Hello and welcome to the beginning of Summer here in Florida! It’s going to be hot and wet until probably October so let’s get use to it now and prepare! Be sure to drink lots of water while out riding and pack that rain gear. This also means that we have some great rides and poker runs coming up and the big event season slows down here in Florida but amps up across the northern united states. The Full Throttle 5 Bridge Poker Run is this month on Sunday May 19th. This is a great ride that travels over the 5 major bridges in the Tampa Bay area and ends over the Skyway! We partnered up with Winghouse again this year as they recently opened their new location in Tampa by the Bucs stadium. We will be starting at the Winghouse on Hillsborough Ave. as we have done in the past. The first 100 people who buy poker hands will also get a free t-shirt. There is a $500 prize fund for the top three poker hands and we always give some “non winners” prizes out at the end stop just for fun. For info on this poker run call us at 727-935-4875. We have never really done any motorcycle events in Dunedin before, well, at least since I have been running Full Throttle Magazine. So, when we were approached by the Sheriff’s Youth Ranch and Thrift Store in Dunedin on the corner of the Causeway heading out the Honeymoon island, we jumped at the idea! This is a huge lot with a ton of great stores in it. I met Debi Iannuzzi at a Chamber Event and she was super excited about hosting a car and bike show and asked us for our help putting it on. So, the inaugural Dunedin Bike Fest and car and bike show at the Dunedin Causeway Plaza will be happening on Saturday May 18th from 11am until

8

4pm. We are working with Cricketers also, an amazing British Pub in the plaza who will have a band and will help host all the awards and activities for the day. We hope you can come out and donate as we are raising money for the Sheriff’s Youth Ranch for this event. Vendors wanted free of charge with a suggested donation to the Sheriff’s Youth Ranch. Vendors, please call Shawn R. at 614-352-6461 It’s Almost Soaked and Sore Ass Poker Run Time!!!! 300+ miles ride with seven stops along the way for a great ride and awesome poker run. This year we are heading back to Panama City Beach via US 19 up to Perry Florida and then US 98 across the beautiful Gulf of Mexico. We will be ending at Panama City Beach HarleyDavidson where the awards will be. AS A BONUS THIS YEAR…. Sunday morning, if you are interested, we will be doing a second leg of the Sore Ass Run. We will be re-registering everyone Sunday morning at Harley and riding to New Orleans, LA. This will also be a seven-card poker run ending at New Orleans Harley-Davidson. We had a lot of people ask us to do this, so we hope you join us on the unique Soaked and Sore Ass Poker Run this year! For info call us at 727-935-4875. Remember, the official ride is to Panama City Beach and you do not have to do the second part if you do not want to or do not have the time. Everyone who does the ride to Panama City Beach will receive their t-shirt, patch and certificate on Saturday at Harley. There is another big event on the way as well, The Bert’s Biker Jam on Labor Day Weekend August 30th, 31st and Sept 1st!!! This is going to be like a mini Expo with live music, tons of events and lots to do at the New Bert’s Barracuda Property on 49th street in Pinellas Park across from the Lube! We are working on bands and sponsors and vendors for this event now so if you are interested in this three-day event, contact Full Throttle Magazine at 727-9354875 or e-mail me at Tonyc@floridafullthrottle.com Happy birthday to my Aunt Debi and my sister-in-law Christine and of course to me!!! Happy Mother’s Day to all you mom’s out there, especially my mom Mary in Toledo, Love ya mama, and my step-mom Tracy, love ya!!! Be safe, be smart, make good choices and don’t drink and ride and I’ll see you soon!

