Bike Week 2012 is here! March is my favorite month of the year as it starts with my birthday, goes into baseball’s spring training, the NCAA basketball tournament and Daytona Bike Week. The weather is usually beautiful and it’s a great time to live in Florida! This year Bike Week was moved back a week and starts on March 9 and concludes on March 18. It is usually a week earlier. I think the “powers to be” wanted a little bit of time between the Daytona 500 crowds and Bike Week crowds! If you are making the trip to The Space Coast, make sure you stop by The Iron Horse or Boot Hill and say hello to us. Full Throttle will have booths set up at both locations handing out magazines, literature and talking to people! It will be fun returning to Main Street and Booth Hill Saloon! Hopefully you’ve been able to tune into FullThrottleVision every Thursday evening from 7pm till 8pm. We have had some great shows from multiple locations throughout Central Florida. We are always looking for sponsors, show locations and people to interview! If you have an event, make sure you talk to Tony C about getting it (or you) on FullThrottleVision! It was nice adding pages to this month’s magazine. I welcome all of the returning advertisers and a big hello to all our new advertisers. No motorcycle magazine covers the State of Florida better than Full Throttle ... No motorcycle magazine hosts as many events as Full Throttle ... no motorcycle magazine has the readership of Full Throttle ... and no motorcycle magazine has a bigger social network (Facebook, e-mail blasts, website, etc) than Full Throttle! If you’re in the motorcycle business, how can you not be in Full Throttle Magazine???? I hope you all have a great month of March. Please ride carefully and watch the cages and the hundreds of inexperienced riders during Bike Week. Have a great St.Patty’s Day and I will see you next month!

YES!!!! March is finally here and that means BIKE WEEK!!!! 10 days of riding, events, bike shows, bikini contests and just a lot of fun in Daytona Beach! I always look forward to going to Daytona and of course working, but we also have a lot of fun there also! We usually end up hanging out either Downtown on Main Street or at the Ironhorse Saloon! This year we will have booths at Boothill Saloon and Ironhorse all 10 days and you will also be able to find us at the Boardwalk Bike show on Friday March 16th and the World Famous Ratshole Show on Saturday March 17th. There are so many beautiful bikes at these two great shows every year! We look forward to seeing you all over in Daytona! Full ThrottleVision is our new LIVE BIKER WEBSHOW that we are doing every Thursday night from 7pm-8pm on our website www.fullthrottlevision.com. You can tune in any time and watch past episodes now that we figured out how to get them uploaded! It was tricky but I found the record button. If you have a bar, restaurant, shop, dealership or any business, we can bring our whole show to your place and set it up and stream live from your location! We only charge $200 and a little bit of food for our crew. It’s a lot of fun and we have around 300-500 viewers as of right now each week. It doesn’t sound like a lot, but these are people who are a captive audience and chose to go to their computer and watch us for an hour. FULL THROTTLE MULTI-MEDIA is our new business name as of January 1, 2012. That means we are more than just a magazine!!! When you purchase a Full Page ad with Full Throttle Magazine, your ad will now also be blasted multiple times on our Facebook page with over 6,700 fans and on our weekly e-mail blast with around 7,500 e-mails. You now get all of this for one low price of $600 for the whole advertising campaign! That’s only $200 per advertising medium! Besides that, we have our live internet webshow FULL THROTTLEVISION that airs live every Thursday night from 7pm-8pm and replays all week long until the next show available for sponsorship or advertising. We can make you a 30 second commercial and run it an entire month for as low as $200! We understand that there are a lot of ways for you and your company to spend your advertising dollars. But if you are in the motorcycle industry and want to reach the motorcycle market, Full Throttle Multi-Media is the way to go! You can always contact me at 727-919-1743 or send me an e-mail at tonyc@floridafullthrottle.com and make sure you sign up for our weekly e-mail on our website. It only takes a few seconds to enter your e-mail address on the home page of our website www.floridafullthrottle.com We have some great new advertises to Full Throttle Magazine and Multi-Media this month! I would like to welcome them all and let them know we appreciate their business. I would like to say Happy Birthday to my Dad on March 3rd, Love ya Pops! Be careful out there while you are riding and make sure you don’t drink and ride. See you all in Daytona for Bike Week.

