Tampa Bay attorneys John Della Costa and David Neville met while working at local law firms that operated with what they call the “Mill Mentality.” The goal of the “Mill Mentality” is to attract as many cases as possible and then push them through the legal system quickly. It was a volume business that produced great revenue for the law firms, but John and David always felt the clients weren’t getting the personal attention they deserved.

THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO GET YOUR FREE GUIDE*: 1) Visit www.ProLawUSA.com and click the download button

2) Call our office at In 2006 John and David decided to do things differently. They envisioned a law firm where clients could work directly with their attorneys – not paralegals, case workers, or assistants like they would at a typical “TV law firm.” They knew this approach would require them to accept fewer cases but they also knew it was the best way to serve their clients. Together, John and David created the law firm of Della Costa & Neville to provide clients with the personal service they felt was lacking in so many of the larger firms.

If you’ve been injured there are plenty of law firms out there eager to handle your case and it’s not always easy to tell the differences between them. That’s why John Della Costa decided to write Don’t Get Caught In The Mill! It’s an inside look at the way different law firms operate and is designed to provide consumers with the information they need to select the right attorney for their case. If you are a Florida resident you can get this book for free without any obligation.

Summer is finally here, yet it seems like we have been in it for months now! It is getting hot out there, so when riding be sure to drink lots of water and stay hydrated. You also might want to think about sunscreen. Just be safe no matter what you are out doing! We had a great time and an unbelievable turn out for our 17th annual Soaked & Sore Ass Poker Run on June 21st. We had over 200 people and this is the biggest it has been in the past few years. I am already looking for places to stop at as we are planning next year's ride to go back to PANAMA CITY BEACH!!!! Looking ahead we are planning the annual 5 bridge poker run in the August. Keep an eye out as this is a fun ride and goes over the skyway bridge. Our Annual Christmas in July Toy Run is right around the corner on Sunday July 27th. This year will be a little different. We are starting at Tampa Harley on Dale Mabry like usual and heading over to St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, but after we go to the hospital, we are riding over to the Tampa Yankee's Stadium to ride onto the field for the National Anthem. All the bikers on the ride will then receive a free ticket, food and drink and a free Tampa Yankee's hat to attend the game! We are very happy to be involved with the Tampa Yankee's and Tampa Harley-Davidson on this year's Toy Run. If you are going on the ride this year please remember the big kids also and maybe buy a video game or something 14-17 year old might like!! Be sure you go to www.lawfran.com and fill out as many chances as you can to win the FREE TRIP TO STURGIS that Attorney Fran M. Haasch will be giving away! On Wednesday night at Quaker Steak and Lube Bike Night one pair of winners will be chosen for a once in a lifetime trip to the Black Hills Rally in Sturgis South Dakota. Your bike will be shipped there via our great partner in this adventure, FreightCenter. You will also get two plane tickets and a hotel room while you are there. My wife Tonya Cianci and myself will be going as well to document your entire trip, take pictures and video so we can do a huge recap in the magazine and on our live webshow. We will be setting up rides to Needles Highway, Mount Rushmore, Deadwood, Devil's Tower and many more places!!! This is going to be my second time in Sturgis and my wife's first and we are very excited to be going and thankful to our great sponsors and friends that are making it happen: Quaker Steak and Lube, Rhett Jones and the Law Offices of Fran M. Haasch and FreightCenter. July is a great month as it will be my 2nd anniversary married to my amazing and beautiful wife, Tonya Cianci. July 22nd will mark 2 years we have been together and it has been amazing. Like all marriages, we have had our ups and downs, but that is what has made us closer together than ever! I love you beautiful, STRAWBERRIES!!! My youngest daughter also turned 9 years old at the end of June. I am so proud of her! She is so smart and is always saying amazing facts that I didn't even know. Love You Beanine! I don't want to forget Tyler, who has now grown taller than both of us and has a birthday coming up in August! Happy Birthday to everyone with a birthday in the Month on July. Be smart and ride safe, no matter what you ride! Don't drink and ride and I'll see you soon!

