CHILDREN & TWEENS (R) Tiny Tunes (Zoom) Join us for songs, rhymes, and fun for babies, toddlers, and their parents/ caregivers over Zoom. Pick up a personalized bag of children’s library books each week at your library as part of the program! TEENS Community Service Opportunities Have you got community service hours you need to get done to graduate? The library has community service opportunities! Get in touch with us by email at questions@tnrd.ca if you’re interested. You could write letters to seniors or help us share your favourite books, movies, or games with other patrons! (R) Book Clubs Enjoy our library-run book clubs from the comfort of your own home. Contact your local library to see if there is space available and find out how you can participate. These book clubs meet once a month and feature a mix of fiction and non-fiction. Copies of each book are provided to patrons in advance.

(R) Mario Kart 8 Tournament Join us as we find the fastest Mario Kart racer at the library! To join you'll need a Nintendo Switch, a copy of Mario Kart 8, and a Nintendo Online account. Instructions & most supplies included— complete your craft whenever works for you. Need help? Check out the step-by-step instruction videos on our website. You'll also get a library book with related crafting ideas. Send us a picture of your craft when complete! Register for each craft separately. From Film to Fiction Vancouver author and screenwriter Roslyn Muir presents her middle-grade fantasy book, The Chimera’s Apprentice. SUMMER READING CLUB The BC Summer Reading Club returns with a mystery for 2021: we invite readers of all ages to Crack the Case with us! There are 3 Ways to Participate: 1. Register at your local library & pick up a physical reading record. 2. Register online & then pick up a physical reading record at your local library. 3. Register online & complete the club online. Registration opens June 7th. Track your reading from June 28—August 21st. Find full details on registration at TNRL.ca or contact your local library! What can you read?

Read together with your child throughout the summer for 25 Books, 25 days, or 25 Hours. Choose which goal works best for you!

Are you a teen who loves reading? Want a chance to win cool prizes? This year the TNRL Summer Reading Club invites teens to read 25 Books, on 25 Days, or for 25 Hours. Choose which goal works best for you!

All reading counts! Listen to an audiobook, tell someone a story, read a graphic novel, watch a movie with subtitles, or listen to a podcast. Reading out loud to your family members or friends is a great way for all of you to earn your reading time.

For every 5 squares you complete on the reading record your child earns one entry into our Grand Prize draw. They can earn up to 5 entries! Every library will have a winner.

Ages 6-12 The provincial BC Summer Reading Club challenges kids to read what they want, for however long they want, as long as they read every day for seven weeks! For every week that a child reads they earn a sticker. If they read every day for all 7 weeks of Summer Reading Club they’ll earn a medal, a certificate, and an entry into our Grand Prize draw!

For every five squares you complete on your reading record, you’ll earn an entry into our Grand Prize draw! You can earn up to five entries. We’ve got one grand prize and six runner-up prizes up for grabs.

Ages 18+ Whether you’re a speed reader or slowly working through your TBR pile, the TNRL Summer Reading Club is for you! Read 25 Books, read on 25 Days, or read for 25 Hours. You choose your way to play.

Prizes Submit your reading record to the library by 5:00PM on September 4th to earn your entries into our grand prize draws. Bring your record into the library, leave it in a book drop, submit it online at TNRL.ca or send us a copy via email. Prize draws will take place the week of September 6th. Winners will be notified by phone or email.
