First off, Happy 4th of July and Independence day to all of our readers and biker family! I hope you all have a great holiday weekend, remember to be safe and be smart around fireworks. June was a great Month for Full throttle as we hosted the Annual Soaked and Sore Ass Poker Run! We had around 160 people on the 300+ mile ride from Palmetto to Marathon Key. We gave back $1,300 to our winners and everyone on the ride got a shirt, completion certificate and patch. We made a decision that next year we will be going back to St. Augustine but we will do most of the traveling up the East coast of Florida. If you have never been on a Soaked and Sore Ass Poker Run you should really make plans for next year in June. It is always a great time and everyone who goes on the ride always makes new friends. July is going to be busy for Full Throttle as well as we will be traveling to Sharon Pennsylvania to host the Penn/Ohio Full Throttle Expo and the Original Quaker Steak and Lube. This will be our second expo we will be hosting outside of the state of Florida and for this event we were able to help book a national act, BUCKCHERRY! You all know their hit song, CRAZY B*TCH. This is a threeday event July 22nd through the 24th. The only problem is that it is the same weekend as our Christmas in July Toy Run that happens every year and starts at Tampa Harley, then where we go to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital and then to the Tampa Yankees Game after that. So my dad, Paul Allen, and original founder of Full Throttle Magazine will be helping us that weekend with the Christmas in July Toy Run. So be sure to buy your toys and show up on Sat. July 23rd for this great event. The hospital always has kids outside that you can meet and talk to and putting smiles on their faces is probably one of the best feelings in the world. They really love seeing all the bikers show up with toys and the loud bikes. All the info for the Christmas in July Toy Run is in this month’s magazine so please make sure to mark it on your calendar and attend. Our Biker Selfie page has been a huge hit and we are getting hundreds of submissions so far. Be sure to take a selfie, that is you holding the camera and everyone squeezing your face in for the shot, at bike events and either posting them on our Full Throttle Facebook page or sending them to me at tonyc@floridafullthrottle. com so we can get them in the magazine. We want to see you out there Everywhere so be sure to take those selfies and send them to us! We have a new promotion for bars and restaurants, or any place for that matter, that wants to have a bike night at your location. We have created Bike Night packages that start at $500 and go up from there where you won’t have to do anything and we will help host your bike night for you. For $500, our starting package, that will get you: A half page ad in Full Throttle Magazine, An Emcee for the evening, a DJ for the evening, 3 trophies for bikes of the night, 5,000 ¼ page flyers to hand out and full throttle Facebook promotion. Larger packages include live bands, bikini contests or a bikini bike wash, a stunt show and much more. If you are interested in this, please call us at 727-935-4875. We will host your bike night and you just do your normal business! Cotee River Bike Fest is just around the corner in the beginning of October so if you are interested in getting a vendor booth or would like to become a sponsor, get on that soon. This event is growing by leaps and bounds every year and this year is already starting out to be huge with Jack Russel’s Great White performing Saturday Night in Sims park. There are two stage, tons of great entertainment and much more on the way! Check out www.coteeriverbikefest.org for more info. Have a great month of July, stay cool out there and stay hydrated when riding. Be safe and be smart, don’t drink and ride and STRAWBERRIES & HAPPY ANNIVERSARY MY LOVE!

You should NEVER have to “Lay her Down” Here’s a story I heard recently. A group of four riders were cruising down a winding road in Georgia. A pickup coming the opposite way crosses the double yellow line and sideswipes the second bike in line. That rider goes down and begins sliding on the ground. The rider behind the rider that went down, (here it comes), says to avoid hitting the bike and rider sliding on the ground, he had to “lay her down”. He claims it was either that or hit the other bike and rider. What this guy is saying is he can steer better while sliding on the ground at 45 mph. Wait, it gets better. The last rider says he sees both bikes in front of him sliding on the ground, so he too must lay his bike down to avoid crashing into the two downed bikers in front of him. This rider also claims he can steer better and stop sooner while sliding on the ground. The actual reason people say such stupid things is that they don’t want to admit they screwed up. It’s that simple. By the way, all three riders had many years of “riding experience”. Now, let me dissect this crash and explain what really happened. I’ll talk about the two riders who “laid their bikes down” since the rider that was sideswiped was unavailable for comment. The first rider that went down wasn’t looking far enough ahead so it appeared the crash happened very quickly. Next, since he has never practiced emergency braking using both brakes, he panicked and over braked his rear brake, locking the tire. This caused the bike to slide sideways onto the ground. It was not something the rider did consciously. It was simple physics. Lock the tires, the bike goes down. Once the bike goes down, you absolutely can NOT steer it. The bike will simply slide in the direction it was going until it stops. Here’s a simple fact. You can stop in a much shorter distance with the bike up on its tires than sliding on the ground. Rubber on the road creates a lot more friction with the pavement than chrome and painted metal. So, what should this rider have done instead of crashing to avoid a crash? First, straighten up the bike and brake using both brakes. That will slow you down very quickly. Then, release the brakes and swerve around the obstacle you want to avoid by turning your head and eyes in the direction you want to go. As for the third rider, see the above. To be able to perform maximum braking without skidding the tires, you must practice exactly that. If you have ABS, it makes stopping quickly much easier. Just remember, even with ABS, you MUST first straighten up the bike to perform maximum braking. As for swerving, again, you must practice swerving. You do that under controlled conditions in a parking lot or a deserted road. You must practice for emergencies BEFORE the emergency happens. Do that and you’ll never had to “lay her down”. Till next month, get out there and practice. For more tips, tricks and techniques, log on to my website, www.ridelikeapro. com Copyright 2016 Jerry “Motorman” Palladino

