Special Thanks To: School Districts 140, 146, 228 and 230 for the use of their facilities to assist us in providing recreational programs for the community. Thanks also to the local newspapers and businesses for assisting in publicizing Tinley Park-Park District programs. Thank You Volunteers: Volunteers coach youth athletes, provide tutoring and help at special events. Volunteers bring a smile and a special touch to the Park District. You are appreciated beyond measure! Out of District Brochure Mailings: The Tinley Park-Park District extends its sincere apology to any of its neighbors for any inconvenience because of the United States Postal Bulk Mailing regulations. Some individuals receive Park District brochures even though they reside outside the Tinley Park-Park District boundaries. Such individuals shall, nevertheless, be assessed out-of-district fees. Photos and Videos: Participants or their parents (if participant is under 18), permit the taking of photos, audio and video tapes during Park District activities for publication and use as the Park District deems necessary. Picnic Permits: Picnic permits may be obtained at the Bettenhausen Recreation Center. Permits are required to secure a park pavilion for your outing or event. As we prepared this brochure, the unprecedented restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic affected program and event planning. Decisions were made using the best information available at the time. To limit attendance, you will see that some special events now require advance registration and/or have multiple time slots. Class enrollment limits have been reduced to stay within limitations in effect at the writing of this brochure. If a class must be switched to a virtual format, the online brochure will be updated to include the most current information and this symbol: Classes requiring significant modifications from the description here, will appear in our online Virtual Recreation Program Guide.
