Tampa Bay attorneys John Della Costa and David Neville met while working at local law firms that operated with what they call the “Mill Mentality.” The goal of the “Mill Mentality” is to attract as many cases as possible and then push them through the legal system quickly. It was a volume business that produced great revenue for the law firms, but John and David always felt the clients weren’t getting the personal attention they deserved.
THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO GET YOUR FREE GUIDE*: 1) Visit www.ProLawUSA.com and click the download button
2) Call our office at In 2006 John and David decided to do things differently. They envisioned a law firm where clients could work directly with their attorneys – not paralegals, case workers, or assistants like they would at a typical “TV law firm.” They knew this approach would require them to accept fewer cases but they also knew it was the best way to serve their clients. Together, John and David created the law firm of Della Costa & Neville to provide clients with the personal service they felt was lacking in so many of the larger firms.

If you’ve been injured there are plenty of law firms out there eager to handle your case and it’s not always easy to tell the differences between them. That’s why John Della Costa decided to write Don’t Get Caught In The Mill! It’s an inside look at the way different law firms operate and is designed to provide consumers with the information they need to select the right attorney for their case. If you are a Florida resident you can get this book for free without any obligation.

May was an awesome month with a ton of great events that happened! Be sure to remember to drink lots of water and bring your sunscreen out while riding the next few months. I have a feeling it is going to be one hot summer here in Florida! If you want to see all our pictures from the events that happened in May, please go like our Facebook page, just search "Florida Full Throttle" and we are posting great pictures and motorcycle related stuff all the time! June 21st is our 17th annual SOAKED AND SORE ASS POKER RUN! This year we are going to end in Cocoa Beach. We are starting in St. Pete at Skyway Jacks then headed down south around Lake Okeechobee then over to the East Coast. The route is just about 340 miles one way with seven stops along the way. The great part about the Sore Ass Run is that you meet tons of new people and you all get to experience a great ride together and something to talk about. Everyone on the ride will also receive a patch, t-shirt and competition certificate at the end stop. We are very excited about this run this year and we have a great route and very cool biker establishments that we will be stopping at along the way! We look forward to seeing you all on this great ride and venturing out to new areas around the state of Florida that maybe you have never seen before! Full Throttle lost a great and dear friend in May, Dave Frank. Dave did a lot with us and was a good friend. He was turning into a very good photographer and ran our Fireworks show at the Expo the past few years as he also worked for Pyrotechnico. Dave was a great man and you could always find him at Quaker Steak and Lube bike night helping out Radical Randy and was a big part of the Radical Team as well. We will deeply miss Dave and his great attitude towards life! Rest In Peace Brother! I would like to welcome a few new advertisers to the Full Throttle Family this month. As you can see on the cover, Team Farrell is very biker friendly and biker owned and operated. I met Tina and Steve at our Cotee River Bike Fest Meetings and they are two amazing people who run a great business. They have seven different divisions in which they can help you in any way with your house from building it from the ground up to roof repair and much more. Be sure to check out the Centerfold in this month's issue to see all that that can offer you. If you need anything done with your house, be sure to call a biker in the community first and call Team Farrell. I would also like to welcome Al Estes Bail Bonds to the Full Throttle family. Hey, we all get in trouble some times and we need someone on our side! If you find yourself needing a Bail Bondsman, give Al Estes a call! We are also hosting two new Bike Nights at Hogan's Beach in Tampa and at Catches in New Port Richey. Check out the ads in the magazine for dates and times! I would like to wish My Brother and Grandfather a very special Father's Day! It is also my brother's birthday, he is a Chief in the Navy and I am very proud of him, love ya Bro! There are also a lot of birthday's in the Month of June that I would like to acknowledge: Paul Cianci, Karisa Eayrs, Chris Meggs, Vicki Moore, Desiree Vila, Brenda Belg Parlaman, Jimmy Wallace, Sandy Golobish, Kelley Michele Halvorsen, Todd Richie, Debbie "Gem" Arnold, Vivian Ramsey, Susan Auriemma, Jenny Brown, Janet Cooks Sullivan, Brent "Scooter" Cory, Stephanie Ackerman, Ken Settle, Joe Shipes, Jess Enriquez-Morrissey, Theresa Winter, Lisa Lombardi, Lynn "F-bomb" Kottke, Suzanne Kovach and Eric Dodson. HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU ALL! Be safe and rise smart!