Classic Bike Ramblings BIKERS.........GOOD OLE BOYS and A GENIUS Well, my 42 loyal readers, I have been asked over the past year or so, who do I look to, who do I like as a writer? Well theres a few obvious ones such as Ernest Hemingway, Clive Cussler, Issac Asimov and Norman Mailer plus the few obscure ones like Tim Robbins, Hunter S. Thompson and in the motorcycle area Peter Egan. And although I'm not in any of their leagues as they all live or lived to write, to express their words their ideas and are gifted with amazing stories and where I have only been struggling at this for a couple years as a personal challenge and it seemed cool. I will walk away from this self experiment in the near future, it's my ADD at work my friends and my attention span seems to be narrowing faster as I age. And also in these same conversations people have asked me what style I try to emulate, and well it's quite simple I think of my writings as "Historic Trilogy " kind of the Discover Channel meets Mad Magazine. I have stayed at this, as I and you a few of my 63 loyal readers, find it amusing at how I try to connect three seemingly un-related stories into something informative, interesting and semi readable. Yes, it has been pointed out to me that I could in fact make any one of these "Trilogy" stories its own article , but I find four pages of one subject to be mundane to write and uninteresting to read. I like surprises when I read and I like the high points of a subject not the boring details. Nope quick short stories, mini novels they are the attention keepers in this Internet, Cable T.V. and Text driven world we live in. And the title of my column is my style my good readers you see the word "Classic" loosely translates into " a superior or unusual example of its kind, having lasting significance or worth, enduring, judged over a period of time to be of the highest quality" although Mr. Mark Twain an amazing writer himself once said " A classic is something that everybody wants to have read and nobody wants to read". The second part of my title "Ramblings" ( I should drop the "bike" part as more often than not my articles have no two wheel references ) equates into "lacking a coherent plan, diffuse and disconnected lengthy and digressive " or in the two wheel world "Nomadic, habitually roaming, a wanderlust" So the title "Classic Bike Ramblings" gives a wide range of topics, the use of disconnected ideas and thoughts and an amazing

latitude to write out of the box and not conform to paragraphs, form or proper writing technique, pretty smart, huh? So theres my "history" and response to those of you who actually seem interested in what motivates my "style" what writers are on my "shelves" and one other interesting tidbit my 71 loyal readers, I can't type. This is all written in a free hand cursive chicken scratch and typed by my proffesional service (thanks Mom). Now my good people it's time to shine. I give you three "Classics" that you my rambling, nomadic history hungry friends may find of interest in this month of March in the year 2012. Another interesting thing lately is how many questions I have fielded about the 71st. Daytona Beach Bike Week being moved and the reason for it? The true reason this epic event has moved is that the "Great American Race" the Daytona 500 is being moved back one week from its usual starting date, this is to move it away from future Superbowls as the NFL may expand the current schedule to 18 games which would move the Superbowl game to later in February. It also takes two weeks to convert the racetrack from car to motorcycle racing and to build the super-cross track in the infield. Yes, my pals it will still be 10 days long and may make for some better weather as March can have very odd and diverse weather patterns here in Florida. For those of you who don't know the Daytona Beach Bike Week started as the Daytona 200 Motorcycle Race on January 24, 1937. This first race was 3.2 miles on a beach and pavement course. It would be moved to the Daytona International Speedway in 1961. The first Daytona 200 in 1937 was won by Californian Ed "Iron Man" Kretz riding #38 an Indian Speed Scout with an average time of 73.3 mph . He would be inducted into the AMA Hall of Fame in 1998. The race has been held yearly since 1937 except being suspended from 1942 to 1946 due to World War II. Although during these years an unofficial event went on which has become the Bike Week most of us know, not having much to do with the racing side of the sport anymore but more about the experience and the party. Bike Week has now become a 300,000 - 600,000 person ten day event which vies with the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally as the most popular two wheel event in America. It has grown from "just being some race" to world class bike shows, demo rides, vendors and of course concerts, parties and weather permitting bikinis not like the "good ole days" where craziness and nudity were the norm but is still very interesting

