This weekend, a symphony of unity was played. Not only by the National Orchestra of Belgium, who gave away a ground-breaking performance at the Opera, but also by the Kingdom of Melodia as a whole. There was music everywhere, from the songs of the EDM giants at the Mainstage to the subtle tone-shifting techno in places like the Cocoon stage. The Kingdom’s inhabitants – you – did their part as well, encouraging the DJs to perform to the maximum of their ability. Take all of those sweet sounds together, and what you have is nothing less than a Symphony of Unity, written by the People of Tomorrow themselves.

THANKS FOR BEING MELODIAN The past weekend has once again surpassed all expectations, but unfortunately it’s time to go back to the real world. A world that’s a lot less fun. And even while this year the stages were over the top, the DJs performed outstandingly and the decorations were extraordinary, you yourself were absolutely superb. You made Melodia magical. So thank you, people of Tomorrowland, for an exceptional weekend. For most of you, Tomorrowland started on Thursday at the campsite. You arrived with thousands at a time, pitched your tents and built a real party enclave before heading to
The journey through the Kingdom of Melodia ends for now, but the magic spark inside of you will last forever.
The Gathering. You brought all your energy to the biggest camping fest of the world, and went to sleep when you were tired, but satisfied. After the Gathering, the gates to the Secret Kingdom of Melodia opened. The king of Melodia welcomed you into his kingdom, and you exceeded all his expectations. You explored his Kingdom, from every hidden corner to the big valley in front of the Mainstage. Thousands of you gathered every day there, with the closing show on Sunday as an absolute highlight. 3 Are Legend provided the music, but your electrifying energy was what made the night extra special.
And this year you proved that the people of Tomorrowland aren’t made of sugar. A little rain didn’t stop you, and neither did a lot of rain. You grabbed a poncho, rain coat, or nothing at all, and kept grooving from the front row to the back of all sixteen of the stages. All in all you raved until the music stopped, and beyond. You kissed like the world depended on it and you did everything with an immense passion. You made the King proud. You proved that you are worthy citizens of Melodia. See you next year!

You gave us shelter during the night, a place to rest during the festival and gave us the opportunity to make a lot of new friends this weekend. We could count on you when coming back from a hard day of partying. You provided rest, water and food. DreamVille is nothing like a campsite; this is a city, our city. But in this city, life is as it should be every day. A big thanks for this, DreamVille, and a big thanks to your wonderful citizens as well. When travelling home after this weekend, we will carry our campsite memories with us in our hearts forever. Nobody can take them away, and hopefully we will meet each other here again.
BREAKING FAST WITH… Last year Andreas and his Swiss friends spent their nights in Easy Tents. But this year they upgraded to a Dream Lodge. “We love to do groceries at the Carrefour in Boom and have a nice breakfast before we start the day. We like the camp feeling, but the crowds are insane sometimes. The Dream Lodge is just the thing for us. We have a terrace, and the atmosphere is amazing. They’re nicely decorated and the beds, oh, the beds…”

“Last night we saw Steve Aoki, and man, did we have a blast!” Felix, Kristof Nico and David are dining like true kings and have laid out a buffet with bread, fresh toast, hot coffee, marmalade and even some boiled eggs.

