Bike Week has come and gone, Leesburg Bike Fest and Thunder Beach Bike Fest are up around the corner and it looks like it's going to be one hot Summer here in the great state of Florida! But, would you want it any other way? There are a TON of events starting to come out from the woodworks as the weather is getting nicer and nicer. Full Throttle has all of them and more in this month's issue! Be sure to check our cruisin' calendar both in the magazine and online for all the great upcoming motorcycle events. Also, go like our Facebook Page, Search Florida Full Throttle, we are posting all the events on there as well as great products and some stuff to make you laugh! We are pleased to announce that FreightCenter, Full Throttle and Quaker Steak and Lube are putting on a promotion if you are interested in shipping your bike out to Sturgis for the Black Hills Rally this year. We understand that if you have the time, you should ride it from here to there... but we all work and it takes a solid 3 days to ride from Florida one way. So, if you don't have that much time available to take off, ship your bike with FreightCenter and fly into Sturgis and ride the beautiful roads and see the great sights. For only $595 (round trip including taxes) you can ship your bike, and go with Full Throttle To Sturgis 2014. Full Throttle will be going and filming and documenting the trip for a huge recap with video's and tons of amazing pictures we will take along the way! Call or Contact FreightCenter today as spots are filling up fast! Contact them at 844-855-BIKE or go online to freightcenter.com/Sturgis The Annual Full Throttle Soaked and Sore Ass Poker Run will be June 21st and is booked and ready! We will be traveling from St. Pete to Cocoa Beach (Via a South Route around Okeechobee) then up the coast. We have made a great deal with a beautiful location on the beach for rooms and our after party. The International Palms Resort has rooms available for only $89 a night plus taxes. All participants this year, like in the past, will receive a shirt, patch and completion certificate at the end of the event in Cocoa Beach! Here is a little info if you are interested in going and want to know a little more about this ride....This is a (7) stop poker run, stops are usually around 45 minutes to 1 hour apart, the distance is usually over 300 miles one way, there is plenty of time to make each stop, it is a great ride to meet new people and make new riding friends, ONLY people who go on the run get the shirt and patch and certificate, all extras are sold to participants or thrown away and destroyed. For more info call Full Throttle at 727-935-4875 or to book your room call 800-206-2747 and use the PROMO CODE "FTM" for the discounted room rates. Be sure to find Full Throttle at Leesburg Bike Fest this year as we will be set up in our usual location on Main Street in front of the Library. Also, we hope you enjoy our pictures from Bike Week and our recap in this month's issue. If you want to see more pictures, go to our facebook page and there are multiple albums with thousands of pictures. February and March were busy for the Biker ladies! The Diva Angels National Directors meeting was held at our home base, Quaker Steak and Lube on February 6th. All chapters attended with the exception of our Iowa chapter and our chapter abroad. What an incredible group of women and I am honored to be associated with them. Next up was the Chad Oulson Memorial Ride on February 9th. There was a great turn out and everyone had such a wonderful time. We attended the Quail Hollow Bike Bash on February 16th where the weather was gorgeous and the ride was just beautiful. One of our Divas, Rachel Doll moved to Hayesville, NC last month, but before she left we gave her a great send off by honoring her at the Clock Tower on Treasure Island on February 22nd. It appeared as though the whole biker community showed up!! We’re going to miss you Rachel, but we know you will be with us in spirit! Bikes & Babes By The Bay was a fun event we attended, but then again we have fun wherever we go! We
22
also worked the 3rd Annual Rotary Event for Children on March 2nd where we had the 1st Annual Dunk A Diva dunk tank (check out the pictures). Some of our ladies rode in the poker run and some got wet and fun was had by all! We also rode to various destinations such as Sleepy Hollow, Yalaha and Daytona to name a few. We’re heading to Leesburg in April and we will take part in the 50 Legs Poker Run on April 13th. We are planning to participate in more upcoming events and more rides! Wow, I’m exhausted just thinking about it….. but also very excited! If you are interested in learning more about our organization, we meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Quaker Steak Lube in Clearwater (5:30-7 social meet & greet). You can also find us every 3rdWednesday at the best Bike Night ever at QS&L. Please check out our website www. divaangels.org and find a chapter near you or visit us on Facebook! Hi All! I just sat down to tell you about the fun time we had in Daytona for Bike week. Yes, you all know I hate setting out there for 12 days there, but we were camping, meeting lots of new friends from all over the state, Tina & Jeremy from Ohio, Tammi & Ron from Ontario, Canada and of course old friends Tammy & Duane, Pamela and Cheryl! Oh what great parties we all had at the Abate campfire with plenty of shot specials, Jello & pudding shots!! We even enjoyed our time at The Cabbage Patch handing out the magazines and literature from our sponsors, and Anne helped Radical Randy with his two bike shows there. The next thing to come is the24th Annual Suncoast Brotherhood Chili cook-off Extravaganza on Sunday April 6th at the American Legion post 275, 360 Wilson St., Dunedin. Make sure to mark your calendar, come out for some great chili’s and of course vote for me! Later in April is the Leesburg Bikefest – April 25th– 27th. We will be camping at another Abate campground. Mainstreet Campground, 1512 State Road 44, Leesburg, FL. It is only 3.2 miles to the center of the Bikefest! We have always had a great time at this campground and of course they have hot showers, a full bar, restaurant, vendors and the greatest security for you and your bike! See ya there!! Till next time (Live Life to the Fullest and party you’re a$$ off )...Dew

