ALPE D’HUEZ FRANCE

PEOPLE OF TOMORROW,

TOGETHER AT LAST

At last, we have found our way home to the mountains again. It feels like a lifetime ago that we were able to unite here. Your echoes prevailed, and as the seasons changed and changed again, the excitement of your return here lingered. Throughout the waiting and wishing, the presence of your fellows always remained tangible. Now, finally, the stars have aligned, returning you are all here at the same time and the same place.

Your days here will be memorable on so many levels. It will be everything you had your heart set on, and more. Wrap up in layers of winter gear, warm your heart to the long-awaited sounds of the mountain call and show each other the love we have been longing for. Your time here will show you that our connection remained, no better yet, that the bond has only grown stronger in physical absence. This reunion was written in the stars. Look each other in the eyes and you will instantly know; we were one, together, all along after all.

WITH OPEN HEART

Strangers are just friends you are yet to meet, and your time here will prove this to be true. Whether you’re exploring the area with longtime friends or moving from chance to chance encounter; let’s look after each other.

THE PUSH YOU NEED The brand new Tomorrowland Festival App is here! And there was never a better time or place to test it than here in the French Alps. Make sure to allow push notifications to stay up to date on all last-minute info. 1

YOU WANT TO DANCE AGAIN

Have you ever been so elated to just dance? To move your body to the rhythm of not just the DJ, but finally to the pace of those around you as well? Luckily, the lineup offers the best of all. From swaying to the melodic beats of Kungs to Charlotte de Witte’s deep bass lines altering the pace of your heartbeat; and from all-stars like Armin van Buuren to relatively new talent like Cellini, you can have your cake and eat it too. Whether you plan your day around must-sees or whether you go where the snowdrifts, with an array of artists like this, you simply can’t miss. Find all the info you need in ‘Focus on the Music’ on page 26.

TOMORROWLAND TODAY

WELCOME BACK HOME

Got me higher than life, you're like the harmony to every single melody. I know that I can't fight the chemistry. I'm falling into you.

It almost feels surreal to welcome you back home, beautiful People of Tomorrow. After a heart wrenching hibernation, our darkest days are over. It's with great pleasure that we welcome you back home after two frigid years. All our wonderful plans and ideas were frozen in time and now finally the moment is here to unleash the essence of winter. After for some a literal, and for others only a metaphorically long journey, it is heartwarming to see you all united here in Alpe d'Huez again. Oh Chosen Ones, your time here will take you to great heights.

With so much to see, do, explore, taste and listen to, don’t forget to take in the magic of this grand reunion itself. The moment that you’ve longed for for so long, is finally happening. All these glorious souls, dancing alongside each other; so many top chefs to cook you the tastiest food; professional cocktail shakers who will serve you exclusive drinks; and last but not least, let’s not forget about the array of artists who can finally release their cooped up energy into the crowd. At last, you all meet one another, here in the heat of the moment.

ZERO LITTER 100% DOABLE

How can you not love nature? Just take a deep breath and admire this spotless, undulating landscape around you. We must do our utmost to keep our surroundings as pristine as possible.

MORE AT CORE

That’s why we continue to reduce Tomorrowland’s own environmental footprint. In fact, our aim is to become climate positive. We’re changing the materials we work with, are collaborating closely with local partners and we’re optimising logistics to fly as little as possible.

Hear, hear! A new two-day boutique festival: CORE Festival!

As for you, we’d love it if you make your best effort to not litter this beautiful area. To make this as easy as possible, there are sorting bins all around the festival area and there are people with Tetra Pak bin backpacks skiing down the slopes. Love the Alps, love the planet, Love Tomorrow!

FOREVER HOME

Isabella came, partied and never left Alpe d'Huez “I thought I wouldn’t have enough energy to party and snowboard all week back in 2019, but Tomorrowland proved me wrong! I will always remember Joris Voorn in B2B with Kölsch who played under a snowstorm. I made the decision to buy an apartment in Alpe d’Huez. This year I am coming with friends and my boyfriend Alex, whom I met a few months ago in Alpe d’Huez! I guess I did right when I decided to follow my heart to come to Tomorrowland, because my heart is now filled with even more love than I could have imagined.” 7

Featuring an eclectic line-up across 4 different stages, CORE Is a brand new boutique festival wielding a wide array of genres and niches. But CORE is more than mere music. With a focus on impressive and unique art, sound, and light installations, the raw beauty of Osseghem Park, Brussels will awaken all your senses. A partnership with rock festival Rock Werchter, CORE Festival will be breaking the boundaries between quality indie, hip hop, electronica, hyper pop, and alternative dance, offering moments of continuous discoveries from upcoming talents and international heroes.

TOMORROWLAND TODAY

TRAVEL THE WORLD AND THE SEVEN SEAS TRAVELLERS FROM ALL CARDINAL POINTS HEARD THE MOUNTAINS CALLING AND HEADED TO THE PROMISED LAND: TOMORROWLAND WINTER. HOW TO PREPARE FOR SUCH A LONG-AWAITED JOURNEY, WHAT TO PACK FOR ALPINE ADVENTURES? FROM DIFFERENT CONTINENTS, THESE PEOPLE OF TOMORROW EMBARKED ON THEIR JOURNEY TO REUNITE ON THE SNOW SIDE.

Name: William Age: 32 Country: France Are you new to Tomorrowland? "Definitely not! I visited Tomorrowland three times and I attended two digital festivals. I also have been to Tomorrowland Winter once before." Who are you travelling with this time? "My girlfriend and I are on our way to Tomorrowland Winter together. This will be her first time ever visiting Tomorrowland. She is so excited!" What is your tip to other firsttimers? "Try to see as many stages as you can. You will certainly discover new artists and meet new friends." What item do you always pack first? "The first thing to pack is of course my Tomorrowland ticket. A close second is the biggest puffer jacket I have!"

Name: Jonathan Age: 25 Country: Belgium What is the craziest item you packed? "I'm sure that to some this wouldn’t be crazy, but for me it is. I just bought a faux fur jacket! Of course, I'll wear it to party in the snow."

Are you new to Tomorrowland? "I was lucky enough to visit a lot of Tomorrowland events, actually. From 2014 until now, I visited every edition. This is also my second time at Tomorrowland Winter."

What is the craziest item you packed? "We have special outfits for one of our favourite spots: the Moose Bar. The whole group will dress up in Tiroler style."

