Happy New Year As the New Year begins, I wanted to discuss what most people are talking about today, interest rates and what may happen. Also how it impacts the normal person. If you are worried, you can’t enjoy riding your motorcycle. I think this a very important subject to discuss with an unpredictable environment. Also if you are thinking of buying that toy hauler, motorcycle or truck to haul them in, do it as soon as you, can rates are moving. Most of it will impact the average consumer dramatically and they are not aware of it. The Federal Reserve made history Dec. 16, finally raising the fed funds target range by 25 basis points to 0.25-0.50 percent after SEVEN years at the zero bound. We anticipate a gradual increase but steady, though not quite as gradual as the market is currently talking about. We expect three 25 basis point hikes in 2016 and another three in 2017, with the next hike likely to occur at the March 2016 Federal Open Market Committee meeting. Our analysis suggests the terminal rate in this cycle will be in the range of 2.5–3.0 percent, below the Fed’s estimate of 3.5 percent, which should help to keep 10-year Treasury yields under 3 percent. If history is a guide, stock markets typically experience an initial pullback of 5–10 percent in the months following the first rate hike in a tightening cycle. Historically, though, the S&P has ultimately performed well during recent tightening cycles, returning a cumulative 15 percent, on average, in the first two years of the last three years of the Fed increasing interest rates.( Information source Raymond James analyst division) Some people are concerned about their retirement accounts as the upcoming year may affect them very much. The

26

markets are not for everyone. Let me say that again. The markets are not for everyone. I work daily with Wall Street and Bond markets and I can tell you to consider what stage of life you are in and how long you have until you retire or need the money as well as your overall net worth. Unless you want to experience a real roller coaster ride. Me personally I prefer to save that for Disney or Busch Gardens or even snowmobile jumps. Not my retirement account. Historically the markets go in cycles and if history repeats itself, 2016 will be a real roller coaster of a ride. If you look back over the history of the stock and bond markets typically it has lost significant value and stayed down the entire year. All of us remember 2008, who doesn’.t right? Well the one thing I know for certain is that with an election year, Fed’s raising interest rates and the 7 year itch in the markets, economics dictates a correction in stock and bond markets. If you have a retirement account where you work. Get defensive about where the investment is and learn, learn and learn some more about your options. Using a defensive approach in a volatile economy will help you with the ups and downs in the upcoming New Year. If you think about it, it is common sense. When stock markets and the economy as a whole take a temporary turn downward or they are unpredictable as to what happens. The best defense is to preserve your money as much as possible while continuing to look for good opportunities. People only buy what they need in a crazy economy which in my opinion where we are headed; at least temporarily. So here is a tip: “I look for investments that will reflect my goals, short-term and long-term, as opposed to short-term volatility”. This is my world, if you don’t understand what may happen in the upcoming year, I can help you look at what you have and make some sound decisions. If rates go as predicted, the average consumer applying for a home may be priced out of the market. That new bike or hauler may cost you more to finance, so another typical rule of thumb is it is great to finance something but make sure you are making more money on your money than the cost of the credit. If you can move your retirement account to your own name, this is a must. If you are over 55 you must protect yourself we are headed for some ups and

some downs. It took us 8 years to recover from 2008. Ask yourself the simple question; do I have 8 years to recover from a floundering economy again? The other thing I ask people is; What is your exit strategy? What do I want to do if I can’t or don’t want to do what I am doing now for income. Look at how to provide for your family’s financial health Ask yourself these questions and play defense. Every morning when I box I have to make sure I am protecting my face with one hand and hitting with the other. Same thing in life and in your financial situation. Go for maximum return (the punch)but protect that hard earned money (the guard) on the downside and protect your business with certain hedge strategies. Make sure you let someone like myself look at your investments or retirement accounts for that guard and maximum return. Hello again Michelle Osborne here. I have worked as a financial advisor over the years helping people achieve greater income to fulfill their dreams. I’ve had clients have come to me confused and lost, not knowing where their money is or what it is earning. I’ve been able to simplify their financial picture and give them more income. Most people do not realize the risks in the markets or low paying instruments such as bank CD’s. Even with savings accounts you are losing money everyday. If you’ve been using savings, investments or retirement accounts to live off or make major purchases we need to talk. I have been able to show people the use of leverage to increase their income. Most people are unaware of their options and what’s available to make their lives easier. You’ve worked too hard to earn what you have. Let me show you how to make the most of your money. Happy New Years! Hope it's a better one for me this year. The last couple of years have been rough on me. I hope everyone has a better year then I have had these past few years. The bike build-off is coming soon, I think it will be better than before. Daytona is coming up, Full Throttle has the Broadwalk now, I understand it's the biggest bike show in Daytona. Rat's Hole isn't doing good since Big Daddy has passed, so I guess we have the best show in Daytona, so everyone tells me! Make sure you check out Full Throttle Magazine for all our upcoming events. I would like to remind everyone about the school buses again. Please tell your kids to stay clear of the doors, keeping their arms and book bags clear of the door when closing. Also would like to give a shout out to Brittany....See you soon Brittany