and very fun. Law enforcement for all this partying and frivolity and massive vehicle and two wheel traffic is very adeptly provided by the Daytona Beach Police and Volusia County Sheriffs Office. They have quite the job on their hands as there is an average of seven or so motorcycle related deaths during Bike Week (with 2006 being the record high of 20 ) so be safe over there my 2 and 4 wheeled friends and don't drink to much and drive. In 1991 Daytona decided to add a second motorcycle event in October and call it Biketoberfest, which is usually scheduled for the weekend following Columbus Day, it's the same lineup just on a smaller scale of motorcycle races, contests and biker fun and excitement. One plus to the October date is that since I am a surfer the waters of the Atlantic Ocean are much warmer and the women tend to have less clothing on, just saying. I've had many, many great times at Bikeweek, winning a couple Ratshole and Boardwalk Shows. And I have had a blast, yes some very classic times there with my mom and good friends and have caught some epic concerts by "the classic rambler" himself David Allen Coe at the Iron Horse, and then some amazing but somewhat foggy times at Boot Hill, Froggy's and the truly class-ic bar Lollipops.

races, I only watch the beginning and ends on TV now, but you know my 92 loyal readers it has had its glory days for me. I still have the headlight cover that "The King" Richard Petty signed for me and my dad. I was nine and still remember him signing hours of autographs in the pouring rain, now thats "Class-ic" and it is still is the number one NASCAR race on so many levels and to so many dedicated american race fans. It was actually the pursuit of land speed records that brought cars and bikes to the hard sands of Daytona. Land Speed racing began around 1903 and ended with Sir Malcolm Campbell's 276 mph run. But the speed record crowd would move to Bonneville so they needed a way to keep the city's history of speed and its economy going. The Daytona 500 began as an idea long ago. William France Sr. would move to Daytona and open up a car repair shop in 1935 and in 1936 he would enter the first Daytona Beach Road Course Race a (3.1 - 4.2 mile course ) that started on the pavement of highway A1A where a restaurant named "Racings North Turn" now stands. It went South two miles where the racers would turn onto the sand at the beach street access, they then returned two miles and came

I have had many great times in Daytona over the years surfing, motorcycle races and their epic Bike Weeks. But my history with Daytona goes way, way back to the age of nine. It would be my first visit of many to the World renowned and most prestigious NASCAR Race on the circuit and this my friends is the Daytona 500. Yes, I grew up a huge fan of NASCAR back when the cars looked like what showrooms sold, and as my Dad used to say " a win on Sunday meant sales on Monday" but the car of tomorrow is here and you can only tell the cars by the sticker on their hoods, and it seems the "Great American Race" moniker is lost to me with Toyota and other foreign brands possibly soon to come. And my friends,

back onto A1A at the North Turn again. The first race in 1936 was a 78 lap affair that France Sr. would place 5th. in. It would be in 1937 that France was approached to help promote and run the event and he would take it over completely in 1938. They would not race in the war years of 1941 - 1946. But France knew this would be big and that it needed more organization and oversight and on Feb 21, 1948 at a small Daytona bar, Bill France would form the National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing or as we know it today NASCAR.

today's drivers seem to have more of a dollars and sponsorship mentality and less of a fan and manufacturer loyality then of days gone by. Even my last old school driver Mark Martin (who by the way is a Ford Dealer ) who jumped from Ford after decades of driving one then to a Chevy and now to Toyota. No, after going to 15 or so

It would be in 1955 that France figured out it was time for a permanent race track to hold the ever expanding crowds and hotels were now starting to proliferate along Daytona's Beaches making racing there a near impossibility. He would propose a new race track called the Daytona International Speedway. He would begin building the new 2.5 mile tri - oval super speedway in 1956 to host the new premier event of the NASCAR series " The Daytona 500". In 1959 Lee Petty would win the first Daytona 500 (winning $19,050) in an Oldsmobile with an average speed of 135.5 mph. It would be an odd way to start the "Great American Race" it was run on Feb. 22, 1959 with 57 cars in the starting grid and Lee Petty would defeat Johnny Beauchamp. Petty and Beauchamp were lapping Joe Weatherly at the finish, when officials would initially

