BUDDY BAG FOUNDATION Month-long Elf-ing around for Sylvia

Sylvia Keris, who was recentlyawarded as Ambassador of the Year forThe Buddy Bag Foundation(BBF), is appealing formore kindpeopletoknit teddiesand to sew fabric drawstring toiletry bags and pencilcases, forthis very valuable charity.

Sylvia, from Eccleshall, is a collectingpointfor teddies and bags, and also for Lego donations,and can be contacted re deliveries on 01785 851005.

Sylvia said: “BBF provides children with abackpack of essential clothing,toiletries and comfort items -including ateddy bear-when they are taken to a safe refuge,away fromdomestic violence. “The charity packs 180 agerelatedBuddy Bags every week forchildrenfrom babies up to 16 years of age -eachrucksackwith its contents costing around £25. “But sadly, domestic violence cases increase over the festive season.

“So in support of the charity and to alsobring some festive cheer, Ihave vowed to dress again this yearasBuddy’s Elf, 24hrsaday, everyday in December. “Wherever Igo-whether food shopping,GPappointments, on a walk or doing volunteer work –I will be dressed as an Elf.”
