starting his own company Art Main attached a 275 gallon tank to his flatbed truck and began delivering Kerosene. Not long after that Art’s brother Spenser came on board and Main Brothers Oil Company (Now Main-Care Energy) was born. The Main family presided over the company until Spencer passed away in the mid 1960’s. The Main family chose to pass on the ownership of the company to their trusted employees with the directive to carry on the family’s name while upholding the Main brother’s reputation of quality customer service.