Two guys were roaring down the road on a motorcycle when the driver slowed up and pulled over. His leather jacket had a broken zipper, and he told his friend, “I can’t drive anymore with the air hitting me in the chest like that.” “Just put the jacket on backwards.” His friend advised. They continued down the road but around the next bend, they lost control and wiped out. A nearby farmer came upon the accident and ran to call the police. They asked him, “Are they showing any signs of life?” “Well,” the farmer explained, “the driver was until I turned his head around the right way!” ***************** A mechanic was removing a cylinder head from the motor of a motorcycle when he spotted a well-known heart surgeon in his shop. The surgeon was there waiting for the service manager to come take a look at his bike. The mechanic shouted across the garage, “Hey Doc can I ask you a question?” The surgeon, a bit surprised, walked over to the mechanic working on the motorcycle. The mechanic straightened up, wiped his hands on a rag and asked, “So Doc, look at this engine. I open its heart, take valves out, fi x’em, put ‘em back in, and when I fi nish, it works just like new. So how come I get such a small salary and you get the really big bucks, when you and I are doing basically the same work? The surgeon paused, smiled and leaned over, whispering to the mechanic.....” Try doing it with the engine running!” **************** An old scooter tramp rode his chopper up to an ice cream parlor, hobbled inside & painfully sat on a stool & ordered a banana split. The waitress wrote down his order & asked “crushed nuts”? No, he replied, Damn hemorrhoids! **************** A husband and wife are trying to set up a new password for their computer. The husband puts, “Mypenis,” and the wife falls on the ground laughing because on the screen it says, “Error. Not long enough.

On the way he says, “Let’s take my shortcut and go down this alley. We’ll be there in no time.” The little old lady looked him over cautiously then said, “I am a lonely widow without a husband to defend me. How do I know that when we get in the alley you won’t hold me up against the wall, pull up my skirt, and ravish me?”

First we have to make sure he is dead.” There is silence, then a gun shot, then the man comes back on “Okay, what now?” ***************** A biker stops by the local Harley Shop to have his bike fi xed. They couldn’t do it while he waited, so he said he didn’t live far and would just walk home. On the way home he stopped at the hardware store and bought a bucket and an anvil. He stopped by the feed store/livestock dealer and picked up acouple of chickens and a goose. However, struggling outside the store he now had a problem: how to carry all of his purchases home.

While he is scratching his head he was approached by a little old lady who told himshe was lost. She asked, “Can you tell me how to get to 1603 Mockingbird Lane?” The biker said, “Well, as a matter of fact, I live at 1616 Mockingbird Lane. I would walk you home but ****************** I can’t carry this lot.” The old lady suggested, “ A child asked his father, “How were people “Why don’t you put the anvil in the bucket, carry the bucket in one hand, put a chicken born?” So his father said, “Adam and Eve under each arm and carry the goose in the made babies, then their babies became adults and made babies, and so on.” The child other hand?” “Why thank you very much,” he said and proceeded to walk the old girl home. then went to his mother, asked her the

A man is stranded on a desert island, all alone for ten years. One day, he sees a speck in the horizon. He thinks to himself,”It’s not a ship”. The speck gets a little closer and he thinks,”It’s not a boat”. The speck gets even closer and he thinks,”It’s not a raft”. Then, out of the surf comes this gorgeous blonde woman, wearing a wet suit and scuba gear. She comes up to the guy and she says,”How long has it been since you’ve had a cigaretteT’”’Ten years!”he says. EVERYWHERE EDDY here wishing you a HAPPY NEW YEAR! 2015 was a good year, but also a sad year for me. April was my first page in Full Throttle Magazine and I’ve enjoyed every issue since. Sadness came as I saw five good friends pass on, but I gained many new friends over the year. I had some great times on the road including my third trip to Sturgis where I witnessed the wedding of my good friends Joe Pep and Tana Hernandez, oh and I finally found WALDO…right on Main Street! A few weeks after returning home I heard the news of the fire that destroyed the Full Throttle Saloon and then a few months later, fire destroyed the Porpoise Pub, a great biker venue here in Seminole, FL. Well, 2016 is here now and I’m looking forward to returning to the many Bike events throughout Florida and spending more time on the road this summer up north and out west! So look for me and say hi and let’s get that ‘selfie’ together! Here’s to a great 2016, oh and this November get out and VOTE, let’s get America back on track! Remember Keep Those Knees to the Breeze and as always, Ride Safe!