Summer time is in full swing and here in the back yard we have summer covered. As we roll into July more bikes than ever are on the road. We had a great ride through South Florida in June on the Soaked and Sore Ass Run. It lived up to its name as we had a long rides into the heart of Florida Gator country and the as we started up the East Coast we had a little rain. Had a great time at all the stops along the way. Our next ride will be the 5 bridges run. We ride across all 5 major bridges here in the Tampa area. What a great ride it is so stay tuned to Full Throttle

Hi All, I just sat down to write a little something about the past months happenings. In case you didn't make it out to the Soaked & Sore Ass Poker Run I am going to tell you a little bit about it. We started off bright and early in St. Petersburg and ended up in Cocoa Beach via around Lake Okeechobee. Anne and I had the 3rd stop at The Open Road Bar & Grill at 4313 Highway 70 in Arcadia. The bar just pops up out of no where because all that is really out there is cattle and their pastures! I will tell you this is a place you need to go and see. The owners of the bar enjoying seeing how far you came to see the place, they are part of the biking community and have a really great place to enjoy a burger and a drink. As I said the ride ended at Cocoa Beach and the only rain that came down was between the the 6th stop and the end! In July Anne and I are going on vacation....yes the one time of year I not working hahaha. On the way to Louisiana I will be looking out for some new stops for next years Soaked & Sore Ass ride - We will be stopping near Panama as part of our trip. I have a couple of new thing for you to check out....there is a new bike night at The Rum River Bar & Grill in Port Richey (the Tiki Bar at Catches) and its the 1st Monday of each month. Then there is Bourbon Street in New Port Richey too and that is being held Wednesday nights from 8 pm to 12am....comes on out there after Quaker. So mark your calendar and get out to see the new bike nights … till next mouth 'Live Life to the Fullest and party you’re a&& off' …Dew

42

Wow, the 2014 Soaked and Sore Ass Poker Run was one of the biggest we have had in the past few years! We pre-ordered over 175 shirts and we ran out of those quickly! We had over 200 people on this great 340+ mile ride that started in St. Pete and ended in Cocoa Beach at The International Palms Resort. It looked like it was going to be a dry day all the way, until that last stretch between Earl's and the Resort where a monsoon came in and soaked everyone living up to our name! Everyone seemed to have a great time and we enjoy putting this great ride on each year. We gave away over $1,100 in cash to our winners, and losers...hehehe.... With the best hand getting $500, 2nd place - $250, 3rd place - $150 and worst hand winning $100. Then we drew 5 people from the losers pile to give $20 each back!!! We always ask where to go the next year and take suggestions and I believe next year's trip will be back to PANAMA CITY BEACH!!!! We hope to see you all back again next year! By Chief Cupcake

This is the month that my niece Suzie has another birthday. I sure did enjoy her growing up – going places with her on my bike and doing different things. I told people about this before one of the better times I went to Ybor city one night when it wasn't popular and back my bike up stop and get coffee and watch cars going down the road. They would drive by and roll up their windows like we were going to get off our $15.000 bikes to steal their $100 fords. First time I took her there with me I made a sign that said nanny wanted for unruly child. When we got there I told her to sit on the seat, don't get off, listen to the radio and watch people go by. I got the sign out and put it on the windshield. People started waving and honking, she didn't know, and smiled and waved back having a good time. She finally got down off the bike and saw the sign – she pounded on me something awful. But I did get a couple of phone numbers...I teased her a lot and Christmas I gave her some old fashioned shoes that were 3 sizes too big – I told her I stuffed some paper in the toes. She beat me up again

44

and threw them in the garbage. Her mother went over to the garbage and started pulling the paper out, which was money. She got mad at me again. She got mad at me quite a bit but learned to have a sense of humor and then learned to dish it out herself. Like her school bus driver, take off before she had a chance to sit down – she fell in the aisle a few times. So she said enough was enough, when the bus driver, said there was a puppy ran under the wheels – the bus driver got out and she got in and sat down. The bus driver waited for her to sit down. This month is her birthday, she is married with kids, Happy Birthday Suzie. I don't know how many people know about art – we call him Arty. He is a real hard core biker, always riding old junker Harleys. One day a broke down guy came up to him and said I need something done. My wife works at the grocery store and I think she is fooling around with a guy there. I have a big insurance policy and if something happened to her, I will buy you a big Harley dresser. Being he didn't have the money he gave him a dollar with their agreement written on it, this is for the job I want you to do. He showed me the dollar and told me the story. I guess he did it cuz the headline in the paper said... Arty chokes 2 for a dollar at the grocery store...

