I am sure you have all heard by now that Full Throttle Magazine will no longer be setting up at Quaker Steak and Lube for Bike Night, we are creating a BRAND NEW and IMPROVED Wednesday Bike Night at JOE’S CRAB SHACK on Gulf to Bay! They are very welcoming to the biker community and are looking forward to making it as big if not bigger than every other Wed. Bike Night Out There! They will be offering their food and drink special throughout bike night which means $2.50 beers and very affordable appetizers! But, I love those steam pots full of crab, corn, potatoes and shrimp!!!! One of the fun things we will be doing is HORRIBLE BIKER KARAOKE! Yes, you read that right. We want bikers to get up there and sing their hearts out, all the singers will be leaving with prizes, but the worst singer will win! Besides that, we have corn hole tournaments, water balloon tosses, bikes of the night and much more planned for bike nights and it will be new and fresh all the time! They have a huge outside patio and a great area for bikers with big shade trees! We will be mixing it up with bands and

IS EXPERIENCE THE BEST TEACHER? MOTORMAN’S TIPS TRICKS AND TECHNIQUES A couple of weeks ago, I was at a bike gathering at a local Harley Dealer when I struck up a conversation with a guy who was taking delivery of a new Anniversary Edition Ultra. The guy was into his mid to late 40’s and he tells me he’s been riding for 20 years and this was his 4th new Harley. He said he had a new Harley Ultra, but some clown turned left in front of him and he had to “lay her down”. The bike was a total and he had a broken leg which he said was now in good enough shape that he could start riding again. I then asked him if he had ever taken any rider training courses. He looked at me like I was crazy and said, “I’ve been riding 20 years, that’s enough training for me”. I then watched him as he duck-walked his bike around a U-Turn a Greyhound bus could have easily made, and then saw him drag his feet about 100 yards through the parking lot and out onto the highway. It made me think of something an MSF Instructor recently told me. He said he teaches the MSF Experienced Rider course and that he sees a lot of people who think they’re good riders

16

because they have been riding 20 or 30 years. The instructor said what they really have is one year’s experience repeated 20 or 30 times. That made a lot of sense. In other words, a rider gets to a certain level and then, never improves any further, but instead, keeps repeating the same mistakes over and over again. Now, if you’re driving a car, you can get away with a lot of mistakes for a lot of years before it catches up with you. But, on a bike, there’s usually no such thing as a little fender bender. In almost every crash on a motorcycle, you’re going to get hurt or even killed and your bike is going to be a mess, if not a total wreck. The point is, don’t fool yourself into thinking you know what you’re doing just because you’ve been riding for a lot of years. Look at it this way, if experience was all you need to be a good driver, then that 80 year old guy blocking the left lane of the highway with 60 years of driving under his belt should be able to easily win the Daytona 500 should he choose to since he has far more experience than most of those young whippersnappers in NASCAR, right? Of course not! Those young experienced NASCAR drivers have received the best training available and constantly practice and improve their skills. Now, the old guy with all the experience, like you, the experienced rider, can cruise on down the road just fine, until something unexpected happens. Then, all he and you can do is jam on the brakes and hope for the best. The highly trained driver or rider can rely on his skills and training and probably can avoid the crash altogether instead of “laying her down”, (in other words, to avoid the crash). Now, it’s true, you can’t avoid every crash, but it sure would be nice to avoid most of them. Copyright 2018 Jerry “Motorman” Palladino www.ridelikeapro.com

All Right! All right! All right! Happy Independence Day to all the Full Throttle Magazine Family out there. Hope that everyone had a safe and successful ride during our Soaked and Sore Ass Poker Run. As I usually do, I like to talk about military veterans out there that I interact with out at bike events across the state. This month will prove no different and will bring me back to some of my first months in the US Navy. Meet Marc! Marc was one class ahead of me through our “strand” and “core” classes in Tennessee and Pensacola. Our classes were very close, and I made many lifetime friends from that time. Looking back now, this has to be one of the greatest group of sailors to ever make it out to the fleet. Matty, Marc, Lee, Jeff, Steve and Justin just to name a few. Marc completed his commitment and is now a part of Fire & Iron MC Station 39. Its was amazing to get to meet up with him down at Peggy’s Corral, and I look forward to meeting up again. ** Special note. RIP to our long-term friend and shipmate Steven D. Fair Winds and Following Seas, Brother. ** July is also