So i got up one saturday morning and took a drive thru Brooksville. Went up to Crystal River to see the manatees and stopped and had coffee. Stopped at the Harley Shop and then to the High Octane Bar. Looked over all the goodies and talked to some friends. Always enjoy going there. I met a lot of people I know at the High Octane - they have a sunday brunch thats supposed to be great - maybe I will make it one sunday. Then I headed south on 19 and found Howards flea market. What a deal that is - they have a little bit of everything. You can get your lawnmower repaired or buy another one, get a gun, lots of chinese and american stuff. Its really spread out and theres a lot to see. I could have spent all day. They had food vendors but I wasnt hungry yet. If your ever south of Crystal River and Homosassa, make sure to go to Howards Flea Market - you won't be dissappointed. Headed south again and hit Weeki Waches and saw the live mer-
44
maid show. They did a lot of tricks and it's quite an adventure. So I left there and headed back towards Brooksville. I want to tell you something that happened to me - a van ran up on me. If we had not gotten off the road we would have got hurt. As I looked over, it was a girl texting - I think she never even saw me. I was mad but if I would have run her down it would have been a bad thing. I understand they recently passed a law against texting and driving and as I remember when portable tvs got popular you couldn't have one on the front seat. They should pass a law that you can't text from the front seat. A lot of people have been hurt because of this texting stuff and I dont. Please don't read this article in the front seat of your car while driving. Since I been sick, my good friend Bananas has come to see me. That was a joy to see her. I havent seen her in a long time. I hope I get well soon... See you soon Bananas...

Hello Florida bikers!! Wow it's April already and the first day of spring has come and gone. Just like Daytona Bike Week. There was so much happening for those ten days in March in Daytona that there was no time to snooze or you would lose for sure. Full Throttle Magazine was there in the thick of it. We had people spread all over Daytona from the cabbage patch to Main Street station, on the beach at the boardwalk bike show, to Bruce Rossmeyers Destination Daytona. Let me tell ya, there's plenty going on whether it's the constant parade of bikes , babes, or all the choices of entertainment, there's was just not enough hours in the day. Time flies when your having fun. Speaking of fun have you checked out the girls wrestling in the snake pit at Venom 2 in Hudson? Evils Jailbait Girls will be there on the 13th of April, (2nd Sunday) once again to bring you the very best in entertainment from the good folks at Venom 2. Yours truly will be there so stop by and say howdy. While I'm on the subject of Venom 2, stop by on the weekend of April 4,5,and 6 and help the band Black Sun raise some money for Florida bikers helping Florida Bikers while there bass guitarist attempts to get in the world record book for playing his guitar till the cows come home! Time for me to get off my soap box. Keep the rubber side down and ride safe. Red Ryder

