AMBER BROOS’ ESSENTIALS

Belgian up-and-comer Amber Broos dropped the massive techno track ‘Amok’ on Tomorrowland Music just a couple of weeks back. It comes highly recommended, as it’s a festival summer essential! But what is essential for the young DJ/producer herself this summer? We decided to just ask away.

What’s essential at Tomorrowland and what’s the best moment to use it?

“My rave boots. At Tomorrowland, you have to be able to dance all day and cover kilometers of the festival grounds without getting blisters. That’s why I always put on my rave boots, which are very comfortable and rugged. They can also withstand the rain. I recommend choosing shoes which you don’t mind being dirty by the next morning.”

What song is essential in your set? And why?

“DJ Hyperactive – ‘Wide Open (Len Faki DJ Edit)’. This is a song I have been playing for a very long time. When I first heard it, I immediately fell in love with it. There is so much energy in the song and the audience always responds well to it. I can say it’s one of the tracks that helped define my style.”

What’s essential within the group of friends who are joining you to Tomorrowland? And why?

“A disposable camera. In my group of friends, we always take a disposable camera to festivals to have memories afterwards. Not only is it nice to capture the moment, it’s also a fun surprise whether the photos come out successful or not. The photos we have taken this way are truly legendary.”