After you’re done partying, today comes the great cleanup. Please ignore your hangover for a bit and either pack up your tent and take it with you, or dispose of it properly in a recycling bin. We stumbled upon the wonderful occurrence on a bright and sunny Sunday morning. Even The clock is running. Make the most of today. Time waits for no man. though we arrived early to take everything in, weToday stillis ahad gift. That's why it is called the present. trouble processing this extraordinary event.
The two people in question came all the way from down under, also known as Australia. Olivia and Joshua travelled miles and miles to Melodia, but what was in store here was going to be worth it. The moment their plane lifted off Olivia still had no idea this was going to happen. She thought it was ‘just’ a trip to Tomorrowland. But when the plane reached cruising altitude Joshua gathered all his courage and proposed. And he did so right in the frame of hidden cameras he prepared on the plane to ensure this memory would last. As soon as they set foot on Belgian soil the adventure began and started off with a big breakfast with family and friends. While the sun was shining and a light breeze came over the fields, it was time to let go of their hands and go their separate ways for a short while. Olivia was getting her hair done and we had a chance to talk to Joshua who had arranged the whole thing. “We have known each other for three years, but started out as friends. After a year and a half we took things to the next level and started a beautiful relationship. But I already knew the moment would come when we first met. She was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.” Meanwhile Olivia looked more pretty then she ever had and sneaked into the dressing room to put her dress on. Joshua looked after her with a twinkle in his eyes and continued. “Although this wedding only applies on the grounds of Tomorrowland it certainly feels real to me. Everything was so wonderfully done. The accommodation, the wedding planning, the jewellery from Juwelen Rams… If there was something like every man’s dream, then this would be it.” What more is there to say? The couple both looked beautiful when the wedding song played and Olivia stepped onto the carpet. The unity was made official by a beautiful speech that the mayor of Melodia lustily pronounced. With tears in their eyes they both said the three holy words: ‘Yes, I do.’ A long kissed sealed the deal while the special rings were proof of their marriage. Tomorrowland Today wishes Joshua and Olivia all the best of luck for the rest of their lives. We hope they will forever threat this sacred bond with they same respect they showed for each other today. Good Luck, Olivia and Joshua!

It all starts with a dream
DRINK INSIDE THE BOX
Imagine the two brothers behind Tomorrowland hadn’t had a dream 11 years ago... Where would we be this weekend? Probably at home, listening to Beethoven, right? This lady is the biggest fan of the Tomorrowland crew, aka the ‘dream creators’. What better place to experience the madness than on the Mainstage, next to the DJs? Look, and you will find.
When entering the festival, pretty much the very first thing playing music you come accross is the Maes Box. Maes is a Belgian beer brand, one of the finest kinds of ‘pils’ in the country. The beer finds its origins in the 1930s and still brewed in the area around Tomorrowland to this day. This weekend the brewery hosted the Maes Box, where they not only had bunch of DJs play, but also set up a mini stitching workshop where you were able to sew an exclusive Tomorrowland patch on a piece of clothing of your choice. Along with your upgraded wardrobe and newfound swag you were able to get your picture taken… And have a beer, of course!
DID YOU KNOW… Friday and Saturday, there were hundreds of hardcore travellers among us. These bulls and birds flew in with the One Day of Madness ticket in the morning, and left by plane after the lights went out at the Mainstage. The whole ordeal took them no more than 24 hours. At the airport, the One Day visitors were given a tasty midnight snack. After this treat they could put their eyes to rest in the plane and dream of the craziness they just left behind, to wake up wondering if they were just dreaming... Or did all that magic really happen?
TASTES OF TOMORROWLAND Tastes of the World brought flavours from all around the globe to Tomorrowland and DreamVille. Over the course of the last three days, famous chefs and notorious restaurants have served their delicious cuisines to the People of Tomorrow. Tastes of the World is the quality label for all of the delicacies the festival had to offer. You were able to make a choice between the different tastes and styles like Bites, Health, Luxury, Street Food and World Food. If you’re ever around the area again, we are happy
to invite you to, for instance, the fish and seafood heaven that is the North Sea Restaurant in Melodia, powered by De Oesterput in Blankenberge. Or if you are into a true meat feast you could’ve dropped by butcher Delaet & Vanhaver’s Belgian Steak House. Or did you have some balls this weekend? Meatballs, that is, offered to you by TV chef Wim Ballieu’s concept Balls & Glory. There was truly something for everyone on offer.

Most of you have probably heard of this by now, but for this year there was a new way to bring the People of Tomorrow together. Not on the festival itself, but on your own network. We are talking about the People of Tomorrow Community, an online platform created for all those who were here. During the festival this platform was used to bring people into contact, to share special messages, make unusual request or to ask questions that nobody around you could answer. But there is more. After the festival the platform will stay online and available for you. The Community will be there 365 days a year. So did you meet a very special girl, but did you forget to ask her number? Symphony Of Uniity As the excitement for this last day of the festival started to mount, a very special act rose to the stage. They were the very first artist(s) to have been announced by Tomorrowland a couple of months ago. The least you could say is that were an odd yet interesting addition to the line up. But never shy of a bit of an unorthodox move, Tomorrowland silenced all the sceptics rather quickly when the National Orchestra of Belgium installed itself on the Opera stage and rang its first notes. They locked classical music and dance into a perfect marriage, as a Symphony of Unity.