Suitcase or duffle bag? "Why would I choose? I have too much stuff to bring to Tomorrowland, so I will bring and fully stuff both."

Who are you travelling with this time? "Our party crew for Tomorrowland Winter is pretty huge! Their names are Miguel, Jean Carlo, Franky, Quinten, Ben V, Michelle, Stephanie, Ludovic, Ben R, Jean-Marc and Isabelle."

Suitcase or duffle bag? "I’ll try to pack everything into a really big suitcase."

How much does your luggage weigh? "Way too much! Bringing winter stuff with you is so heavy, especially if you get chilly easily, like me."

What is your tip to first-timers? "My tip would be to make sure you make lots of new friends. Unity is the key!"

Will you bring your own ski/ boarding gear? "As we’re travelling to Alpe d’Huez by car, we can bring a lot more than if we were to travel by plane or train. So we’re definitely bringing our own ski gear and a lot of different outfits."

What item do you always pack first? "That is an easy question: my Official Tomorrowland flag of course!" 10

How much does your luggage weigh? "My suitcase is probably at least 25 kilograms. I am so glad we are travelling by car." Will you bring your own ski/ boarding gear? "I brought my own ski gear. I can't wait to get back on the slopes in Alpe d’Huez again."

What is the craziest item you packed? "The craziest item is probably an Australian bikini. I'd love to take some pictures in the snow!"

Are you new to Tomorrowland? "Nope! I spent a full madness weekend in Boom twice, in 2012 and 2017. I also came to Alpe d'Huez in 2020, but unfortunately then the pandemic hit."

Who are you travelling with this time? "I’m here with my beautiful boyfriend Charlie Peacock."

Suitcase or duffle bag? "Always a suitcase!"

Who are you travelling with this time? "I am attending with some friends from the Netherlands."

How much does your luggage weigh? "My suitcase is always heavy! I would like to apologize to everyone who will handle my suitcase at the airport, haha."

What is your pro tip to firsttimers? "After the pandemic, I'd say: keep washing your hands so we can unite again and again!"

Will you bring your own ski/ boarding gear? "I rented a snowboard to make it easier to travel, but I did buy some wicked snow gear. I'm more than ready for this adventure."

What item do you always pack first? "That's a tough choice. This would be a tie between my flag of Curaçao or my TML by Tomorrowland backpack."

Name: Anna Age: 32 Country: Canada Who are you coming with? "Solo! I can't wait to make new friends from all across the globe." What is your tip to other firsttimers? "I'd say; bring comfortable shoes, so you can dance all day. Make sure you don’t mind getting them dirty." What item do you always pack first? "Party pants! Those will be the eyecatchers of my outfits."

What is the craziest item you packed? "I'm so looking forward to wearing my handmade headband with flowers and little sparkling lights. It's perfect for all my party outfits." Suitcase or duffle bag? "My choice would be a suitcase." How much does your luggage weigh? "I am guessing about 20 kg." Will you bring your own ski/ boarding gear? What item do you always pack first? "Probably sunscreen haha! Please, let it be sunny all week!"

What is the craziest item you packed? "The craziest item would be my fuzzy white LED gloves. Isn't that the perfect item for Tomorrowland Winter?"

How much does your luggage weigh? "Haha at least 30kg, I guess. Skis and shoes not included!" Will you bring your own ski/ boarding gear? "Of course! When you go on winter break every year, it only makes sense to have your own gear."

GREAT HEIGHTS

GREAT APPETITES WHERE THERE ARE PEOPLE LIVING THE GOOD LIFE, THERE IS GOOD FOOD TO BE FOUND. THAT’S WHY THIS WEEK, THE PINNACLE OF THE PALATABLE CAN BE FOUND RIGHT HERE IN ALPE D’HUEZ. WITH FOUR HOTSPOTS TO SIT BACK AND LET YOUR TASTE BUDS DO THE EXERCISING, YOU DON’T HAVE TO BE REMORSEFUL ABOUT LEAVING YOUR SNOW GEAR TO DO SOME RESTING.

LUNCH LIKE A LOCAL CHANTEBISE

THE CORE OF SWEET MADNESS FOLIE DOUCE

When in the Alps, do like the Alpinians. If you want to lunch like a local, Chantebise is the perfect mountain station to halt at. With their delicious mountain lunch package deals, you can enjoy an appetizer, main course and dessert while savouring the equally luscious view. What to order, now you’ve adapted to your near-native disguise? Chantebise’s homemade comfort all tastes like it came straight from your adopted French grandma’s kitchen, but the tartiflette is as local as it gets.

‘Folie Douce’ translates as ‘sweet madness’ and if that description even closely matches your personality, this is your place to be. Hosted by The CORE, Folie Douce offers not just a menu boasting the official Tomorrowland dessert, but it also means you can stay for the cherry on the cake: the pre-during-or-after-ski party. With artists like Patrice Bäumel, DJ Licious and Kölsch, it doesn't take a genius to understand why they’re all gently mad here; you’ll fit right in.

SWEET DREAMS ARE MADE OF CHEESE SIGNAL 2108

WHERE WINTER TASTES LIKE SUMMER BRASA

Melted, grated, gooey or fresh; there’s one secret ingredient that just makes life tastier. Cheese! When one of the world’s top cheese refiners’ home base is right here in the French Alps, you’ll not want to ski past the chance of having a taste. Luckily, Bernard Mure-Ravaud is here to serve his knowledge to each of you. If you think you know mountain fondue, think again, because Bernard didn’t become the creme de la cheese for no reason. Let the expert show you how to really ‘say cheese’! Enjoy this fondue dinner while taking in the magnificent view.

Mmm, experience how the smell of charcoal and spices combined with the sound of sizzling food instantly transports you to some of your favourite summer memories. But Brasa will show you that a great BBQ meal fits just as well (if not better?) in winter setting. Settle on the outdoor deck, where you find the Belgian Beer Bar by Victoria, where you can taste some of Belgium’s finest, or head straight for the sizzling Ofyr barbecues instead. Not to worry, Brasa offers something tasty for everyone, as you can opt for a tender piece of meat, fish, veggie, and of course for the TML Burger.