We’re back and what a great year we’ve had! The Diva Angels Tampa Bay have been busy participating in poker runs and benefits throughout the area such as the ES Leathernecks Poker Run, the Amvets Post 44 8th Annual 9-11 Ride, the Cookson Hills Toy Run and the Jim’s Memorial Toy Run just to name a few. We also had a blast working Beer Truck #1 for the Ribfest as we do each year. Also, Fran Haasch was kind enough to invite our fearless leader, Robin and Sandy to Sturgis this year with her group and it was a trip of a lifetime for both of them! We’ve also helped a lot of organizations and this year a couple of them really stood out for us. The first one was Steve Chamberland’s 50 Legs organization. We worked their event at Quaker Steak and Lube as well as their 50 Legs Golf Classic. The 50 Legs organization help amputees with the necessary care and prosthetics that they could not otherwise afford, to help them live a happier and healthier life, to advocate for amputee's needs for proper prosthetics and foster public education and awareness. Check out their website at http:// www.50legs.org/ Another wonderful organization we stumbled upon is The Kind Mouse Productions. Their mission is to assist families in transition and their chronically hungry children. No hardworking individual should

ever feel despair due to economic hardships beyond their control. The Divas spent a Saturday morning packing “Mouse Nibbles” for the kids, also a few of us attended the 3rd Annual Kind Mouse Mousequerade which was so much fun and lots of money was raise for the kids! Check out their website at http:// www.TheKindmouse.Org Lastly, we had our annual Holiday party and it was so much fun! We also went caroling at Sable Palms in Largo and went on our annual New Years Day ride to see the Manatees. We’re looking forward to volunteering at the Full Throttle Bike Expo at the end of January, so make sure you come out and see us. We’ll be the one’s selling raffle tickets!! If you are interested in learning more about our organization, we meet on the 2nd Tuesday of each month at Quaker Steak Lube in Clearwater (5:30-7 social meet & greet). You can also find us every 3rd Wednesday at the best Bike Night ever at QS&L. Please check out our website www.divaangels.org and find a chapter near you or visit us on Facebook! Ride safe! BIKER BARBERS!!! This month I had the pleasure of interviewing the owner of VENICE BARBER SHOP AND OLDE VILLAGE BARBER SHOP, JEFF STRODE www.venicebarbershop.com Jeff WAS a truck driver for 15 years (from Illinois) who wanted a change as he told his barber. He went to school to become a barber and worked for this same shop in Rock Falls, IL! Meanwhile, his young son (Kyle Strode) was learning to ride the same bike he learned to ride (1974 Honda CL-125). Jeff kept it just for that reason! How cool is that! Skip ahead a few years and he opened up his own barber shop in 2005 (originally est. in 1956). OLDE VILLAGE BARBER SHOP 460 W. Dearborn Street Englewood, FL 34233 (941) – 473-8696 It was such a success, so he ventured out and opened up a second barber shop in 2009. His son, KYLE, moved from AZ to FL to follow in his father’s footsteps a year later (2010). VENICE BARBER SHOP Courthouse Plaza (right across from the RaceTrac gas station) 3956 Tamiami Trail South Venice, FL 34293 (941)-493-6400 Jeff and Kyle run the VENICE BARBER SHOP (they are barbers too!), and Jeff Luggar is a barber there also. 56