call Beauchamp the winner as the three cars crossed the line. Johnny would actually go to Victory Lane and enjoy the celebration and the apparent win. But after reviewing photos and film for three days, the call was reversed and Petty given the victory and with that my racing pals the father/son dynasty of Petty Enterprises would begin. It is now reguarded as the most important and prestigious race on the NASCAR schedule, with the largest purse, major points and was made the the opening race of the year. Since the mid 90's television ratings for the event have been the largest of any auto race, even the Indy 500 which has a more worlwide following (in 2006 the Daytona 500 had 20 million viewers ). Its winner is presented the Harley J. Earl Trophy and a $1.5 million dollar first place purse. It was also the first 500 mile auto race to be aired on TV in its entirety when CBS telecast it in 1979 (Richard Petty won in a Oldsmobile with an average speed of 143.9 mph, he would win $73,900 for his effort). A new lighting system in 1998 made for a tougher car/chassis track set up especially towards the last two pitstops as track temps changed drastically , but allowed for later and more varied starting times, with almost every race ending in the dark now. Qualifying for the Daytona 500 is also a very unique one of a kind process where a combination of timed runs qualifying coupled with 2 separate qualifying races and then using previous years championship points is used to fill the 43 starting spots. There is even a provision to install a previous NASCAR Champion if he is without a spot in the field. Richard Petty holds the record for most victories at this track with seven (64-66-71-73-74-79-81). Since 1998, 43 cars take the green flag but it wasnt always this way. In the early days of Daytona the starting grid was much larger and in 1960 a record 68 cars started this classic race. This unique qualifing procedure and its 31 degree banked trioval configuration makes for some of the best racing in the NASCAR biz. Why 31 degrees you ask? It was the heighth that the fill could be piled before it began rolling down the incline, 29 acre Lake Lloyd provided the fill used on the turns steep banking and then was filled with water to become the infield lake you see today. But my speed loving readers Daytona was the scene of a great victory and tragedy for one very classic driver. Dale Earnhardt who made 19 attempts to win the 500 would finally do it in 1998 and it would be his only win that entire season. But the Daytona 500 run on Feb. 3, 2001 would give the sport a very "black day". With two laps remaining and Dale's #3 car in contention for a possible second win, he would crash into the wall on Turn 3 and it would be at Daytona that the classic driver known as "The Intimidator" would lose his life. Today the track covers 480 acres and has permanant seats for 168,000 race fans and looks as if nothing will slow this classic race down, oh wait they introduced restrictor plates there in 2000. Well

thats a whole "nother" story my readers isn't it? In keeping with the title of my article here is another classic person and a "rambler", who to this day is still relevant and still in the spotlight at so many car and motorcycle events and although he's been gone almost 12 years he is still hip and very cool. I'm talking about Edward Roth also known as "Big Daddy" to so many of us grown ups. Creator of some truly amazing and sometimes alien like custom cars and motorcycles and most of all for his over the top cartoons most notably the drooling rabid eyed' "Rat Fink" with his yellow broken teeth and flies abuzz around him who was often referred to as Mickey Mouse's evil twin. Revell built model kits of his classic creations, The Outlaw , The Beatnik, Bandit, and Mysterian. We were wearing Rat Fink , Surf Fink and Mr. Gasser T-shirts as bikers, surfers or skateboarders because they were just so cool and it made a statement. His cars and motorcycles were more like an art form and he led the way for the term "Kar Kulture" or "Kustom Kulture" and my classic friends, Big Daddy brought this to a higher surreal level, he was not just a car customizer, no my 49 loyal readers, he was a cult and he has influenced entire generations of motorcycle and car customizers since and has given rise to so many aspiring cartoonists, musicians, artists and painters. Born Edward Roth on March 4,1932 in Beverly Hills, Calif. He was a larger than life figure, a big man in stature, with wild, fiery clothes and classic dark sunglasses and man he spoke in a hip almost beatnik kinda way ya dig? He looked like the vehicles and cartoons he created. A true outsider with unique and often bizzare and farout visions of cars, monsters, motorcycles and music. Taking art and shop classes at Bell High School he would go on to serve our country in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955 and after being honorably discharged he would begin airbrushing and selling his "Wierdo" T-shirts by July of 1958 at car shows and through Car Craft magazine. He is said to be the father of the "Monsters in Hot Rods" art form with his extreme characters and grotesque creatures. In 1964 he would comment "The kids idolize me because I look like someone their parents wouldn't like". He is still copied today as this new generation of customizer's turn stock bikes and Detroit iron into amazing dream vehicles that always wow us. But my friends he did not start out by customizing entire cars, in fact he along with Von Dutch (who is famous for his Flying Eyeball ) pioneered the art form of pin-stripping. He rented a garage and charged $50-$150 dollars to paint designs in 1/64 inch stripes, but it would not be long before " Big Daddy" went into the hot rod

