For stages 1-7 of the Eagle Walk the taxi company Taxi Royal offers a baggage transport service. The same service is also offered by Taxi-Service Schmid for certain stages (14-24) of the Eagle Walk in the Tirolean Oberland region. UnfortuNauders nately, some huts are not able to offer this option because there is neither a road nor a supply cable car up to the hut.

Stage start or finish
difficult, narrow, very steep almost throughout, often exposed, longer, secured climbing sections
The Eagle Walk season really starts in mid-June or at the beginning of July in the higher elevations. But even in the middle of the summer it is wise to stay informed about the weather conditions before setting out on a walk. In the mountains the weather can change very quickly. When planning a tour walkers are advised to consult the Alpine information service first:

You don’t need to be eagle-eyed to stay on the right route along the the Tirolean Eagle Walk (Adlerweg). You just follow the yellow signposts and the red-white-red ground markings. The Eagle Walk normally runs along walking routes (no mountain experience necessary) and along red and black mountain paths. Red is the intermediate level, possibly with frequent, steep, short, secured walking and climbing sections. The black mountain paths require more mountaineering experience, walking knowledge and being comfortable with heights.
