Hello and welcome to the month of November. This is a great time of the year with multiple events happening every weekend! You will want to check out our Cruisin’ Calendar and start circling dates because we have something going on everywhere you look! I am super excited about the Tuck-A-Buck Poker Run that will take place in Upper Pinellas / Pasco Counties on Saturday November 27. While the run is not for everybody .... it will be an exciting time for those that decide to take part! The Tuck-A-Buck will visit five adult dance clubs and happen in the evening hours. The fun will start at Silks, 37100 US Highway 19 in Palm Harbor with registration from 4pm till 7pm. See you then! November is also the month that we celebrate Full Throttle’s birthday! This will be our 14th Anniversary and we can’t wait to spend the afternoon at Grass Flats in Clearwater. The date will be Sunday November 21st and we will have plenty of giveaways, a wet t-shirt contest, our annual slow bike race, vendors, live music and the “Wheel of Prizes”. We will randomly pick three people out of the crowd and they will have a chance to spin the wheel for cash prizes! You know we always throw on hell of a party for our anniversary so make plans to join us at Grass Flats on 11/21/10. I want to say how happy I am that Phil Sereltic went to his doctor a few weeks ago and they told him he was cancer free! If anybody was going to beat that damn disease, it was Phil ... we love ya buddy! I also want to send birthday wishes to Lexi Swetay (11/4), my beautiful granddaughter Izzy (11/21) and my fantastic grandson Paul Jacob (11/23). I also want momma to know we love her and think of her everyday! Have a great month and don’t eat too much turkey!

Have you seen the amount of events that are coming up in the next few months? I think there are 2 or 3 events every Saturday and Sunday until February 2011. As for our calendar in the month of November you can find us at the FIRST toy run of the year on November 7th “Cops and Kids” in Tarpon Springs. Then we will be at, St. Pete Powersports for their Triumph Demo Days, Jim’s Harley Bike Night, The Ribfest Bike Show, The Full Throttle Anniversary Party and the Tuck-A-Buck Poker Run….whew… and that’s just November!! I do love this time of the season though. The weather is beautiful for riding, 80’s during the day and 60’s and 70’s at night. We had a great time in Daytona for Biketoberfest. The truck was actually set up at The Iron Gate and not at the Doghouse because there was more space available for us there and it turned out to be a better location. The Boardwalk Show was amazing with over 100 bikes. There was a beautiful view all day of the beach, bikini’s and motorcycles, life doesn’t get much better than that! Ironhorse Saloon and JP Cycles were fun and crazy like always! Special thanks to all of our sponsors who helped us do everything we were able to do in Daytona, you guys are the best! The Full Throttle Anniversary Party has moved locations from where we first announced last month. The Party will now be held at GRASS FLATS on 49th Street. We always have a great time with awesome raffle prizes, the slow race, a wet T-shirt contest and much more. We would like to thank Kurt and GRASS FLATS for stepping up to the plate when we were in need. So remember, the location has changed for the Full Throttle 14th Anniversary Party to GRASS FLATS on November 21st! Vendors be sure to call us early as there are only so many spots available. Last month Revrend Jim and I went to the LAMA 2nd Anniversary Party at Brandon Harley-Davidson. If you have never been to a LAMA event you are really missing out! They had members from all over the state of Florida; they were teaching how to salsa dance, they had great food, cold drinks and just an all around good time! LAMA is a great association who believes in family first and everyone is always welcome. Thanks to Jose and the LAMA Brandon Chapter for inviting us out to celebrate their Anniversary. We would like to extend the invitation back for our 14th on November 21st! Please be safe on the road, go get your bike checked out and make sure it is in perfect running condition. Also be sure to check your tires and get them replaced if they look bad. I have heard too many accidents due to lack of maintenance on bikes. If you need a good place, ask us at any event you see us at and we will give you a great place to go. Don’t drink and ride and I’ll see you soon.