FROM WALL STREET TO MAIN STREET@ WALL STREET RIDES, LLC: BY: MICHELLE OSBORNE, JULY ARTICLE Fromwallstreettomainstreet.com@ 754-MONEYAM or 727-459-4875 Invest Smart | Ride Safe “Getting the income you need from your investments…. for retirement, settlement dollars, inheritances or current investment portfolio” mosborne@capesecurities.com

This month we are going to talk about a few options that may help you derive meaningful income from your hard-earned dollars while reducing risk, as well as ways to effectively position your money and optimize your interaction with Uncle Sam. I know a lot of people that love to ride, and most of the time, riders that have successful journeys make sure they have gas in their tank, provisions in their bags, and an understanding of the roads they are about to travel down. With retirement nearing for many in our biking community, it is increasingly vital that you carefully examine your financial gas tank, investment provisions bag, and your map for the financial road ahead. This means, understanding the income level you will need, how long you may need that income to last, and what challenging tax implications you could be facing in retirement? Have you ever wondered how your investments

could generate income for life? Well, there are several investment vehicles that can provide you with income for life, but you may need a vehicle that also has the opportunity to grow your principal. Many of my clients are enjoying the benefits of increased income while still retaining the opportunity for principal growth. Speaking of retirement, some of my clients have decided that they are now ready to sell their business and/or real estate assets (rental homes, apartment complexes, commercial buildings, etc.). We call this getting rid of the toilets, trash, and tenant obligations. In some cases, selling your real estate investment holdings could cost you as much as 35% in taxes, but I have been helping my clients with situations like this throughout my career. So, when it comes to selling your real estate or your business, contact us PRIOR TO the sale so we can explain your options and explore the possibility of never paying a dime in capital gains tax. This could help preserve your sales proceeds, remove your property management obligations, and capture an income level that may otherwise be greatly reduced. So, whether you are rolling over your retirement assets, selling your business, selling your real estate investments, or receiving a settlement from an accident, I will use my expertise and work diligently to make your principal work for you as hard for you as you worked for it. I take a helicopter approach to investing that includes every aspect of your financial house including your income, tax situation, and family legacy. With so many options out there, it is hard to determine how to get the most from your money without specialized advice. Call me, I can help. HAPPY RIDING! Hello everyone, What a month we have had. Went to Laconia bike week up in New Hampshire. You talking about a good time. Not to mention the riding was beautiful. We set up at New Hampshire Speedway doing 3 days of bike shows. What a lot of fun. It's crazy being 1400 miles from home and run into so many people you know. We took a ride inside the track to check out all the race bikes. Wow are they fast. We also test drove a new Sling Shot. You talking about a blast. About 6000 rpm's those things will get crazy. Yes we have had an incredible busy month. All the great bike nights and our Full Throttle Summer Bash which was a fantastic time are off the chart. I need to move on about some up and coming

40

stuff we are working. I want to announce our new Wednesday Night Bike Night. FREE VENDERS and CHEAP BEER live music and games all at Joe's Crab Shack. Tired of the same old bike night. Come on out to Joe's and enjoy what a bike night is supposed be. Like always. I want to thank everyone for following us and being part of one of the best communities in the world. Yo, when you’re hot, you’re hot, and man is it hot outside. Summer is here my fellow riders and it is showing its ugly face in true Florida form and yet… we still ride. While the heat is going to stay awhile I do have cool ways for us to chill out together. Like the new cool throttle tent, you'll see at some of our events this tent allows you to enjoy yourself in misting atmosphere as you talk and laugh among friends and, of course, our water balloon toss that's seems to be making lots of fun for the kids in us all. With that being said, let’s talk events that are happening this July starting with Webster the 1st Sunday of every month and now the new home of the Full Throttle rid-in bike show. July 7th I’ll be at Ducky's in south Tampa from 1-5pm for their meet & greet where the 1st 20 bikes get a free domestic beer of your choice and man, is the food great there! We'll also be at Xone the 10th in Largo from 6-10 for their bike