A FIERY CHEF SHOW-COOKING OVER OPEN BBQ FIRE Brasa has fiery foods available for all, but it also features a reservation-only Chef ’s Spectacle with delish cocktails. Toon De Bock, who spent the past few years serving delicious bites as artist caterer, now adds fire to the flames at the Brasa Experience. From artists in summer to show-cooking during Winter. Tell us more! “I hosted the artist catering at Tomorrowland Belgium 2019 and I was lucky enough to cook for them at the recordings for Tomorrowland Around the World as well. I was so excited when I was invited to cook here at Winter; it is so nice to see everyone again.” Brasa equals BBQ. Are you a BBQ kinda person? “I love working with open fire. Actually, a lot of what I do is centred around the Ofyr barbecues; quite literally, because if you work with open fire, people always gather around. Fire never fails to fascinate.” What makes a good meal to you? “Every chef will agree that a good meal requires great ingredients. But personally, I like to add some rock and roll. People tend to think of chefs as dull, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. Cooking over open fire always wows the crowd.” What are you most looking forward to? “My ten days here will be all about food; I will be cooking at Brasa every single evening. But of course, I will try and sneak out for an hour here and there during the day to powder down the hill, –just don’t tell my business partner!”

NEVER MISS A MOMENT WITH ONE WORLD RADIO

The perfect way to start your day at Tomorrowland Winter is to make a coffee, grab a croissant and tune into your favourite radio station: One World Radio, the festival’s official broadcaster. Three years into its existence it has grown to be the go-to platform for fans of all types of electronic music with several studios around the world and listeners in over 130 countries. Whilst One World Radio has never stopped broadcasting, this week marks the first time since 2019 that you can enjoy Tomorrowland footage in real time. Here’s what to expect. While people around the world are celebrating their regained freedom, One World Radio has also got something else to celebrate; the third birthday of the station. The station first started broadcasting back on 18 February 2019, just before Tomorrowland’s first Winter edition. With artists entering the studio non-stop and lots of other exciting stuff going on, Tomorrowland Winter 2019 felt like the moment One World Radio really came to life. And now that it is finally happening again, the studio will once again turn into the lively hub it was three years ago. As always, it all starts with The Gathering. The Gathering is the ultimate pre party, an event with ever increasing levels of excitement, the one that takes you out of the real world into a world of magic for four days. And guess what? One World Radio is the only place online where you can follow everything that’s going on at the Gathering: from DJ sets to interviews and lots of interesting facts. Body aching from a day on the slopes or getting ready for the after-ski fun? Tune in to The Gatering live from your snow cabin. By Wednesday Tomorrowland won’t be holding back any longer. It’s the day all stages are set to open: from the Mainstage in the town of Alpe d’Huez to the stages higher up the slopes such as Chrystal Garden by Ellesse, the CORE and a frosty little dance floor called Top of the Mountain. One World Radio will send out wintery vibes to anyone interested, whether that’s you in the ski-lift or your friends at home who sadly couldn’t make it this year.

Wednesday to Friday, One World Radio will be live every day between 12h00 to 02h00 - that’s 14 hours of live radio every day! The station’s hosts Adam K, Justin and Camille will take you to the stages as if you were there yourself and will also talk to lots of artists in the studio, including of course many of Tomorrowland Winter’s headliners. The easiest way to listen to One World Radio is via the super handy Tomorrowland app, so make sure to download it on your phone when you can. Otherwise, you can also tune in via tml.com and YouTube as well as various DAB and FM frequencies. On top of that, everything will be livestreamed so you can almost literally be in the studio yourself whenever you feel like it. As always, One World Radio will broadcast music 24/7. Tune in for Daybreak Sessions by Greg Jake from 07h00 to 12h00. We promise you there isn’t a better way to recover from your hangover. Having a little afterparty in your hotel room in the wee hours or doing some early morning yoga instead? One World Radio is always on. Switch on the radio for the best electronic music and cosy winter vibes. We know you don’t want to be thinking about this right now but all good things come to an end at some point. So what to do then when heading home after you’ve had the best week ever in the snow? You’ve guessed it: even when it’s all done, you can still count on One World Radio as that’s where you’ll hear the best moments of Tomorrowland Winter once again! 15

What One World Radio (audio) + studio live streaming (video) Where: Tomorrowland app, Tomorrowland website, Tomorrowland YouTube, various DAB and FM frequencies. DAB+ in Belgium, The Netherlands and French speaking part of Switzerland. In Romania, tune in to 92.1 FM When: Live festival footage and interviews from the studio on Tuesday night and Wednesday to Friday 12h00 - 02h00 and non-stop music outside these hours.

We’ve all longed for this moment for so long; to unite as one and show the true spirit of the People of Tomorrow. The moment has come, so wave your flags! Not only does the Official TML by Tomorrowland flag connect the People of Tomorrow all around the world, but it also supports the Tomorrowland Foundation. So wave with pride and tag #TomorrowlandFlag to be featured online!

If you’ve seen them, you will want them; the official TML by Tomorrowland snowboard and skis. The snowboard is big, bright and beautiful. Featuring a rainbow of colours on the backside, the front leaves a pop of colour to enjoy without looking flashy. The ski set has a tremendously luxurious feel, as the deep black skis with Amare design come with a lush gold finishing. Both are the perfect marriage between sporty, sophisticated, and striking, making you feel comfortable in the snow while remaining unique in style.

Want to feel closer to your favourite artists than ever? This is your chance. The TML by Tomorrowland DJ Necklace is the necklace that all artists wear on stage this week; their keepsake to take home and your chance to go twinning! The necklace features an iciclelike token that seems to bottle up an aurora-coloured sky. The DJ Necklace will undoubtedly turn heads wherever in the world you wear it to.

TOMORROWLAND TODAY

TODAY'S NEWS MOUNTAIN MAGIC If this is your first time in the snowtopped mountains, you will immediately understand what frequent snowers have known all along: nothing beats mountain magic. To maintain the pristine Alpine ambience, Tetra Pak helps you to protect what’s good. We’re in this together, after all.

It comes as no surprise that Tomorrowland goes above and beyond to leave this winter home immaculate. Enjoying great heights comes with great responsibility, which is why Love Tomorrow

and Tetra Pak are ready to make maximal effort. WINTER WIN/WIN Your Tomorrowland Winter still water is served in Tetra Pak packages. After usage, recycle your packaging at the Tetra Pak stand. Every recycled item gives you the instant chance to win a TML by Tomorrowland voucher. Because recycling is always a win/win! Not ready to leave the slopes yet? Keep an eye out for mobile Tetra Pak recycling points; they will be walking, skiing and boarding around.