Special People.........The RED BARON and The Third Wheel

A lot of people tell me I have a widely varied taste in music (and motorcycles) and music is a huge part of my life. I follow it and use it while I clean and rehabilitate all my old bikes. Wish I could play it and I really wish I could sing it ... but it seems my brother Dan got the gift as he plays every instrument under the sun. He sings, writes and plays banjos, mandolins and 6 and 12 string guitars (I know the piano and horns are hidden somewhere). His musical abilities seem to let him play anything or I should say his mind set does. I once asked him what his favorite instrument was (which with his diverse interest and abilities in instruments it would seem hard to pin down on the spot) but within seconds he said his six string acoustic guitar. I didn't ask why, I didn't need to know only he did. I think musicians, pilots, sailors, race car drivers and motorcyclists that can play anything, fly anything, ride, race or sail anything ... these are the true masters of their domain. The special ones of their respective passions. I got myself into a very similar situation a few weeks ago at one of my favorite bike nights (Biff Burgers). It was a beautiful Wed. night for a bike ride and I had been through almost the entire rotation of my current "in service" bikes usually about 20 at any given time . I try and get out at least two rides a month on the old girls, keep the gas fresh, batteries up and to remember their varied shift and braking patterns and wide ranging idiosyncrasies. As I pulled into Biff Burgers a friend of mine, Henry came over and said to me " You had this bike out last night, you're never on the same one two nights in a row!" My reply took him (and maybe me) by surprise as I said " It's my favorite bike, the one I will never get rid of". He seemed taken aback by that statement after seeing me on my many Moto Guzzis, Warbikes, Triumphs and assorted Japanese and European mar-

quees. The fact that I would say this 3 wheeled "tricycle" would be numero uno,my number one pick of the litter so quickly really wasn't a suprise at all. It is in fact the only bike in my collection that has a truly personal Mr. 486 connection, having seen my brother Terry (who has passed) and his best friend who owned it, pull into my driveway when I was 13 years old. A side car bike is a motorcycle unlike anything, you don't ride it! No my 98 loyal readers, you drive it and on many occasions it drives you! This machine has none of the traits of a two-wheeled bike and also none of the traits of a fourwheeled cage. It's often said "It's like driving a car". Well, it is not my friends ... it has no similarities with a true trike, for you see this is "motorcycle possessed" kind of stuck in motorcycle purgatory. It's good and evil wrapped up in one package and my two wheeled pals you either "dig it" or "ya don't"! I know a vocalist (a very cute vocalist with great toes ...hey we all have our fetishes eh?), let's call her CherieOkie and yes she has a karaoke business and is in a couple bands, who are also amazingly good at an immense array of music. I always throw a tip her way as well as an "out on the edge odd request" to her that she never backs down from. Is she special ... yes! It's another case of mastering your choosen passion across all ranges and pulling it off on a high level. I recently asked her of all her wide ranging styles from gospel to hard rock to country what's your favorite? She said rather quickly "The bluesy stuff". She knew why and that makes her special as has the talent to sing any song very well and not be stuck in one specific sound. I had always wanted a side car bike. Not your retro "knock off" 27 hp. Ural or Chang Jiang no these simple problem wrought bikes are just an imitation of an old BMW design. Over weight and under powered they are great rigs to run through the woods, down the

beach or sit your 4 legged pals in. But with 50ish MPH tops, their speed on highways and acceleration is not awe inspiring. Royal Enfields and the other Europeans are mostly 350-650cc and not ideal platforms either. The Harleys and the big Jap bikes have more power but grow in weight and size with the cars becoming as big as the bike in sheer bulk ... heavy and tall but built for comfort. Nothing wrong with any of these, a side car choice is very personal and depends on your physical abilities, your location and what you want out of them. It being your only bike or a second bike plays a pivotal role in a choice. My choice was an antique high horsepower, low weight BMW. My particular bike was originally built to run mail between German military bases ... can you say autobahn? BMW and Moto Guzzi were one of the early builders after WW II that built bigger bikes with side car use thought of at the factory and BMW had won World Championships in side car racing from 1954 to 1967. So with my personal connection to "Dutch" (all my bikes are named) and its overall speed and street appeal it was a perfect fit for me. But it also has one other trait that endears the old bike to me ,I have termed it "The Red Baron" factor. You see sometimes the rythmic drone of that air cooled opposed twin engine takes you back to 1918. It's usually dark ,or foggy and rainy and you almost feel like the dreaded German fighter pilot, known as the "Ace of Aces". His Fokker DR1 triplane accounted for 20 of the 80 victories he was credited with and it was powered by a BMW airplane engine. In all Richthofen would fly 8 different types of planes and lead in the development and testing of the BMW powered Fokker DV II Biplane that would replace the red triplane he flew.It would be delivered to the "Flying Circus" 4 days after the Red Barons' death. The Baron was asked in early 1918 what his favorite plane was and he quickly replied the new DV II. I dont know why, only he did but his statement led to its production. The third wheel set up, the history and the nature of my side car seems to harken back to that time. The time of Baron Manfred Von