54

night which they have every week on Tuesday with great food & drink specials. ON July 11th we are going to be at our new home for bike night. Making Wednesdays better than ever at Joe's Crab Shack in Beautiful Clearwater on Gulf to Bay Blvd. with live music, outstanding food, awesome drinks and free vendor space. That's right, free vendor space. I'll take fresh sea food any day of the week, so remember to mark your calendars for one. Also, on Friday the 13th I'll be at my American legion post 186 in Brooksville for our 3rd bike night and yes, it is opened to the public. With 50\50, fish fry and rid-in bike show so please come out and enjoy yourself with our military vets and members. I also want to give a huge birthday shout out to a beautiful lady that I love you very much and that has done everything for me and my family without wanting anything in return. We love you Nanny, Happy Birthday. (everyone luv da nannies) So if you see me on the road remember to say what’s up and always ride safe.... Jc out!

Welcome to South Dakota from the Diva Angels Sioux Empire Chapter! Hey all this is Ruthie, some of you know me from Quaker Steak & Lube, working for Fran Haasch and riding with the Diva Angels Tampa Bay Chapter. Wow A LOT has happened since I left Florida in 2012 but Florida left a mark on my soul. In 2013 I founded the Diva Angels Midwest Chapter and I'm so proud of them for continuing to be a great organization. A couple of years ago. I had the luck of finding awesome friends and a riding family here in Sioux Falls South Dakota. Last year I asked 3 stellar women join with me to co-found the Diva Angels Sioux Empire Chapter. In just a little over a year we are the second largest chapter with 23 members and rapidly growing! We adopted a road and do our community service and cleanup the roadway, we also have many charity drives throughout the year. As Sturgis Motorcycle Rally approaches in August, the Diva Angels Sioux Empire

want to welcome you all to come ride and experience what South Dakota and The Black Hills have to offer. The Badlands, a desert area to the east of the Black hills that offers a vastly different landscape from the lush forests, water, and green to the west. Needles Highway, Deadwoods, Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse monuments, Iron Mt Road, STURGIS, and lots more‌ too much to list‌. There are many choices for lodging, camping, hotels, and cabins all over the area. Check it out, Come Visit!!! Please make sure you come say hello to a Diva Angel at Sturgis, look us up on Facebook. I would love to share and introduce my Florida Motorcycling family. How awesome is that? Take care and I hope to see some of you this Year! Ruthie aka Kickstand.

TIFF WITH RILEY ''My God! What happened to you?'' the bartender asked Kelly as he hobbled in on a crutch, one arm in a cast. ''I got in a tiff with Riley.'' ''Riley? He's just a wee fellow,'' the barkeep said, surprised. ''He must have had something in his hand.'' ''That he did,'' Kelly said. ''A shovel it was.'' ''Dear Lord. Didn't you have anything in your hand?'' ''Aye, that I did -- Mrs. Riley's left boob.'' Kelly said. ''And a beautiful thing it was, but not much use in a fight.'' LITTLE PIANIST A man walks into a bar and sees his friend sitting beside a 12-inch pianist. He says to his friend, "That's amazing. How did you get that?" The man pulls out a bottle and tells him to rub it and make a wish. He rubs the bottle, and a puff of smoke pops out and tells him that he can have one wish. So the man thinks and says, "I wish I had a million bucks." The genie says, "OK, go outside, and your wish will be granted." The man goes outside, but all he finds are ducks filling the sky and roads. He goes back in and tells his friend what happened, and his friend replies, "I know. Did you really think I wanted a 12-inch pianist?" NOW THAT’S A BET A guy walks into a bar and announces that he can close his eyes and name what kind of alcohol he is drinking and how old it is, just by taste and smell. A drunken guy at the bar says, "I bet I can give you a drink that you can't name." "You're on," replies the guy, "as long as you pay." So the drunken guy puts a drink on the table. The guy sips it, gags and spits it out. "This tastes like piss!" "Yeah," says the drunken guy, "now guess how old I am." WALKS INTO A BAR... GOT GRAPES? A duck walks into a bar and asks, "Got any grapes?" The bartender, confused, tells the duck no. The duck thanks him and leaves. The next day, the duck returns and asks, "Got any grapes?" Again, the bartender tells him, "No -- the bar does not serve grapes, has never served grapes and, furthermore, will never serve grapes." The duck thanks him and leaves. The next day, the duck returns, but before he can say anything, the bartender yells, "Listen, duck! This is a bar! We do not serve grapes! If you ask for grapes again, I will nail your stupid duck beak to the bar!" The duck is silent for a moment, and then asks, "Got any nails?" Confused, the bartender says no. "Good!" says the duck. "Got any grapes?" Q: What do you call a prostitute's children? A: Brothel sprouts. THE PRAYING PARROT A middle-aged man lived alone except for his pet, a male parrot. The man was very proud of his parrot because it would sit in the bottom of its cage, cross its wings, and