What are the biggest mistakes riders make? I get this question a lot. The biggest mistake riders make is NOT using your head and eyes. Exactly, what does that mean? First, it means looking where you want to go verses looking at where you don't want to go. Since your hands follow your eyes, if you look at the car that just pulled out in front of you, chances are, you're going to hit that car. This is also known as "target fixation". If you're on a winding road and you look at the center line, guard rail, edge of the road, or an oncoming vehicle, chances are you'll head right into any one of those obstacles. In fact, the most common crash that involves just the rider is still, failure to negotiate a turn. Studies have shown in every case, the motorcycle could have made the curve; however, the rider looked in all the wrong places. Even when going straight down the road, head and eyes is still of the utmost importance. Keep your head and eyes up and look 12 seconds ahead of your path of travel. Do that and you'll have 12 seconds to see and react to a potential hazard. The second biggest mistake is never practicing emer-

16

gency braking. If you have no idea how long it will take you to stop from a given speed, you are in deep trouble. That's where the phrase "panic stopping" comes from. If you've practiced your braking skills, there will be no reason to panic since you'll know exactly how your bike will react to maximum braking. This is especially important if your bike is not equipped with ABS brakes. However, even with ABS, you should practice braking from any speed you're likely to ride. Mistake number three? Buying a 900 lb. bike when you're having problems handling the 500 lb. bike you're currently riding. Or, buying the 900 lb. bike when you haven't ridden any kind of motorcycle for 20 years or more. I see this mistake weekly at my Ride Like a Pro class. A rider shows up with a new Ultra and has no clue how to use the clutch and throttle, head and eyes or anything else for that matter. These riders always say the same thing, "I never had a problem with my Sportster" or whatever mid-size bike they had. I'll then put them on my Sportster training bike and find that they had no skills on the smaller bike either. They were simply able to muscle the smaller bike around and duck walk it easier than the 900 lb. bike they now have. To avoid these mistakes, get some training. Learn to use your head and eyes. Practice maximum braking from various speeds and don't get a bigger bike until you've mastered the bike you have now. Don’t forget to stop by to see our rider skills shows at the Leesburg Bike Fest this month. We’ll be performing all weekend at the USB Parking lot at the corner of 5th and Magnolia. We’ll have all our dvds and book for sale at our booth for you to purchase. “Motorman” www.ridelikeapro.com

Hey Y'all ! Looking back at the past month I cant believe the overwhelming feeling of sisterhood that I have felt. The All Female Rider day in Jacksonville Florida is a memory that I will never forget. Passing other women riders on the other side of the Dames Point Bridge was just priceless. Riding the bridge with police closing down the interstate for the importance of this freedom ride was a feeling of pure pride. Jenn Brew and her team put on an amazing weekend that was nothing short of magnificent !!!! May 4th, 2019 is an exciting day for me, I am humbled to be able to lead the ride for the 13th International Female Rides Day in Homosassa FL, In honor of the predecessor, Linda Dalton with Road Queen USA . The Event will start and end at Crystal River Harley Davidson, there will be an approximate hour long ride through the beautiful back roads. The Band of Brothers, MC will

40

be making sure the riders are on track with the ride and all return safely to Harley. Linda Dalton will be there to kick off the event. I would like to thank all the sponsors FRAN HAASCH LAW GROUP, Full Throttle Magazine, Sassy Wind Sisters, Crystal River Harley Davidson, JSizzle Concepts, All around the clock bail bonds, BWW,CMA, and Team Farrell. This event will have food trucks Circle S Bbq and Grub tub. 50/50 raffles, gift baskets and more. I can promise you this is an event you don’t want to miss!!! The month of May will be busy for Full Throttle. We have a lot going on so make sure you check out or facebook page and grab a magazine. If your business wants to do a ride or event , Full Throttle Magazine is the best way to get the word out with 22 years in the biker community planning rides and events we can definitely meet your needs. Looking forward to seeing everyone out and about 2 wheels down. Ride safe out there , much love and respect. #livelaughcake Tracy

Wow, what a month we have had. With the weather being so nice our bike nights and events have been huge. Getting those last enjoyable rides in before the Florida heat comes back. We all know Leesburg is the start of the summer bake, lol. We were invited to two new bike events this month. One was Arcadia Bike fest and the other was Englewood bike night. We hosted a Full throttle Bike Show at both events and they turned out amazing. You must put these on your calendar of events. Two fantastic events. Thank you to both promoters for bringing us down. We are finally settled into our new Offices. We had kind of a soft opening already, which was nice. We are planning on our first real bike night of May the