An older gentleman had an appointment to see the urologist who shared offi ces with several other doctors. The waiting room was fi lled with patients. As he approached the receptionist’s desk, he noticed that the receptionist was a large unfriendly woman who looked like a Sumo wrestler. He gave her his name. In a very loud voice, the receptionist said, “YES, I HAVE YOUR NAME HERE; YOU WANT TO SEE THE DOCTOR ABOUT IMPOTENCE, RIGHT?” All the patients in the waiting room snapped their heads around to look at the very embarrassed man. He recovered quickly, and in an equally loud voice replied, ‘NO, I’VE COME TO INQUIRE ABOUT A SEX CHANGE OPERATION, BUT I DON’T WANT THE SAME DOCTOR THAT DID YOURS.’ **************** The motherin-law arrives home from shopping to fi nd her son-inlaw in a steaming rage and packing his suitcase. “What happened Bill ?” she asks anxiously. “What happened!! I’ll tell you what happened. I sent an email to my wife telling her I was coming home today early from my fi shing trip. I get home... and guess what I found? Yes, your daughter, my wife Jean, naked with Tom, our neighbor in bed together! This is unforgivable, the end of our marriage. I’m done. I’m leaving forever!” “Now calm down Bill.” says his mother-in-law. “There is something very odd going on here. Jean would never do such a thing! There must be a simple explanation. I’ll go speak to her immediately and fi nd out what happened.” Moments later, the mother-inlaw comes back with a big smile “Bill, I told you there must be a simple explanation .....she never got your email!”

A young Chinese couple on their wedding night, she’s a virgin. He is too, but she doesn’t know it. She is in bed under the blankets and very nervous. He undresses quietly in the darkness then climbs into bed. Soothingly & reassuringly, he says, ‘Darling, I know this the fi rst time for you and you are frightened. I promise you, I do only what you want, no pressure. Just what is it you would like.’ Trying to sound experienced & sophisticated, he asks, ‘So my wife, what would you like from me?’ A thoughtful silence follows and he waits patiently for her request. After a thoughtful silence and with a shy giggle, she whispers, ‘I want to try something I hear from other girls...it called number 69.’ In a puzzled tone he asks her, ‘You want ... garlic chicken with snow peas?’

An old man and a woman were married for many years. Whenever there was a confrontation, yelling could be heard deep into the night. The old man would shout, “When I die, I will dig my way up and out of the grave and come back and haunt you for the rest of your life!” Neighbors feared him. The old man liked the fact that he was feared. To everyone’s relief, he died of a heart attack when he was 78. His wife had a closed casket at the funeral. After the burial, her neighbors, concerned for her safety, asked, “Aren’t you afraid that he may be able to dig his way out of the grave and haunt you for the rest of your life?” The wife said, “Let him dig. I had him buried upside down. And I know he won’t ask for directions.”

BLACK WIDOW HARLEY-DAVIDSON® This month I had the pleasure of interviewing the Marketing Coordinator of BLACK WIDOW HARLEY-DAVIDSON®, KIM BLISS. Located at: 2224 EL JOBEAN RD. PORT CHARLOTTE, FL 33948 941-883-8000 e-mail: kbliss@blackwidowh-d.com www.BlackWidowH-D.com Kim has been with Black Widow Harley-Davidson® since 2010, but the dealership has been here for much longer (9 years – November 2004). She says the best way to get a hold of her is by e-mail (kbliss@blackwidowh-d.com). Opened business when? November 2004 TV Shows? I’ve never been on any TV shows, I’m more of a behind-the-scenes kind of girl. Black Widow HarleyDavidson® has been featured on Born To Ride TV and our Gulf Thunder H.O.G. Chapter has their own documentary movie, ‘Seasons of Thunder’ out on dvd. We like to reach out to our riders through our website, Facebook page and e-mails. Who inspires you the most? Different people inspire me in different areas of my life. Have you been in any other magazines? Black Widow Harley-Davidson® has been featured in some of the other biker magazines that cover the area. What made you interested in motorcycles? “They’re just fun.” Kim has been riding over 20 years. Have you done any work for “famous” people? We don’t get famous people coming through Port Charlotte that often. Tell me about your family? I have extended family across the country. What makes you different from most shops? Black Widow Harley-Davidson® is much larger inside than we look from the outside. We have a 15,000 sq. ft. showroom floor that houses new and pre-owned bikes, Genuine Harley-Davidson® Parts and Accessories and MotorClothes® Apparel, riding gear and gifts and collectibles as well as a 15,000 sq. ft. Service Department. Our goal at Black Widow Harley-Davidson® is to make our riders our top priority. Whether it’s our girls in MotorClothes helping them find the right riding gear or the guys in Parts getting them just the right bling to make their bike their own, all of our employees strive to get the riders exactly what they want or need. Our techs take care of their bikes to make sure they stay safe on the road. When you come to Black Widow H-D®, you’re part of our extended family! What made you think of the name? You’d have to ask Armand about that. Black Widow Harley-Davidson® is owned by Armand and Irene Pinard. Armand and Irene are very hands-on. Irene is the CFO and runs the back office. Armand is the Dealer Principal and when he’s not taking care of the day-to-day running of the dealership, you can often find him chatting with riders as he mans the grill for our Spider’s Road Kill Grill on Saturdays. Background in building… Whether it’s adding the latest bells & whistles or doing a complete performance upgrade, we can help each rider achieve the vision that will make their bike unique. Who are the other employees? The guys in Sales, Manager Derek, Jon and Jan will help you get started along with our Finance & Insurance Manager, Reno. Many people out there are familiar with the smiling faces of our MotorClothes girls, Manager Tammy, Leigh, Ann, and Brandi as well as the knowledgeable guys at the Parts counter; Manager Mi-

