Friday, February 17, 2023 - Sunday, February 19, 2023 - Thunder By The Bay Music & Motorcycle Festival - 25th Annual - The 25th Annual Thunder By The Bay Music & Motorcycle Festival is a three-day event held Feb. 17-19, 2023 at the Sarasota Fairgrounds to benefit Suncoast Charities for Children. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy continuous live music. Featured headline acts include 38 Special (Saturday - February 18) and Colt Ford (Sunday – February 19). The Festival features over 100 vendors, motorcycle freestyle shows, a charity motorcycle ride, 17 class bike show, a motorcycle stereo contest, a burnout contest, “little riders” kid zone, great food, a “Born To Be Wild” Festival kickoff party, and so much more! Dry & full-service camping is available on-site with free motorcycle parking inside the Festival grounds. Admission is $10 in advance and $15 at the gate (12 and under free). Hittin' the Road for Hospice Motorcycle Poker Run - Cruise with Gulfside on a scenic ride through Pasco County for our annual motorcycle poker run! The run begins at Harley-Davidson of New Port Richey, makes stops throughout the county to collect poker cards, and ends at Zephyrhills Moose Lodge #2276. Tickets are $30 per person. Registration is from 9am-11am with KSU at 11:30. Escorted ride by the LCSO. Registration fee is $15 per person. Proceeds benefit Purple Heart recipient Chad Rozanski. The escorted ride will end at Gator Harley-Davidson where the band Rock Hard will be preforming on the Fran Haasch Stage from noon4pm. Full bar, food truck and vendors. Hello and welcome to February here in Florida! The weather doesn’t seem to know what to do but at least it’s not snowing like the rest of the USA. We have a lot going on in the next few months so let’s talk about all the great events and bike nights happening. I hope everyone is having a better 2023 than we had in 2022, seems like 2022 kicked a lot of our butts and I, for one, am glad it is over. I hope everyone has a great month and remember, Valentines day is approaching so don’t forget the loved ones in your life!
First, let’s talk about our Anti-Valentine’s Day Poker Run called CUPID IS STUPID on Saturday February 11th. This year sounded like a good year for a ride like this, It will be an Anti-Valentines Day Poker Run and Singles Meet and Greet. When you register you will get a name tag with your name and if you are single or taken. We will have prizes at the end stop for singles and couples and of course the winners of the poker run will win money. We pay cash prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd best poker hands and of course the worst poker hand. We are starting at the Winghouse on Ulmerton Road and going to Time Out Sports Bar, Niagara Tap, Two Buks Saloon and then back to the Winghouse for the last stop and awards. I would like to thank Twinkie for helping set up this great ride. So, even if you are not single and are happily married, please feel free to come on this great poker run for a chance to win money and prizes. Bike Week is almost here!!!!! Bike Wee in Daytona Beach is my favorite time of the year! The weather is starting to get warm, bikers from all over the country flock to Daytona beach and Full Throttle is everywhere in Daytona. We are working on 7 Bike Shows in 7 Days this year. We always start
with our Kickoff Bike Show at the Pavilion at Teddy Morse Harley (Formerly Rossmeyer’s) This has been a great show with about 50-60 bikes every year! Then we are looking into shows on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday. If you are in or around the Daytona area and want to host a show please contact us as our calendar is open for those days and we usually bring a good number of people and bikes to our shows. Wednesday we are looking at a show back at the Daytona International Speedway! We hosted one every year in the past and now it is returning and will be on Wednesday March 8th. Our next show is Thursday night at the Grandview Live Adult Club. This is an evening show that starts at 8pm and ends around 1am. We have had some huge turnouts for this bike show and it is always a blast! Then of course the biggest bike show at Bike Week in Daytona Beach is the Boardwalk Bike Show on Friday. We will have anywhere between 150 – 200 bikes on the boardwalk. This is a huge show that has every kind of bike you can imagine from choppers to antiques to trikes and of course the beautiful baggers. We hope to see everyone in Daytona this year, we will have a booth at the Speedway handing out magazines and information about all of our shows and how you can advertise with full throttle magazine.
The Soaked and Sore Ass Poker Run is booked and we are going back to Islamarada! We had such a great ride last time we did this, and it was covid time so a lot of people missed it, that we are going back to the Keys! It is almost the same ride we did last time with a few different stops but we are ending at the Islamorada Brewery and Distillery again as it was a great end stop last time! I tried to get a hotel to work with us but they are very specific in the keys and needed blocked rooms and deposits and all that. So, book your rooms around Islamorada and look on Hotels.com. I am sure the next day most people will be going down to Key West and Spending the night like the Full Throttle Staff so I will work on a party location on Duval street for that Sunday night, stay tuned! You can pre-register for the ride also on our website. Go to www.floridafullthrottle.com and click the link for the soaked and sore ass poker run. Single riders are $40 and double riders are $80. Everyone gets a t-shirt, patch and certificate AT THE END STOP! You must make the end stop to get your prizes. If you don’t finish the ride, you don’t get the shirt, that’s what’s so great about this ride! YOU MUST FINISH and everyone on the ride will be the only ones allowed to get the shirt, it’s like a badge of honor to wear it and say you completed the ride.