29th from 6 till 10. Cold drinks, live music, great food and biker games. Come out and have some fun the Full Throttle way. Let me take a moment to talk about Circle S Barbecue Bike Night. We started a bike night there on the second Tuesday of each month. This one has it all. What a great place. Also, did I mention they have some of the best barbecue around. You don't want to miss this one May the 14th from 6 till 10. I would like to throw out a big thank you to our friends from 98 rock. AJ and Deuce for the 98 rock fest tickets. What a good time. I could go on and on about April, but I think that is enough for now. We are so busy and just getting started for the summer. Like always. Ride free and be safe. Full Throttle is more than just a monthly magazine … more than just a website … more than just assorted motorcycle events … Full Throttle is a way of life and it has been the major part of my family’s life for many years. Full Throttle has created lifelong friendships and added people to my family. Last month we lost one of those valued family members when Big Al Fucito passed away. I first met Big AL over 22 years ago at the old Miami Subs in New Port Richey. He wanted me to write a story about his beloved Harley-Davidson motorcycle. I met him and we walked over to his bike and it would not start! He was flabbergasted and shocked. I laughed so hard I had tears in my eyes and that was the start of our relationship. Big Al and his wonderful wife Norma became a part of my family … never missing a birthday, holiday party or Super Bowl Party … he became my partner in the old Full Throttle Café … he helped teach my wife Tracy how to ride a motorcycle … he became Tony’s “Motorcycle Dad” as they rode together to Daytona and on numerous “Sore Ass” Rides … he was always there to voice his opinion and give advice to myself and Tony - even if we didn’t want to hear it! Big Al will be remembered and terribly missed. He was one hell of a man and my entire family was proud to call him a friend and a family member. We love you Big Al, RIP buddy By Paul Allen

Welcome to the first summer addition of the Back Yard. As many of you know we lost one of the pioneers of Full Throttle Magazine. Big Al left this world to go join that bike rally in the sky. RIP Big Al. I will miss you on all my travels. But one thing Big Al always loved was to see all his friends on the motorcycle community and always wanted people to have fun and enjoy life and that’s just what we are going to do. Summer is when so many bikers hit the road heading to events all around this great country. When you head out always ride safe and check listing for states have helmet laws. And speaking of that. June 15th and 16th we are doing for the 1st time ever a 2 day Soaked and Sore Ass Run. On the Saturday we ride form the

44

Tampa area up to Panama City FL. Then in day 2 we ride from Panama City to New Orleans LA. It will be one hell of a fun ride, but a reminder that Alabama, Mississippi and Louisiana have helmet laws so bring your lids. Then in August it’s the 79th Sturgis Rally and Full Throttle Magazine will be back at the Legendary Buffalo Chip. Check out the music line up for this year. It is the most verity line up ever in Sturgis. Something for everyone from Old school rock n roll to new age bang you head rock. Also, Country fans will have plenty to wave their hats and Rappers they got you covered also. So, make you plans to join us at Buffalo Chip. If you haven’t made your camping reservations make sure you do that soon and see you there. Well that’s about all from the back yard. Ride safe everyone and remember. Always keep your stick on the ice.. MONGO

FROM WALL STREET TO MAIN STREET WALL STREET RIDES Invest Smart | Ride Safe Michelle Osborne www.fromwallstreettomainstreet.com mosborne@capesecurities.com Office: 754-MONEYAM /754-666-3926 Cell 727-459-4875 Office 727-290-2762 “Getting the income you need from your investments…. for retirement, settlement dollars, inheritances or current investment portfolio” mosborne@capesecurities.com This month we are going to talk about a few options that may help you derive meaningful income from your hard-earned dollars while reducing risk, as well as ways to effectively position your money and optimize your interaction with Uncle Sam. I know a lot of people that love to ride, and most of the time, riders that have successful journeys make sure they have gas in their tank, provisions in their bags, and an understanding of the roads they are about to travel down. With retirement nearing for many in our biking community, it is increasingly vital that you carefully examine your financial gas tank, investment provisions bag, and your map for the financial road ahead. This means, understanding the income level you will need, how long you may need that income to last, and what challenging tax implications you could be facing in retirement? Have you ever wondered how your investments could generate income for life? Well, there are several investment vehicles that can provide you with income for life, but you may need a vehicle that also has the opportunity to grow your principal. Many of my clients are enjoying the benefits of increased income while still retaining the opportunity for principal growth. Speak-

