Happy Birthday America!!! Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays because it means warm weather, sitting pool side, eating hot dogs and burgers, partying with friends and watching fireworks! It also makes me proud that I live in the greatest country in the world! My son is currently deployed on an aircraft carrier in the Middle East making sure that we are able to swim in the pool, eat hot dogs and celebrate our country’s birthday. I am very proud of him and pray for his safe return everyday. That said, Happy Birthday America !! Last month was a super-busy time for us here at Full Throttle with our annual Sore Ass Run to Key Largo, Bike Night at Bright House Field and numerous bike nights at QS&L, Lagerheadz, Dale 1891, Kahuna’s, Peggy’s Corral and others. One other event wasn’t as fun .... Bob Fletcher’s funeral had an amazing turnout and was something I will not soon forget. Bob was a great man who led quite a life. Please take the time to read about this huge turnout in this edition. Full Throttle was lucky to meet one very interesting man last month. Bob Gill was Evel Knievel’s equal (better in many ways) when it came to long jumping motorcycles. Bob had a terrible accident and is confined to a wheelchair but that hasn’t stopped him from leading a very active life. You will want to read his article and watch our interview with him on www.FullThrottleVision.com. Make sure you join us on July 7 for our Christmas In July Toy Run. This is a fantastic run that enables you to actually talk to the children and their families. St.Joesph’s Hospital needs our toys and contributions and I beg you to take part in this run. I want to wish Tony and Tonya a long and happy life together as they “tie the knot” on July 22. I will be happy and proud to welcome Tonya and her son Tyler into our family. We all ready love them dearly and we are excited for the wedding! Have a great month everybody and remember to always watch the weather because we get numerous storms almost every afternoon!
July is here and in Florida, that means that the rainy season has begun. Debbie showed up last month and dropped tons of rain on the state of Florida making it almost impossible to ride for at least half of the month. Could you imaging running into 3-4 feet deep water on a bike?! I have been looking at the numerous calendars of events for the month of July and even events are few and far between this month and in August as well. That just means when you see the sun, grab your rain gear and jump on the bike. When it starts to rain, pull over and wait it out…..you all know the phrase here in Florida….If you don’t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes and it will change. Be careful out there riding and make sure you have your rain gear handy or pull over when it starts. July 7th is the Annual Full Throttle Christmas in July Toy Run Sponsored by Attorney Fran. M. Haasch. We are starting at the place we have started at for the past 4 years; Tampa Harley-Davidson on Dale Mabry Hwy. Registration is from 10am-12noon with kickstands up at 12noon sharp. The fee this year is a little different than in years past; it is $10 and/or a new unwrapped toy. St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital does all it can to get as many kids outside waiting for us when we pull up on our bikes and their faces light up when you walk up and hand them a toy. The ride from Tampa H-D to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital is maybe 10 minutes long so we do our best to block the lights and/or stop at them at the front of the pack. It’s a great ride that ends when you pull away from the Hospital and leaves the rest of the day for you to ride and do what you want! We are looking for at least 125-150 bikes to be on this years ride, so please pass the word along and bring your friends! For more info call us at 813-814-1424 or to make a donation. If you read a certain person’s article every month, you might notice it is missing in this month’s issue. Classic Bike Ramblings and, Bob Demoss, wrote a quick little something letting people know what he has been up to with the repair and refurbishing of his yacht and the bad weather that came through and has put him well behind schedule. So I talked to him and we decided to take this month of writing the article to get it all ready for the August issue. This month Full Throttle was able to do a few recaps that were very necessary to see in the magazine. Bob’s Article will be back and better than ever in next month’s issue. This month we did a few recaps that you can also see more pictures of online on our website at www.floridafullthrottle. com or on our Facebook page search – Florida Full Throttle. Some of the things we recapped in this month’s issue are Bike Night at Brighthouse Field, The Bob Fletcher Memorial Ride, The Soaked & Sore Ass Poker Run and A great story about Bob Gill “The Florida Flyer” who jumped motorcycle and was a daredevil like Evel Kenevil, but didn’t us landing ramps. Last, and MOST CERITIANLY not least, I am getting married on July 22nd to my beautiful Fiancé Tony Lynn Jenkins who almost everyone knows from tending the bar at Quaker Steak and Lube for almost 8 years. I am a very lucky man to have found such an amazing woman like this. She loves to watch sports, likes going on long motorcycle rides and has a great heart. I am also gaining a step-son Tyler who is a great baseball player and all the kids get along great. We are planning a big party after the wedding “probably at Quaker Steak & Lube” in August sometime and we will make sure everyone knows when and where it will be to stop by and say hi, we hope to see you all there. I would like to wish everyone a Happy 4th of July and a Happy Birthday to everyone who has a birthday in the month of July like: Kevin Burke, Art Koch, Minh Mai, Al Wildt, Justin Weber, Scott Armstrong, Garth Armstrong, Rhett Jones, Diane Westenberger, Nickie Lee, Chopper Steve, Teresa Ackerman, Robin Williams and Kris Olivera.