WALL STREET RIDES 844-44WSRIDES - WallStreetRides.com

I thought it would be great to use a live example of someone we have helped over the years. The following story really touches my heart with a client and fellow rider I met about a year ago. I have changed his name and some of the numbers of the principal to protect our client but it is a very real client and I see this over and over again. John came in to my office and I spoke with him about a year ago. After our meeting I asked John to go home and gather anything that related to his financial situation and we would look at it on our next meeting. At the very minimum I would help him understand what risk he might be facing including not earning anything on his money or outliving what he had. John told meat our next meeting, that he had inherited some money and they were still in the accounts he had inherited from his family and was living alone with his children and grandchildren living all over the country but not here. He was living only on his social security and was barely getting by. When he did need money he took some from one of the accounts he inherited. He had not brought stacks of statements to me that he did not understand nor did he want to. He was retired and wanted to be riding his motorcycle or kayaking at the beach. John was very young for a 70 year old. He was kayaking every day, riding his motorcycle and venturing out to meet all his friends whenever he could afford to. I looked at John’s accounts that he thought he had about $350,000.00 in and quickly realized he had about $850,000.00 at the current market value of his investments. Most of his parent’s money had been invested in the stock and bond markets and over the years had grown significantly. He was not aware as most people are not as to how to read and value the information and it was at many different firms and banks. The other thing that jumped off the page was the risk he was taking in the type of investments they were in and like most the interest was accumulating in an account that was not giving him any interest. He also did not have a will, power of attorney or health care power of attorney so his family would have had a very difficult time in helping him if he needed it or if something happened to

him I also knew that we were in a cycle of the markets that would probably create a great loss for him in the types of accounts he was holding if we had a downturn in the economy The other thing that jumped completely off the page during my review was the enormous loss of income this man was losing. So I sat John down and we discussed his affairs and I explained in detail what he currently owned and how it worked. He had 10 different accounts. Last, I explained to John he would have only one account and that account would give him an income of over 5% for the rest of his life and pass directly to his beneficiaries at his death. I also explained he could decide how he could also name some of his beloved charities he wanted to receive monies at the end of his life. We also sent him to an attorney to have his will made and a power of attorney drafted in the event he needed it and guided him on how to make those decisions John was so very happy. After about a month, I called John back in to my office. I explained to John that he no longer had to worry about the markets or money He was so very happy. He had one account, one person to call with questions and never dreamed that he could get that much income. All of his affairs were in order and he now has a will, a power of attorney and peace of mind. I continue to get phone calls emails and little visits from John saying he was enjoying life so much more now. He would tell me of visits he could now take to visit his grandchildren and that when his daughter came to visit he took them all to Disneyworld or that he could go buy the seafood he loved or go out to eat whenever he wanted with his friends. This is what makes everything I do and all 30 + years in this business worthwhile.. Thank you John for also giving me the gift of knowing we changed a wonderful person’s life and touched your family in so very many ways. If you have a question you would like to ask us, never hesitate to call, no questions will go unanswered and all questions you have are important.. A young man saw an elderly couple sitting down to lunch at McDonald’s. He noticed that they had ordered one meal, and an extra drink cup. As he watched, the gentleman carefully divided the hamburger in half, then counted out the fries, one for him, one for her, until each had half of them. Then he poured half of the soft drink into the extra cup and set that in front of his wife. The old man then began to eat, and his wife sat watching, with her hands folded in her lap. The young man decided to ask if they would allow him to purchase another meal for them so that they didn’t have to split theirs. The old gentleman said, “Oh no. We’ve been married 50 years, and everything has always been and will always be shared, 50/50.” The young man then asked the wife if she was going to eat. She replied, “Not yet. It’s his turn with the teeth.”