IT’S A KIND OF MAGIC

This isn’t just any chalet you just turned up at; it’s the Real Magic by Coca-Cola chalet! Where your drinks are shaken, not stirred and the memories are unforgettable. No, for real, you can capture them in the photo booth so you can keep them with you until eternity. You decide which way around; have a drink first and then head for the photo booth or the other way around. Either way, you can’t miss at the Real Magic chalet. Whether you’re after a cocktail or a mocktail, the Coca-Cola cocktail crew whip up the refreshing mix you didn’t know you needed. Get ready for a cherry coke 2.0!

LADY WINTER

Did you spot her impressive presence from afar? Did you sense her protectively watching over your shoulder as you made your first run down the piste? Did the sound of her call melt your troubles away, slowly drawing you nearer to her blinding garth? Follow your intuition until you stand eye-to-eye with the mysterious dame of Crystal Garden by Ellesse. She will show you the true spirit of winter. Every day from 12h00, she starts an avalanche of chords. Soon after, music fills the valleys, and it is no longer the call of Lady Winter that will draw you in; artists like Dubvision, Armin van Buuren, Kungs, Offenbach, Netsky and many more will join her in the Crystal Garden by Ellesse. Though her crystalline presence might appear frosty at first sight, you will instantaneously warm up to this blizzard of bliss. Bring your friends and make new ones, as she introduces you to each and all her comrades of melodies.

MAGIC MEMORIES Once you go Winter, you’ll never want to go back. Even here, the white vistas will return to green pastures in a few months, but your memories will be crystallised right here. Scan the QR code and do your magic smize to bring home a keepsake for life.

A POSITIVE CHANGE “We are the People of Tomorrow. We live today, love tomorrow and unite forever”

Children and youngsters are the future: they shape the world of tomorrow. Being able to express themselves creatively is important for the individual development of children and youngsters. The Tomorrowland Foundation is Tomorrowland’s inspiration and tool to make this happen, targeting children and youngsters all over the world. Let’s cherish them and help them to develop themselves as much as possible. The Tomorrowland Foundation helps to achieve this dream by supporting CUNINA and MOBILE SCHOOL. Both are independent, non-profit organisations focused on working with vulnerable children all over the world, helping them to discover and unlock their talents and regain a positive self-image. This year will be an important year for Tomorrowland’s collaboration with both organisations, as they are going to build a second Tomorrowland Foundation Music & Arts School in Uganda in collaboration with Cunina, and Mobile School will start five new Mobile School projects in 2022. If you’re looking to make a positive change, look no further. With so many of you gathering here at Winter, our impact can be big and beautiful. Bring home, or order online, the Official “Tomorrowland – Live Today, Love Tomorrow, Unite Forever” tote bag, for instance. All proceeds go directly to our Tomorrowland Foundation projects. Read more and discover how to contribute on foundation.tomorrowland.com. 22

RUSTY PRACTICE

While you’re enjoying fresh powder in the mountains, spring is slowly peaking around the corner in Belgium. The Holy Grounds have not been the same without your presence, so slowly but surely, she is warming up to your return. With three weekends of absolute bliss on the horizon, summer can’t come soon enough –post this winter break, that is. And after such a long, imposed hiatus, the grand reunion will be bigger and better than ever. It is true: good things come to those who wait! How to prepare for three times the fun? Surf to tomorrowland.com to practice those rusty, dusty dance moves.

LIGHT IT UP

Combine your go-to energiser on an active week in the mountains with the age-old trick of letting your friends know where to find you, –and you get Red Bull’s LED cups! These fascinating cups don’t just look like they’re from a sorcerer's kitchen, their working is equally bewitching. Pour your potion of choice and your cup will light up instantly. How is that for a cheers to fellows? The Red Bull LED cups are available at all bars throughout Tomorrowland Winter. For 1 extra pearl, you can sip your Red Bull drink from this lighted cup. Of course, that means you can take them home with you; a great souvenir or keepsake at home. You’ll be reminiscing your Alpine adventures every time you take out your LED cup from your cupboard, so make sure your time here is as unforgettable as can be.

A GIFT THAT KEEPS ON GIVING

REQUEST THE QUEST

You made it all the way up to Alpe d’Huez, which means you are the adventurous type, someone that’s eager to explore new places and immerse yourself into the unknown. Luckily for you, FTX is here to quench your need for excitement! Get ready to explore the slopes and maybe you will be one of the lucky few to win access to a secret concert in the most unique venue you’ve ever set foot in. MISSION NFT Get ready to go on an epic quest in the mountains; and be sure to scan the endless white vistas for unusual sightings. It’s no yeti you’re trying to find though; you’re looking for five bookshaped totems. The five totems are hidden in plain sight, right there on the slopes. Found one? Scan your Bracelet at the totem for a hint and, if you manage to scan all five points, you will receive an NFT that includes all the info about this surprise of a lifetime. It will definitely be a celebratory moment! The Quest by FTX runs until Thursday, March 24th. Every day, the first lucky few to scan all five totems will be invited to an exclusive performance in an extraordinary venue. Don’t miss out! 23

Who doesn’t love a fun surprise? If you found a stamp card and are unsure what to do with it, keep reading. It’s the starting point of the gift that keeps on giving! Get your digital Tomorrowland Winter map out and make your way to all four Riffx by Crédit Mutuel points; Signal 2108, Bar Bichettete (Auris & Oisans), L’Aventure (Piste de Poutran) and L'Alpette - Chez Passoud. Fill up your belly, hit the dancefloor and collect a stamp at each stop. Full stamp card? That means you get a surprise gadget. Take your full card to the Friends of Tomorrow Cabin by Riffx & Crédit Mutuel between Saturday - Friday. Crédit Mutuel will draw the winners of the insane TML by Tomorrowland snow gear from all the cards handed in, so keep your fingers crossed as you hopefully snow down the slope in your current gear for one last time.

