We have many exciting updates to share with you this spring session, but the most exciting is that the TNRL is now Fine FREE! On March 11th the TNRL said goodbye to overdue fines. What does this mean for our patrons? Going forward, library materials will no longer accrue overdue fines, and all past overdue fines will be forgiven. Due dates remain in place, and patrons who do not return library materials after 30 days from the date they are due back will be charged replacement fees and/or have their borrowing privileges blocked until items are returned. We will continue to send borrower notifications to remind people about upcoming due dates and will continue to charge replacement fees if an item is lost, stolen, or damaged. You can read more about our new policy at TNRL.ca.
(R) Please register in person, by phone, or online at TNRL.ca. All other programs are drop-in. Registration for programs with materials to pick up closes a week prior to the program and one hour prior for other live programs. Codes to access live programs will be emailed out 30 minutes before programs start.

WE HAVE A NEW WEBSITE! TNRL.ca has undergone a refresh and we are so excited to share our new site with you. Our new website is more interactive and allows us to connect with our patrons on a whole new level.
Blog Posts
Here are a few examples of some of the changes:
Our library blog has merged with our new website. You will now see relevant blog posts appearing on different sections of the website to allow for better access to the wonderful posts that our staff have created!
Responsive Design
Mobile Library Schedule
The new website has a responsive design which allows it to scale to any size of screen. This means that when viewed on a cell phone or a tablet it will be easily readable.
Each Mobile Library stop is now listed on our Locations page and includes a map and the next time the Mobile Library will be making that stop.

Access to Past Programs
We have new ways to feature new or spotlighted content from our collection throughout the website. The best part— each title links directly to its record in our catalogue! Now you’re only one click away from borrowing that new book.
Most of our programs over the last year have been virtual. Now we have the ability to post recordings of these programs directly on the website. It’s now easier than ever to go back and watch our past programs.

HOW HAVE YOU BEEN? Through April you are invited to answer this question by taking part in Amy Modahl’s exhibition at the Kamloops Art Gallery. Pick up letter writing materials in branch or order them through Library Takeout! Artist Amy Modahl is asking for your input into her exhibition at the Kamloops Art Gallery, which will be on view June 26 to September 11, 2021. She is requesting your written response to the following letter. Dear… How have you been? We’ve been apart for so long with the pandemic stretching distances and emotion, a shared experience that has changed all of our lives. Considering these changes and challenges, I thought I would ask for your experiences and thoughts. Your contributions will become interconnected within an art installation. I will transform your replies into a long letter-like artwork where I rewrite your words, intermingling, overlaying, and abstracting in ink on paper rolls. The resulting installation will welcome you to The Cube at the Kamloops Art Gallery, opening in June 2021. I’d love to hear from you by letter or email, in direct or indirect answer to my opening question. For the sake of creative challenge, please keep your replies to 100 words or less. Become a part of this project by responding to “How have you been?” by letter or email (contacts below) by May 1, 2021. Address for letters:
