YOU ’ VE ACHIEVED UNITY!
It must have seemed impossible, friends. Strong as the call may have been, you had nothing but an intuition of a place – and yet you came. From far and wide you poured into Planaxis, diving deep into that wondrous world, not knowing what you’d find. With a spiraling sense of urgency, however, onwards you went. Floating between scaly creatures and swirling buildings made of shells, you came to discover Planaxis’ namesake and its guiding principle: the shape of a humble critter of the seas, the Spira Mirabilis. Physically, it was the blueprint for our underwater realm – but when played in the form of sound, it became the call that drew you

to the ocean floor. Now, a mere three days into this extraordinary endeavour, the Spira Mirabilis has left its mark on you. Everything you see, hear, and touch is changed forever, connected by that principle of perfect harmony. Deep within, it did its work, installing love and gratitude before gyrating outwards, tracing the lines between you and all that lives. Friends! It will be hard to say goodbye, but you will leave this fabled land with purpose: to spread across the world the unprecedented force of friendship you’ve discovered. You will remain ambassadors of Planaxis – forever!
A FINAL SERENADE Where words fail, dance music speaks: this has been true since electronic beats first hit the global dance floors. And nothing proved to be more true across the countless corners of the bubbly paradise we’ve learned to call Planaxis. Whether it was EDM you came for, techno, breakbeats, house or hardstyle, music has spoken to you until Garrix dropped the very last drop. So long, mermen and mermaids! 1

THE LEGACY OF
DREAMVILLE Dear Roamers of Planaxis, nothing lasts forever, and therefore, today will be the day you step away from the Holy Grounds. On your way out of DreamVille, the stirring in your soul probably has you wondering – should you keep walking towards the exit or turn around? Just remember that your dream to stay right where you are means that you were made to carry on the legacy of Planaxis. Treasure the new friendships, the wonderful pictures, the things you’ve learned and all you have seen. These amazing memories will stay with you forever and we promise that the ongoing after-Tomorrowland ecstasy will remain for a lifetime. Never let it be said that dreaming is a waste of your time, for dreams are our realities in waiting. In dreams, we plant the seeds of our future: the future of Tomorrow. Therefore, this is not goodbye. This is certainly a ‘see you later’!
“I was here last year, but never experienced these tropical temperatures.” Pieter-Jan (25) from Belgium has multiple tips in store for us: “You should definitely try a Fresh & Black tent, drink a lot of water, use your fan, and wear something on your head.” Why not use the last edition of TML Today? They make great hats.
“After we’re all done with our tents, we will set up our pool!” Sophie (25) goes on: “We’re also making sure we wear enough sunscreen so that we won’t get a sunburn on the first day.” That would surely ruin the party…
Sandra (20) has just returned from her trip to Spain, where she went swimming and tanning. “It’s actually hotter here in Planaxis than it was during my holiday.” She and her friend Cynthia (27) use a hand fan to cope with the heat. “You can take it with you wherever you go!”
4
Roxanne (19) from Luxemburg has it all figured out. While she sits in her chair, Alex (20) blows cold air towards her. Roxanne: “It’s hot at DreamVille, but still a lot of fun! The tents are finally up and we’ll bring our fan with us all weekend to stay cool.”

Freke (26) & Jolien (27) from Belgium have found the perfect way to cool down while setting up their tent. “They’re handing out free ice cream here! But we probably shouldn’t have said that, now everybody knows…”
How could you not love the look? Roland from Belgium does his morning groceries in a giraffe onesie. When asked why, he laughs: “Why not?”
B E LG I U M
Marc (22) from Germany really needed a shower after yesterday. “I hope that it will be a bit colder today and that everybody will be happy!” Well, Marc, your smile is the only sunshine we need.
It is completely understandable that you might feel a bit jealous of Arnaud here. This Belgian lucky bird got to wake up to an army of morning fairies!
Lana (23) from Belgium is in a hurry to get to the festival as fast as possible. “Every morning I’m in a hurry to go to work, but today I just want to go to the festival quickly. After this I will put on my favourite lipstick and I’ll be ready to take on the world!” Go get ‘em, girl!
5
“We’re just sitting here wishing everybody a good morning.” Cyril (21) and Victorien (21) from Belgium are spreading happiness all over DreamVille. Armed with orange juice and a full box of cereal, they’re surely starting their day in a positive way.

The STORY OF PLANAXIS
TOMORROWL AND TODAY
2018
The journey through the Story of Planaxis has been wonderful, and you have been incredibly kind to each other and to Mother Nature. The Recycle Clubhouse has had many visitors and inspired the People of Tomorrow. With you returning to homes all over the world, we are looking forward to seeing the message being spread. As your journey continues to other places, don’t forget to be extra kind to yourself. Planaxis was an intense adventure, so take a break to relax, eat healthily and recharge your batteries completely.
LOVE TOMORROW THE WATERS OF LIFE
L E AV E N O T R AC E WAT E R O F TO M O R ROW : forget… When you leave the Holy Grounds, leave them as you found them when P R E S E RV I N G O U R B LU E P L A N E T Don’t you arrived. Please take all your waste to the Recycle Points and sort it well, and take your
camping gear with you as your journey continues. Since this will be impossible for some, there are CAMP2CAMP points where you can drop off your stuff for it to be re-used later.
Planaxis is all about water and the creatures who make water their habitat. For us, humans, it is the most important one of our basic needs. 60% of a grown-up’s body consists of water! Our planet’s surface consists of 71% water, but less than one percent of all available water is suitable for human consumption. On top of that, with climate change intensifying, water sources are dwindling. To secure water supplies for our generation and the ones to come, it is necessary to make efficient use of all available water. Love Tomorrow is cooperating with the start-up BOSAQ to do just that. BOSAQ builds modular water purification systems that turn salt, brackish and fresh surface water into drinking water, using only renewable energy. The idea is that water supplies can be organized completely off-grid. BOSAQ wants to provide this technology in remote areas where there is a lack of drinking water.
CAMPING GAS DISPOSAL
Reminder to those of you who have been cooking: bring your camping gas cans to your District House! Staff there will have the correct bins for them. Do not dispose of them in general waste! This can cause explosions at the waste processing site.
Backstage at Tomorrowland, BOSAQ ran an installation that purified the water available in the ponds of the festival site into premium drinking water. That way, Tomorrowland’s crew was already served with the water of Tomorrow. Imagine, in a few years, all the People of Tomorrow drinking purified water from a nearby river or the ponds at the Holy Grounds! How innovative would that be?

THE FINAL DESTINATION Together with fellow People of Tomorrow, those who booked a Global Journey package travelled many miles. Side by side they flew, crisscrossed and cruised from one place to another, experiencing the best parts of Europe. From 83 different cities in the world and 37 countries, they came to destination Planaxis. Trains drove in from 5 different cities in 4 countries, and busses voyaged from 11 departure cities located in 4 nations. So many different nationalities, so many different people with their own ideas, hopes and dreams have travelled together. We wish you safe travels back home over sea and land, filled with new friends – because good company makes travel so much easier.
R E L I V E YO U R W E E K E N D Music is what united us all this weekend. It’s a phenomenon in which beauty, emotion, and harmony of the soul are expressed through soundwaves. Many artists have poured out their souls in the realm of Planaxis, uniting the People of Tomorrow in sonorous bliss. It has been an adventurous journey, in which we dove into the depths of the Mainstage, made a splash in the Garden of Madness, went crazy at the Freedom stage and let our inner compass lead us to the Organ of Harmony. History was created by the citizens of Planaxis. Should nostalgia kick in once the seas have brought you home – and it certainly will – then know that you can forever reminisce about your journey via 365.tomorrowland.com. Alternatively, search for ‘Tomorrowland’ on Spotify and you’ll find curated playlists of all the sounds of Planaxis.
THE GARDEN OF MADNESS
Refund remaining Pearls
Yes, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike are from Belgium. But did you know that you can enjoy their Garden of Madness parties all summer long at Ushuaïa Ibiza? Though the brothers’ sets are always enough to set the place on fire, special guests this year include Diplo, Steve Aoki, Steve Angello, and Lost Frequencies. Off the hook, bonkers and totally nuts… If that’s your thing, then you should totally come to Ushuaïa this summer – and you stand a chance of doing so on a completely curated trip! The contest? Take a photo of yourself wearing your new TML by Tomorrowland swag or show off your official Tomorrowland flag. Upload your picture on Instagram or Facebook and tag @tmlbytomorrowland. Maybe you’ll win the ultimate Garden of Madness experience, including entrance, hotel and flights. Winners will be contacted personally through Instagram on September 3rd. The event is on September 25th!
It is time to swim away from Planaxis and cross the seas back home. Do you still have Pearls on your bracelet? Unspent Pearls, with the exception of ‘Bonus Pearls’, will be refunded after the festival. Did you first Top-Up your bracelet online using a credit card (Visa, Mastercard), Bancontact or Ideal? Then you’ll receive an automatic refund. Did you Top-Up your bracelet on-site at Tomorrowland and/ or DreamVille with cash or a credit/debit card? Then you will have to fill out a manual refund form. The form will be available on the My Bracelet page on tomorrowland.com and in the app until August 15th 2018. A 2-Pearl refund fee will be charged for all refunds. 2018
STAGING PLANAXIS The absolute core of a festival’s success are the people and the music, and they are the original sparks of Tomorrowland’s magic, too. Yet from the beginning, Tomorrowland has prided itself in adding much more to the mix – by making each and every podium a feast for the eyes, first of all. Planaxis’ buildings lived up to thIS tradition: lights, lasers, colours, fountains, fire, dancers, marvels, wonders and anything else you could think of. We’ll take you on a rewind along the seventeen stages of Tomorrowland. Have you visited them all?
MAINSTAGE Possibly more so than any other area, the Mainstage breathed (or should we say bubbled?) the spirit of Planaxis. A true underwater metropolis with gorgeous buildings, presided over by an enormous seahorse, Tomorrowland’s largest stage immediately blew you away. Some people cried first laying eyes on it, it’s that beautiful. The stage boasted enormous fountains, underwater creatures of all kinds, wiry tentacles crawling over ancient structures, all of it in view of thousands and thousands of dancers looking down from the surrounding hills. The neverending smiles upon their faces became wider still when fireworks lit up the sky. Mainstage, you will be forever in our hearts.
ORGAN OF HARMONY
ORGAN OF HARMONY / LOST FREQUENCIES / SMASH THE HOUSE As was the case with the Mainstage, the hills surrounding the Organ of Harmony were laid out around the stage like a massive amphitheatre. The actual organ was a monumental piece of architecture, able to make music heard from Boom to the other end of the world. When facing the stage, you could see perfectly symmetrical fountains inside (!) of its pipes. What timeworn technologies made this machine tick we do not know, but the organ’s blue glow against the orange sky at dusk... A sight to remember forever. Throughout the weekend, the Organ of Harmony saw top-notch entertainers including Steve Aoki, 2manydjs and Armand van Helden take the stage.
MOOSE It’s been a hot weekend at Tomorrowland, but you wouldn’t necessarily say so inside of this hidden gem, which was one of the most peculiar stages of the year. Moose looked like a German ‘Kneipe’ with the crew wearing Tiroler outfits as they poured pilsener into massive pint glasses with equally large handles. If you love après-skiing, this was likely to be one of your favourites. It was next-level alpine partying though, with the prettiest girls from the mountainside dancing on tables, lots of reindeer imagery on the walls, flowers hanging from the woodwork, and patrons singing along to folk-style dance music. Yodelay-hee-hoo!

GARDEN OF MADNESS
SEXY BY NATURE / GARDEN OF MADNESS / ANTS Tranquility and madness. It’s an odd combination, to say the least, but the Garden of Madness fit the description nonetheless. After a steamy approach over a bridge with tropical flowers looming left and right, you’d arrive at the area’s central square: a true oasis of actual hanging gardens! You wouldn’t have noticed without looking up to the ceiling, but a sea of pink and white flowers presided over you as you rocked the dance floor, safely shielded from the sun. 2018’s Garden of Madness featured hostings by Ibiza’s famous club night ANTS and Sunnery James & Ryan Marciano’s Sexy by Nature concept.
CAGE ONRAAD / STAR WARZ PRES. SHOGUN AUDIO / FOOTWORXX Despite its small size, the Cage proved to be one of the sensations of this year’s Tomorrowland. Representing the sweaty vibes of the old-school nightclubs to be found in the world’s major cities, dancing in the dark and sweaty Cage was an experience full of ecstatic climaxes. Dancers, both professional and amateur-level, came together for an inclusive choreography where it didn’t matter where you came from; all that mattered was the dance floor. It was a perfect vibe for Antwerp’s techno crew Onraad, the drum & bass selectors of Star Warz and – finally – the punishing-kickdrum-addicts of Footworxx.
YOUPHORIA V SESSIONS / BARONG FAMILY / MOSAIC Tomorrowland is a land of magic, and so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that mushrooms always find a place to grow here – even if the sun was blistering hot in the underwater kingdom of Planaxis. The eight deeppurple mushrooms encircling the Youphoria stage formed the perfect setting for the layered and mind-bending sounds spun by the artists headlining the area. With American techno star Maceo Plex and freaky bass heads Yellow Claw among the jocks running the stage, the ‘shrooms and their abundant spores seemed perfectly at ease. Who needs Alice in Wonderland when you have your own looking glass?
ARCH HELDEEP / KNTXT / VII Fans of the neoclassicist architecture characteristic of Paris’ Arc de Triomphe, the Haarlemmerpoort in Amsterdam and Barcelona’s Arc de Triomf didn’t need to look any further after arriving at the Arch. With lots of subtle hints to the mighty Roman Empire, fans of Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci and Michelangelo found paradise here, too. It seemed like a life-threatening gladiator fight could break out at any time, yet you showed no fear on the dance floor, and the only thing occasionally getting violent turned out to be the music. The three promoters - Heldeep, KNTXT and VII – were all very different in style, but united in their dedicated love for the euphoric spirit of dance music.

TULIP STAGE ANJUNADEEP / FUTURE SOUND OF EGYPT / KETALOCO Radiating outwards from a centre formed by artists playing music, the Tulip lived up to the geometrical ideals of Planaxis. One of the smaller stages of Tomorrowland, and centrally located, the Tulip was always a great place to meet up with friends, too. Once you arrived, you’d find each other soon enough – and you may have stayed a while longer. Clubs can be intimate and cozy, but the same goes for festival stages and Tulip expresses that idea – it’s a flower with a beach in front! Vastly different species of plant hosted this stage in 2018: Anjunadeep, Future Sound of Egypt and, of course, the mind-alterers of Ketaloco
LEAF BY JBL ALL DAY I DREAM / ABRACADABRA / CAFE MAMBO IBIZA Accessible only via a floating boardwalk, you needed to go for a stroll to reach this little gem surrounded by a lush pond. For the People of Tomorrow in the know, LEAF was a vital part of their weekend, as it was rather secluded from everything else, making the island’s outer reaches a good place to catch a breather. At the same time, the sound of this little island party carried over the water to the pond’s shores; passers-by were easily drawn in, wondering what it was all about. Dancing at LEAF was an otherworldly experience and hosts All Day I Dream, Abracadabra and Café Mambo Ibiza fit the state of mind of the hazy islanders perfectly.
FREEDOM BY BUDWEISER A STATE OF TRANCE / FREEDOM / SMASH THE HOUSE Tomorrowland is a festival that started out of the idea to bring nightlife culture to open air festivals. Last year, that whole concept was turned back around by building the biggest nightclub ever to be seen at a festival. Hidden behind an enchanting façade, the Freedom stage by Budweiser was sure to blow you right out of your sneakers with its roof holding no less than 1400 square metres of LED video walls. As it should be, the biggest club also hosted the biggest names, and so we saw Steve Aoki, Salvatore Ganacci, and Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike pass through here.
HOUSE OF MASK BY CUBANISTO HUSH HUSH / TRYBE / FLOORFILLER The House of Mask by Cubanisto was hidden away behind the Freedom stage, and if you think leftfield house and techno are the pearls of the electronic music scene, then this stage sure had to be your oyster throughout the festival. With some of the most adventurous promoters hosting the stage, the House of Mask was one of the cutting-edge hotspots in Planaxis. The many faces and masks of underground dance music were to be found right here, surrounded by a variety of fluorescent images and artistic creations. It seemed like it had never made more sense to just dance the futuristic night away.

ROSE GARDEN NETSKY & FRIENDS / BONZAI / SPINNIN’ Since three years the festival has had its very own pet mascot: our majestic water dragon, our guardian of the Rose Garden. Weighing in at more than thirty-four metric tonnes, breathing fire, blinking her big eyes, spreading the scent of roses out over the people as she rose out of the water – her tail reached nearly as far as the Brewery – she was a sight you could not afford to have missed at Tomorrowland. Underneath the dragon’s protective wings you were dragged into the wobbly bass world of Netsky & Friends, the retro rave sounds of Bonzai, and the eclectic feel of Spinnin’, the mightiest ever record label on YouTube.
AMICORUM SPECTACULUM PRESENTS:
THEATRE FORMIDABLE PUSSY LOUNGE / THEATRE FORMIDABLE / I LOVE THE ‘90S Built by Amicorum Spectaculum, the band of born entertainers that took over Tomorrowland last year, Theatre Formidable was just that: formidable. This stage marked the very first time at Tomorrowland that the DJ booth was placed right in the middle of the audience, and it was topped off with no less than two richly decorated carrousels from the Amici’s travelling circus. Over the weekend, you got to enjoy the rawness of Pussy Lounge with Paul Estak and Korsakoff, the techy beats of Alan Fitzpatrick and Paco Osuna, plus DJ Jean and Sash!’s Eurodance vibes.
THE HARBOUR HOUSE RADIO ULTRA MODERN Another familiar element of the story of Tomorrow is without any doubt the Harbour House, hosted by Radio Ultra Modern for as long as anybody can remember. The Harbour House was located across the pond from the Rose Garden, its lighthouse always ready to guide stray swimmers of Planaxis back to safety. If you wanted to take your partying skills to the next level, the House’s pin-up dancers and entertainers would gladly help you out. You’d hear some retro-futuristic fifties and sixties swing there, as well as turntablist craftsmanship by notorious Belgian nightlife regulars like Rakka, Rakesh a.k.a. Blackjack9000, and Zeen & Myer.
RAVE CAVE KRANKENHAUS / SIRKUS / COINCIDENCE This was the most beautiful little gem the festival had to offer by far. Located in a hidden-away hide-out underneath the Cage stage, the Rave Cave was where all bets are off when it came to raving like there was no Tomorrow. It was all about being there, with just a handful of others, living the moment to the fullest. This stage has become one of Tomorrowland’s classics, garnering much more attention – both in the real world and in online spheres – than such a little place normally world. And rightfully so: if you haven’t been to the Rave Cave, you haven’t really lived the madness.

ATMOSPHERE PRYDA / Q-DANCE / ATMOSPHERE What used to be just a tent grew out to become a highly impressive structure, the place to be for all of you who were here to indulge in nothing but the best beats. With a tailor-made scaffolding no less than 32 metres high propping up walls with stained glass big enough to rival a cathedral, the Atmosphere stage was the ultimate eyecatcher of Tomorrowland 2018. Inside the tent, 120,000 LED lights flickered their way into insanity as the music varied from Eric Prydz’s ecstatic house to Q-dance’s hardstyle kicks to Nina Kraviz’ ultimate display of DJ flair. This was your church, this was where you healed your hurts.
CORE SPECTRUM / CROSSTOWN REBELS PRES. GET LOST / POTION Let’s break it down to the pure essentials of dance and electronic music; let’s break it down to the Core. Hidden in the woods between the Mainstage and the Atmosphere tent, the Core stage was the ultimate place to be for intimate, secluded sessions with serious DJs. Seemingly arisen from the surrounding forest, it was made out of wood, sober, with nothing to get in the way of the music. Its adventurously uneven dancefloor made connecting with fellow house and techno enthusiasts easy as you moved to Pete Tong, Dixon, Claptone, and many other masters of the trade.

For those of you that have been here before, way back in the days when DreamVille still hosted campsite parties, you must admit that The Gathering surpasses that description on all fronts. The Gathering is an extra festival day, a day of homecoming at Tomorrowland, of putting down roots on these Holy Grounds, setting up camp and shaking your tail feathers for the very first time.

Straight after the first notes of Paul Kalkbrenner’s Daybreak Session, the Spira Mirabilis started working its magic on your soul. With Kölsch playing even more melodic techno at the Mainstage, you got to experience a premiere for the festival. There were friends around you, colourful lights, and a whole lot of fireworks – and before long, it was over already. The seahorse looked out over you and saw that all was well.

Bubbles! Bubbles everywhere! But if there’s one thing you can say, then it’s that those bubbles didn’t burst on Saturday. As the mysterious creatures of Planaxis came out to play, you roamed the grounds and made them your own. You waved your hands, flexed your smiles and danced until the sun went down. The unique experience of Unite, with the tribute to the late Avicii, made this a bittersweet, but satisfying day.

With the weekend about to come to a close, you turned that fire inside you up one more time – or was it the Spira Mirabilis boiling in your blood? Whether you were under the wings of the Rose Garden’s dragon, kissing in front of the Ferris wheel at the Freedom stage, or showing your love at the Organ of Harmony, Sunday sure was funday. And the day you vowed to come back next year, of course.
