This season is all about pastel colors. Keep your makeup simple, by choosing either your lips or eyes to stand out. Try colors like light yellows, oranges, pinks, blues and purples. 1 Apply your foundation and set with powder.
2 Use a shadow color that matches the colors of your eyebrows, and Fill them in. 3 Apply a few coats of your favorite mascara, to the top and bottom lashes
4 Dont be scared to apply a pastel color other then the regular colors you can buy at a local drug store on your lips Try a light orange or a light yellow.
5 (Page 7) Instead of wearing a pastel lip, try lining your top lid, or lightly brush your favorite shadow color on your top lid.. We used the color Lemonade (Pearl paint) from Yaby Cosmetics, to line the models lid.

or not to Prime The question I probably get asked the most is: “Do I REALLY need a primer?” My answer: YES. A makeup primer is designed to prepare the ‘canvas’ of the face for the rest of the products to be used. It allows the foundation to go on more smoothly and evenly and often takes less foundation to achieve the same effect. A primer usually contains waxes, polymers and silicones which form a bond with other cosmetics and increase their longevity. They can also act as an extra moisturiser.Primers often claim to fill in fine lines, wrinkles and pores but I would take those statements with a grain of salt and keep your primer’s main use to increasing your makeup’s longevity.The makeup trend this season is fortunately appealing to the eyes, while heavily effective against the overwhelming sun.
1 This Laura Mercier foundation primer is lightweight and sinks in quickly so it doesn’t add any time at all to your everyday makeup. It is also available in an oil-free version for those with Combination/oilier skin types.

2 Smashbox Primer is great if you are going to be photographed. It goes on like silk and is barely noticeable once it sinks in. It is great for brides or evening makeup.
3 If you don’t want your makeup to budge an inch, this is the primer for you. By the brand, Philosophy this primer smoothes out the skin amazingly well and causes your makeup to stick like glue. Word of advice: Leave it on your skin for at least 5 minutes to sink in before foundation otherwise you will struggle to get a streak-free face. It also acts as a moisturiser so if you have dry skin, this is the primer for you. Perfect for humid conditions (for example my sister will be getting married in Bali next year and this is the primer I will use to make sure her makeup doesn’t budge under the sweaty conditions) There are many other primers on the market, sometimes it is just about trial and error to find the right one for you!