Richthofen(1892-1918) a German fighter pilot with the Imperial German Army Air Service during WW I. Richthofen would quickly distinguish himself and rise through the ranks. In 1917, he became the leader of "Jagdgeschwader" or as most famously known "The Flying Circus" and by 1918 he was a national hero. Manfred was a true Baron, a title of nobility as he was born to a Prussian aristocratic family. He excelled at hunting, riding horses and won numerous gymnastic awards on the parallel bars as a youth. When the war began he was a calvary reconnaissace officer but this soon became impossible due to machine guns and barbed wire covering all lands. He applied to and was accepted to the German Air Service in May of 1915. After his first confirmed victory he ordered a silver cup engraved with the date and type of the downed enemy machine from a jeweller in Berlin, he would get to 60 cups before the lack of silver left in blockcaded Germany would mean pewter or base metals would have to be used, rather than this happen the baron discontinued this practice. Yes he was a special fighter pilot. On November 23,1916 Richthofen downed his most famous adversary, British ace Major Lanoe Hawker. It would be after he almost lost this engagement and his life, that the Baron would help spearhead the design, building and testing of a new more agile and powerful aircraft and this would be the Fokker DR1 Triplane. With an empty weight of 895 lbs. a 9 cylinder rotary engine producing 110hp its top speed would be 115 mph with a range of 185 miles and a service ceiling of 20,000 feet. Its true break through would be its 45mph stall speed and amazing climb rate given its triple lifting wings. The DR1 saw wide spread use in the spring of 1918 and would be the aircraft in which Richthofen would get his last 20 victories. It would also be the plane he would be killed in on April 18, 1918. In January of 1917 after his 16th victory he was awarded the Pour le Merite "The Blue Max" (which is an amazing movie from 1971 by the way). When he became Squadron Commander he started painting his planes red. Later other members of his squadron took to painting their planes red to make their hero less conspicuous and keep him from being singled out in a dog fight. Together due to their brightly painted planes and mobility they would become "The Red Baron Flying Circus". It is interesting to note that while Richthofen was a calculated killer in the skies, he was quite special. While in a brutal dogfight with a British pilot, he saw that his oppenents guns had jammed. Rather than finishing the Brit off, he forced him to land in a field. After he got out of his red Fokker triplane he

went over and shook hands with him. On April 21, 1918 it would be ironic that a single bullet fired from the ground would pierce Von Richthofens heart and his red triplane crashed. British Forces recovered his body and he was buried with full military honors. He was 25 years old. A side car is not like any other vehicle. It's not halfway between a car and a bike, it's another entity unto itself. It lacks all the "get you out of trouble" saving graces of a car or a 2 wheeled motorcycle. The side car is an interesting animal to handle and driving one at speed, or to its limits can be both exhilarating and terrifying at the same time. Without getting into a physics and geometry lesson ... here are some simple facts. In right turns the centrifugal force makes the car want to lift or "fly" and flip over on you. In left turns ... well it doesn't want to turn left ... it would rather point straight ahead, but through manhandling and muscling the handlebars with force, you can overcome this trait. When cruising at speed wind and friction want to hold the rig back and you have to keep heavy pressure on the right bar to keep it tracking straight. In heavy braking you need to use a lot of rear brake (a 2 wheel no-no) as the car wants to circle the bike. It's a lot more work than riding a 2 wheeler but as you put the hours into its learning curve it becomes quite fun. But it's a special skill to jump between the two types, especially in one day! Speaking of jumping between types, let's talk about race car driver Tony Stewart ... he's another special person. He still races Go-Karts, Indy Cars, Sprints, Midgets(no not that kind) and NASCAR ... he even dabbles in drag racing! Dirt or asphalt ... oval or straight courses ... he doesn't care. If it's got four wheels he owns it and races it. He's been known to race two or three types of vehicles often hundreds of miles apart in one day. It's a very impressive ability to go between so many rides and win at at all of them. When asked what was his favorite car to race, he said in a flash "open wheel sprints in the dirt". Nope, he didn't say why and I don't need to know why, he knows and isn't afraid to say it.