H-D Invites Consumers to Ride, React and Shape the Future of this New Bike MILWAUKEE (June 19, 2014) – Innovation, meet heritage. Today, Harley-Davidson (NYSE:HOG) reveals Project LiveWire – the first Harley-Davidson® electric motorcycle. In keeping with the company’s customer-led product development approach, starting next week select consumers across the country will be able to ride and provide feedback on the bike, helping to shape the future of Harley-Davidson’s first-ever electric motorcycle. While not for sale, Project LiveWire is specifically designed for the purpose of getting insight into rider expectations of an electric Harley-Davidson motorcycle. “ America at its best has always been about reinvention,” said Matt Levatich, President and Chief Operating Officer, Harley-Davidson Motor Company. “And, like America, HarleyDavidson has reinvented itself many times in our history, with customers leading us every step of the way. Project LiveWire is another exciting, customer-led moment in our history.” Spurred by this heritage, the Project LiveWire Experience invites customers to test ride, provide feedback and learn more about the story of the motorcycle. Even those who don’t yet ride will have the opportunity to feel the power of Project LiveWire through Jumpstart – a simulated riding experience. A 2014 U.S. tour – kicking off with a journey down Route 66 – will visit more than 30 Harley-Davidson dealerships now through

the end of the year. In 2015, the Project LiveWire Experience will continue in the U.S. and expand into Canada and Europe. “This builds on many recent reinvention successes for Harley-Davidson.” said Levatich. “In just the last few years, we’ve broadened our reach to serve an increasingly diverse society, as well as reinvented our approach to product development and manufacturing. This has resulted in cutting-edge products like the recently launched Project Rushmore touring bikes, Harley-Davidson Street 500 and 750 models and this reveal of Project LiveWire.” An Innovative Approach to Advance the Possibilities of Personal Freedom This exciting new ride blends the company’s styling heritage with the latest technology to deliver a new expression of the signature Harley-Davidson look, sound and feel. “Project LiveWire is more like the first electric guitar – not an electric car,” said Mark-Hans Richer, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, Harley-Davidson Motor Company. “It’s an expression of individuality and iconic style that just happens to be electric. Project LiveWire is a bold statement for us as a company and a brand.” The bike offers a visceral riding experience with tire-shredding acceleration and an unmistakable new sound. “The sound is a distinct part of the thrill,” said Richer. “Think fighter jet on an aircraft carrier. Project LiveWire’s unique sound was designed to differentiate it from internal combustion and other electric motorcycles on the market.” Longer term plans for retail availability of Project LiveWire will be influenced by feedback from riders along the Project Livewire Experience tour.

“We offer a no excuses riding experience in everything we do and we are led by what our customers tell us matters most,” said Richer. “Because electric vehicle technology is evolving rapidly, we are excited to learn more from riders through the Project LiveWire Experience to fully understand the definition of success in this market as the technology continues to evolve.” Helping Preserve and Renew the Freedom to Ride for Generations. As riding in the great outdoors is one of the best elements of motorcycling, sustainability remains a core strategic focus at Harley-Davidson. “Preserving the riding environment is important to all of us,” said Levatich. “Project LiveWire is just one element in our efforts to preserve and renew the freedom to ride for generations to come. As a company that has seen success for 111 years, we think in generational terms about our great riding environments for the next 111 years.” Fans can learn more about Project LiveWire, as well as specific dates and locations for Project LiveWire Experience stops at projectlivewire.com. Harley-Davidson also invites anyone who is interested in the possibilities of the future to follow and engage with the company on its social media channels, including Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Harley-Davidson Motor Company produces heavyweight custom, cruiser and touring motorcycles and offers a complete line of Harley-Davidson motorcycle parts, accessories, riding gear and apparel, and general merchandise. For more information, visit Harley-Davidson's website at www.h-d.com.