A 10x20 Shed in their back yard with a phone, note pad and pen. That's how it ALL began. Steve and Tina Farrell had one thing in mind. They wanted to create a company and a brand everyone can trust. Steve Farrell knew the commitment to having things done right was the key to success. Tina in the shed plugging away on the phones and Steve in the field with a small crew swinging the hammer seems to be the perfect formula for success. Word around town quickly spread that Farrell Roofing should be everyone's choice. Not just because of the quality work BUT because they knew that being a part of the community was more important. Charities, Schools, Cancer Societies, Rotary Clubs, local Sporting events, College Scholarships... The list goes on and on. Tina and Steve have a giving heart that is very rare in today's world. They created a company and a brand they were very proud of... BUT WANTED TO DO MORE. Fast forward a few years... Now, working out of a immaculate warehouse... Steve and Tina felt it was time to grow. Mrs Farrell stated " My husband loves a challenge" So after much due diligence the Farrell's brought in local Engineer/Gen30
eral contractor Rich Allen to the Team. His knowledge and experience in the building industry was the perfect fit and so the home services division of the business began to take shape with Tina, Steve and Rich working together. Team Farrell has grown to include many divisions which include Farrell Rescue, which protects and rescues homes that are damaged by fire, water and mold. Other additions to Team Farrell include flooring, outdoor landscaping and the 2 newest...commercial property construction/ maintenance and painting divisions. Today, Team Farrell is truly a team of contractors you can trust, They have assembled a group of successful people around them. Speaking with their Director of Sales, Regan Weiss stated "all of our staff is committed to providing their best effort, so that you feel confident that the job will get done right." Team Farrell goes above-and-beyond to meet their customers’ needs they have in house background approved employees so you have peace of mind. If you’re looking for a company that will quote you a price for quality work and make sure that you are pleased throughout the process, then let Team Farrell be your contractor of choice.

Welcome to a very hot back yard. Welcome bikers. Hope you all had a safe Memorial Day weekend. May was a busy month for me at Full Throttle. It all got kicked off up in Panama City for the Thunder Beach Spring. Rally. Mother Nature showed up for the first couple days but then she left town and it was a great event. Burnout pit went thru 11 tires over the weekend. Paint-N-Body Contest was a blast and the LED light show was off the chain. See everyone there October 1st to the 5th for the Spring Rally. But the special event for me was Give Mia Heart Ride. Bikers and folks from all around came together to raise money to help little Mia and her family get the funding she needs for a heart transplant. Little Mia has been in ICU at All Children's Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fl since Decem-
40
ber 30th. She will have to stay there until a heart can be found to transplant into Mia. I had the honor to meet all Mia's Grand Parents and many family members and the wanted to pass along a very big Thank You to the biker community for helping Mia on her journey to find a new heart. In all we raised just over $4,200 dollars for Mia. This still leaves a long way to go before the family can cover all Mia's medical expenses but her family is so grateful to the biker community, and all the sponsors and poker run stops that helped make this event a great success. You can still donate to Mia's fund by simply going to http:// cota.donorpages.com/MiracleM-