Classic Bike Ramblings It's almost amazing. It's been 4 years of Classic Bike Ramblings without missing an issue. And to think I have amassed 67 loyal readers in that time. Well, all strings must come to an end and sometimes there is just not enough genius to go around my friends. As you all know I have been working on my Conga/Mirimba skills for my international tour and doing fund raising for my search for extraterrestrial life and my good readers if you think restoring a motorcycle or car is a time consuming, money eating venture then try a restoring a 1972 53 foot Hatteras Motor Yacht. Desperado and I have been a team since 1985 when I finished the Titanic project and bought her in the Virgin Islands, and together we have been to Boston and Galveston to Jamacia and all the Islands to Belize and "up the river" to Louisville Ky. But we have been in the boat yard doing a "refit" for the past 8 month$ and we are on the last two month push and running outa time and money, so my 67 loyal readers there will be no epic July article and I don't think it will be missed, but I do have to thank Tony and Paul for giving me so many pages to write about non-motorcycle events.......it's really been a blast, considering I had never written a word till they gave me a chance (bought all my college term papers!) We are hoping for a late July launch (thanks TS Debby) and if there's enough interest in me returning, we will "Tune in and Turn on" to some more history my hip cats and kitties. Remember we are making history everyday................................ Mr 500 aka Robert De Moss Dick, Rick and Paula - New Haaaaaampshires biggest Florida Full Throttle fans!!!!

Bob Gill is a one-of-a-kind individual! He started as a motorcycle racer but made his fame and fortune by jumping cars, busses, a fleet of Ryder Trucks and canyons on his bike .... without the use of a landing ramp! Bob was often compared to Evel Knievel and actually owns many records that Evel doesn’t! He was known as “The Flordia Flyer” respected worldwide and jumped in front of tens of thousands of people. Today, Bob is confined to a wheelchair but is still a biker! Since his accident, he has ridden across the country and is putting another cross country run together as we speak! His passion (along with riding motorcycles) is to get states across America to bring all handicapped parking spaces, ramps and bathroom facilities up to code. “The rules used today were all made by people who walk on two legs. They need to be written and updated by somebody in a wheelchair and I think I can be that guy,” Bob said. I first met Mr. Gill at The Salvation Saloon Church service on Sunday June 17. The church obtained one of his original motorcycles and presented it to him that day. It was a very touching event and I was greatly impressed with both the church and Bob’s speaking abilities. Full Throttle did a one-on-one interview with Bob Gill and it will run July 7 on www.FullThrottleVision.com. If you miss it, you can see it “on demand” starting July 8 on the FTV website. During the interview FT editor Tony Cianci and myself sat down with Bob and talked about his fascinating life. Trust me, it is one great story! Do yourself a favor and “google” Bob Gill, you will be shocked at all the things this man accomplished! Thank you Bob for the interview opportunity and good luck in your future! by Paul Allen

The one fact of life is that everybody dies. The difference is what you do when you are alive and Robert John Fletcher did a lot! Bob was born on December 19, 1921 and passed away June 9, 2012. During that time, he touched thousands of people’s lives and did more than most of us could ever imagine. While in high school he married Lucille York and they stayed together his entire adult life. When Bob was young, he enlisted in the Air Force but was told he couldn’t fly because he was slightly color blind. He ended up in the Army and drove a tank in World War II under General George Patton. Bob rode a motorcycle since he was a teenager and being a biker was always in his blood. He has ridden from coast-to-coast, east-to-west, north-to-south and everywhere in between numerous times. Most of you know Bob from his Harley-Davidson dealership in Clearwater but there is much more to this interesting and complex man. He was an accomplished pilot and flew often, he was also a very good motorcycle racer. I highly suggest stopping by Fletcher’s Harley-Davidson and purchase a copy of a book written by Jack L. King titled, “The Life and Times of a Harley
Davidson Motorcycle Enthusiast”. It is Bob Fletcher’s biography and one hell of an interesting book! Mr. Fletcher’s funeral was amazing. The weather was perfect and an estimated 600+ motorcycles made the ride from U.S. Highway 19 in Clearwater to the Moss Feaster Funeral Home and Cemetery in Largo. The ceremony had a serious, religious side as well as a biker feel with a slide show that projected highlights of his life. Bob looked peaceful in his casket and everybody in the chapel would gladly agree to do what Bob did ... live 90+ years, do everything you desired to do, have a loving and caring family and touch thousands of people in a positive way. RIP Robert John Fletcher you will be remembered as a great American, a hard working guy, a wonderful family man and a Harley-Davidson biker! by Paul Allen