At the gates, St. Peter told Arthur, “since you’ve been such a good man and your motorcycles have changed the world, your reward is, you can hang out with anyone you want in Heaven.” Arthur thought about it for a minute and then said, “I want to hang out with God.” St. Peter took Arthur to the Throne Room, and introduced him to God. God recognized Arthur and commented, “Okay, so you were the one who invented motorcycles, eh?!” Arthur said, “Yes, that’s me…” God commented, “well, what a big deal in inventing something that’s pretty unstable, makes noise and pollution, and can’t run without a road?!” Arthur was apparently embarrassed, but fi nally spoke, “Excuse me but aren’t you the inventor of woman???” God said, “Ah, yes.” “Well,” said Arthur, professional to professional, you have some major design fl aws in your invention. 1. There’s too much inconsistency in the front-end protrusion; 2. It chatters constantly at high speeds; 3. Most of the rear ends are too soft and wobble too much; 4. The intake is placed way too close to the exhaust; 5. And the maintenance costs are outrageous!! “Hmmmm, you may have some good points there,” replied God, “hold on.” God went to his Celestial super-computer, typed in a few words and waited for the results. The computer printed out a slip of paper and God read it. “Well, it may be true that my invention is fl awed,” God said to Arthur, “but according to these numbers, more men are riding my invention than your

Three guys were sitting in a biker bar. A man came in, already drunk, sat down at the bar and ordered a drink. The man looked around and saw the 3 men sitting at a corner table. He got up, staggered to the table, leaned over, looked the biggest one in the face and said, “I went by your grandma’s house and I saw her in the hallway, buck naked. Man, she is fi ne!” The biker looked at him and didn’t say a word. His buddies were confused, because he was a bad ass, and would fi ght at he drop of a hat. The drunk leaned on the table again and said, “I got it on with your grandma and she is good, the best I ever had!” The biker still said nothing. His buddies were starting to get mad. The drunk leaned on the table again and said, “I’ll tell you something else boy, your grandma liked it!” The biker stood up, took the drunk by the shoulder and said, “Damn it, Grandpa, you’re drunk! Go home!” ******************************************** A woman’s husband had been slipping in and out of a coma for several months, yet she had stayed by his bedside every single day. One day, when he came to, he motioned for her to come nearer. As she sat by him, he whispered, eyes full of tears, “You know what? You have been with me all through the bad times. When I got fi red, you were there to support me. When my business failed, you were there. When I got shot, you were by my side. When we lost the house, you stayed right here. When my health started failing, you were still by my side. You know what?” “What dear?” she asked gently, smiling as her heart began to fi ll with warmth. ”I think you’re bad luck.”

A woman is at home when she hears someone knocking at her door. She goes to the door opens it and sees a man standing there. He asks the lady, “Do you have a Vagina?” She slams the door in disgust. The next morning she hears a knock at the door, its the same man and he asks the same question to the woman, “Do you have a Vagina?” She slams the door again. Later that night when her husband gets home she tell him what has happened for the last two days. The husband tells his wife in a loving and concerned voice, “Honey, I am taking an off tomorrow so as to be home, just incase this guy shows up again.” The next morning they hear a knock at the door and both ran for the door. The husband whisperes to the wife, “Honey, im going to hide behind the door and listen and if it is the same guy I want you to answer yes to the question because I want to a see where he’s going with this.” She nods yes to her husband and opens the door. Sure enough the same fellow is standing there, he asks, “Do you have a Vagina?” “Yes I do.” says the lady. The man replies, “Good, would you mind telling your husband to leave my wife’s alone and start using yours!” ******************************************** The other night I was invited out for a night with “the girls.” I told my husband that I would be home by midnight. “I promise!” Well, the hours passed and the margaritas went down way too easy. Around 3 a.m., a bit blitzed, I headed for home. Just as I got in the door, the cuckoo clock in the hall started up and cuckooed 3 times. Quickly realizing my husband would probably wake up, I cuckooed another 9 times. I was really proud of myself for coming up with such a quick-witted solution (even when totally smashed), in order to escape a possible confl ict with him. The next morning my husband asked me what time I got in, and I told him midnight. He didn’t seem disturbed at all. (Whew! Got away with that one!). Then he said, “We need a new cuckoo clock.” When I asked him why, he said, “Well, last night our clock cuckooed 3 times, then said, “Oh, crap,” cuckooed 4 more times, cleared its throat, cuckooed another 3 times, giggled, cuckooed twice more, and then tripped over the cat and farted.”