Mike Kelley and Marcia Mann are the barbers in the OLDE VILLAGE BARBER SHOP along with Toni Rella. At the VENICE BARBER SHOP OR OLDE VILLAGE BARBER SHOP, they offer TRADITIONAL MEN’s haircuts, hot lather neck shave, shoulder massage…A TRADITIONAL OLD- STYLE MEN’S BARBER SHOP from FADES to FLAT TOPS, TAPERS, and all STYLES of MEN’s haircutting! One of their products is Wild Root (old fashioned cream oil). Sit back in one of their 1940’s barber chairs and tell Jeff, Kyle, Mike, or Marcia about your ride! They will listen with joy and understanding cuz they’re the BIKER BARBERS! But how did they become the BIKER BARBERS? Jeff and Kyle are originally from Illinois. Jeff was always interested in motorcycles because his dad liked bikes. So Jeff passed his love of all things on two wheels to Kyle. Kyle’s inspiration is his dad, Jeff! His greatest achievement is his 8 month old son, Joshua. Joshua took his first “ride” when he was 6 months old (NEVER TOO YOUNG TO START!)… So it will be three generations of BIKER BARBERS! Jeff and Kyle agree that they like THUNDER BY THE BAY and LEESBURG along with Full Throttle’s Wednesday Bike Night at Quaker and FULL THROTTLE’s MOTORCYCLE EXPO are some of their favorite bike events. Their future plans are to

KEEP GROWING! And maybe to be a little more website-friendly! Describe yourself in 3 words… Jeff – Hardworking, Loyal, Family man Three things you love? Kyle – FAMILY, I love my JOB! And I love my MOTORCYCLES! (Kyle has several bikes and some customs too built by none other than WESTON DAVERN CHOP SHOP! (941-759-0100). Weston builds some incredible bikes!!!) Kyle built the green bike that was in The Horse Backstreet Chopper magazine (Daytona – March, 2013)!

he learned to ride! How cool is that! Kyle kept that same 1974 Honda CL-125 for Joshua so he could learn to ride. AWESOME!!! Kyle’s favorite bike is a HarleyDavidson. Kyle wants to say that if you’re one of their customers and have strayed off for any reason, or if you’re new in town, come on in! You’ll like the service because we’re the best in town!

HEY, GUYS! Next time you want to get a haircut, why don’t you come to the ONLY BIKER BARBERS IN TOWN AT THE VENICE BARBER SHOP OR THE OLDE VILLAGE Both Jeff and Kyle dis-like backBARBER SHOP! It’s the only place stabbers! where you can talk to your barber about your prized possession… When answering the question your ride! “What are your biggest regrets?, I really loved Jeff’s answer which was “you can’t re- *A VERY SPECIAL NOTE: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO KYLE STRODE WHO TURNS 34 ally think that way because everything happened ON JANUARY 25 AND JEFF for a reason to get you STRODE WHO TURNS 56 where you are today…it was ON JANUARY 26! ONE DAY set in motion so just go with APART! it…” HAPPY BIRTHDAY, KYLE AND Kyle’s answer was, “IT IS JEFF!!! WHAT IT IS…” (I love that an(AND MANY MORE!) swer too!) To quote Marlon FROM: FLORIDA FULL Brando, “Regret is useless in THROTTLE MULTI-MEDIA life. It’s in the past. All we and Nancy, your rep! have is NOW…” Til next issue, Nancy p., Full Throttle rep. What was your first bike? Jeff had a 1974 Honda Ride Safe CL-125 which he learned to ride. He kept the Honda and RIDE WHENand when EVER YOU CAN! The 18th Annual Full Throttle Teddy Bear Run started at Tampa Harley and Rode over to St. Joseph's Children's hospital in Tampa. This is the only motorcycle toy run that goes to the Hospital this time of the year. We had a nice turn out and everyone brough toys and made cash donations. We ended up handing the hospital over $600 in cash and every child that was outside left with multiple toys and two full bins of toys for the kids who could not make it down to visit with all the bikers. If you have never been on this ride, unlike all the other toy runs, the kids are outside the hospital and you can meet them and give them toys directly. We would like to thank LAMA Brandon and LAMA Tampa for their continued support over the years and we would also like to thank Attorney Fran Haasch for helping make this ride happen. Thank you to everyone who showed up and rode and to Michelle Osborne who also made a significant cash donation to the Hospital.

This year the Suncoast Brotherhood 35th Annual Toy Run had probably one of the largest crowds they have ever had and easily one of the largest rides of the year in the Tampa Bay Area. At press time we heard around 3,500 bikes were on this ride and who knows how many people. All I know is the bikes kept pouring into the American Legion post 275 in Dunedin and the place was swamped. The Toy pile, when I left, was up to my waist and people were still

walking up with toys in their hands. This was a great ride and We love being a part of it every year! Congrats to TJ and the entire group of Suncoast Brotherhood and every who helped put the run on and everyone who rode in the ride. It was a great turn out! Tony Cianci