So there you have it my classic friends all us special people, who have mastered a variety of "likekind" items we can all pin down our "favorite" very quickly even with so many options and choices given us, I wouldn't have thought it would be so easy. Please don't tell my 36 two wheeled friends that! For they are my favorites for many different rides and reasons. And don't tell them my favorite bike is a possessed tricycle built in Germany by relatives of a German Ace of WW I . "Dutch" is a bike that never lets me down and takes me to far away dogfights in a time long ago and many times I still see my brother sitting in that side car smiling ... I'm very lucky! Don't think I don't know it ... the ability to ride so many different bikes, many in the same day and the ability to shift between the two wheeled world and the nether world of the side car is amazing. But I think all of us that are varied and so all over the board so to speak within our chosen passion. Well I think it's important to be able to say that's my favorite. For without that benchmark we are just lost, and it doesn't reflect poorly on our runner-ups as the difference is sometimes so minute. But don't sit on the fence my confused friends and say" I don't know" when asked what your "favorite" anything is ... take a stand and decide. We all know what our favorite is, just too many don't have the passion or decision making process to state it out loud. Many of us are special and have amazing abilities and traits in us, but many times its focused on one type of item or brand, or on one instrument or one vocal style and I respect that central focus. But in my case be it boats and the water or motorcycles I like diversity and I want to master them all. From dirt bikes to trikes I ride anything, putt-puttin down the beach or course racing at Jennings, it's all good! Does that make me better than others, well no, but does it make me special, that's an easy yes, I'm so special I didn't just ride the short bus, I drove it. MR "Almost 500"

A Tribute To Hap Poneleit - From His Son Bob It's a great honor for me and for Full Throttle Magazine to print a passage that Bob Poneleit wrote with his father's memory in mind. Hap Poneleit was a motorcycling legend and soldier that we had right here in our own back yard and he will be missed by many. This needs no introduction, no extra words for its a beautiful heartfelt piece. Thank you Bob for sharing it with us .... MR 486.

I never gave it much thought about my last ride. Now that Dad has past it hit me. It could happen at anytime you don’t know. One of the things Dad said was it had been a long ride. I only hope the day will come that I can truly say it’s been a long ride. Dad rode with a lot of people in his life. He raced, he traveled, he rode to dealer meetings, and he rode to work. Whenever our Dad was riding he was always happy there is always something about the ride no matter what. It could be the smell of the early morning ride. The cool breeze that gives you that little chill. The thoughts that travel through your head as were riding alone. Our father knew the love of the freedom while riding his motorcycle. After Dad fought the 2nd world war and he got his freedom back when he stepped off the victory ship he bought a motorcycle and was riding home to Mom. That ride home had to be the best feeling on earth. Dad knew long before most of us were even born. That your motorcycle would be the therapy that would get you through life. Whenever you are feeling down or you might be depressed, just hop on your motorcycle and go for a ride. The other thing is that you really meet some nice people that ride and we can all share our Stories. One of the things that’s happing to me is that my Dad and I did not ride together much and I must say we would ride our motorcycles to a convention or a dealer meeting but it always be work related. Now I ride with the fantasy of Dad being with me. I can only hope that if your loved one rides is that you ride together. Valerie rides with me and the sky always seems bluer. Valerie has become my best ridding buddy and I love it. While we are in good health we will enjoy the ride. now that I know how much in love I am the rides just keep getting better. Every ride is my first ride I will never know when it will be my last ride I just hope I can say it’s been a long ride.