********************* Three little boys were concerned because they couldn’t get anyone to play with them. They decided it was because they had not been baptized and didn’t go to Sunday School. So they went to the nearest church. But, only the janitor was there. One little boy said, “We need to be baptized because noone will come out and play with us. Will you baptize us?” “Sure,” said the janitor. He took them into the bathroom and dunked their little heads in the toilet bowl, one at a time. Then he said, “You are now baptized!” When they got outside, one of them asked, “’What religion do you think we are?” The oldest one said, “We’re not Kathlick, because they pour the water on you.” “We’re not Babtis, because they dunk all of you in the water.” “We’re not Methdiss, because they just sprinkle water on you.” The littlest one said, “Didn’t you smell that water?” They all joined in asking, ‘Yeah! What do you think that means?’ “I think it means we’re Pisskopailians!

There I was sitting at the bar staring at my drink when a large, trouble-making biker steps up next to me, grabs my drink and gulps it down in one swig. “Well, whatcha’ gonna do about it?” he says menacingly, as I burst into tears. “Come on, man,” the biker says, “I didn’t think you’d CRY. I can’t stand to see a man crying.” “This is the worst day of my life,” I say. “I’m a complete failure. I was late to a meeting, and my boss fired me. When I went to the parking lot, I found my car had been stolen, and I don’t have any insurance. I left my wallet in the cab I took home. I found my wife with another man... and then my dog bit me. So I came to this bar to work up the courage to put an end to it all. I buy a drink, I drop a cyanide capsule in and sit here watching the poison dissolve; and then you show up and drink the whole damn thing! “But enough about me, how is your day going?” *******************

Two old guys who are longtime friends get together and decide to put a big sign in the ground and it said, THE END IS NEAR TURN YOURSELF AROUND NOW BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE! As a car speeds past them, the driver leans out his window and yells, “Leave People alone, you old fart religious screwballs.” Then around the curve the heard a loud screeching noise and a big splash. One old guy says to the other, “Think maybe the sign should have just said “Bridge Out”?

Go upstairs and kill them both.” Being the loyal maid, she says, “Ok.” 5 minutes later she picks up the phone and says, “Ok, they’re both dead. What should I do with the bodies?” Husband says, “Throw them in the pool, and I’ll take care of them when I get home.” Maid says, “We don’t have a pool.” Husband asks, “Is this 555-1234?”

Every year Full Throttle Magazine teams up with the Clearwater Threshers and Bright House Field for Bike Night! This year was fantastic as the evening started off with a Greg Billings Band concert! After the band, we all rode our motorcycles onto the field and watched Attorney Fran Haasch throw a blazing fastball right over home plate with the game’s first pitch! Every biker received a free ticket to the game and a free drink at the Tiki Bar! There was a bike show (sponsored by the Threshers) who gave away $850 in cash and there was a poker walk that raised money for charity. The Threshers won the game and afterwards we were treated to a spectacular fireworks display! This is one of my favorite events of the year as we always have a fun time. Thanks to Attorney Fran Haasch, The Clearwater Threshers and Bright House Field for another great bike night! by Paul Allen

