Tampa Bay attorneys John Della Costa and David Neville met while working at local law firms that operated with what they call the “Mill Mentality.” The goal of the “Mill Mentality” is to attract as many cases as possible and then push them through the legal system quickly. It was a volume business that produced great revenue for the law firms, but John and David always felt the clients weren’t getting the personal attention they deserved.
THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO GET YOUR FREE GUIDE*: 1) Visit www.ProLawUSA.com and click the download button
2) Call our office at In 2006 John and David decided to do things differently. They envisioned a law firm where clients could work directly with their attorneys – not paralegals, case workers, or assistants like they would at a typical “TV law firm.” They knew this approach would require them to accept fewer cases but they also knew it was the best way to serve their clients. Together, John and David created the law firm of Della Costa & Neville to provide clients with the personal service they felt was lacking in so many of the larger firms.

If you’ve been injured there are plenty of law firms out there eager to handle your case and it’s not always easy to tell the differences between them. That’s why John Della Costa decided to write Don’t Get Caught In The Mill! It’s an inside look at the way different law firms operate and is designed to provide consumers with the information they need to select the right attorney for their case. If you are a Florida resident you can get this book for free without any obligation.

Well, it appears the Diva Angels just keep going and going like the Energizer Bunny. December and January were busy for us biker ladies! We had a wonderful day at the Faces of Courage Kids Camp as we do every year. The children were in awe of our bikes and loved how the Diva's spent good quality time with each of these special little angels. I'm not sure who got more out of our visit, the diva's or the children! Next up was our annual visit to Sabal Palms Assisted Living Facility to go caroling for the patients. They loved it as we could tell by the smiles on their faces. We certainly cannot sing like professionals but it's the thought that counts, right? We took part in the Suncoast Brotherhood Toy Run which is also a blast. Watching the families on the parade route applauding and shouting "God Bless You" was kind of emotional for me as it was for the other bikers. It feels so good to help others and know that we are appreciated. We wrapped up December with our Diva Holiday party hosted by Robin Williams and Sandy Brown. Good times and I'll leave it at that, LOL! The weather wasn't on our side for our annual New Years ride, but we still had a great time. Good lunch at Ocean 41 and then we rode to see the manatees. Fun but cold..... Other events we participated in were Jim's Harley Davidson Chili Cook off, The Locks of

Love event at Biff's, The Gibtown Bikefest and a ride to Thunder By The Bay. An event that is near and dear to our hearts was the Full Throttle Bike Builders Invitational. Every year Tony from FT and Bill Church from QSL and their respective teams, put on a phenomenal event and we were happy to be part of it! Our fearless leader Robin Williams had her annual head shaving at the event and that is always hysterical(pictures from this event will be in my next article)! Thanks for always being a good sport Robin, you rock! We did a bunch of other wonderful events however, space is limited on this page; but trust me we've been BUSY! I also want to give a special shout out to all the people who donated pj's for our Pajama program. We collected 200+ pj's for foster children and we thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for participating. If you are interested in learning more about our organization, we meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Quaker Steak Lube in Clearwater (5:30-7 social meet & greet). You can also find us every 3rdWednesday at the best Bike Night ever at QS&L. Please check out our website www.divaangels.org and find a chapter near you or visit us on Facebook! Welcome bikers to a very busy back yard. Hope you joined us for the 2014 Full Throttle Bike Builders Expo at Quaker Steak and Lube. We got off to a cold start but we heated up the place real fast. Thank you to everyone who came out and attend the event. This event gets bigger and bigger every year and this year was no exception. As always I managed the Jagermeister stage. The crew from Jager, as always, was first class and the sound was amazing. Thank you to all the bands for working with me to get equipment in and out of the stage area. Big thank you to my old friend John Surek for coming down from Colorado to help again with the stage and thank you to all the guys that volunteered all weekend long. Can't wait til next year.