We are pushing towards the 30 year mark on Spooks and Scoots and we just finished the last event. We changed the dates from the previous years to the first of the month and the attendance wasn't as good as we expected but it was still great. More the people, more the fun but we had plenty of fun. It helps support ABATE which is a great organization that I am not a member of but I have always supported it. The reason I am not a member is that when I write articles people cannot say I am prejudice when writing an article. I have had problems of being accused of being a member and prejudiced which is not true. Now that I am getting old and not doing much anymore, maybe I will become a member. I did have one surprise at Spooks and Scoots this year. Someone gave me a magazine wrapped in cellophane called "Biker" a monthly publication put out by Easy Rider. Somebody came by and asked if I opened it up and saw my picture in it. I opened and I was really surprised, there I was! I think I owe that to Miserable George, Thanks George, I owe you one! I didn't know I was famous enough to be in that magazine.

Hillsborough County ABATE is responsible for Spooks and Scoots – Richard and James work really hard to make this a good event. I think the reason is that Patty stays on them day and night. Also, everyone else involved works hard and long hours to make this a great event – It is a real privilege to be there. If you miss it next year, shame on you. There was 3 major swap meets this Biketoberfest. The newest one being Palatka Florida. I went up there and the first vendor I walked up on said he sold $200 which was his first sale. He said he had money invested and still made money. If he had been in Daytona, he would have lost money because of all the fees that had to be paid. I wasn't there Sunday, but they said it was really busy. There are a lot of good things happening now thru March in the Biker community. I am going to attend as many as I can. My favorite one coming up is the Biker Build Off which will be held at the Quaker Steak & Lube's lot where we are going to put up 2 giant tents. I told Paul years ago when we were at the fairgrounds we should do this and I am glad that we are doing it now. It will be in Pinellas County – check our magazine for dates and times. See you soon, Lady White Sox

Donny was raced to Tampa General Hospital where he spent the next 41 days in ICU. The accident has left him blind in both eyes. Donny now has a frontal brain injury that affects his short-term memory. He has little use of his right hand and arm and will not be allowed to work again. He now requires 24 hour care. In an economy on the spiral downward most events have experienced a decline in attendance. The 6th annual Cotee River Bike Fest, held Oct 8th, 9th, 10th, was an exception to the rule! Dan Sullivan and his staff, as well as the Chamber worked 24-7 and produced a quality event! Radical Randy MC’d the happenings for the three days, with Sunday’s ride in bike show by Full Throttle as the finale, Weather couldn’t have been better for everyone involved. I’m sure everyone is already looking forward to next years event! REV JIM

WICKED CHOPPERS GRAND OPENING PARTY Wicked Choppers put together a new bike shop with a great staff , Their grand opening party featured A Live Band (Papa Cherry), DJ Patti MC, a Ride in Bike Show w/ Rev Jim, a Wet T-Shirt contest (thank you ladies), Food, Free Beer, Tattoos, Vendors and around 1,000 Bikes with their riders. It was a great party. I saw a lot of people I knew and some I would like to know (thank you again ladies). The day was warm but the women were hotter. The word is out. Wicked Choppers is open and ready to do whatever your bike needs or whatever you want done to it. You have to drop by their shop on Hwy 19 in Port Richey and check out the work they can do for you. Look for more events from these people. When you hear about one, mark your calendar and get ready to have a fun fi lled day. I don’t have the room to put all the photos I took that day. You can go to my BikerOrNot.com page The Big O 56 and see the ones I can post. Until next time, remember to watch out for the bad drivers out there. ~ The Big “O”

