Welcome to August, where it’s either hot or raining, those seem to be our only choices this time of the year. I am heading out to Sturgis for the Black Hills Rally with Charlie and my buddy Jurski from Toledo from August 2nd till August 16th. This will be a blast as we have about 5 bike shows planned to attend or help with while we are there. Of course, we are going to do some great riding also and see all the amazing sights along the way! We will be posting a ton of pictures from Sturgis and if we have strong enough Wi-Fi, we will be live streaming! I would like to thank the Buffalo Chip for having us every year. This year our bike show is on the last Friday of the Event, and it is called the Bagger Blast off Bike Show. I would also like to thank Marc from Camp Easy Ride, where they are hooking Full Throttle up in their compound area. Sounds like they have everything together for a great time and one heck of a party! Hope to see everyone in Sturgis that is going, be safe if you are traveling, they say there will be over 1 million people there in Sturgis. Sounds like it’s going to be crazy busy this year. The Full Throttle Anniversary Party has been booked and will be on Sunday November 7th at The OCC Roadhouse and Bert’s Barracuda Harley-Davidson. This is our 25th Anniversary, that’s huge!!!! If you haven’t been to one of our Anniversary Parties, WE GIVE BACK $100 FOR EVERY YEAR WE HAVE BEEN IN BUSINESS! That’s Right, we will be giving back $2,500 in cash FOR FREE! All you must do is show up and be there and pill out one simple form with your name, address, phone number and email

8

address. We will pull 5 - $100 winners at the top of each hour starting at 1pm. So that will be 5 $100 dollar winners at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm, 4pm and 5pm for a total of $2,500!!!! If we pull your name and you are not there, YOU LOSE! You must be present when we call your name to win the cash! We are also having a cornhole tournament with cash prizes, a 10-class bike show, our annual slow races and of course a $500 bikini contest. The bikini contest winner wins $250, 2nd place will win $150 and 3rd place will win $100. You can find us every month all over the place, but we are always at two bike nights each week. First, we are at Quaker Steak and Lube every Wednesday for the largest, longest running bike night in the state of Florida. Next, we are at OCC Roadhouse & Bert’s Barracuda Harley every Thursday with the Bay Area Riders. Both of these great Bike Nights are also sponsored by Fran Haasch (866-LAW-FRAN or www.LAWFRAN.com) We are doing a 10 class bike show the Last Thursday of the Month at OCC ROAD HOUSE, this will be on August 26Th, so be sure to bring out your show bikes and enter them, they will be under the pavilion. if you have any questions, please feel free to call us at 727935-4875 Remember there are a ton of events coming up in the last Quarter of 2021 and we will be at them all handing out magazines and promoting the biker community. If you want o get an ad in, please call us at 727-935-4875 or talk to Laurie Jo, Dave, Charlie or Myself. A Full-Page ad is only $400! That is almost half of what they use to be! We are here to help your business grow and bring you customers. Some of the upcoming events include: Cotee River Bike Fest, Biketoberfest, St. Pete Bike Fest, Leesburg Bike Fest, Thunder Beach and of course all the Christmas Rides in December. Dogs days of summer, about sums it up. We got lucky with the last hurricane, and are still fighting the red tide smell when you ride over the bay. It hurts the fishing and surfing trips but like every year, time turns to warp speeds before ChrIstmas it seems. I Had the pleasure of going up to War Horse in Ocala last month, for the first ever 50 legs/War Horse “warriorfest “, If you haven't been up there it's worth the drive. It's nice for me to get out of the cities and back to areas like that. I Wished it was on a motorcycle , but it was awesome taking back roads and sightseeing along the way and supporting 50 legs! I feel a little naked as a non bike owner now, even if I was not riding it the last year and a half. My job at Full Throttle keeps me in this circle and the longtime friends I've made, but I certainly can empathise with those who have to give up two wheels. It's a lonely spot for a minute. Bike events are still for everyone, remember that! There are many who come caging it to absorb the noise, see the vendors

14

and support whatever cause we are doing and read our magazine. If that's you, thank you..We are rather honored when someone does a poker run from their car with us ! The big news is I am about to close on my home the day this goes to print!! Thank you Jennifer Lance at associateshomeloan.com. I was in foreclosure (sadly) and she helped me obtain a new mortgage, transition a home sale with a closing, even helped me work out interim housing when the closing was delayed. She has been incredible and it is starting to sink in that she did it !! My first home I own by myself ! It's exciting, scary and yes it's a fixer upper so I have my work cut out. But it's mine and I'll paint it pink if I choose too. I can't take a picture with the key, I already lost it haha, but thank god for technology I now need only a fingerprint. I hope everyone is having a good, safe summer and if I can help you with an event or online coverage , let's do it. lauriefullthrottle@gmail.com Peace and love to the biker world , Laurie Jo P.S. to my new neighbor, I am sorry I accidentally put your power in my name and messed up both our accounts. The water bill is too, sorry. Dyslexia is real Boss!

Brothers and Sisters, many of y'all already know me. For those who don't, I'm Dave Ashby aka (WildCard). I was born and raised right here in good ole Tampa, Florida. Graduated from Hillsborough High School, home of the BIG RED 1991. Joined the Navy as soon as Desert Shield broke out while I was in high school. The Navy taught me how to fabricate and weld, and I have worked in that feild pretty much my whole life. Unfortunately my motorcycle accident last year that broke my hip resulting in a full hip replacement, prevents me from getting back into my normal field of work.

44

My love and passion for anything motorized with 2 wheels, started when I first got on a mini bike and whiskey throttled it straight into a chain link fence when I was a kid. Bought my first motorcycle, and wrecked it :) when I was in high school. 5 motorcycles later I'll never give it up. What changed my life more than anything is when I started riding with West Coast Florida Riders WCFR. WCFR totally changed my life, gave me a whole new outlook on who I am. I have made so many friends that have truly become my family. I am truly speechless and humbled with what my family has done for me in the last year. And now it feels like a dream come true to be given an opportunity to work with Full Throttle Magazine. I have always had a passion for helping others. I had my brothers and sisters back when I was an IBEW Union Stuart. Now I get to have my brothers and sisters back with promoting motorcycle related events.
