PEN AND INK ➤
I wanted to attempt Mark Twain as my author to make a caricature of because he was an animated person in his personality. I knew I could successfully channel this charisma into a nice caricature. I basically highlighted his facial characteristics to make him recognizable. The recognitions also accentuate his personality.

WET MEDIUM ➤
For this caricature we were to attempt a wet medium. I lightly penciled in the outline on watercolor paper. Then I used permanent ink pen for the outline. I then let it dry. I used Prisma color markers to fill it in, then used my blend marker with water to create this distressed effect. This caricature is Heisenberg from Breaking Bad. The illustration is successful because of the use of the medium; it’s sloppy and distressed just like the character himself.

the goal was to create a caricature using paint as a medium. The point of this illustration was to find a conflict with the world. I personally despise religion because of how crazy it makes people. I decided to oend by creating a zombie Jesus. I enjoy clean art in terms of mediums but I had happened to spill some paint. It turned out to be a great accident and I just went with the flow.

My goal for this assignment was to use my anger against the economy to generate something visually interesting. I’m a hard worker and my success is based off this principle. These minimum wage protest create a society of people who feel the are entitled to things. I have a problem with this because I’m in the Navy and it has taught me that success is not a hand out. It’s earned.

We were to create an illustration based on the harmful effects of junk food. I’ve traveled the world and I always hear from others about how we Americans are fat. Some even say we are monsters. I combined those two ideas to create an image that defines us through others eyes. The more I drew this, the more I realized that others observations of us are true. I wanted to capture their feelings with imagery.