chael, Eric, Johnny, Brody and Lenny. Our Service Team consists of Manager Tod, Shop Foreman Don, Service Consultants Mickey, Brian and Todd, Techs Chad, Robert and Ed, and Detailers Scooby and Matt. Of course, you’ll see Armand all around the dealership. Those of us in the back office don’t get a lot of chances to get away from our desk, so you don’t see Irene, Kathy, Krys or myself as much. Where are you from? Michigan originally. Do you sell aftermarket products? We do sell aftermarket products as well as Genuine Harley-Davidson® products. Whatever you need, if we don’t have it in stock, chances are we can order it in for you. What are your future plans? Just to continue to bring our riders the best on two wheels! One of our latest developments is the addition of the Eric Buell Racing line. Eric Buell has begun manufacturing his own bikes again under the EBR Motorcycles banner and Black Widow Harley-Davidson is one of only 60 founding dealers in the country. Can you do warranty work? Yes, a good portion of the work that comes through our Service Department is warranty work. Our Service Consultants are well versed in processing the claims. Do you have bike nights? Black Widow Bike Nights are the first Thursday of the month during Season (October thru May) from 5pm-8pm at the dealership, weather permitting. We have food, drink, vendors, music, games, and prizes. Details can be found on our website and Facebook page. Three things you love? Riding, Sunshine, No Traffic Three things you hate? There is not a lot of things worth spending energy on hating. Why the motorcycle industry? That was just a happy accident. I had just moved down to the area and happened to stop in to look at all the great bikes. A joke was made about working here (I was in the market for a job at the time). Derek said they didn’t have any openings but I was welcome to put an application on file. About 3 months later I was called for an interview. What is the future of the motorcycle industry? The motorcycle industry is growing. More and more people are riding. We still have our core riders – the ones that have always been riding, but there has been a steady increase in other demographics across the board. Gender, age, income, ethnicities; new riders are coming from all different demographics. What is YOUR bike? ‘06 Street Bob in Black Denim with just enough chrome to give it a little attitude (I’m not a fan of polishing). What is your greatest achievement? Every day that I wake up on the right side of the dirt is a good day. I’m content with that. What are your biggest regrets? Any day I miss a chance to ride. What was your over-all favorite bike? Whatever I’m riding at the moment. What is “THE SPIDER?” It is a monthly publication put out by Black Widow H-D® for the riders in our community. We try to fill it with informative content about riding plus anything interesting going on at the dealership or in the community. It’s a group effort. Each department manager usually writes an article. Tammy highlights new items she gets in, especially when it’s riding gear that has had some serious upgrades such as the new Triple Vent Jackets that have been designed specifically to work with the new fairings on the Project Rushmore bikes. Parts and Service often do writeups that answer common questions people have about the performance of their bikes or about issues that they see riders struggling with when trying to upgrade or customize their bikes. Armand has a column full of wisdom and insight on a wide variety of topics. And, of course, we always have a calendar of local community biker events in there. So, if you’re out riding and looking for somewhere to go…take a trip down to BLACK WIDOW HARLEY-DAVIDSON® where once you’re there, you will be part of the BLACK WIDOW FAMILY! And don’t forget about their BIKE NIGHTS THE FIRST THURSDAY FROM 5-8. ________________________ ¬¬In other news around my area: I met these amazing people: Buckaroo Roadhouse (Gus Pons and Misty) = 941-747-2070 Bullseye Indoor Pistol Range (Doug Thompson) = 941-729-7906 Coastal Cruisers (Rick Butler, Owner) = 941-627-6686 (The) Embroidery Patch (Kevin Luck, Jr.) = 941-488-0001 Quest Diagnostics (701 Manatee Ave., & 8451 University Sarasota) Tasty Home Cookin’ = 941-921-4969 U-Haul (Dale Gibson) = 941-301-1998 VA Affairs = 941-371-3349 The Tire Choice (Shaye Brannen) = 941-756-8605 The Tire Choice (Rob) = 941-441-2504 (Venice) The Tire Choice (John) = 941-426-1019 (North Port) Whiskey Creek (Dominic) = 941-766-0045 Til Next Issue, Nancy P. Full Throttle received a call a few weeks before bike week from Destination Daytona asking if we were interested in doing an event under the coke pavilion to help draw some people in there and make it a party for the first weekend of Bike Week. Of course we said yes and contact Fran Haasch and we put on a kickoff party and Bike Show for the first time ever. We had over 50 bikes entered in the show and that was very good as we did not have much time to plan or promote. Charlie Humphries MC'd the day and threw out a bunch of freebies for the people. The coolest thing in the pavilion was this huge swing that the bartenders swung on over the center bar. It was a big hit when the girls in bikini's got on it and were throwing out free stuff to the crowd! We have a great turn out for this first time event and we are very excited to be part of it again for next year! I would like to congratulate Radical Randy who won the judges choice trophy. His bike has been down for over three months and this was the first time it was back on the streets and riding, thank for coming out to our show and supporting us! We would like to thank Destination Daytona for the opportunity and Our AMAZING and wonderful Attorney Fran M. Haasch for sponsoring the show!