Hi all just sat down to write a little something down. If you didn’t come out to Jim’s H-D Chili Cook-off you missed a good time and some great chilis! The next chili cook-off will be at is at the Cobra MC clubhouse in Pinellas Park on Saturday, February 8 from 1- 6 PM. So come on out and have some of my great Dew Drop Inn chili. Anne & I will be there all afternoon with plenty of chili for everyone to try. If you missed the Florida Full Throttle Expo and Biker Buildoff Invitational let me tell you it was like a small Daytona week packed into 1 location and 3 days. Friday night started out cold but by the time to you had a couple of drinks you didn’t care. Saturday was just busy..busy..busy!! We were running around like chickens with their heads cut off – showing people to vendors they were looking for, selling raffle tickets, getting bands set up, answering questions and anything else that you can think of we did that day!. The day was sunny and warm, packed with lots of fun people who enjoyed great music, great food, great drinks and fireworks!! Sunday started out with a few drops and ended with a lot of them but we still has a kick a$$ day! Music, food, drinks and of course the Builder awards and then the ride in show. Thank you to all of you who came out to enjoy with us!! Till next time Live life to the fullest and party you’re a$$ off… Dew

I would like to remind people of the Eustis antique meet by international vintage motorcycles. It will be march 7 8 9 2014. The reason I am putting this in the feb issue is because a lot of people don't get the magazine on the first so they know it will be coming up. I made a couple of mistakes last month. The first was I did not know that gophers do not eat tomatoes but they are vegetarians and the other thing I forgot to tell Ed Tooley is that the tomatoes must have been for him. Ed I am glad you called me to correct me. That is not the fonz on that bike but it was the first bike he ever fixed up. It is a triumph tr6 also it is George Barres the builder of the cars for the stars, check it out. Also, the people Ed is working for with Slicka Jane of Slicks Garage in Palmetto, FL. Jason of Twister Customs of Sarasota and Bradenton FL. Check out their work, all of these guys are top shelf If you know what I mean. I get calls about these things. It is nice to know people read my stuff as I would like everyone to know I do not fancy myself as a writer. As a matter of fact I only have a grammar school education. Hope you excuse my gram-

mar and spelling and not dotting my eyes sometimes but when you get around 80 years old maybe you will excuse me. Also I have not felt good lately and I have a lot of trouble breathing, I guess my brain doesn't function properly. If you don't see me at the biker build off it isnt because I dont want to be there, I just didn't feel good. I hope everybody has a good time. If I had a portable breathing machine, I might have made it. Maybe someone can come up with one. See You Soon Missy.

Hello Florida bikers, another month has gone by. Goodbye January , hello Febuary . Wow, another month closer to Bike Week in Daytona beach! Whoo hoo! Anyway, January was the first month for the Showdown in the Snakepit at Venom 2 saloon and custom cycle. We had a great time and the weather cooperated. We had a good turnout of venders at the swap meet with a good variety of parts, t shirts, food and plenty more to look thru. You could do a little shopping for that hard to find part or goodie you have been looking for. Evils JailBait girls were there looking good as always. They were helping Venom 2 sell shots of the liquid kind, detailing your motorcycle with stripper juice, and later in the day they were found wrestling in the Venom snakepit covered in chocolate pudding! If you weren't there you missed quite a show. Don't sweat it if you missed it bro, Full Throttle Magazine and Evils JailBait Girls are gonna be there the 2nd Sunday of every month from 1 till 5 pm with new and sexy ways to entertain you. This month we are issuing a challenge to several of the neighboring drinking establishments. Asking them to send one of there female bartenders