Hello everyone and welcome to the sweltering heat of Summer! We have already had days with the heat index reaching 110+. Please remember to drink lots of water and have sun block on when you go riding. The worst time of the day to be in the sun is 12noon – 4pm and of course that is the best time most of us are riding our motorcycles. Be safe and be smart when you are out there riding. Besides the heat be sure to also have a weather app on your phone for the pop-up showers that happen here over the summer as well, and if you don’t like the weather, just wait 5 minutes and it will change. Our next big event is our Annual 5 Bridge poker run! This is happening on July 16th and is always a great ride. We are starting at Moramoto of Tampa on Dale Mabry Highway. We then travel over Courtney Campbell Causeway to the Winghouse of Clearwater. Then we travel over the Bay side bridge to Bert’s Barracuda HarleyDavidson. From there we go over the Howard Frankland bridge to Riveters Tampa back on Dale Mabry Highway by the stadium. Next, we will travel over the Gandy Bridge to Glory Days and the last bridge we travel over is the Skyway (You will need toll money) and we end at Winghouse of Ellenton. Yes, it’s a great ride and you get to see all the big bridges. We are also paying cash prizes for the 1st, 2nd 3rd and worst poker hands on the run. The price for the ride is $25 for a poker sheet that will have three poker hands on it. We also have Patches for the first 100 people who register for the ride and buy a poker sheet for $25. This run can be done on a bike or in a car! For more info on this ride check out the ad in this month’s magazine or the event page on Facebook or call us at Florida Full Throttle at 727-935-4875. We have announced our 26th Anniversary Party will be on November 5th at Lead Foot City! We are very

excited for this as it will be our first event ever there and this place is awesome! It is a great ride out to Brooksville, and we have a full day planned and tons of entertainment for everyone. First off, we will be giving away $2,600 for our 26th anniversary. 26 people will win a $100 bill from Full Throttle Magazine and Lead Foot City. This is completely free to enter, and drawings will start at 1pm and go till 7pm with multiple winners at the top of every hour. We are working on the 3 bands that will be playing all day long and those will be announced in the August issue. We are also doing something that has never been done before, we are going to have 4 MMA exhibition fights for everyone to watch along with a $1,000 cash prize bike show, $1,000 bikini contest, Bikini bike wash all day long, stunt riders, our annual slow race with cash prizes, burnouts, tons of vendors and much more! I promise you; we are putting together one hell of a party! There will be a $10 admission charge and we have so much entertainment planned you will enjoy every minute of the event. We are currently looking for sponsors and vendors for this event, you will get your logo on all the ads, banners, and mentions all day long on the stage. We are also looking for food trucks for this event and we have space for 10-15 food trucks, but we are looking for all different food varieties. Call us at Full Throttle to get involved 727-935-4875. The third Wednesday of the month, Circle S BBQ is bringing back their bike and Jeep night! Circle S BBQ has some great food and an awesome location right on US 19 in Hudson. There will be a cornhole tournament for cash prizes, vendors, beer, and liquor and for July they are kicking off Bike and Jeep night with the Bearded Brothers Band! Please come out and support Harold and Circle S BBQ on the 3rd Wednesday of every month! I would like to wish Maycee a very special 10th birthday this month and I would also like to wish every a very special and happy 4th of July. I would also like to wish my beautiful and amazing fiance a very happy 2 year Anniversary of our first date on July 31th, I love you and you are amazing. Be careful with the fireworks and don’t hurt yourself like I seem to do every year. We hope to see everyone at the Bike Nights or events and remember we are always at Quaker Steak and Lube on Wednesday Nights and OCC Roadhouse and Bert’s Barracuda Harley on Thursday Nights for Bert’s Great American Bike Night! Much love to all and be safe, be smart, don’t drink and ride and I’ll see you soon.

Ladies, did you know that July is Women's Motorcycle Month? Some say it is in May .. or is it? Several years ago, the Motorcycle Hall of Fame declared July to be Women's Motorcycle Month, however, in 2009, Harley Davidson decided that May would be Women's Motorcycle Month. May is already Motorcycle Awareness Month around the world so why not join the Diva Angels and acknowledge and celebrate women riders with group rides throughout July. With that said, living in Florida and riding in the summer months, it’s HOT! We love riding but we also need to go stay healthy: Drink lots of water, avoid alcohol and caffeine, wear wicking base layer, wear evaporative cooling vest & neck wrap, avoid the hottest part of the day, and take frequent breaks. As you know, the Diva Angels are all about family and support others, especially charities in need, we INVITE EVERYONE to mark their calendar for September 17th! Pasco Chapter is holding our Annual