A blonde called her boyfriend and said, “Please come over here and help me. I have a killer jigsaw puzzle, and I can’t figure it out or how to get it started.” Her boyfriend asked, “What is it supposed to be when it’s finished?” The blonde said, :According to the picture on the box, it’s a tiger.” Her boyfriend decided to go over and help with the puzzle. She let him in and showed him where she had the puzzle spread out all over the table. He studied the pieces for a moment, looked at the box, then turned to her and said, “First of all, no matter what **************************************** we do, we’re not going One night a man and a woman are both to be able to assemble at a bar knocking back a few beers. A bus full of housewives going on a picnic crashed with no survivors. Each husband cried for a week, but one husband continued for more than two weeks. When asked he replied miserably, “My wife missed the bus.” **************************************** A farmer drove to a neighbor’s farmhouse and knocked at the door. A boy, about 9, opened the door. “Is your dad or mom home?” said the farmer. “No, they went to town.” “How about your brother, Howard? Is he here?” “No, he went with Mom and Dad.” The farmer stood there for a few minutes, shifting from one foot to the other, mumbling to himself, when the young boy says, “I know where all the tools are, if you want to borrow one, or I can give Dad a message.” “Well,” said the farmer uncomfortably. “No, I really want to talk to your Dad, about your brother Howard getting my daughter Suzy pregnant”. The boy thought for a moment, then says, “You’ll have to talk to my Dad about that. I know he charges $500 for our bull and $150 for our boar, but I have no idea how much he charges for Howard.” **************************************** A while ago a new supermarket opened down the street. It has an automatic water mister to keep the produce fresh. Just before it goes on, you hear the sound of distant thunder and the smell of fresh rain. When you pass the milk cases, you hear cows mooing and you experience the scent of fresh mowed hay. In the meat department there is the aroma of charcoal grilled steaks with onions. When you approach the egg case, you hear hens cluck and cackle, and the air is filled with the pleasing aroma of bacon and eggs frying. The bread department features the tantalizing smell of fresh baked bread and cookies. I don’t buy toilet paper there anymore..

First of all, I would like to thank everyone who participated in our annual Soaked and Sore Ass Poker Run this year from Palmettoo to Marathon Key. This was quite a haul and everyone pretty much made it in time. There seemed to be no problems this year on the ride except a little rain around the Miami area. The stops were all great and very welcoming. We had an estimated 160 people on the ride and gave back $1,300 in cash prizes to the poker hand winners. 1st place won $600, 2nd place won $300, third place won $150 and worst hand won $150. We also pulled 5 - $20 winners from our (non winnners pile) of poker hands. At the last stop we decided that next years Soaked and Sore Ass Poker Run will be returning back to St. Augustine, FL. This is one of my favorite poker runs to put together and I am already making plans for next year's. Have a great summer, be safe and ride smart! Much love to all! Tony Cianci

Hi All, Just a few words about the month of June. My 18 year old son graduated from Dunedin High School this month! It is a good feeling to see your kid walk cross the stage to receive that diploma. He is going to a tech school to study boat and small engine repair. I am very proud of him. The Soaked & Sore Ass poker run was a great ride!! If you missed it you missed out on a fabulous day with very little rain!! It started at Popi's in Palmetto with 5 stops along the way to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Marathon. Our stop was in Islamorada at Hog Heaven Sports Bar and Grill. Its a nice place to stop that is right by the beach. On the way home Anne wanted to take some back roads and we drove along 41 and then found a dirt road that went up to 75. It was a long drive but we have a good time and saw some great back country swamp areas in the Everglades. Right after we got back Anne's friend called and asked us to drive up to North Carolina with her to look at some land she and her husband were thinking of buying. Another weekend covering a lot of miles, but it was a beautiful drive and we had a good time. So now its time to get back to work! We will be on the road again in July for the Penn/ Ohio Full Throttle and Quaker Steak & Lube event July 22 - 24. If you just happen to be on vacation that week and need something to do - come on out and see us!! Till next mouth Live Life to the Fullest and Party you A$$ Off .Dew