or servers to represent their bar by showing up and wrestling in the snakepit with Evils JailBait girls. This months challenge goes out to B.B. McGees, Villas pub, The Thirsty Moose, and High Octane Saloon in Homosassa. Be sure and stop out and join in the fun. I also want to do a shout out to Murrey and Kit at Quality Value Auto Repair in Brooksville Fl. They are good people I met while hosting the Showdown in the SnakePit at Venom 2. They do good and affordable work up there and I look forward to handing there advertising needs in the future. Thanks, and Murrey.... take care of that finger! P.s. Florida bikers for Florida bikers will be hosting a world record attempt by black sons bass guitar player Rusty Ellison at Venom 2 on the weekend of April 4-5th. Red Ryder

We pay shipping from you to us and back to you on all full builds. Dial our number, we are saving customers as much as 12k a build. I’m Joey Beam and I guarantee your 100% satisfied or you don’t pay until you are. www.vindictivewayz.com or Joey Beam’s Vindictive Wayz on Facebook. Most of these bikes are for sale, if you choose to build your own, don’t cheat yourself, we have seen the best and beat the best! This month I had the pleasure of interviewing two of the four owners of HAP’S CYCLE SALES, Robert & Valerie Poneleit. Located at: 2530 -17th Street Sarasota, FL 34234 941-365-3443 - 800-303-4277 e-mail: bob@hapscycle.com www.hapscycle.com HAP’S CYCLE SALES has been around since 1948! It’s truly a family-owned business… starting with Bob’s dad and mom, this is how it all began: In July, 1950 when his mom was pregnant with Bob, they didn’t even own a car; his dad took his mom to the hospital on their family motorcycle (HD with side-car,and Bob returned home in the same side-car!) The family never owned a car until Bob’s brother, Steve, was born! Opened business when? Our first shop was a three-car garage in a back alley on 3rd Street in Sarasota. Then they moved to 4th Street and the motorcycle enthusiasts “hung out” there because they were the only true HD shop around these parts. At that time his dad was in business with Louis Puckett who owned 51% of the shop, so it was called PUCKETT’S HD. When his dad bought him out, they changed the name to HAP’S CYCLE SALES then moved into this location in 1963.
I have a daughter and two step-sons. Alice has 2 sons that work here. They are going to be the next generation of leaders in the company. Alice, and her husband David Bixler, both ride and they co-own the business with my wife, Valerie, who is an avid rider. She belongs to the Motor Maids (the oldest Woman’s motorcycle club in America established in 1940!). Valerie was born April, 1950. Bob NEVER calls her his “old lady”…He has too much respect for women. “No woman should ever be referred to as an “old lady!” Bob has been riding since 1956…only 6 yrs. old! Valerie has been riding ever since she met Bob (1993). She is a very accomplished rider plus she has ridden nearly 200,000 miles! They have NEVER taken a car…they always go on bikes for their trips! Everybody I knew had a motorcycle. That’s how I grew up. I didn’t know of anybody that didn’t have a motorcycle. Who inspires you the most? I have a lot of heroes in the motorcycle industry. Malcolm Smith (California Dealer) is one of my favorites. He was the first American to go over to Europe and contest ISDT and win gold. He also starred in “On Any Sunday”. Best way to reach you? Phone 941-365-3443 Have you been in any other magazines? We have been around for so long, just about all of the local magazines have had articles and interviewed most of my family. Have you done any work for “famous” people? Dicky Smothers, Bo Jackson, different sports figures, Paul Azinger (progolfer) is one of their customers What do you offer? Full Service for any kind of motorcycle; “there is not much in the motorcycle industry that we can’t do”…minor HD repair such as oil changes, tire changes, etc. (Bob hired Larry Schaffer who had 20 years’ experience doing HD repairs and service, but they closed down the HD side when Larry retired because there were too many shops that are dedicated to HD service).
How did you get involved with HONDA? Harley-Davidson didn’t (at that time) offer any beginner bikes for children or teenagers; HONDA did. HD TV? Local stations, Channel 7, Channel 8, SN news, Channel 13, Born To offered 125cc and 165cc bikes, but they weren’t as good as the rest of Ride TV, and of course Full Throttle. the world that was building bikes in that cc category. “HONDA was very innovative in bringing out motorcycles that everybody could ride.” His dad What makes you different from most shops? We are “brand friendly”…no studied the industry pretty hard. He was very excited when HONDA came matter what type of bike you own we always want to be your friend! We to Gardenia, CA in 1959. never turn people away… If a little kid comes in with his head hanging In 1960, his friend (who lived in Jacksonville) opened up a Honda dealerdown because his moped has a flat, it is an important to him as the biggest ship. His dad went up there for a week to learn everything he could about Ultra Classic HD chromed out is to the biker who owns it. That’s what I love HONDA (assembling new motorcycles) – they were all the 50cc bikes – about this job…I just love working on bikes of all types! then Honda started bringing the 160, 150, 250, 305cc and these were the very first HONDA motorcycles in the US! It was a good fit for the “motorWhat made you think of the name? My dad’s nickname was HAP. He was cycle family”… any kid, teenager, or college-aged adult could learn to ride born in 1922. My grandfather had an ice route. He was always clicking his a Honda because it was very reasonably priced and was very dependable. heels and whistling carrying ice up and down his route. His grandfather Honda put electric starters on their small motorcycles. HD didn’t start earned the name “HAPPY” and thus his dad became known as “LITTLE putting electric starters on their bikes until 1970. Bob’s dad worked very HAP”. hard with HD trying to get the engineers to update to what the motorcycle standard is today, but HD stayed antiquated and didn’t improve Background in building? I was almost dis-owned by my dad because I their machinery. So Bob’s dad fell in love with Honda because they were wanted to build a chopper. He was in the war, and he related Chopper’s to easy to put together and started right up when they were assembled. In outlaw bikers. But he changed 1961 they opened up a Honda his mind when I won my first dealership and sold Honda and bike show with the Customized HD. There were only 2 Honda Chopper I had built (my dad dealerships in FL at that time. was against customizing moAt age 6, Bob already started torcycles also!). So he allowed cleaning bikes at his dad’s me to build bikes here, and HD shop on 4th St. My older he guided me sometimes. Where are you from? Sarasota, FL
What is the most common mistake new bike builders make? Because I judge a lot of bike shows, not paying attention to details. When you’re assembling a bike, you have to have a vision of finished product. You have to follow the contour of the bike. Wiring has to be hidden, paint finishes, molding, and thread sticking out of a hole when it should be flush…We just don’t have a lot of bike builders around this area…Weston is out of Venice, and I just love his work! He is a wonderful bike builder; he just doesn’t seem to get the kind of notoriety he deserves. *Weston Davern Chop Shop, 265 Warfield Ave., Venice, FL 34285 941759-0100 *Check this article in later months when I interview Weston!
Do you sell aftermarket products? YES What are your future plans? Growing the business…the economy is still not that great, but getting our kids more involved so they can take over and we can retire! Can you do warranty work? YES Do you have bike nights? Not right now, but we ran the 50’s diner and then took over MEL’S diner bike nights for 9 years. There were 200+ bikes. We did Hooter’s bike nights for a while also. Why is your shop different? Our business is unique because we do just about anything and everything. If you need to buy accessories for your bike, we accessories it; If you need a bike customized, we customize it; If you need a bike to be restored, we restore it. Some shops are specific to certain things…we can do it all! We are a full spectrum dealership! We still fabricate parts. Describe yourself in 3 words? Valerie answers this: Talented, Trustworthy, Hysterical Three things you love? My WIFE, My Motorcycle, being in the motorcycle industry
Bob & Valerie Poneleit Goldwing HAP'S CYCLE SALES
