1.Crack the bottom tray under the stove about 1inch to create air flow.
2.Crinkle paper and put in stove,add small kindling on top and light the paper.Monitor the fire up close and crack fireplace door if needed.
3.Add more kindling until there is a good coal base,Then add smaller wood and work your way up to the bigger pieces. There needs t o be a hot coal base before put t ing bigger pieces of wood in.
4.Tend to fire every 15 minutes or so until sauna is hot (at least 1.5 hours).
5. Once the sauna has reached desired temperature, insert logs as needed.
6. MAKE SURE FIREPLACE DOOR IS CLOSED EVERY TIME
1.Löyly is the steam created from the water evaporating off the hot rocks.
2.Fill black bucket up with HOT water, this helps the stove to stay hot.
3.Wait until the sauna is hot before pouring water on the rocks.Pouring water on the rocks too early will cool down the stove and slow down the heating up process.
4.Pour water on rocks as desired. DO NOT pour water on yourself,this sauna does not have a drain,pouring water on yourself and others will make it harder for the sauna to dry out.If you need to cool down,step outside and hop in the cold plunge.
1. Hydrat ion: Before entering the sauna,make sure you're well-hydrated.Drink a glass of water to prevent dehydration while sweating
2. Shower: Take a shower to clean your body and remove any lotions,oils,or makeup.This helps ensure a more effective sauna experience
3 Towel: Bring a clean towel to sit or lie on in the sauna This helps keep the sauna clean and comfortable.
4. Ent ering t he Sauna: Slowly enter the sauna and find a comfortable spot.Choose a lower bench if you're a beginner,as heat rises,and the higher benches are hotter.
5.Timing: Start with shorter sessions,especially if you're new to saunas.10-15 minutes is a reasonable time for your first session.You can gradually increase the time as you become accustomed to the heat
6 Relaxat ion: Sit or lie down comfortably You can bring a book,magazine,or simply close your eyes and relax It's an excellent time to meditate and unwind
7 Breat hing: Breathe normally and calmly The heat might make you sweat and breathe faster, but try to maintain a steady breathing pattern.
8. Heat Tolerance: Pay attention to your body's signals.If you start feeling dizzy, nauseous,or overly uncomfortable,leave the sauna immediately.
9. Cool Down: After your sauna session, step out and cool down gradually.You can take a cool shower or spend some time in a cool area. Cooling down is important to prevent overheating.
10. Hydrat ion Again: Drink more water after your sauna session to re-hydrate your body. You've lost fluids through sweating,so it's important to replenish
10. Rest : After cooling down and re-hydrating,take some time to rest.Relaxation is an important part of the sauna experience
11 Repeat : If desired,you can repeat the sauna session Allow your body some time to rest and regulate its temperature between sessions
12 Medical Considerat ions: If you have any pre-existing health conditions,consult your doctor before using a sauna.People with heart conditions,low blood pressure,and certain other health issues should be cautious with sauna use.
1.When finished,leave the sauna HOT and close both sauna doors.
This will allow the sauna to dry out and clean itself.