This year’s compilations are brought to you by Armin van Buuren, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix, Oliver Heldens, Robin Schulz and Steve Angello. And it doesn’t only sound special, it looks the part too. It comes in a deluxe mediabook with soft touch feeling, finished with stylish hotfoil gold and embossing. The box contains 3 CDs, each one filled with two 30-minute mixes, but there is more. It also contains a 40-page photo book with amazing and exclusive Tomorrowland pictures. CHEER FOR BELGIAN BEER The French ‘stole’ their fries and the Americans took a liking to their waffles, but there’s one thing the Belgians won’t ever allow to be taken away: their world famous collection of Belgian beers. A carefully handpicked selection of the beers they are so proud of was offered this weekend at the Belgian Beer Cafe. This pub with exclusive beers has been one of Tomorrowland’s regulars for years now. The strong pale ale Ciney Blonde, abbey beer Affligem Tripel, Gueuze-beer Mort Subite and white beer Hoegaarden Grand Cru were just some of the beverages the Cafe had in store for you this weekend. And what’s more, this year you were not only able to taste Belgian beers but you could also let the rest of your taste buds feast on an assortment of Belgian cheeses selected by cheese chef Michel van Tricht himself.

PEARL REFUNDS As you know, all payments on Tomorrowland and DreamVille were cashless. One of the big advantages of this new feature is refunding. Tomorrowland is able to refund your unspent ‘Pearls’ after the festival. There are three different ways to get your unspent money back. Firstly, people who topped up their bracelets online with a credit card or PayPal don’t have to do anything; they will be refunded automatically. If you topped up your bracelet with a debit card, you have to fill out a special refund form which will be available online after the festival. Manual refunding of onsite top-ups for people that put money on their bracelet at the festival/camping basically goes by this same procedure; just fill out the refund form and your money will be transferred back. All refunds can be requested until August 10, 12 a.m. CEST. So make sure to follow one of the outlined procedures before the deadline!

CARL COX & FRIENDS / SUPER YOU&ME / DAVE CLARKE The second biggest stage of Tomorrowland was the Opera stage. A beautiful dancefloor, decorated 360 degrees, that gave you the idea that you stepped into a real opera, especially with the Belgian National Orchestra on Sunday. This stage really made you walk around with your mouth wide open for a few minutes before you could start dancing. The Ferris wheel behind the stage, back for a return performance, made the fantasy-like picture complete. It was as if they broke down a former opera to re-use the pieces and build them into a carnival. Once you entered this cage it was really hard to come out again.
DERRICK CARTER PR. FAMILY AND FRIENDS / WE PLAY HOUSE / FORMA.T INVITES MK This round stage looked very impressive. For Belgian and Dutch people it might be familiar, since their ‘mirror tent’ concept is more than a century old. For years they were left unnoticed, but some decades ago people came up with the idea to give them a second life and use them for festivals. This weekend one of the few mirror tents left was put up in the Kingdom of Melodia, giving the People of Tomorrow a 3D impression of their dancing skills. It was not one of the bigger stages of Tomorrowland, but definitely one of the coolest.
BLUE FLAME / BONZAI / BAKERMAT & FRIENDS As one of the oldest of stages of Tomorrowland, this one’s a classic, a time machine ride back to the early days of our beloved festival. A fun fact: back in the days this stage was one of the fanciest. This year, this rowing-boat-lily-printed stage was raving towards the end of its glorious career. The people on it didn’t care, though; they enjoyed like it was Noah’s ark, sailing into the great wild open of Tomorrow. The destination is still unclear.

DIM MAK / Q-DANCE / SMASH THE HOUSE The Frame Stage was a beautiful stage built out of, well, frames. This stage represented a more diverse sound this weekend, with Dim Mak, Q-dance and Smash the House as hosting partners. As the hosts switched every day, the looks of the stage were altered every night. The basic part with the frames, in which by magic visceral video images were displayed, remained the same, but a mask was put on it on Saturday. It witnessed a crowd that went crazy every day, either on the dance floor open to the elements, or safeBelgium from the rain under the big canvas covering in the back. THE-REPORTERS Witness

RADIO ULTRA MODERN

Built on the water, Radio Ultra Modern were to ones to take the helm at this stage. The small wooden building floating next to the beautiful bridge looked awesome in this scenery. The theatre had huge curtains hanging in the entrance and hosts walking on stilts around the dance floor, welcoming people and trying to tease passers-by to join this small but wild party. Radio Ultra Modern’s been around for a while, but it was not just a stage this year – this was really a theatre. A theatre of madness, the theatre of theatres, with the best crowd any theatre has ever seen.
WINTERCLUBBING / WOODY WEEKEND / COINCIDENCE We hope none of you missed this small but very special stage. The Rave Cave is a hidden gem of craziness. A small tunnel in the hill that is exactly what the name suggests: a cave which people rave in. It is probably one of the leftovers of the mining history of the Schorre grounds. There is not much space inside, but if you had a chance to get in there we are pretty sure you had a fantastic time. The Rave Cave is one of the stages that create a perfect destination for people who want a break from the mainstage’s grandeur for a little.
QULT / KETALOCO / B2B Getting to this stage wasn’t always that easy. A slippery hill made it a challenge for some to get up there. Sure, you just could have ascended on the road, but that way is less fun and not the quickest route. The inventive new way up caused some hilarious slips, as people’s balance wasn’t always, well, balanced. Luckily, those who fell were always helped up by friends and passers-by. Entering the stage, made out of braided bamboo, felt like entering a huge torso from some science fiction movie character, his shiny, bright red eyes always watching over you.

CAFEINA / FULL ON / AGE OF LOVE This stage looked like a shell that was washed ashore by a magical invisible sea. As soon as it was found, the first visitors of the Tomorrowlands grounds welcomed it into their hearts. And it responded by opening up and giving us the gift of music. This stage was tucked tightly into a corner right below the One World bridge. In here you could dance in an intimate setting, sand between your toes, watching other visitors pass by on the sides or along the top. Three days in a row, three different partners all treated this shape well. Let us hope Belgium we will see it back next year. THE-REPORTERS

Is it a bookcase, a fireplace at a mansion or a library? Well, we think it’s a combination of all these and maybe even more. This stage was fitted with a number of cases full of big, ancient tomes, as well as some classic stained glass windows in between gold and emerald pillars. The centre offered space for a shape that looked like a fireplace, only this one was fitted with an enormous screen that projected the best graphics and visuals. And all of this constructed between old moss-covered bricks. And if you lost track of time? No worries – the big clock had you covered.
TRANCEADDICT / KOZZMOZZ / BARONG FAMILY Going in here was like entering a clock or some ancient device full of machinery. We don’t know if it could bend space or alter the flow of time. But it certainly was a creaking of constant rotational motions. Inside hung all the flags from Tomorrowland’s nations, too. As the music was playing at its peak the gears spent their time, turning and turning, faster to the beat or slower to the bass. If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that these motions will keep us up and running for days. And once the beat has finally stopped, we will keep the gears running in our hearts.
V-SESSIONS / REVEALED / VERSUZ There are a couple of floating stages at Tomorrowland, but this one is more like a floating oasis. A really big floating oasis. The outside of The Garden of Madness looks like a renaissance building that is overgrown by the green ivy hanging from its sides. On the inside, the oasis continues with some wicked wild floral decorations made out of a wide variety of flowers and wood. We all felt very welcome into this enchanted forest. And if the flowers didn’t make you feel at home the energy-packed atmosphere sure would, pushing up the temperatures to those you’d find in a real greenhouse.

MAINSTAGE A mythical place where 60,000 People of Tomorrow gather every day in twilight. A place were history is written. A castle in a secret Kingdom, were so many secrets have been revealed, were so many have danced – with stars in their eyes – and so much incredible music and moments have been experienced. The exquisite detail almost, but not quite, claimed too much attention. But we have admired the DJs and felt their beats in our hearts. We saw fireworks glowing on our friends’ faces. We saw madness. Some people say it’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey. Well, in this case it’s definitely about both, as stage 13 was quite a walk if you came down all the way from the Opera stage. Nevertheless, it was worth it. And during the rainy hours, the tent filled with good music and great vibes offered some excellent shelter. The poles were decorated like fairytale trees, which made the tent nothing less than a big cozy rave jungle.
MAZDA JOURNEY ISLAND The Mazda Journey Island was like the little China Town of Tomorrowland: a place every land should have no matter what the size is. Entering the stage through its bridge and gateway was like entering a small little realm set within our temporary world. The stage was fitted with panels that had characteristic ornamentation and there were even rice paper lanterns that lighted up in the evening. Their colours referred to cultural elements: the red of the red dragon, the green of the green beans and the gold of the Chinese coins. Together with the stage’s worn edges, these gave it the final, magical touch.

DESPERADOS CLUB
This was the perfect getaway for some relaxation. Out with the business of the festival grounds and in with mother Nature. On the pathway leading up to it, you could not help but relax all your senses. Once inside you could enjoy laid-back, easy-going tunes and sip some nifty gin & tonics. When you wanted things a bit more ‘wild’ you simply added a couple of forest herbs from the garden. And we haven’t even told you the best thing yet: it was a real life floating stage! We hoped that you came here to surround yourself with some nice waterplants and natural wood – we sure did!
Finding this stage wasn’t for as easy as A, B, C for everyone, making the Desperados Club one of the most secretive places on the fields. And mostly, that’s a really good thing. Next to the Opera Stage, there was a tunnel witch led to a corridor, making it quite exciting to get in at night. The Desperados Club itself was a place no one will forget soon. Fluorescent paint on black walls, confetti, pillow fights and of course the Desperados beverage itself were the perfect ingredients for some crazy, tequila-flavoured parties.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
In a matter of mere seconds, 180,000 Tomorrowland tickets are sold each year. The incredible demand led the festival to launch no less than two inaugural international spinoffs – TomorrowWorld in Atlanta, Georgia and Tomorrowland in São Paulo, Brazil. This year the train of madness keeps rolling with the very first Tomorrowland in Brazil on May the 11th, Tomorrowland in Belgium this weekend and a third TomorrowWorld in September. From its base in Boom, Tomorrowland has risen up to the highest echelons of the world’s dance events. Now

with festivals in Brazil and the US, the same mindblowing Tomorrowland experience is not just had once a year anymore. Each continent has its own edition of The Gathering, the notorious DreamVille pre-party, to kick things off. Then comes the festival itself, armed with confetti guns, smoke cannons, huge LED screens, flamethrowers, fireworks and top DJs from all around the world blasting beats through the very best quality soundsystems. And just when you thought there was nothing more to ask for, all of those things are draped in the magical Tomorrowland atmosphere that the Belgian edition first became renowned for.

In September 2013, TomorrowWorld welcomed 160,000 visitors from over 75 countries to the Chattahoochee Hills just outside of Atlanta, Georgia for the very first time. It was the first time Tomorrow went on the road. With big DJ names like David Guetta, Hardwell, Steve Aoki and Calvin Harris, a second residence for the world’s leading electronic music festival was set up on Bouckaert Farm – a domain chosen for its similar natural setting to the landscape of De Schorre in Belgium, where Tomorrowland takes place. A second edition last year just added to the madness and was a sign that TomorrowWorld Atlanta is here to stay.
“In 2013 we announced that Tomorrowland was coming to the US, while people thought it was coming to Brazil,” Justin Epstein, spokesperson for TomorrowWorld says. “It’s almost like winning the Olympics of house music. It’s like winning the World Cup or the Olympics for your city.” He goes on to explain, “When the two brothers Michiel and Manu Beers started the festival, they started it because they love where they’re from, they love their hometown, and they just love music. Truthfully it started as a little festival and it just literally grew and grew and kept on growing. And the reason why it’s become what it has become is just because the Beers brothers have never lost sight of that.”

This year, the step already anticipated in 2015 was finally taken. Maeda Park, Itu was the venue, and madness and magic were the main ingredients for Tomorrowland Brasil. It’s safe to say that the South American excursion was an enormous success, which is why a second edition was immediately announced. With now two weekends for Tomorrowland’s 10th birthday last year, a first edition of Tomorrowland Brazil, another Tomorrowland this weekend and a third TomorrowWorld in September, Tomorrow is on the road again and bigger than ever before.