business full time. He would be a pioneer in working with a brand new material called fiberglass through the "trial and error" method and become an expert mold builder. His first creation in 1958 was called "Little Jewel" and in 1959 it would be followed by his classic called "Outlaw" which was his first true experience in fiberglass plastic. Beatnik Bandit (1961), Orbitron (1964) and Road Agent (1965) are just a few of his most notable cars and all would be painted in the over the top Candy Apple paints he would become so well known for. His fame quickly rose in his home state of California , but his national fame would originate on two fronts. First would be his air brush paintings and posters of monsters. You see every teenage boy in the USA was putting together his allowance money to get a few, and if they saved enough they could get a model. In 1962, the Revell Model Company began selling plastic models of Roth's custom cars and from 1963 through 1965 they also made many of Roth's monsters such as Rat Fink, Brother Rat Fink, Drag Nut and Mr. Gasser and so many other ones of his oversized grotesque monstrosities often driving his bizzare hot rods, and they would sell millions my friends. In 1968 Mattel introduced Hot Wheels to the world and Roths cars were a perfect fit with his Beatnik Bandit being one of the first 16 toy cars produced by the company. Revell still continues to reissue Roth's models and his official website and E-Bay business thrives. Interestingly enough it would be a Revell who would get Roth his custom and formal "look". They had asked him to spruce up his "Beatnik disheveled" look, so Big Daddy went out and bought a full set of tux tails, silk top hat, cuff links and to top it all off, a monicle. And with that my friends he became the toast of car shows and custom events. Ed Roth would also turn to music as an outlet and in the 60's formed and become frontman for a group known as "Mr Gasser". They would release a few bizzare surf rock albums, with 1963's "Hot Rod Hootenany" being their most notable effort. It would then be in 1966 that he started customizing motorcycles. Mainstream bike magazines would not run his articles or ads, so my good friends he started his own magazine called "Choppers", it was a small black and white publication that ran from 1967-1970. It would be the first publication to ever exclusively feature only custom

motorcycles, choppers and their accessories. He is also said to have built the first VW powered trike in this period of time. He would go on to build many custom trikes both for personal use and for customers giving them names such as Candy Wagon, California Cruiser and Rubber Ducky. In a side note Revell would drop their deal with him after he began riding and customizing the motorcycles and was said to be hanging around with the Hell's Angels. And the "Chopper" magazine he started would cause him to lose most of his money and in 1970 he was forced to sell 15 of his custom cars for the grand sum of $5,500. He would mostly disappear from the car culture he founded and the show circuit for much of the 70's and 80's (he joined The church of Jesus Christ of the Latter Day Saints in 1974). He would then become a graphic designer for the California Amusement Park, Knottsberry Farms designing menus and painted billboards. Roth would move to Manti, Utah in the last years of his life (he was a Mormon) and he would start designing and exhibiting cars again, when asked why now? He replied "because nobody's doing far out". Ed Roth would be married 4 times and would add "My fanaticism with cars has just destroyed my personal life , It's an obsession, an addiction. Everyday I pray to God , release me from my calling". At the time of his passing he was working on a hot rod project called the Stealth 2000 involving a compact car powered by a Geo Metro motor showing that "anything can be made cool and hip". He would pass away at age 69 of a heart attack on April 4, 2001. Ed Roth was truly a "Classic Rambling" kind of man, larger than life and a visionary of his trade. No my good readers this month's article has a little more "cohesion" to it than most of my writings, more of a general theme. Ah, but don't count on it the future but you already knew that ! Will I be at Bike Week to visit you my friends? Yes, Will I go to another Daytona 500?, Maybe because it is a "Classic" and has a history with me. Will I look to Ed Roth's creations if I ever customize a car or bike ? Definitely. But you are the true "Classic Ramblers", you my readers and I will definitely miss you all when I get outta this writing racket. You see I have picked up a "Classic Marimba" and there are so many great local bands that can only improve, maybe make that leap into the "big time" with a "hot" marimba player! Yeah I have a lot of practicing to do so there's still some time left for me to turn you hip cats and kittys onto some cool stories and tales of rambling. We are all classics in some way or to someone, never forget that. We all have classics we go to, be it a concert, a football game or Aunt Edna's annual cake and bake sale. And many of us own our classics be it a Mustang, a Harley or a turntable that still plays vinyl. So be one, go to them or collect them, and my 99 loyal readers when you talk about them, about your adventures about your classic times, you will find yourself "rambling" and very often off topic but that's the fun of it. Robert " The King" De Moss