I finally got a chance to sit down with TODD JAECKAL of WILDMAN CUSTOMS 300 Seaboard Ave, Unit A 954-873-8218 E-mail: Wildman_todd@aol.com I say finally because I wanted to interview Todd when he was at THAT location in Nokomis back in 2013! Anyone can see that Todd(55) is a very personable fellow and would go out of his way for a friend in need (family, as Todd would say to all his customers). It was my very first interview conducted at a McDonald’s (thank you, Todd, for dinner!) because he had to go up and help a friend in need and didn’t make it back in time for our interview. Opened business when? 2013 Originally in Nokomis, FL FACEBOOK: WILDMAN CUSTOMS Best way to reach you? Phone 954-8738218 Have you been in any other magazines? Yes, LSD BIKER. What made you interested in motorcycles? Because my parents said I couldn’t have one! (Todd was named after a good friend of his parents who died in a motorcycle accident 6 months before he was born…). At only 12 years of age, he built his first electric motor! From then on, he was unstoppable! TV shows? AMERICAN CHOPPERS…Some very good friends of mine built a few bikes for the show., I was there right in the spotlight for the first one! What do you offer? Good work at a good price ($65/hr.) and a friendly atmosphere! And we always have monthly specials. What makes you different from most shops? We want to always make customers feel like part of our family! What made you think of the name of the business? It was a name that was given to me at a very young age, and it just stuck with me. I’m the ORIGINAL WILDMAN! Have you done work for any “famous” people? Everybody is famous in their own way!... Wow, that’s pretty neat ideology! Who are the other employees? Just TODD (the Coach) himself! He coaches wrestling. “I have been building things all of my life. I started out building furniture, then making motorcycles out of bicycles. To me, that’s just a part of life. When I can teach somebody else how to do something (wrestling), it really

56

makes me feel good, like I’ve accomplished something good! What are your future plans? Stay on the track we’re on and continue to build the family! Do you sell after-market products? YES, including some that we built for customers! You really have a different type of business than most shops… explain why? You don’t have to spend $50,000 - $100,000 dollars to buiold a custom bike…if you have a bike that you love to ride, but it isn’t quite just “yours”…come on in, sit down, and describe what you’d envisioned it to be (or we can come up with some ideas)! Describe yourself in 3 words? Intensive, Passionate, Fun Three things you love? My family, going FAST, bikes, cars, just going fast! Three things you dislike? Being lied to! I don’t care for it too much when I get on my motorcycle and endanger my life because people just don’t LOOK! And Liver! What is the future of the motorcycle industry? With all the bike builders out there and parts, innovation, speed and safety will wait til technology catches up…Then we’re going to see some very cool designs! Why the motorcycle industry? Because I like things that are cool to look at, and I like going FAST! What was your first bike? When I was 18, I had my first bike which was a Honda 754 hidden at a friend’s house! My parents wouldn’t let me have it at home! What is your overall favorite bike? MINE! 2003 Road King Screamin’ Eagle, CVO Gold What are you currently working on / building? 3 or 4 bikes in the shop that need typical maintenance (Brakes,Tires, oil change, etc.) What’s the most common mistake new motorcycle shops make? NOT listening to their customers! Anything else you’d like to say? COME SEE US! Stop by and look around…buy your girlfriend a T-Shirt! As I was interviewing Todd, it was apparent to me that this was a truly amazing, remarkable man! He really cares about his customers and LOVES what he does! I visited this amazing shop: GAINESVILLE HARLEY-DAVIDSON 352-331-6363 Til next issue, Nancy p., Full Throttle rep.