With over 120 bikes, this was one of the largest Boardwalk Bike Show's that Full Throttle and Attorney Fran M. Haasch has ever seen! Bike Week this year seemed more packed than ever. I guess the cold and snow made everyone want to run to Florida! The boardwalk was packed with people from sun up to when the trophies were given away at 5pm. It was a beautiful day and the weather was perfect. One of the best trophies was won by a 1 year old little girl who had an ET bike. I would have to say, I think she is the youngest Bike Show winner I have ever seen. Bill Chaffin and the entire crew that run the Boardwalk Bike show did an excellent job as they normally do each year! Full Throttle Magazine, Attorney Fran M. Haasch, Pepsi and the Boardwalk Merchants would like to thank everyone that come down to take pictures and enjoy our show and all the people who entered their bikes in the show! Without you all, there is no show, so thank you! We hope to see you all in October as we hold this show on Friday during Biketoberfest and the last Friday of Bike Week every year!

Radical Randy and the Cabbage Patch hosted a few bike show's this year at bike week but the one that knocked everyone's socks off was the Battle of the Bagger Bike Show on Thursday! There were close to 80 bikes in this show and they just kept coming! The machines that showed up for this contest were out of this world! Everyone was a bagger and each one was completely different. The bikes had front tires ranging for 26 all the way to a 32 inch front tire! The one you are looking at the right was the best in show and won over $700 in cash and prizes. Congrats on a great show and we can't wait for Biketoberfest to do it all over again!

The Rats Hole Bike Show was amazing as usual this year. Radical Randy MC'd The Day and there were a ton of bikes in the show and the Daytona Lagoon looked packed. This year they had No Limits Oils girls there all day signing autographs and they held a bikini contest with 4 of the girls for cash prizes. These girls also were the trophy models for all the winners. One of the best moments of the show this year was when a father and son team won first place and got the huge rat trophy, the young child was so overwhelmed with emotions he started crying and the whole crowd gave him a huge applause! That's what it is all about. Getting kids involved in the motorcycle community and make them feel part of something bigger than their cell phones and video games. The bikes this year were amazing with the baggers seeming to be the biggest draw and class. Full Throttle had Georgia Boy out there handing out our magazines and promoting our sponsors. This is his favorite event to do as he loves looking at all the bikes in the show! Teddy and his family are doing a great job with the Rat's Hole Show. You can see their next show at Leesburg Bike Fest in April. Congrats on another wonderful show!