ALPE D'HUEZ 2022

TOMORROWLAND TODAY

ALL YOU

NEED IS

PEARLS You ski, you dance, you drink, you eat at Tomorrowland Winter and you want no hassle. And you won’t have any as there is absolutely no need to carry a wallet at the festival grounds in Alpe d’Huez; the entire event is completely cashless. Want to make your time at Tomorrowland as easy as possible? Create a Tomorrowland Account real quick. Not only do you as an account holder receive useful updates about the festival, it is also where you top up your balance more swiftly than anywhere else. How does this all work? You’ll read about it on this page. A magical currency Tomorrowland has left coins and tokens behind ages ago in favour of something much more magical: Pearls. Every fourteen Pearls are worth €30. The Tomorrowland Pearls aren’t physical Pearls as these would end up all over your winter jacket just like old fashioned coins; they’re virtual Pearls and they live inside your Bracelet. On the festival grounds, you can literally get everything by means of your Pearls. In fact, no other currencies, not even Pounds, Euros or Dollars, are able to score you food, drinks or exclusive TML by Tomorrowland items. Your Bracelet holds more than your Pearls alone by the way; it grants you access to the various mountain stages and even your Lift & Ski Pass is integrated in your Bracelet. How to top up Adding Pearls to your Bracelet can be done in two different ways. The easiest option is to go to your Tomorrowland Account and choose My Bracelet.

Anyone who’s added their Pearls this way will automatically receive a refund should there be any Pearls left on their account by the end of the festival. Your second option is to make use of the cashless top-up booths at the festival site where you can use your debit card or credit card to top up. This method does not come with an automatic refund. Refunds You don’t need to do anything if you’ve topped up your Bracelet online. All the Pearls left on your bracelet, will be automatically returned to you. In case you’ve topped up at one of the top-up booths on site, you will need to fill out a manual refund form which will be available at Tomorrowland Winter. Make sure to enter the correct details and to complete the manual request by 15 April 2022 the latest. Better yet: top up online and all you need to do once Tomorrowland Winter has come to an end is pack your bags and go! 25

How to wear your Bracelet Make sure your Bracelet is on your left-hand wrist with the Tomorrowland logo facing you and that the Bracelet isn’t upside down. This way, queues will be shorter and everyone will be able to quickly reach the top of the mountain. When getting drinks or food, just show the icon on your wristband for scanning and you're ready to go.

TOMORROWLAND TODAY

FOCUS ON

THE MUSIC

Never before have we waited this long for magic to happen and now that the moment is here, it feels like the frosty white mountains of Alpe d’Huez all have smiles on their faces. They seem to know all about the music that’s waiting for you. Read the following pages to find out all you need to know about the artists performing at Tomorrowland Winter. With lots of biographies, interviews plus information about the Daybreak Sessions and other mysterious sonic experiences, you’ll still have some questions unanswered. But that’s for the better: Tomorrowland is one big adventure and adventures come with pleasant surprises.

THE STAGES Most of Tomorrowland Winter’s stages are scattered across some of France’s most mythical ski slopes including the 16km long Sarenne while others can be found in the village. First-time skiers will also be able to reach the stages higher up by using easier routes or ski-lifts. The world’s biggest Alpine music festival may be a little overwhelming at first but worry not, reading the descriptions of these stages will help you understand the area better. You may also get a feel for what exactly it is that you’re looking forward to, although words can’t really describe what you’ll see once you enter this world of magic.

MAINSTAGE

MOOSEBAR

CRYSTAL GARDEN

The tallest palace of Alpe d’Huez town, Tomorrowland Winter’s Mainstage, is 50 metres wide and no less than 15 metres high. Shielded from the snow by a roof, this is where the stars and planets come out to play. Looking up at them will give you the energy you need to dance the night away after a day of skiing. DJs here include Lost Frequencies, Steve Aoki and Paul Kalkbrenner. The Mainstage is also home to a spacious VIP area.

The Moosebar, one of the biggest success stories of Tomorrowland Winter’s first edition, is back. Fans of the world’s biggest après-ski bar will be left in awe: it has been rebuilt into an even bigger hall, several times the size of the original barn. The Moosebar is the perfect place to jump around, go crazy and enjoy a proper pint of beer. DJs include Bonzai Allstars and Jelle DK among many others.

The largest stage up in the mountains at Alpe d’Huez, Crystal Garden by Ellesse will be home to 4000 ravers and is quintessentially Tomorrowland Winter: this is where you’ll dance for hours on end in the sun as you enjoy the unforgettable views of dreamlike mountains and valleys. World class DJs including Ofenbach, Martin Solveig and Netsky spin their beats while you take a break from skiing or snowboarding. This is also where the Daybreak sessions start at midday.

CAGE

CORE

Do you like to speed things up and your BPM higher than most? Cage is your place to be on Wednesday! Do you have a soft spot for dark techno clubs spiced up with just a little bit of light in the darkness here and there? Look no further: Cage turns into the best underground techno club in the French Alps on Thursday and Friday. You can go Berlin-style all black or wear a full ski outfit; we leave it up to you. Skillful selectors at Cage include Enrico Sangiuliano, Coone, Mano Le Tough and Mark with a K.

Open from the early afternoon, keen daytime clubbers will find their way to Tomorrowland’s world famous CORE stage which returns to the Alps for a celebration of all that’s good about dance music. DJs including Brina Knauss, Patrice Bäumel, Kölsch, Joris Voorn and Purple Disco Machine will play the best techno, house and other four to the floor beats, both classic and new while you either fist pump, jump or do some pre-ski warm up stretches.

• Saturday, Sunday, Monday: 19h00 – 00h00 • Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 20h00 – 02h00

FRIENDS OF TOMORROWLAND

TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN

The most mysterious of all stages, Signal 2108, Bar Bichettete, L’Aventure and L’Alpette are mountain huts turned into clubs that each fit 400 ravers. This is the deal: visit all of the four cabins and collect a stamp every time before you leave. Once your stamp card is full, make sure to drop it off at the Friends of Tomorrow Cabin by Riffx & Crédit Mutuel anytime between Saturday and Friday. Lucky winners will receive exclusive TML by Tomorrowland snow gear!

The only way to reach the Top of the Mountain at a staggering 3330 meters is by taking a massive cabin lift. There’s nothing like the world’s highest stage; it’s a spectacular and romantic place where a wonderful Spanish couple decided to get married back in 2019. This balcony of the Alpe D’Huez region is where you’ll dance to tunes by the likes of Cellini, Sem Thomasson and Adam K, starting from 11 in the morning.

