Featured Speakers Stephanie C. Kopelousos Secretary, Florida Department of Transportation Ms. Kopelousos was appointed Secretary of the Florida Department of Transportation by Governor Charlie Crist on April 2, 2007. Under her leadership, the department is focused on its core mission of providing a safe transportation system that ensures the mobility of people and goods, enhances economic prosperity, and preserves the quality of our environment and communities. Prior to becoming Secretary, Ms. Kopelousos served as FDOT’s Chief of Staff, providing strategic direction and day-to-day management of the agency. She served as the primary federal liaison for the Florida Department of Transportation and the Florida Department of Community Affairs in Washington, D.C., from 2001 to 2005 and was a Legislative Assistant to Congresswoman Tillie K.