ABATE of Florida, Inc. Asks Judges & Legislators to Levy Stiffer Penalties to Negligent Drivers As many know, ABATE of Florida, Inc’s “Stiffer Penalties” Bill from the 2010 Florida Legislative Session (CS/HB 875 – “Traffic Offenses”) was killed the very last day of the Session. Although the total number of motorcycle-related deaths on the Florida roadways has decreased, the drivers hitting and killing motorcyclists are still mostly walking away with fines ranging from $87 to $159. That’s a small price for cutting off a motorcyclist and seriously injuring and many times killing them. As of October 17, 2010, there have been at least 12 fatal crashes in Florida in 2010 alone. Of these, we know of less than half of them that have pending court hearings, and only 4 of these drivers remain in custody. It appears that most the drivers killing motorcyclists are cited for “Failure to Yield”; which is just a traffic ticket. So far in October there have been two hearings in cases of this type; one in Bushnell that was continued to January 11, 2011; the other in Seminole County continued to October 21, 2010. This second one is from a crash that killed a motorcyclist back in September 2009… over a year ago. Finally, it appears the judge may not be happy with the repeated continuations… all while the driver that killed “Diamond” Dave Mackish has been free and not required to attend any of the hearings since February 2010. Other court hearings coming up; A mandatory hearing on October 18th for Thomas Sherman in Escambia County, who was cited for “Careless Driving” after hitting a Harley Davidson from behind, killing Karl Murray. ABATE of Florida’s Gulf Coast Chapter will be attending this hearing; A mandatory hearing on October 25th for Arjuny Y. Jani in Lee County. Jani was cited for “Failure to Yield Right of Way” after turning in front of Philip J. Baker, killing him when the bike and SUV collided. ABATE of Florida’s Estero River Chapter will be attending this hearing; A hearing in Citrus County on November 5th for Stephanie Nicole Chewning after she cut off Michael J. Lafferty, killing him in the resulting crash. She’s been cited for “Steady Red light, failed to yield while turning”. Planning is underway for ABATE of Florida’s Nature Coast Chapter to attend this hearing. Please visit www.abateflorida.com and click on “Chapters” for contact information to learn more about attending these upcoming hearings. If you’re reading this before you vote on November 2nd, please remember the candidates that are motorcycle friendly; we’ll be counting on them during the upcoming legislative session to show that motorcyclists’ lives are worth more than a traffic ticket. Isn’t your life worth more than $87 to $159? I know my family thinks mine is. Dave “Lockdown” Rich State Public Relations Trustee, ABATE of Florida, Inc. OBAMA = CORNEY The Obama administration says that gas stations can start selling fuel with more ethanol ... a mixture of up to 15 percent! But buyer beware, it’s only recommended for vehicles built since 2007. The current blend of the corn-based fuel allowed is ten percent. The EPA says that more than 65-million vehicles are 2207 or newer.

SURRENDER THE BOOTY I’m glad I don’t attend New Mexico State University! The football team started this season with a 0-4 record and the team was out-scored 184-87. Well, the campus was littered with flyers urging female students to refrain from having sex with members of the football squad. The next Saturday, the Aggies won their first game of the year beating archrival New Mexico 16-14. Looks like a lot of lonely evenings for the football team!

WHAT’S YOUR STAGE NAME? Almost every star has a “stage name”. Do you know who these famous people are? .... A) Marion Morrison, B) Mark Sinclair Vincent, C) John Charles Carter, D) Issur Danielovitch, E) Curtis Jackson, F) Gordon Sumner, G) Caryn Elaine Johnson, H) Robert James Ritchie, I) Eric Bishop, J) Stefani Joanne Germanotta. The answers are printed later in this column!

REALLY!?! THE ECONOMY SUCKS? So the economy sucks??? Don’t tell that to Universal Studios in Orlando. The theme park posted a profi t of $364-million in the third quarter ... the best quarterly result in its 20-year history! The reason was attributed to the opening of the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. Attendance soared 36 percent in the quarter and the park had one million more visitors than it recorded the same time period last year.

NOBODY RIDES FOR FREE Gasoline prices are slowly going up ... up ... up! At press time, the average price of a gallon of gas in the Tampa Bay area was $2.77. One year ago that same gallon of gas cost you $2.39 per gallon. The all time high record was $4.01 per gallon and that was set in July, 2008. Let’s hope we don’t get anywhere near that fi gure.

Stage name answers are: A = actor John Wayne, B = actor Vin Diesel, C = actor Charlton Heston, D = actor Kirk Douglas, E = rapper Eminem, F = singer/guitar player Sting, G = actress Whoopi Goldberg, H = singer Kid Rock, I = actor Jamie Foxx and J = singer Lady Gaga.