HIGHLANDS PROFESSIONAL MOTORCYCLE TRAINING This month I had the pleasure of interviewing Tony Brown, Owner and Operator of HIGHLANDS PROFESSIONAL MOTORCYCLE TRAINING. They have two locations: PORT CHARLOTTE UNITED METHODIST CHURCH 21075 Quesada Ave. Port Charlotte, FL 33952 - 941-773-3972 SOUTHEAST HIGH SCHOOL 1200 – 37th Ave., East Bradenton, FL 34208 941-773-3972 STATE: Florida Rider Training Program 850488-3286 E-mail: FrictionZone@comcast.net www.hpmotorcycletraining.com Tony is also a Nationally Certified Rider Coach teaching people to ride (at last count over 8,000 students in the last 11 years!). Opened business when? I bought this company (July 1, 2003) when it was 7 years old. This July it will be eleven years! FACEBOOK? HighlandsProfessionalMotorcycleTraining Best way to reach you? Phone: 941-773-3972 Address: HIGHLANDS PROFESSIONAL MOTORCYCLE TRAINING CORP. I P.O. BOX 496305, PORT CHARLOTTE, FL 33949 Have you been in any other magazines? No, but I have been in local newspapers and local radio. TV Shows? No What made you interested in motorcycles? I rode dirt bikes as a kid. Have you done any work for “famous” people? Jerry Springer, Stephen Julius - owner of Chris-Craft, three or four Tampa Bay Buccaneers football players…I guess I’ve trained a few “famous” people…. Other types of media? No What do you offer? Motorcycle Training (Beginner (BRC) and Advanced (BRC2) Course) What do you charge per hour? BEGINNER RIDER COURSE (BRC): $200 BRC PORT CHARLOTTE = $230 BRC2 (Advanced) PORT CHARLOTTE) = $100 PRIVATE TRAINING = $50/hour MULTI-PERSON DISCOUNTS 2 day’s course (about 18 hours total with 12 hour riding and the rest is classroom) Where are you from? Maryland Tell me about your family? Very LARGE farm family…My Grandmothers were from a family of 11 siblings, so family reunions were like 400-500 people! They still are! So we would ride our dirt bikes to go hunting and ride on the farm also. When I was a Junior in High School, my father died in a car accident. Before then, I used to be quiet and introverted. After my dad passed away, I thought “that could happen to me and what would I care what someone thinks?” That changed my life…I still do care, but if it’s negative, I don’t have time for it. If it’s positive, then I’m all for it. So I became an extrovert! So what really was a sad event turned out to be a positive change in my life. I’m married (Wendy) and have one daughter (Tony Noel Brown). What made you think of the name? The business was already named when I purchased it. The original owners vacationed in Ireland…there was this particular region called HIGHLANDS. They thought it was so beautiful; they named the company after it! Who are the other employees? Nationally Certified Rider ¬Coaches Paul Fredrick: 30+ years riding experience He makes it a fun environment. He helps Tony up north. Warren Mezger: He excels in analyzing students riding abilities and helping with their motorcycle skills development. Kenneth Van Epps: Known for his PATIENCE, Ken is a great teacher to have for beginner riders. Hap’s Cycle Sales provides some of the motorcycles, and Tony owns the rest. When Tony bought the company, they already had Bradenton set up. Then he followed procedure and scouted out the land in Port Charlotte, found the church, measured the parking lot, got approval from the church in letter form, and then got the state

