This three-day course examines the practices, procedures, and safeguards associated with the identification, analysis, response planning, and control of the risks surrounding events of all types. It provides a solid conceptual foundation based on proven risk management techniques.

This comprehensive and practical guide supports academic and professional development programs that prepare individuals for entering or advancement in the meeting and event management industry. Course content includes the following:

• The acquisition of the necessary permissions and instruments that demonstrate adherence to all accessibility

• Identification and notification of the proper authorities, medical services, and other emergency responders, and the acquisition and development of plans and procedures suitable for responding correctly to incidents, evacuations, crises, or disasters that may occur during the event project.

• Establish fire and life safety, occupational safety, and crowd control policies and procedures.

• Liability exposures and contractual requirements, sourcing suitable providers, and acquiring the proper insurance policies to maintain appropriate loss prevention coverage and risk financing for the event project

• Negotiation and execution of the contracts and other legal documents associated with the acquisitions and endeavours of the event project

• Sourcing, selection, and deployment of the personnel and equipment to provide protective services and support for the event project, and implementing and supervising the appropriate command and control systems to ensure its efficacy.