TOMORROWLAND TODAY

WARMING UP FOR THE

GATHERING PREPARE YOURSELF

THE GATHERING

A Surprise line-up awaits you!

The Gathering is that one special start to every edition of Tomorrowland, but this time it will be particularly marvellous. After a long period of darkness, The Gathering will be the beginning of a three day long experience full of breathtaking surprises. It's the first page in a metaphorical book full of memories that are yet to be created. The People of Tomorrow will finally reunite in the French Alps which will be turned into a winter wonderland beyond your wildest dreams. This time you can dream with your eyes wide open and finally do what you love the most. The Gathering is where we start a new chapter in which we meet new friends from other countries, ages, and origins. The Gathering will also give us a glimpse of what is yet to come. It’s now time for us to celebrate being in such a wonderful place, to let love rule and to enjoy the gift of music. During your stay at Tomorrowland you’ll come across breathtaking surprises and hidden gems. Take the line-up at The Gathering, it’s a secret. Which artist from the line-up will also play The Gathering? There is only one way to find out: put on your warm dancing shoes and get partying! 29

Well begun is half done, so the pre-party starts during the day! Get in the mood with your favourite tunes on One World Radio and then connect with the other People of Tomorrow. You never know who will be dancing right next to you by the time night falls.

GIVE YOURSELF SOME SPACE

We've all become accustomed to being 1,5 metres apart from each other so dancing close to your new best friends can be something that won’t feel super natural right away. Give it some time and don't push yourself. Before you know it you'll be hugging Bigfoot.

DRESS WARM

Make sure you are dressed in an outfit that you feel comfortable in and dress warm! The weather can change any moment in the mountains. You can always take your winter jacket off. Please stay warm and keep an eye on each other.

TOMORROWLAND TODAY

WEDNESDAY 23/03

It’s time to really get going today and that is what you truly came for. Today is the day we’ve all dreamed about, the one we’ve marked in our calendars. The beat will go on and on today! On this first festival day you will party all night long with your friends. Mark With a K will play the closing set at Cage and noone less than Charlotte de Witte will play the final tunes at the Mainstage until 2am. Lots of other DJs including Joris Voorn, Mike Williams, Dino Lenny will ignite the spark in your hearts during the daytime.

ANFISA LETYAGO

CORE | 15H30 - 17H00 At a young age, Siberia born Anfisa moved from Russia to Italy to live with her mother. She fell in love with her new home by the sea and with Italy’s history and its culture. In 2016, she released her debut single “Stop Talking” together with Leroy Styles. Collaborations with big names such as Martin Garrix, Don Diablo and David Guetta soon followed. From 2018, Anfisa started to focus more on her love for techno and house music. Anfisa’s sounds have recently received support from some of the scene’s biggest names including Carl Cox who has regularly played her music in his sets.

REINIER ZONNEVELD

Mainstage | 22H00 - 23H00 Dutch techno don Reinier Zonneveld hardly needs an introduction but here you go. As one of the few in the scene, Reinier always plays his techno live and with such a large and excellent catalogue to choose from, his sets are always different from one another. Reinier is quite passionate about a particular type of electronic music: hard hitting acid. He often utters the phrase “karren maar”, which translates into something like: “let’s go!”. If you’ve got some energy to spare you might as well head to the Mainstage tonight as Reinier’s live sets really are something else.

COONE

CAGE | 00H00 - 01H00 This DJ wrote history back in 2018 as the very first hardstyle DJ to ever play the big and glorious Mainstage of Tomorrowland Belgium. It was obviously a huge milestone for Coone who has been one of the leading acts in the hardstyle scene for years now. The first time he appeared in the DJ Mag top 100 was already back in 2011. Besides being a producer, Coone is also head honcho at his very own Dirty Workz label. Get ready for some action and join Coone for some proper hardstyle madness at Tomorrowland Winter’s darkest club: Cage.

TOMORROWLAND TODAY

CHARLOTTE DE WITTE Charlotte de Witte is a member of the Tomorrowland elite you could say, she never misses it and you’ll need to dig deep into the festival’s history to find an edition where she wasn’t prominently featured on the line-up. Now that her unchosen sabbatical is over, it is time for even bigger and bolder career moves. Hot on the heels of a show in Stockholm combined with a relaxing break in frosty Lapland, she is happy to speak about what’s new with her label KNTXT as well as her plans for her show this Wednesday on the Mainstage. How’s life, having your freedom back? It feels pretty good that life is restarting. I’ve only done a few shows so far, but from March onward the calendar is really taking off again. Which hopefully means that the pandemic is finally transitioning to its final stages. Everyone, including myself, seems very excited to have their lives back, to enjoy music and dance again.

What can we expect from your Mainstage set? Are you planning to play lots of your own productions and tracks from KNTXT? I will play a one hour set with some familiar music that I know people are looking forward to and also some unreleased stuff. I’m going to show people how much I love techno but I’ll be translating it to Mainstage language so to say, for everyone to enjoy.

Speaking about life, your Instagram bio includes a quote saying “La Vida es una Charlotada”. What does it mean to you? Apparently it means something like life is a joke, don't take it too seriously, go with the flow, enjoy it, embrace your inner cheerful self. Who could disagree with that?

Tell us something about how you run KNTXT. What type of artists are you looking for and how do you select the music? I’m very selective with what I release as I want everything to also come out on vinyl. But when the music is good, it’s good. I try to keep an open mind to things. Indira Paganotto approaches music from a psytrance angle where Amazingblaze is very different, he has a eurotrance, ravey feel to his music. With KNTXT, I want to offer artists a platform where they can present their music the way they want to; they’re completely free to do whatever they want.

You’ve just come back from Lapland, how was that? It was very cold but also sunny and amazing. Me and my boyfriend both had a gig in Stockholm and the unique thing about this period is that it’s getting busier but our schedules are still not full so that allows you to take some time off. It’s great not having to rush all the time. It’s an experience that we’ll try to learn from, we want to retain some of this vibe in the future.

"My dad is a ski instructor and the plan is for him to That sounds amazing! What’s up next for the label? teach my boyfriend The next release will be one by myself and then we’ll see the return of a familiar face from the KNTXT family. I can’t tell you how to ski!" who it is but maybe people can guess!