42 Hi ALL!! I sat down with the folks over at Attitude Custom Painting a few weeks ago. March 2012, marks Attitude Custom Painting’s 10th year in business! They’ve painted OVER 1800 motorcycles. That’s a lot of bikes to paint! Not only do they paint motorcycles, but they also do cars & most trucks (both new and older models) and just about anything that will fit in their booths. ACP has 2 spray booths so they can handle painting pretty much anything you throw at them. Scott Farrell is the owner/painter while his wife, Jody (the real boss:) does the shipping, books and QC. Scott has been in the auto body painting business now for over 30 years. Their painter, Chris Mahone has been with ACP 9 years now. Adam does the mudslinging, welding and prep. Scott just finished doing a frame-off build on a 1966 Chevy C10 that just got featured (7 pages) in the February edition of Custom Classic Trucks magazine. Scott would like to answer a question that was asked quite a bit at the Full Throttle Expo and that is if they do bodywork and small spot jobs. YES, they do both. In fact, they’ve done well over a few hundred spot jobs on bikes. They also have some pre-painted custom painted sets in stock for Harley-Davidsons which they call their Signature Set line. You can buy these sets outright or do a trade in with your set. They only pre-paint the 3-5 piece bikes though. So whether you are in need of a custom paint job, simple one color job, or need some bodywork and spot work, be sure and check out Attitude Custom Painting first. Especially, with a lot of the Harley colors being tri-stage and paints with ‘crystals’, you don’t want just anyone touching your ride. There’s no job too small. They are located in Pinellas Park and you can find their info and see 18000 pics + on the internet at www.attitudecustompainting.com or go see them in person at 6565 44th St N unit 1011 Pinellas Park FL.. These guys do some great work. On another note, Bike Week is quickly approaching come out to Daytona and see us at Boothill and Iron Horse.. Say hello if you see me! Live life to the fullest and party you’re a$$ off!!

The antique meet that was in Eustis for years is no longer there. They have moved their swap meet to the Daytona Area. I am not too fond of the Daytona Area – it seems that there are blue lights everywhere you look. The people in Lake County seem to like us a lot and welcome us with open arms. I have never seen a blue light there and the business people seem to appreciate us coming there. But there are other people that have taken it over and there is going to be an Antique Meet - International Vintage Motorcycle Swap Meet and Bike Show at the Lake County Fairgrounds March 9 – 10 2012. I met one of the people who are putting on the swap meet and they have been doing meets for years. Be sure to see me there and if you don't shame on you. I am sure we will have a good time. The swap meet in Daytona at the Volusha County Fairgrounds has moved also. They are the oldest swap meet people in Florida. Located now at the Daytona Flea Market which is 5 miles from main street near the International Speedway at Tacoma Farm Road. I enjoyed going to that for many years. The people who used to do it at the fairgrounds have moved in town. It is where Spider used to have his swap meet. There is also one at the Volusha County Fairgrounds that you might want to stop by and check out. Also, a friend of mine Danny, asked me to get involved in a Swap Meet at 49th street at the flea market in St Pete. I never did do it and he is holding that once a month on the 2nd Saturday. They have changed the dates of Bike Week in Daytona this year because of the races. It now falls at spring break. I am sure all of the girls will like hanging out with the bikers and vice versa. There will be sure to be a lot of jealous guys. Since the change of dates, a lot of the vendors will come to Webster this year. Before they couldnt because of the dates. There will be a lot of things that you will be able to look at when you are at Webster before they will be in Daytona. See you soon my good looking chick from from Inverness, Denise...