Hi All...Just sitting down to give you something to think on - if you died tomorrow what would your family and friends think about you? I ask you this because its something you don’t really think about. It takes the passing of family member or friend to make you really think hard about it. Are you a good son, daughter, mother, father.....friend? Are you good to other people? Are you someone who stands by family and friends when they go through tough times? So I ask you these questions and I will share with you my thoughts. I think if you could see your family and friends who come to your funeral you can see how you made a difference throughout your life to others. Maybe now that you and I are thinking about this we will go to the people we love… we will help them more and be there for them in their times of need. I hope we all live a good long life, continue to touch the lives of our loved ones and friends in good ways AND make many many more friends along the way. OK it’s that time of year where the days are hot and sunny (or with that occasional liquid sunshine) - Make sure you wearing the right clothes, put on the sun screen and have that rain gear packed! Full Throttle Magazine is going to be at a lot of events in the up coming month and you can keep up with what’s happening by checking the magazine or our Facebook page. As always - live life to the fullest and party your A&& off ...Dew

My friend Greg from Floral City Florida asked me about the first motorcycle. Here is what I found: American, Sylvester Howard Roper (1823-1896) invented a two-cylinder, steam-engine motorcycle (powered by coal) in 1867. This can be considered the first motorcycle, if you allow your description of a motorcycle to include a steam engine. Howard Roper also invented a steam engine car. Gottlieb Daimler - First Gas Engined Motorcycle German, Gottlieb Daimler invented the first gas-engined motorcycle in 1885, 44
which was an engine attached to a wooden bike. That marked the moment in history when the dual development of a viable gas-powered engine and the modern bicycle collided. Gottlieb Daimler used a new engine invented by engineer, Nicolaus Otto. Otto invented the first "Four-Stroke Internal-Combustion Engine" in 1876. He called it the "Otto Cycle Engine" As soon as he completed his engine, Daimler (a former Otto employee) built it into a motorcycle. Many people dont know that the first Harley motorcycle was sold in Chicago. See you soon Barbara...

A road-wary old biker walks into a saloon to have a cold beer after a long, dusty ride. At the end of the bar, he sees a rather good-looking “lady of the evening”. She smiles at him and asks if he’s looking for a good time. Well, having been some time since his last snarlin’ he accepts. After agreeing on a price, she escorts him up to her room and they start humpin’. After about 10 minutes of furious banging the old biker asks: “So babe, how am I doin’?” She replies: “You’re doin’ 3 “knots”. “3 knots?.... What’s that mean?” replies the biker. She said: “You’re NOT hard, you’re NOT in and you’re NOT getting your money back!” *****************************************

WESTON DAVERN CHOP SHOP This month I had the pleasure of interviewing the owner of WESTON DAVERN CHOP SHOP, Weston Davern. Located at: 264 Warfield Ave. Venice, FL 34285 941-759-0100 E-mail: weston.davern@gmail.com www.westondavernchopshop.com Opened business when? 2006 I was in Englewood for a while, then around the corner from this location. I have been here for about 8 years now. FACEBOOK? WESTONDAVERNCHOPSHOP Best way to reach you? Phone: 941-759-0100 Have you been in any other magazines? Born To Ride and a couple other ones in Daytona (I can’t remember their names….) TV Shows? I’ve heard customers say that they’ve seen my bikes on a TV show, but I have never seen it. What made you interested in motorcycles? My dad is into motorcycles and I’ve been riding since I was six! I built my first bike with my dad. His dad paints all the bikes he builds also. Have you done any work for “famous” people? One of the guys who was on a Motorcycle TV show. He’s not really famous except that he was on TV (guess that’s kinda cool!) and another guy who designed the computer programs for ONSTAR. Other types of media? Weston WON FIRST PLACE IN THE FULL CUSTOM CLASS WITH THE PIRATE BIKE at FULL THROTTLE BIKE BUILDERS INVITATIONAL 2011!!! What do you offer? EVERYTHING…maintenance/repairs, full custom welding; I service all parts (tires, motors, performance motor builds, super chargers). I work on metric bikes, Harleys, Sport bikes, any kind of bike. I can do groundup full customs bikes also. What do you charge per hour? $45 Who inspires you the most? Mark Davern (My dad). Tell me about your family? Mom, Dad, and Sister What makes you different from most shops? That I do EVERYTHING…I’m not just a mechanic that went to school. I am an artist. What made you think of the name? It’s NOT just my name. Back in the old school, everything was CHOPPERS and it was called a chop shop cuz it wasn’t quite legal. I just thought the name was cool and it rhymed. I’m very honest, so you won’t catch me doing anything WRONG (intentionally) he laughs. Who are the other employees? Weston and Little Bear (his dog). Tell me about your background in building? I had to learn to weld before I could get my first tattoo. It was a requirement of my dad…learn to weld and then get a tattoo. So, he learned to weld when he was only 13 years old (his dad is also a tattoo artist). During the “Chopper craze” of early 2000, we thought it would be a good idea to start putting bikes together and selling them. We started with Hondas and then Harleys. Then it just became my OWN thing and I opened up the WESTON DAVERN CHOP SHOP in 2006 and have been on the run ever since! Weston is only 26! What are your future plans? Eventually a bigger shop and add a couple employees once I see the need to do that. Do you sell after-market products? YES, but let’s not go through that list (it’s too long).