So did you do some skiing up north to train for Tomorrowland Winter? Yes we did actually. I’ve done it regularly as a child but it was the first time for my boyfriend. I’m looking forward to having lots more fun in the snow in Alpe d’Huez. My dad will be joining us and he’s a ski instructor so the plan is that he’ll teach my boyfriend how to ski properly!

We’ve only just started here in Alpe d’Huez, but even after we’ve danced to the last tune here, your fans have something to look forward to right? Yes! On April 16th I’ll be playing a 10 hour long set at Flanders Expo in my hometown Ghent. It will be a real journey through electronic music. Starting with ambient, I will slowly move to various styles of techno and I will end with something crazy. You’ll probably hear some psytrance and even some hardCORE. We’ve sold out the first 15000 tickets but we’ve now decided to add another 5000 so it’s not too late to get your ticket to the ultimate Tomorrowland Winter afterparty.

So thankfully Tomorrowland is finally back. Can you tell us something about your connection with the festival? Definitely. We go way back, saw each other grow and we have always stayed in touch. Now that Tomorrowland is back, the energy will be insane, it’s going to be so much fun. I can’t wait to play and I also love the fact that I’m going to be with a group of people that are close to me. 31

TOMORROWLAND TODAY

THURSDAY 24/03

Thursday's schedule is nothing short of smashing. So get ready to get up and dance People of Tomorrow! The second festival day is waiting for you and it's going to be full of epic moments and brilliant music. Let us shed some light on some of the artists on today’s line-up; it should help you with planning your day in the snow. You may not be able to catch them all, but you can certainly try! By today you will have a good understanding of the festival site as well as the slopes and you may as well do as much dancing as you can physically handle.

TOM & COLLINS

Crystal Garden | 14H00 - 15H00 The new generation of DJs and producers coming out of Mexico's vibrant music scene is here. Meet the uncrowned leaders of this generation: Tom & Collins, longtime friends and producers known as Juan Pablo Escudero and Jorge Corral in their daily lives. The team kicked off their career by humbly spinning tunes at friends’ parties. Sure enough, they quickly moved up the nightlife ladder, rapidly progressing to local events and eventually some of the most exclusive clubs in Latin America. Nowadays you'll see Tom & Collins shine on the line-ups of some of the largest festivals across the globe including of course Tomorrowland Winter.

KÖLSCH

CORE |17H00 - 18H00 Rune Reille Kölsch may sound like he’s from the German city of Cologne, but one of the most admired DJs in the world of soulful techno is definitely Danish. This master is literally able to bring his audience to tears of joy with his deep melodies. Soundwise, Kölsch can go many directions, whether that’s house or techno, underground or more mainstream. He’s played Tomorrowland’s Mainstage in Belgium before and now that he’s playing the darkest club in Alpe d’Huez we’re guessing he’ll verge a little more towards the underground side of things. A set to look forward to, that’s for sure!

PAUL KALKBRENNER

Mainstage | 23H00 - 00H00 Berlin’s Paul Kalkbrenner can do just about anything so it seems. The techno talent emerged from the underground, to then top the charts, act in a movie, headline festivals and amass millions of fans, all the while refusing to compromise his grand techno sound. He grew up during techno’s golden age; he turned twelve when the Berlin Wall fell, and then spent his teenage years raving, after which he started to DJ and produce himself. Many of his tracks have become classics in the dance scene. Considering the circumstances we might be singing “Sky & Snow” instead of “Sky & Sand” should he play his hit tonight!

TOMORROWLAND TODAY

CELLINI

Gianmarco Cellini, better known as Cellini, is a proud Italo-Belgian but not in a patriotic way. His granddad came from Italy to work in the Belgian mines and as the Italian legacy is slowly disappearing, Cellini takes pride in adding subtle Italian elements to his music that aren’t normally associated with techno. Ahead of this wonderful week of magic in the snow, Cellini opens up about Italian folk music and food, his first encounter with techno as a teenager and about hoping that someone will finally teach him how to properly hit the slopes on a snowboard. You grew up in Belgium, a country with a huge legacy when it comes to techno. Was your own musical taste influenced by growing up there? For sure. My older sister took me to a techno party in the basement of a church in Genk when I was fourteen. At the rave, I heard incredible music I had never heard before. Nowadays, when I’m booked to play a peak time set I often still play a track that I discovered that night in the church: “I See Squares” by Far Out Radio Systems, an amazing jam with a simple kick drum, some claps and one synth. Did visiting that rave kickstart your DJing career? Kind of. I had already been listening to drum & bass for a while then but now my sister started feeding me lots of new stuff. I started DJing in my room, literally mixing up all kinds of music.

You have hardly been able to tour for two years. Did that come with any positive side effects for you? Definitely. Up until two years ago I produced tracks whenever I could in between doing tours. I never really had the time to think about which direction to take or to tell a story with my work. The break gave me the chance to work on an album which will be out later this year. It has dance floor tracks on it but also tracks that are just made for listening. I also had the time to work with some vocalists and there will be some features on the album as well. This will be your first Tomorrowland Winter, right? What are you looking forward to the most? Some of my friends went in 2019 and they told me that there is plenty of time to party but also that there is no need to rush from one thing to another. You’ve got a whole week. I’m looking forward to chill with my friends and other artists. Also, I’m hoping that someone might teach me how to snowboard properly.

"Small errors add funk to music, it becomes more danceable."

Ok, and how about producing music? That also took off at that point. I already had a drumkit and had used drum computers in a conventional way before but now I started using the same gear to make techno. I’ve always kept a live feel to my music though; small errors add funk to a track, it becomes more danceable.

The parties stopped for two years, yet lots of music was released week after week. Can you name one track you really want to test at Tomorrowland Winter? The first one that comes to mind is a track called “Come Together” by Henrik Schwarz. It came out just before the lockdown and I bought it with the idea to play it but I didn’t get the chance. I can’t wait to play it on the slopes of Alpe d’Huez, it’s a track with a real unity kind of feel to it.

How would you describe the Cellini sound? I’m influenced by elements that aren’t normally associated with techno such as folk music, acoustic instruments and chants. Many of these sounds have to do with my Italian background. My granddad migrated to Belgium to work in the mines and has always been part of a strong knit community of Italians. The Italian influence is slowly disappearing in Belgium, but I take pride in keeping a conversation about culture going, even if in an abstract way for example by sampling people talking in Italian and a Sicilian instrument called tamburello. Listen carefully when you hear me play at Tomorrowland Winter and you may recognise it.