58

pray. He was also a devout church goer and would often brag to the congregation about his faithful parrot. One day the man was boasting about his parrot's prayers. An older gentleman was simply amazed by this. ''I have a female parrot and she's just terrible. My son raised her and all she does is curse. She's the most foul-mouthed creature I've ever heard,'' he sighed. ''Maybe if we put my parrot with your parrot he would teach mine how to pray and stop cursing so much.'' The man readily agreed to this and a few days later the gentleman brought his parrot by. The man's parrot sat praying in the bottom of the cage as they placed the female inside with him. The parrot instantly stopped praying, hopped up, looked the female over and shouted, ''Hot damn!! This is what I've been praying for!!'' A PIRATE WALKS INTO A BAR... A pirate walks into a bar with a steering wheel on his pants, a peg leg and a parrot on his shoulder. The bartender says, "Hey, you've got a steering wheel on your pants." The pirate says, "Arrrr, I know. It's driving me nuts." FARMER JOE AND HIS MULE Farmer Joe decided his injuries from his recent accident were serious enough to take the trucking company responsible for the accident to court. In court, the trucking company's fancy lawyer was questioning farmer Joe. "Didn't you say, at the scene of the accident, that you were fine?" ''Well, I'll tell you what happened. I had just loaded my favorite mule Bessie into the--" ''I didn't ask for any details,'' the lawyer interrupted. ''Just answer the question. Did you not say, at the scene of the accident, that you were fine?" ''Well I had just got Bessie into the trailer and was driving down the road--'' ''Judge, I am trying to establish the fact that, at the scene of the accident, this man told the Highway Patrolman on the scene that he was just fine. Now several weeks after the accident he is trying to sue my client. I believe he is a fraud. Please tell him to simply answer the question.'' By this time the Judge was fairly interested in Farmer Joe's answer and told the lawyer so. ''Well," said the farmer, "as I was saying, I had just loaded Bessie, my favorite mule, into the trailer and was driving her down the highway when this huge semi-truck and trailer ran the stop sign and smacked my truck right in the side. I was thrown into one ditch and Bessie was thrown into the other. I was hurting real bad and didn't want to move. However, I could hear ol' Bessie moaning and groaning. I knew she was in terrible shape just by her groans. Shortly after the accident a Highway Patrolman came on the scene. He could hear Bessie moaning and groaning so he went over to her. After he looked at her he took out his gun and shot her between the eyes. Then the Patrolman came across the road with his gun in his hand and looked at me. He said, 'Your mule was in such bad shape I had to shoot her. How are you feeling?'"

Half a year is gone, summer is here and hot weather for riding. Just a reminder to stay hydrated and be safe and use sunscreen. the June bike night at Tallahassee Harley-Davidson was great, the band N-spire was great, the buffalo soldiers cooked bar-b-que. The bike show was great, and Tallahassee H-D made one lucky person happy with a 500-dollar merchandise gift card. JC and Stefanie from full throttle did a fantastic job. the will be here every month with yours truly to make Tallahassee H-D not just a bike night but a destination. Happy 4th of July. the band for bike night is 100 proof, the charity is DuBois rescue charity, bike show, vendors, JC and Stefanie from Full Throttle Magazine and me along with the friendly staff led by Ricky