Can you do warranty work? No. You have to be a Harley-Davidson dealer in order to do warranty work. You really have a different kind of business here. Explain how it’s different? A lot of motorcycle shops started off being maintenance / repair shops. I started out being a full custom builder (offering crazy, artistic builds). Basically, that’s what a build is “you are fixing it until it’s done {right}! “ Describe yourself in 3 words? WORKING, WORKING, WORKING… I can’t stand to be doing “nothing”. BUSY, BUSY, BUSY, and that’s the way I like it! Three things you love…GOD, Motorcycles, and BBQ Three things you dislike? Inpatient people…uhh… (There are a lot of things, but what do I want to say that can be published? Weston says jokingly). Why the motorcycle industry? I worked for SherwinWilliams for a short while. It was my only normal job (other than doing what I love). It was a fun job, but I didn’t want to live another day delivering paint…I hated it that much! While on the job, we went out mudding in the work vans. I got fired for crashing the van in the mud! Shortly thereafter, I opened this shop. What is your greatest achievement? UMMM…patience. What are your biggest regrets? Since I’m only 26, I can’t think of anything! What is the future of the motorcycle industry? Busier and busier I imagine. Everybody’s numbers across the entire motorcycle industry are going up year by year, so that is pretty good. People spend more and more and more on their bikes all the time. We both had a laugh at that statement because it is so true! What was your first bike? ’73 CL350 Honda Scrambler What is your overall favorite bike? MINE! The I-ROD I built that shoots flames! What are you currently building? Weston laughs and says, “You’ll need a separate sheet of paper for that one!”… Four full customs right now; Three engine builds; couple of repairs; couple of tires; I got a super-charger lined up in a two weeks that I’m installing; Building a motor for myself; this one’s getting a motor redone and going to paint; Redoing this whole bike and custom building another…. (If you could see his shop, then you’d have a better understanding.) I’ve included pictures, but this is just one place you’d have to check out for yourself! It’s that amazing and the work he does will blow you away! In Weston’s own words, “It’s a lot”. But doing what you love isn’t just a job…it’s a real commitment to the motorcycle itself. He puts his heart and soul into every motorcycle he builds. What is the most common mistake most new bike builders make? Building what they SEE instead of what they like. Anything else you’d like to say? Not really…I appreciate you taking the time to interview me! Weston is quite talented and gets his ideas from that artistic mind of his. He is a one-man shop, and I was lucky to get to interview him! In his words, “IF I DON’T DO IT, IT DOESN’T GET DONE!” But seriously, if you’re in the market for a new bike (OR just want to add something CUSTOM-MADE, come see WESTON DAVERN CHOP SHOP WHERE YOU’LL BE AMAZED AT WHAT HE CAN DO! In other news around my area: There were a lot of bikers at the BUCKAROO ROADHOUSE with 25 riders in the first Poker Run. Stay tuned to for a second to be held in July. This is a very cool place, so come on by and check it out! It’s on the way to DeSoto Speedway!