Last question. Being an Italo-Belgian, do you have any pasta cooking tips for people renting an apartment this week? Oh man, so many. But I prefer to give away some don’ts: you don’t need to put olive oil in your cooking water or put the pasta in the water when it’s still cold and I’ve saved the most important bit of advice for the end: please do not cut your spaghetti! 33

ALPE D'HUEZ 2022

TOMORROWLAND TODAY

FRIDAY 25/03

Friday is your last chance to bask in the beauty of Tomorrowland Winter. There are still lots of treasures to uncover but time is running out. See and hear all that you can, but remember to spread the love wherever you go on your final day here in the gorgeous and pristine French Alps. You’ll want to be able to show everyone back home that you’ve visited the most epic stages here at Tomorrowland Winter so don't forget to take pictures at the amazing Chrystal Garden by Ellesse, where MATTN, Curbi and Netsky are set to rock the party today.

NETSKY

Crystal Garden | 17H00 - 18H00 A producer who sits within the premier league of the liquid drum & bass genre, Netsky is one of the few DJs at Tomorrowland Winter playing breaks. It comes as no surprise that he’s on the line-up once again though as this man is one of the more versatile producers on the scene reaching a broad audience with his catchy beats, vocals and melodies. His career started back in 2009 with a release on the legendary Hospital drum & bass label, which is where he still puts out music to this day. Do yourself a favour and go watch Netsky blast his addictive melodies and beats into the sky at Tomorrowland Winter this afternoon.

QUINTINO

Mainstage | 21H00 - 22H00 When it comes down to bringing big room music to the Mainstage, Quintino is your man. He’s played all sorts of stages over the course of his long career and he always brings the same positive energy no matter where he goes. Quintino has been listed in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list since 2014, partly off the back of tracks like his remix of Cidinho & Doca’s “Rap das Armas” and “Selecta”, a track he did with Afrojack. Over the years, he has slowly but surely become a powerful force to be reckoned with.

ENRICO SANGIULIANO

Cage | 00H30 - 02H00 Cassette decks and drum machines as a start? Not for the young Enrico, who started out playing on pots and pans, school benches, traffic signs and a drum kit. He soon realised that with computers he could create more abstract sounds and he went on to continue making music digitally. It wasn’t long before Enrico started DJing, initially mostly at illegal rave parties. In recent years, Enrico released his tracks on some of the world’s leading labels like Drumcode and Truesoul, gaining support from top notch artists: Sven Väth, Adam Beyer, Joseph Capriati and many more. Do you want to know who Enrico’s fiancee is? There is an interview with her on page 31!

ALPE D'HUEZ 2022

TOMORROWLAND TODAY

LOST FREQUENCIES With two Lost Frequencies DJ sets scheduled in Alpe D’Huez, there’s a lot to look forward to for his fans at Tomorrowland Winter 2022. During the quiet few years that are now finally behind us, Felix De Laet made a ton of new music so he’s got plenty of previously unplayed stuff to choose from. All of it has that melodic trademark Lost Frequencies vibe to it, but on top of the four to floor stuff we’ve come to know him for he’s also got some exciting new work with light trap and drum & bass rhythms. So what’s this Belgian wonderchild looking forward to this week? So Tomorrowland Winter is finally happening again. How do you feel about it? It's crazy because they only did one edition three years ago and then the pandemic happened. I’m going with friends and family this year and I’m incredibly excited about it.

fun in the snow. Playing live stresses me out way more than DJing and it requires much more preparation. So I’m quite happy to be DJing this time! But silently I’m really looking forward to the LIVE Shows. I’ve just announced my new Live tour in the USA & Europe. I’ll be doing 23 dates in all key cities from New York to Paris and back to Brussels.

You’ve played Tomorrowland Winter back in 2019. Can you tell us something about that experience? Well you’ve got ski stations but nothing is normal. Everywhere you look, there are Tomorrowland people. Everyone is in a good mood, so you’re just chatting to others in the ski lifts and you share the festival vibes, it’s really cool. You’ll be playing the Mainstage as well as the smaller Chantebise stage. Do you have different plans for both sets? My first set on the smaller stage will definitely be different from the one on the Mainstage. I’m not sure how yet, I haven’t totally thought that through yet but I’ve got so much new material to play around with that people can be sure to see two very different sets.

You've slowly but surely become one of the world’s biggest producers on the crossroads of electronic music and pop music. Did you have aspirations to reach this level of professionality when you were younger? It never crossed my mind. I didn’t expect this to happen at all. I have always just been making the music I love and people just happened to like it. So far, my fan base just keeps growing and growing. But I really need to stay calm and do my thinking and talk to the people close to me, so I don’t get lost in this world. It is important to keep doing different stuff from what everybody else is doing.

"Definitely check out every little stage, because Tomorrowland always comes up with crazy stuff."

Does your growing status as an artist have an influence on the way you make music? Yes and in a good way. In the past I would often get sent music by collaborators. Semi finished stuff. It’s like when you remix something. Parts of the music are already there. Now the general process has changed to my favour: I work with artists in the studio and we start from scratch. I can ask someone to play a part this or that way. It means I have much more influence on the creative process which is really fun!

Do you think a lot about the balance between quieter melodic moments and super energetic moments in your sets? Yes I do. I always try to play as much of my own music as possible. Not only during my live sets but also as a DJ. That’s how I try to make my sets stand out. I also have different versions of my own tracks. I might sometimes play the quieter original versions and then play a much more energetic version of the track later when I feel the crowd is ready for it.

Do you have any tips for people who are here for the first time? You can do three things. You can go for nothing but the music, you can ski or snowboard non-stop or you can mix both things up. The mix has my preference. When I’m DJing, I’ll be in bed late of course but when I’m not I’ll try to get some sleep so I can do some skiing in the morning. What you definitely must do is check out every little stage, because Tomorrowland always comes up with crazy stuff. Don’t settle for your favourite stage before you’ve checked out all of

You’ll be DJing at Tomorrowland Winter but you often perform live as well. Have you found the right balance between the two formats? I like doing both. When I’ve DJ’d a lot during a certain period, I’m usually looking forward to performing live again and vice versa. Tomorrowland Winter is perfect for DJing as it is easier to combine with leisure activities such as having 35