SOMEONE’S GETTIN RAILED In 2012 construction is scheduled to start on the TampaOrlando high-speed rail project. The track will follow the median of the I-4 corridor and cover 84 miles. Stations are to include stops in Tampa, Lakeland, Walt Disney World, Orlando County Convention Center and the Orlando International Airport. It is scheduled to start running in late 2015 and a one-way ticket should cost between $15 and $30. An initial $1.25-billion was committed in federal funds but the state is looking for an additional $1.12-billion.

MARCO....POLO We will know on November 2 if it was a good idea or a bad one but, Senate Republicans canceled $4-million worth of television ads for Marco Rubio to put more money towards winning seats in California, Pennsylvania and Illinois. They are sure that Rubio will win here in the Sunshine State. I bet Democrat Kendrick Meek and independent Charlie Crist loved to hear that news!

THE ROOF IS ON FIRE! Say what??? Gene Cranick lives outside the city limits of South Fulton, Tennessee. He was off ered fi refi ghter service by the city for an annual $75 fee but declined to pay. In September, the wonderful fi re department of South Fulton watched Cranick’s house burn to the ground. The fi remen were called to the scene by Cranick’s neighbor (who paid the $75 fee) and feared the fi re could spread to his house. Cranick lost two pets in the fi re and his entire home. I don’t know about you but that sucks ... shame on those fi remen and shame on the city of South Fulton.

A grade school teacher in Kentucky asked her students to use the word “fascinate” in a sentence. Molly put up her hand and said, “My family went to my granddad’s farm, and we all saw his pet sheep It was fascinating.” The teacher said, “That was good, but I wanted you to use the word “fascinate, not fascinating”. Sally raised her hand. She said, “My family went to see Rock City and I was fascinated.” The teacher said, “Well, that was good Sally, but I wanted you to use the word fascinate.” Little Johnny raised his hand. The teacher hesitated because she had been burned by Little Johnny before. She fi nally decided there was no way he could damage the word “fascinate”, so she called on him. Johnny said, “My aunt Gina has a sweater with ten buttons, but her boobs are so big she can only fasten eight.” *****************************************

By John Bolls What a great way to start off October, a benefit run for the United Methodist Children’s Home (north shore of Lake Monroe). This benefit run actually had four different starting locations that all ran to the Children’s Home. I met Deborah Dunstan who told me all about their various programs. It’s amazing all they do to help so many orphaned children and for children removed from some seriously bad home-life situations. This year my wife and I started the run at Space Coast H-D in Palm Bay. Maybe next year we’ll check out the route from Gainesville or Apopka or... I had planned on spending the next day in Orlando, but when I heard that “Evil Monkey” was playing at Dirty Harry’s, my bike just automatically headed towards Daytona. I don’t know any of the band members, but I do know the group hails from Ocala, and they play all over Florida & Georgia. I’m not a talented enough writer to do this band justice, but if you love classic rock you will love this

band. BTW, I will never steer you wrong when it comes to: bikes, babes, bands or beer. The second weekend in October brought us the Sanford Bikefest (Thunder in the Streets). This well attended event was held along the beautiful waterfront in Sanford. As always they brought in some top talent for music covering Country and Rock & Roll. I really enjoyed watching the stunt bike show. I was never able to do jumps like that when I was riding dirt bikes. From Saturday to Sunday I noticed that the beer prices dropped from $4 to $3 (always a good thing in this economy). To that I must say thank you and I’ll see you next year.

Biketoberfest: There is so much I could write about this great event. However I will keep it short, so we will have more room for pictures. Not only do pictures say 1000 words, but they do it better then I do. I would just like to say thank you to all the readers who stopped by the Iron Horse Saloon to make my “booth duty” so enjoyable. Speaking of that, next time you are at any event, stop by the Full Throttle booth and ask for Ken, guaranteed that he will make you laugh. Ken, it was great working with you. To Ray and Nikki of Mind Blower Chopper, it was great working with you both. To the “Krew” from Oldsmar, thanks for stopping by. As always, it was great to ride with my very good friends from West Palm Beach again. To my buddy Chris from Dunnellon and my wife Nancy, thanks for taking pictures for me. Thank you one and all, I look forward to seeing you at Bike Week.