ing of retirement, some of my clients have decided that they are now ready to sell their business and/or real estate assets (rental homes, apartment complexes, commercial buildings, etc.). We call this getting rid of the toilets, trash, and tenant obligations. In some cases, selling your real estate investment holdings could cost you as much as 35% in taxes, but I have been helping my clients with situations like this throughout my career. So, when it comes to selling your real estate or your business, contact us PRIOR TO the sale so we can explain your options and explore the possibility of never paying a dime in capital gains tax. This could help preserve your sales proceeds, remove your property management obligations, and capture an income level that may otherwise be greatly reduced. So, whether you are rolling over your retirement assets, selling your business, selling your real estate investments, or receiving a settlement from an accident, I will use my expertise and work diligently to make your principal work for you as hard for you as you worked for it. I take a helicopter approach to investing that includes every aspect of your financial house including your income, tax situation, and family legacy. With so many options out there, it is hard to determine how to get the most from your money without specialized advice. Call me, I can help. HAPPY RIDING!

and help the kids?

Hello from Erock’s World. I would like to start off by saying thank you to each and every one of you for all your support for Full Throttle Magazine. I would also like to remind everyone about the poker run and bike show that we have coming up. We will have the 5 Bridge’s Poker Run on May 19th starting at the Wing House of Tampa. We will also be at the Dunedin Bike Fest on May 18. I hope everyone will come out for this event, as it is to support the kids at the Florida Sheriffs children Youth Ranch. This is a wonderful cause, who doesn't want to step up 54

We are equally as excited to have the soaked and sore ass run coming up June 15th and 16th. This event will start at Circle S BBQ and will be going to Panama City on day one. To make this event even better for those who are up for the challenge, on the second day for anyone who would like will travel to New Orleans. This will be a beautiful ride. I hope to see you all there. In the coming months we will continue to have bike nights at our office. We are making changes to ensure that they are better for everyone to enjoy, and we will also be adding more events as always. Hope to see everyone out. Erock out!

Harley Davidson® introduced the GTS radio with Carplay® in 2019 and customers with older bikes are looking for a way to retrofit them. Unfortunately, the GTS radio will not work in the 2014 to 2016 models at all, and the 2017-2018 models require first changing out the ECM, BCM, ABS module and instrument cluster to 2019 model year equipment. These parts are about $2,000.00 alone and take about 5 hours to install and code properly; and that does not include the $1899.00 additional cost of the GTS radio. Plus, the retrofitted 2019 ABS module throws codes which could become problematic, or even affect the factory warranty. We knew we had to find a way to offer our clients a seamless GTS radio retrofit and reached out to NAV-TV for help.” After months of product development, NAV-TV® and Soundz are pleased to announce the release of the SC-GTSi head unit replacement interface for 2014 to 2018 Harley Davidson® motorcycles. The SC-GTSi, offered exclusively through Soundz, is a plug-and-play interface that allows the 2019 GTS radio with Apple Carplay® to be seamlessly installed into 2014 to 2018 motorcycles. The interface requires no control unit replacement, no coding and does not affect the factory warranty. The module is transparent to both the factory Harley Davidson® and Techno Research® diagnostic, troubleshooting and tuning computer systems. In addition, all factory functions of the radio and motorcycle are retained.

700 Ridgewood Ave #107, Holly Hill, FL 32117 386-256-2200

The SC-GTSi is available at an MSRP of $449.99, including a plug-and-play T-harness to integrate with the factory wiring and a mounting bracket for the interface. For a complete turn-key solution, Soundz also offers a package that includes the GTS Radio with Carplay®, model specific coding for the radio, the SC-GTSi interface, T-harness and mounting bracket for $2,348.99.