16

Fundraising event, held at Chester McKay VFW, 7445 Chester McKay Dr in New Port Richey between 12-5pm. There will be lots of food, entertainment and raffle prizes! Mark your calendar!! It’s an event you don’t want to miss! For more information about joining our group, safety tips, monthly events and other tidbits please check out our website http://www.divaangels. org/ to find a chapter near you or visit us on Facebook at https://www.facebook. com/DivaAngelsPasco/ we are a 501c (7) not for profit organization. UK born Amber Spencer, DAMON’s Global VP of Marketing takes no prisoners. That is, in business or, on the track. I met Amber about 5 years ago. We knew the day would come where I would write about her and DAMON. Spencer leads and oversees all aspects of brand, digital marketing, public relations, customer relations, and experience. During her tenure, the company has gained tremendous market recognition in brand, customer acquisition and awards. Spencer is a motorcycle enthusiast experienced at riding various bikes, including cafe racers, dirt bikes and cruisers. She is a member of the WMRC Westwood Motorcycle Racing Club and placed third in her first ever race. Spencer is also an award-winning fitness competitor and advocate for health and wellness. But what is DAMON you will say? Damon Motors’ claim to fame is that it developed the world’s safest, smartest, fully connected electric motorcycles. The electric superbikes, including HyperSport and HyperFighter, offer unparalleled safety, comfort, and performance with groundbreaking technology and zero tailpipe emissions. Proprietary features include the CoPilot™ advanced warning system, Shift™, which transforms the riding position between sport and commuter modes while in motion, and HyperDrive™, the world’s first monocoque constructed, 100 percent electric, multi-variant powertrain platform. My fav is definitely the HyperSport and I’m still waiting for my first experience on it! Hint hint! Damon Motors is a global technology leader disrupting the motorcycle market. With offices in San Rafael, California and headquarters and manufacturing in Vancouver, Canada, Damon is on a mission to cause a paradigm shift for safer, smarter motorcycling. The company is delivering on its promise with award-winning innovation and unprecedented technologies. Anchored by its proprietary electric powertrain, HyperDrive™, Damon has captivated the motorcycling world by delivering earth-scorching speed, ferocious design, and epic new features, including the above mentioned CoPilot™ and Shift™, that are attracting an entirely new generation of riders. With rapid market adoption from eager buyers in the US and abroad, Damon is setting a new standard for motorcycle safety and sustainability worldwide. I am not sure if it’s right to even compare but I guess you could say Damon is the Tesla version of motorcycle. Besides the 200HP, 0 to 60 in 3 seconds with a top speed of 200mph, what else is Damon’s VP of Marketing vision? Well, the motorcycling landscape is changing. Women riders make up 20 percent in the US alone, with 22 percent of Gen X riders and 26 percent of Gen Y riders being female. Yet, products and services have been slow to respond to this growth with motorcycles still built specifically for the biggest market: men. Additionally, according to Spencer, the global auto industry continues to have a major gender gap. A Catalyst study shows females in 2018 holding just eight percent of executive roles in the top 20 motor vehicles and parts companies in the Global Fortune 500.

34

“We believe not enough women are represented in motorcycling and we are here to change that—by living it ourselves inside and out,” said Spencer “Women make up motorcycling’s fastest growing segment and Damon’s world-class team of top female talent is representative of this. A company with more women will not only lead to greater equality, but will also bridge the divide of men and women’s motorcycling needs. This forward way of thinking is at the core of Damon’s DNA.” So, if you are a professional in the industry who happens to identify as a female, take a look at the job openings! It’s worth the look. And if you identify as male with good credentials, well, don’t let that deter you from applying because I’m pretty certain the company is more about merit and qualifications than genders. Damon Motors has recently surpassed a $50M milestone in preorders for its flagship HyperSport motorcycle, the world’s smartest, safest, all-electric sportbike. The company has also won numerous awards and recognition for its innovation including a 2022 Edison Best New Product Award, a Best in Innovation CES Innovation Award, a 2021 GOOD DESIGN® Award, a Digital Trends Top Tech 2020 CES Award, a 2020 Red Herring Top 100 North America finalist award for CleanTech, a 2020 Popular Science Best of What’s New Award, and a Robb Report “Best of the Best” award for motorcycle innovation. So, when all is said and done … pay attention! I don’t think with Spencer as copilot in this cockpit that she is going to leave any space for chance. She is determined! She learned that from her dad as he frequently drove the family car at high speeds to jump the car off the bridged peaks of river crossings. Before she was legally allowed to race adult go karts, her dad told the organizers she was a professional racer in order to let her into races, where she frequently beat all the adults to the podium. On the flip side, her Mother was all about safety but the need for speed and safety eventually met. By adulthood, she wanted to ride motorbikes but was dissuaded by her mother, who had been struck by a motorcycle at a young age. Amber’s passion, however, continued to grow and at the age of 21 she took her first ride on the back of her father’s Harley. After that ride, she was committed to getting a motorcycle, bought a Suzuki Boulevard S40, and has never looked back. I said it before and I will say it again till the day I expire; follow your dreams! www.facebook.com/floridanighttrain IG: florida_night_train TikTok: floridanighttrain Source: www.DAMON.com and Amber Spence
