NESTLED ALONG THE ST. LAWRENCE, 20 MINUTES FROM BROCKVILLE IS THE TOWN OF PRESCOTT. It’s a town rich in culture and history and full of beauty with its unprecedented waterfront access spanning the entire community. At Riverwalk Park children will enjoy an outdoor play space shaped like a pirate ship while the rest of the family can enjoy the view. Riverwalk Park connects with the harbour and 148 slip marina with both seasonal and transient docking. While here, be sure to satisfy the cultural explorer in you by catching an outdoor theatre performance at the award winning St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival in July and August. If you are a personal history explorer, delve into the ancestry of the town at Forwarder’s Museum. Built in the 1820’s it originally stored goods arriving by bateaux and now houses a wealth of information about Prescott’s ancestors. History buffs will also enjoy the Fort Wellington National Historic Site, a military fortification built in 1813 on land owned by Major Edward Jessup, a prominent Loyalist from Connecticut who founded Prescott in 1784.