Hello from Anna Maria Island… OK first off…”I rode mine” now I can say that! Rode so long my husband came searching for me! I was hoping to make it all the way to Marathon for the “soaked and sore ass ride” but it was great just working one of the poker run stops part way ,everyone had a blast. But I learned when it says 10are…you guys really mean 9:15! Well this month started out badly for two Bikers. The incident where Joseph Calderazzo and his friend Melanie Milinkovich were run over intentionally during traffic altercation in Lutz Fl. The insurance will not cover most due to the criminal intent of the driver who drove his car over the motorcyclist. My boss Tony and Quaker Steak and Lube Clearwater hosted a benefit to help cover medical etc., it was nice to see so many turn out in the Biker community to support these two. I got a chance to sit down with this mild mannered single father of three teenagers, and Melanie mother of two about the incident. They were overwhelmed by the support of the entire community, not just us Bikers. It has been a hard month not being able to do his Technology job due to the medications he is on for the pain. She being out of work due to bulging and compressed disks. And a long road ahead. They had just come from a charity ride. Passenger Melanie Ann Milinkovich a longtime friend who likes to ride too and he were headed for dinner with two other motorcyclist .I asked them about the defendants statement of” being afraid of Bikers”…that one got me. He just laughed and said he felt like a normal person, nothing scary about him. He is a 5 foot 5 inches tall, smiling non intimidating person. His passenger Melanie also looks very innocent and non-threatening. I wondered about the other riders…who turned out to be just two other veterans who were not at all large or scary appearing either in my opinion. Is this just an excuse? Well yes…but a not a good one according to Melanie. We all remember the gangs and negative from the past, and yes we still have “clubs”…mostly I see them running selling tickets for a cause, or doing a benefit ride together. The only thing that stands out is maybe a matching vest or shirt. But these clubs are always doing things for others. If this counts as volunteer hours they have it cornered. They spend hours planning and riding

60

and throwing benefits to help every cause. It is what most of these clubs are about. I have experienced far meaner/ reactive people at a PTO meeting than from any of the clubs I have met. I have always volunteered in some way, doing a benefit motorcycle ride counts in my book too. I spent all last week out in the hot sun teaching 250 + cub scouts at Camp Flying Eagle (Bradenton) for five days (thanks to an understanding boss). The week before the Boy Scouts had all my attention. When I put on my leather and hop on my Bike…I feel no different, I am still going to have to bake cookies when I get home, run off to coach something or attend a meeting. Could anyone possibly be afraid of me for the way I look? I have asked myself that a few times. The whole “live to ride, ride to live”…sounds good on paper. But in reality we have jobs, kids/ grandkids, groceries to buy, a parent to go check on, bills to pay, lives. We have responsibilities. We are real people too. If someone can tell me how to ride all day, no work and still pick up my kids and take them to football I would love to know. Joseph and Melanie are normal people, he is a single father of three teenagers, one about to go into the Navy following his fathers footsteps, Melanie has raised two productive grown children .They are parents, who work, give back to many causes , and enjoy riding. No different than myself. Or any of those mean PTO people. What happened is tragic and both of them were injured beyond what the news reported. They would both like to bring awareness to the road rage aspect. And that Bikers are not scary, the man in the vest and sunglasses is your doctor, your banker your pastor, I have seen all of those things personally. The defendant in this case will spend years in jail, and Joe and Melanie years of physical reminders from this. Joseph said this just cannot be for nothing. He is not sure what he is going to do…but I expect you will hear more from these two. They have no ill will towards the man who ran them over. They said the man needed some help they hoped he would get. No one is looking for “Biker justice”…as I said they are a peaceful pair who just wants to go back to their normal lives. They have a “go fund me” to help with medical expenses and household. Teenagers are horribly expensive these days/.If you would like to donate please see our FB page for the links. Thank you again Tony for allowing me to continue what is most important (my kids, my husband, my community) and having faith “last minute Laurie Jo “will get it done! I always do! Please come out and to our July 15th Full Throttle Bike night at the Rays, meet some great people (I hope Joe and Melanie will be there) and dispel the reputation of “Scary Bikers”! Let’s ride, laurie

Wishing everyone a safe and fun 4th of July. It's INDEPENDENCE DAY and a long weekend to ride. While traveling, watch out for the 4 wheelers on the road. If you’re in the Tallahassee area stop by Tallahassee H-D and grab a hot dog, hamburger and a cold drink and meet the HARLEY GIRLS, KK, ASHLEY, MEGAN, BRITTNY, SHANNON and get a bikini bike wash. The 2nd Thursday of the month is BIKE NIGHT with vendors, food and beverages, live band and a drawing for a big flat screen TV. Register to win a new HARLEY to be given away in October at THUNDER BEACH in Panama City Beach. On the 2nd Saturday of the month it is BIKE NIGHT IN MONTICELLO, FL. sponsored by THE LAZY LIZARD PIZZA 64

COMPANY. Live music by BILL PANDOLTHI BAND, dancing in the street, vendors, food and beverages and drawings for door prizes and KEELHAULER will be there also. There is always something happening at SHUCKERS OYSTAER BAR on LAKE JACKSON. They will be having runs in Oct. for a family put on by the ROAD RUNNERS to help the family out. There is a lot happening in TALAHASSEE and I'm learning more every month. Until next month REMEMBER TO RIDE SAFE NO MATTER WHAT YOU RIDE. KEELHAULER