There's a new bike night in Tampa and it's growing every month. Dale 1891 Gastro Pub, located at 11742 N. Dale Mabry Hwy in Tampa is gearing up for its 3rd bike night, MC'd by Radical Randy. Kicks off March 10th from 5pm-10pm with live music, vendors and a ride in bike show sponsored by Attorney Fran Haasch. Mother nature has not been kind with their first two bike nights with temperatures in the low 40's. Even in those conditions we still had a good turn out with 50 plus bikes coming out and supporting this great new venue. Owners Howard and Scott Edelman are going all out to make this the biggest monthly bike night in all of Tampa Bay. Dale 1891 offers 32 different draft beers, a full liquor bar and a variety of Awesome food from their crispy artichoke hearts to their 1891 Angus burger with their homemade beer cheese and bacon. Which I

highly recommend on their pretzel bun. Also voted #1 in Tampa, thanks to Executive Chef Jason Dame. 1891 always has something going on from karaoke, poker, trivia and live music every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Ending every month on the last Saturday with the Ronnie Setser Car Show. If you haven't checked out Dale 1891 Gastro Pub, What are you waiting for? Tell them Teddy sent you. See you in my travels... McDonalds To the rescue Strange things happen at McDonalds! Last month a 45-year old man climbed on top of a communication tower that was mounted on the roof top of a building in downtown Los Angeles, CA and he removed his clothing while he was making the climb! So he sat at the top of the tower totally nude. After hours of negotiations, he was finally lured to the ground by a sack of McDonald’s hamburgers and fries!

would you like pants with that? In other McDonlad’s news a couple was arrested in Michigan for going through the drive in totally naked! They said they were hungry after having sex and raced to the restaurant. They didn’t think anybody would see them as they were going to use the drive through window! Wow .... McDonald’s is quickly catching up to Wal-Mart when it comes to wierd stories!

Make them an offer! Paramount Pictures are suing Mario Puzo’s estate to stop any new “Godfather” novel. The studio says they have exclusive rights and do not want the Godfather legacy tarnished. Damn, if Vito Corleone was alive he would settle this the old fashion way and (here it comes) make the studio an offer they couldn’t refuse!

flying and animals According to the Federal Government, more pets died on Delta Airlines than on any other carrier last year. Of the 35 pets that died, 19 were flying on Delta airplanes. The company says they carry more pets than any other airline and less than one percent are injured or perish.

Space...the final frontier Isn’t it wrong that China is launching three astronauts into space this summer and the USA doesn’t even have a space program? This is something that I feel needs to be corrected and we can’t let China, Russia, Japan and other countries take the lead in space exploration while we sit back and watch. I can see lowering the space budget in these difficult economic times but damn it, to delete it just isn’t right!

no coke....pepsi I went into Burger King and saw the new, state-of-the-art CocaCola machine and it was fantastic! Not only did it look great, it offered numerous drinks (as well as ice) and took up very little space. The machine reorders all supplies and refills it needs electronically by itself via an internet hookup! The machines are being installed at BK, Beef O-Brady’s, Buffalo Wild Wings and Moe’s (to name a few locations).

make sure to lick your fingers Taco Bell will add the “Doritos Locos Taco” starting on March 8. The DLT will sell for $1.29 and $1.69 for a Supreme. A taco shell that is one big Doritio, sounds too good to be true! In other “food news”, The Kellogg Company purchased “Pringles” from Procter & Gamble for about $2.7-billion in cash. It will join the “Keebler” and “Cheez-It” brands in the Kellogg family.

