TMC’s Driver of the Quarter designation is one reserved for professional drivers that go beyond the call of duty. They embrace the lifestyle and live the TMC motto, Destination: Excellence. Joe Ingram came to TMC looking for a new work environment with a familiar setting: the open road. After doing his research, he discovered the Black and Chrome and decided it would be the perfect place for him. After officially joining the team in May 2010, Joe quickly discovered that he found the right place. “I have always felt at home here, and it’s been a great fit from the very beginning,” he says. However, Joe’s not here for the accolades. He also emphasizes the importance of camaraderie in what can be an unforgiving industry. “I think it is important to lend a hand while you’re out on the road. I never stray away from helping out other drivers.” He also stresses the value of drivers seeking help in situations big and small. “Never try to be in too big of a rush, and never be afraid to ask questions.” After nine years with TMC, Joe looks forward to continuing his career with the Black and Chrome Family while assisting in its growth and success through training.

Like Joe, Mike Pennington also utilizes the training role to give back to the company. A 15 year veteran of the trucking industry, Mike started his professional driving career with TMC in May 2004 and went on to become a driver trainer four years later. Mike says he knew TMC was a good fit from day one. “I’ve always liked the job and work that I do, and it’s continued to be something I enjoy and look forward to each day,” he says. In June 2018, Mike was named TMC’s Trainer of the Month for his outstanding efforts in shaping the future of TMC. “I wanted to make a difference in the company and make sure new guys were getting things done the right way,” he says.
