STAFFORDSHIRE POLICE New DeputyCommander joins Borough NPT
Stafford Borough neighbourhood policing team (NPT) has welcomed anew Deputy Commander to its ranks.

Deputy Commander, Inspector Laura Morrey, has 18 yearsexperience within Staffordshire Police and decided to take up theroleaftera varied career acrossseveral different departments including working in response and as a vulnerabilitysergeant.
Most recently, Laura had worked forthree years in Staffordshire Polices sex offender management team, which gave herthe opportunity to work as adetective on complexinvestigations.
Speaking of her new role,Laura,who lives near Stone, said: I love how versatile working in neighbourhoodpolicing is.
No two daysare the same and it really is a problem-solving role which IknowI willenjoy. Im looking forward to getting out there in communities, working with partners,tolistento those who live and work here to tackle issuesin ourneighbourhood.
The inspector hopes that shewill also bring something freshtothe NPT.
Laura added:Those of us whowork in policing are facing constant challenges at the moment and Iwant to make sure I am there for the team and all the staff. The pandemic has made it very clear to me how many responsibilities we all have at home, whether youre acarerfor afamilymemberora parent juggling everything.Asamum,I am very conscious of how important it is to strike the right work-life balance. Im areal people person, so Im looking forward to working with the brilliant people we have on the team to help resolve problems in our communities. My priority is to make people feelsafe and let them know thatIamhere for them, whatever difficultiestheymay face.