OK...everyone out! It took six years but the last FEMA trailer has finally been removed from the city of New Orleans. At one time there were 23,000 FEMA trailers in the city. It was great having the Federal Government step up and help the people of New Orleans but the jury is still out if they did a good job. It seems the USA goes out of its way to help people in other countires if there is a war, tidal wave or famine but they take their time helping good old Americans!

A flat-chested young lady read an article in a magazine that stated Dr. Bumbutu in Africa could enlarge your breast without surgery. So she decided to go to Dr. Bumbutu to see if he could help her. Dr. Bumbutu advised her, ‘Every day after your shower, rub your chest and say, ‘Scooby doobie doobies, I want bigger boobies!’ She did this faithfully for several months, and to her utter amazement she grew a terrific D-cup rack! One morning she was running late, got on the bus, and in a panic realized she had forgotten her morning ritual. Frightened she might lose her lovely boobs if she didn’t recite the little rhyme, she stood right there in the middle aisle of the bus closed her eyes and said , ‘Scooby doobie doobies, I want bigger boobies.’ A guy sitting nearby looked at her and asked ‘ Are you a patient of Dr Bumbutu’s?’ “Yes I am.. How did you know?’ He winked and whispered, ‘ Hickory dickory dock... ****************************** My wife and I were sitting at a table at her high school reunion, and she kept staring at a drunken man swigging his drink as he sat alone at a nearby table. I asked her, “Do you know him?” “Yes”, she sighed, “He’s my old boyfriend.... I understand he took to drinking right after we split up those many years ago, and I hear he hasn’t been sober since.” “My God!” I said, “Who would think a person could go on celebrating that long?”

Three Irishmen, Paddy, Sean and Seamus, were stumbling home from the pub on St. Patty’s late at night and found themselves on the road which led past the old graveyard. ‘Come have a look over here,’ says Paddy, ‘It’s Michael O’ Grady’s grave, God bless his soul. He lived to the ripe old age of 87.’ ‘That’s nothing, ‘says Sean, ‘here’s one named Patrick O’ Toole, it says here that he was 95 when he died.’ Just then, Seamus yells out, ‘Good God, here’s a fella that got to be 145!’ ‘What was his name?’ asks Paddy. Seamus stumbles around a bit, awkwardly lights a match to see what else is written on the stone marker and exclaims: ‘Miles, from Dublin.’

************************* On St. Patty’s Day Murphy walked into a bar and ordered martini after martini, each time removing the olives ******************************************* and placing them in Two Irish mothers, Kate and Lorna were a jar. Not only hasn’t he not looked at a customer, who was woman in over three years, but he hasn’t puzzled over what touched a drop of liquor in all that time.’ he had been watching him do. “What ‘My word,’ says Kate, ‘You must be so proud.’ was that all about with the olives?” ‘I am,’ announces Lorna, ‘And when he’s “Nothing,” said the Irishman, “my wife paroled next month, I’m going to throw just sent me out for a jar of olives.” him a big party.’

Six retired Italian Floridian fellows were playing poker in the condo clubhouse when Guido loses $500 on a single hand, clutches his chest, and drops dead at the table. Showing respect for their fallen comrade, the other five continue playing, but standing up. At the end of the game, Giovanni looks around and asks, “So, who’s gonna’ tell his wife?” They cut the cards. Pasquale picks the low card and has to carry the news. They tell him to be discreet, be gentle, don’t make a bad situation any worse. “Discreet? I’m the most discreet person you’ll ever meet. Discretion is my middle name. Leave it to me!” So, Pasquale goes over to the Guido’s condo and knocks on the door. The wife answers through the door and asks what he wants? Pasquale declares: “Your husband just lost $500 in a poker game and is afraid to come home.”

“Tell him to drop dead!” yells the wife. “I’ll go tell him.” says Pasquale. **************************************** Q: Why can’t you borrow money from a leprechaun? A: Because they’re always a little short. Q: How did the Irish Jig get started? A: Too much to drink and not enough restrooms! Q: How can you tell if an Irishman is having a good time? A: He’s Dublin over with laughter!