52

involved. This procedure usually takes about 2-3 months to complete. Once the state says “OK”, you have to paint your lines, and then the state comes back and gives their final approval. Once that’s set, you have your training course. What are your future plans? As much as I hate to say it, I’m kind of backing off to spend time with my daughter. I LOVE this job, but she’s more important! Ken is going to take the business over. She’s only 11, but with this business, I have all my weekends tied up. I want to spend time with her! I’m very proud of Noel because she’s an Honor Roll Student, plays piano, plays Boy’s Football (full pads and everything) and she knows how to ride a dirt bike already. You really have a different kind of school here. Explain how it’s different? I would have to say it’s the quality of coaching. Just like when you’re in school, some teachers are ok; some of them are outstanding even though they’re teaching the same subject. Students will say I’m patient. I don’t think its patience so much as understanding. I’m UNDERSTANDING. Mutual respect…I strive for that. There’s no sense of me thinking I’m better than anyone else. I tell all my Rider Coaches the same thing. Don’t DISRESPECT anyone, even though some students may disrespect you. Students may have something going on at home which is none of my business and that makes it hard to concentrate. I try to be understanding of that and that helps students get their mind back to learning what I’m trying to teach. Even if you drop your bike…lots of schools say, “YOU”RE OUT”. I say let’s get back on it and try again. At HIGHLANDS, they WANT you to succeed and want you to learn how to ride a motorcycle safely! The day I interviewed Tony, it was a private lesson in Port Charlotte. He is required by law to have a second Rider Coach if there are more than 7 students. He was teaching Hal how to be a Rider Coach also. Describe yourself in 3 words? UNDERSTANDING, PROFESSIONAL, RESPECTFUL Three things you love? My daughter, my wife, and this class. It is a passion for me. Three things you dislike? Boredom, being hungry, being too hot Why the motorcycle industry? When I moved to FL from CA, I wanted to open my own business. My friend was learning to ride. I took the course with him (even though I already had my license). I learned so much and had so much fun. At that point, the owners were selling the business, so it just “fell into my lap” so to speak… What is your greatest achievement? MY DAUGHTER! If you were starting over right now, what would you do differently? I would have started this company on my own (not bought it from someone else). Why Bradenton and Port Charlotte? When I bought the company, they already had Bradenton set up. I then added Port Charlotte (who charges me extra in fees). Tell me about your background? I was in the Air Force and taught Environmental Health and Safety classes, so that is where I got my start in teaching adults. Tony then continued teaching adults even after he got out of the Air Force for a total of 17 years’ worth of teaching experience; add to teaching 11 years’ worth of motorcycle classes, and that totals 28 years teaching! What is the most common mistake most new riders make? VISION…not looking where they should be looking. When the MSF first put this program together back in the ‘70’s, they consulted professionals around the world (not just in motorcycles, but professional racers of any kind) what made them the “best”. There were a lot of answers to this question, but one main theme throughout was VISION. What separates the regulars from the PRO’s is VISION, VISION, VISION. Anything else you’d like to say? It saddens me that I’m going to make this change in my life (EVEN THOUGH IT’S FOR A GOOD REASON!)…I LOVE what I do. I look to other Nationally recognized teachers or pro’s (just like the MSF did in the beginning)…what makes them so good at what they do? What can I learn from how they teach, etc.? There’s one simple rule I require all my coaches to keep in mind at all times: “people may forget what we say… people may forget what we’ve done… BUT PEOPLE MAY NEVER FORGET HOW WE MADE THEM FEEL!” In other news around my area: Check out these amazing PEOPLE and shops: COMBAT VETS ASSOC. ENGLEWOOD AREA: There were over 500 bikers at the Zachary S. Taylor Memorial Ride at Travis Taylor’s Busted Knuckle Shop in Englewood (June 13, 2014). The event ended with services commemorating Zeke’s very interesting life at Englewood Event Center. What a beautiful service it was! I was really touched by George McLain playing the guitar (long-time family friend) and by Travis’ words.