Strange how people get nick names. When I lost my finger, everybody started calling me 3 Finger Charlie or Charlie 3 Finger thanks to a guy named Mexican Joe. Another story is that I met a guy who was wearing a 3 piece suit and a New York overcoat. We got to talking and he found out that I wrote this article for this bike magazine. He told me that he always wanted to go to a biker bar and see what it was like. He had heard so many stories but was leery about it. He asked me that if I went with you would I not get into any trouble. I said that you have to get rid of that three piece suit and get yourself some jeans, a t shirt and some old boots. Then we will see what you look like. I figured that he might pass so I told him I don't drink anymore and they serve food at this one place I go to. They have good burgers, coffee and cold drinks. I said you are buying. It was real hard for the jewish fella to pay the tab. I said when we get there you don’t say anything to anybody, dont talk to anyone, if someone says hello, say hello back. Do not get into any conversations, you dont speak the lingo. So we got there and we ordered burgers and cold drinks and sat down away from the crowd in the bar. There was a friend of mine
at the bar drinking so I told the girl to buy him a beer on the Jewish fellas tab. When she brought the bill back he said, she put his beer on the tab. I said I told her to - just shut up and pay for it. So we ate the food and the girl asked us if we wanted anything else. I told her to bring some more cold drinks and buy the guy at the bar another beer. She brought back the tab and he said the same thing - I told him to just pay the tab, dont worry about. We were sitting there looking over the place and enjoying it. Suddenly at the bar a fight broke out and my friend was in the middle of it He put one guy out of commission and two more jumped on him. So he whipped them up and put all three of them out the door. As they were going out the door one of them said I am going to go get some help. And my friend said, bring your mammy and I will take care of her too. So when he came back inside he walked over to the table and apologizing saying sorry, they just wouldn’t leave well enough alone. Then he said who is your friend. I said we call this guy Jew Boy because everyone has nick names and I didn’t want to tell him his name was Louis. So the name seemed to have stuck 15 years later - in the biker community everyone still calls him Jew Boy - no offense meant to anyone. After he walked away, Jew Boy said to me, boy I am sure glad I bought that guy a beer. See you soon Colleen...

Young was sailing 40 miles off the Mexican coast when his boat was hit by a whale who put a hole in the side. That is 100% true when you are talking about Jenny McCarthy who will be on the cover of the July/August issue of Playboy Magazine. The gorgeous Jenny was “Playmate of the Year” in 1993 and she’s been on the cover five times!
Los Angeles Councilman Mitch Englander wants to ban all soft drinks purchases in city parks and libraries. Englander is the president of the local American Diabetes Association and worried about the amounts of sugar in each drink.
TAMPA SPENDINg BIg

The money is allocated for salaries, hotel rooms, body armor, radios, video link upgrades, surveillance cameras, temporary fencing, 200 police bicycles, gas masks, software upgrades, clothing and uniforms among other things!
HIgH TECH DOLPHINS The Miami Dolphins gave all of their players their playbooks during summer camp. The unique thing is the 2012 playbook now comes in the form of an i-pad! No more thick binder full of printed pieces of paper, the i-pad is sleek, slim and easy to carry. However, it comes with one small warning. If any player is caught installing YouTube, Facebook or Twitter on their i-pad they will be subject to a $10,000 fine!
SERIOuS AIR The International Air Guitar Championships will take place in Finland on August 24. The USA National Championships take place July 21 in Denver, Colorado. People take this competition seriously and there will be 24 countries represented in Finland.
BABY wITH BERRY = $$$$ Actress Halle Berry was ordered to pay $20,000 per month in child support for her 4-year old daughter Nahla. Berry’s ex-boyfriend Gabriel Aubry is fighting to keep Berry from moving his daughter to France where she wants to live with her new fiance.
NOT SHIA AT ALL All you girls will want to see the music video from the band “Sigur Ros” because actor Shia LaBeouf (Transformers and Lawless) goes full-frontal nude! LaBeouf said he liked the message the song has and wanted to be a part of it!
SODA IS BAD FOR YOu!! Last year American’s spent over $60-billion on soft drinks. The latest study says that soda pop is the number one health problem in the USA. The sweet drinks are loaded with sugar and acid. Not only do soft drinks ruin teeth, they lead to obesity and diabetes.
THAT’S ONE FAT CAT!!! A University of Houston report says that the “germiest” places in hotel rooms are light switches, TV remotes, bathroom sinks and bathroom floors. Make sure you bring disinfectant the next time you travel!

Quote - I love my job!! I am originally from Illinois, I spent most of my life working in a steel mill as a crane operator. I came to Florida 8 years ago to sell Harley- Davidsons. I worked at Gulf Coast Harley-Davidson for almost 7 years, and then the opportunity arose for me to work with Attorney Fran Haasch. I jumped at the chance. I have been Fran’s event coordinator for almost a year now. When you hear people talk about their dream job, this is mine, I love going to all of the events, seeing all my biker friends, and meeting new ones. I really like the fact that I work with one of the most caring, charitable people I have ever had the privilege of knowing, like I said I LOVE MY JOB. See you at the next event.....