Three things you hate? I don’t hate anything; hate is an awful way to live life. I dislike what the government has done to small business, being over-taxed, and the bureaucracy. Why the motorcycle industry? “The first time I saw a motorcycle, I knew that is what I wanted to do!” I like to touch bikes, I like to work on them, and I like the people who ride them. It’s my whole life…There is no better life than being in the motorcycle industry. What is the future of the motorcycle industry? The technology of today is taking off in unbelievable directions. Longevity of the machines is much better; serviceability is much better. You never have to worry that your bike will break down when you’re on a long trip. The ride, comfort, etc. is much better. And they keep improving on what has already been improved on. So the future of the motorcycle industry is giving what the customer desires, wants, and needs. The reliability has gone through the roof! What is your greatest achievement? Winning the Rat’s Hole in Daytona (the largest custom bike show) 650 class in 1976 with my Triumph Chopper. What are your biggest regrets? Not having more time off and not being able to do the rides that we want to do. First bike: 1949 HD 125 (they called it a “Hummer”) Val’s First Bike: 250 Rebel BOB’S Overall favorite bike: 1961 R27, I just restored the 1969 Triumph Trident (I do bike games on BMW) Val’s Overall favorite bike: BMW 800GT, Triumph
Bob Poneleit with his Triumph
What are you currently building? I am restoring the Triumph Trident and hope to have it ready by March! Do you offer any specials? Oil change for $14.95; Install tires for $34.95 (and balance w/tire purchase) What are the incentives with HONDA? Honda treats us pretty well. Whenever there’s a savings, we pass it along to our customers. Honda offers the best touring machines and the best performance machines on the market
Do you both ride? Valerie has a F6B, old BMW, and a Honda Sport 250 that she rides. I have a collection of motorcycles that I ride. We do a lot of riding together. Denny still races privately in vintage races; he has won National #2, and Southwest Eastern Champion, and has raced out of our shop on the old vintage Honda’s. Our racing team has been a strong threat for many years. Our family is involved with a lot of things that most people don’t know about such as off road motorcycles. “SARASOTA HAS THE BEST RIDERS IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA!” Most people don’t know that. Best off-road racers are from here, and the better road racers are from here. Michael Korbino (a young kid) races Triumph out of our shop in Daytona. He also races HD out of Rossiter’s. Michael is a good racer! If you were starting over right now, what would you do differently? Try to reduce the overhead. Val interjects that “I always thought you would have gotten more into the custom bike building.” Bob says it would have been nice to have custom layouts on the floor. Pay attention to overhead. I love the staff we have, but a little less staff you can accomplish similar things. You have volunteered for a lot of events, especially THUNDER BY THE BAY…How long have you been volunteering? Volunteered for March of Dimes; First Ride For Kids 25 yrs. ago. We do a lot of fundraisers for different organizations. Pediatric Brain Tumor is one that we really target. I had a young man who was a brain tumor survivor who worked for me, so I got a lot of media coverage for that. Southeastern Guide Dogs, Food Bank, 16-hands for Horse Sanctuary; We are involved with Hap’s Gulf Coast Riders (a very strong riding club along with Motor Maids) and we raised money so that HGCR can contribute to all the other charities (Blue Knights, the HOG chapters, the DIVA Angels) when they put on an event for fundraising. Once a year Hap’s puts on “CHIC-FILLED EGG RUN” to raise funds so that they contribute more dollars to fund all the other local charities! They have been doing that for a very long time. Anything else you’d like to say? I can’t thank FULL THROTTLE enough for coming to our dealership! It’s such a pleasure! Our advertising budget has been reduced, and I used to do a lot more media ads. I really appreciate what FULL THROTTLE offers, and I appreciate the events that FULL THROTTLE puts on. So, if you’re looking for a place to work on your motorcycle or just want to “hang out”, take a ride to HAP’S CYCLE SALES where you’re sure to be in good hands… CONFIDENCE and TRUSTWORTHY…”You think twice about turning your bike keys over to anyone (even your best friend or brother….But you will turn your car keys over to anybody!” “If you have a good woman, you don’t share her with anyone…likewise, you don’t share your motorcycle with nobody!!!” Til next issue, Nancy P. - Full Throttle Rep. Tampa, FL – Owners Enrique and Tracy Zuluaga are pleased to announce that they have opened their first Roadside Grill on the Harley-Davidson of Tampa property. Their menu is a mix of American and Latino – a reflection of the owners – Enrique is a native of Puerto Rico, and Tracy is originally from Long Island, NY. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable and the menu is designed for a wide array of tastes. “We kept driving by and we were confident that we could launch a successful destination spot there,” said Enrique. “We had to submit a bid against other potential restaurant owners and were so excited when we won the opportunity to open Roadside Grill,” added Tracy. They are grateful for their relationship with Harley-Davidson and plan to open more destination spots like Roadside at other dealerships in Florida. “The selection process took a few months,” said Harley-Davidson of Tampa’s General Manager Mike Rendine. “We were looking for more than a tenant for the restaurant, we were looking for a long-term partner,” he added. Harley-Davidson of Tampa reviewed several applicants and awarded the opportunity to Roadside Grill because of their experience and industry knowledge. They are also working with CBS Radio to become one of their concert party stops on the 2014 Live Nation concert tour schedule. “Our goal was to create a unique menu and entertainment environment suitable for a variety of customers,” said Tracy. Enrique works the kitchen at Roadside Grill and grew up in the restaurant industry. His mother owned a bakery, and his first job was working in a bakery in Puerto Rico. He has been in Florida since 1992 and is the former owner of Café Z (by the Wing House on 301), and has worked for such places as Bahama Breeze, Alessi’s Catering, Wing House, Hooters, Shulas,
and San Juan Latin Café. The pair has plans for a beer and wine license and will expand their hours of operation once they obtain the license, which is targeted for February. Plans are in the works for a bike night, Saturday brunch, Latin Sunday’s with dominos on the deck, live music and MMA fight night – Enrique trains locally with Belt and Title Holder Yosmany “The Spartan” Cabezas. When they launched the business, the couple had a partner, now they are operating on their own. They are taking inquiries for partners to expand the eatery to multiple Harley-Davidson locations. In addition, and quite untraditionally, they are planning a raffle with a chance to win an equity stake in the company. Raffle tickets can be bought by visiting Roadside Grill on North Dale Mabry, or by calling them directly at 305753-5755. Their more popular meals include the breakfast sandwich on fresh pressed Cuban bread, their deep fried deviled crabs and stuffed potatoes, the 100% Certified Angus Beef Roadside Burger, and Blue Bacon Tommy, a burger topped with blue cheese crumbles, bacon, and tomato, and topped with a balsamic reduction. Another authentic sandwich that is drawing the attention of Enrique’s followers is their Tripleta, a Puerto Rican specialty with grilled ham, roast pork, and Palomilla steak topped with melted provolone and their house special mojo sauce. Roadside Grill is located at 6920 North Dale Mabry Hwy in Tampa, FL. All food is cooked to order and they serve lunch and dinner. Their menu includes sandwiches and salads, quesadillas, classic BLT’s and burgers. They also carry BBQ Pork sandwiches, Roast Pork Sliders, Tostones with steak and cheese, buffalo shrimp jumbo, dry rub wings, blackened chicken, Jumbo Wings, and their Cuban Salad is a house specialty. They can be reached via phone at 813-508-2433 or online at https://www.facebook.com/roadsidegrillandbrew. Contact: Tracy Gill Zuluaga 305-753-5755 tracy@roadsidegrilltampa.com

For those who haven’t heard, Colorado just passed both laws - gay marriage and legalized marijuana. The fact that gay marriage and marijuana were legalized on the same day makes perfect biblical sense. Leviticus 20:13 says, “If a man lies with another man they should be stoned.” We just hadn’t interpreted it correctly before! ***************************************** An elderly gentleman went to the local drug store and asked the pharmacist for the little blue Viagra pill. The pharmacist asked “How many?” The man replied, “Just a few, maybe a half dozen. I cut each one into four pieces.” The pharmacist said, “That’s too small a dose. That won’t get you through sexual intimacy.” The old fellow said, “Oh, I’m past eighty years old and I don’t even think about intimacy much anymore. I just want it to stick out far enough so I don’t pee on my new golf shoes.”

A friend told the blonde, “Christmas is on a Friday this year.” The blonde says, “Let’s hope it’s not the 13th.” A blonde sees a letter lying on her doormat. It says on the envelope “DO NOT BEND “. She spends the next 2 hours trying to fi gure out how to pick it up. A tourist asks a blonde, “Why do Scuba divers always fall backwards off their boats?” The blonde replies: “If they fell forward, they’d still be in the boat.”
