October is finally here and we are into the holiday season! Hopefully that means the damn rain will slow down and we can start getting back to regular bike nights. I am tired of all this rain! Here at Full Throttle our schedule is getting more packed every day! There are a ton of events coming up and we hope to see everyone out at them. Remember if you have any event that you would like to advertise, we are here to help! Our ad rates are still low right now so lock them in for 2022. in January our ad rates will be raising slightly as the cost of paper has increased and so has the price of almost everything else like gas and postage. So, get with us now and sign a contract at the 2021 prices! Call us at 727-935-4875 or email me at tonyc@floridafullthrottle.com October has some big events we are looking forward to. First is the WCFR Downtown Block Party 2.0. This will have Greg Billings at his second to last performance playing, a Full Throttle Bike Show and tons of vendors. This event is cool as it is held under the 275 overpass, and it is shielded from the weather. Second is Cotee River Bike Fest in Downtown New Port Richey. This event is always a ton of fun as the event is held in the city park and uses their band shell for the big performances. There are some great bands playing this year! After Cotee River Bike Fest is, of course, Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach. This is very much like a smaller Bike Week but only runs Thursday thru Sunday! Full Throttle will be hosting three different bike shows this year. Thursday night at the Grandview Live, Friday the World-Famous Boardwalk

Bike Show and a bike show on Saturday at Space Coast Harley-Davidson. Then on October 23rd we will be hosting a Golf Tournament with Good Morning Clearwater benefiting Corso’s For Hero’s and on October 24th is the HIUGE celebration and appreciation party for Attorney Fran Haasch at Quaker Steak and Lube. It doesn’t end there as we have the Full Throttle Magazine 25th Anniversary Party at Bert’s Barracuda and OCC Road House, St. Pete Bike Fest and Leesburg Bike Fest in November a few weeks later! These are all huge events that draw thousands of bikers from all over the state of Florida. Start making your calendars because you are not going to want to miss any of these huge events. Are you interested in having an event at your location? Do you not know where to start with the planning? We do, we have been hosting events for 25 years and we know what we are doing. We can help book bands and stages along with the sound crew. Port a potty, chairs, tables, etc. I could go on with a laundry list of items you never thought you knew you would need, but WE DO! We are here to help! If you would like to host an event at your location and don’t want all the work that comes along with that event, call us and let’s sit down and put a plan together. We can help from the advertising to logo design to picking up trash at the end of the event!

Happy fall, it's officially here. We have so much in store this October I ran out of room on our work calendar! All the events can be found on our Facebook page and website! I want to give a shout out to a new group I am helping with called the “West Coast Biker Guardian Angels' ' which is a group of mostly bikers, some who lost family members to motorcycles and just people who want to be involved in a good cause. They stand at busy intersections waving handmade signs to “look twice” “watch for motorcycles” and the like. George Frabotta is in charge of finding locations and bringing people together for motorcycle awareness .Please find their next roadside event on the “ West coast biker guardian angels” facebook page or our event listings. Anyone and everyone is welcome, biker or not.

George has lost many family members and friends to careless drivers and it is his passion to save lives. And he is having an impact reaching thousands of drivers in an afternoon. I give them a little social media help but any credit goes to George and David Godwin for all they have done. And thank you Fran Haasch for donating the safety cones and megaphones that's been a huge help ! Hope to see you in October, I am still not better from the Aug covid stuff, it hit me pretty hard from changing my vision to heart problems. Thanks for the patience and love everyone has shown me. Let the focus not be on who is vaccinated or not , let it be on how this was ever allowed to occur. Peace and love to the biker world, Laurie Jo

Diva Angels Pasco Chapter hosted our 14th Annual Chili Fundraiser on Saturday, September 18th at the Sail Inn located in Brooksville Fl. With the help of our gracious hosts of Sail Inn, Kay and Elrod, all of the volunteers and guests, we were able to raise $1,071. In which, all proceeds were donated to “Helping Children in Need of Pasco/Hernando County”. So a BIG thank you to everyone who turned out to help and support our yearly event. What’s next? We are gearing up for the fall and winter fun activities and planning ride days for those cooler fundays! Are you ready to ride with us?

No? Not yet? How many times have you seen a female rider and thought, “Was that a woman riding a motorcycle by herself?” Ummm Yes! You don’t need to be the backrest for someone else! Riding your own motorcycle is like no other freedom, a feeling you’ve never felt before. When women ride together, our conversations are extremely normal and some might be surprised — fashion, hair, money, marriage.. We are the same on a bike as we are at work or at home. Come join us for a ride!! But wait! So what does it take to become a member of the Diva Angels? It’s so easy! We ask that you first attend one of our monthly meetings. Held on the 1st Friday of each month. Meet the ladies and if we are a fit for you, then you’ll join our chapter and become a National member. That’s it! Interested? Visit our Facebook page @divaangelspasco or the website DivaAngels.org

A Non-Compete or Non-Competition Agreement in Florida is governed by Chapter 542.335, Florida Statutes and can exist as a standalone document or as an individual clause in a broader contract that may also contain a non-disclosure covenant and/or non-solicitation covenant. I have seen all types of businesses use non-competition agreements, including doctors, medical practices, hair salons, medical device manufacturers, HAVAC companies, car dealerships, construction companies, pest control companies, roofing companies, financial service companies etc. Non-competition agreements are valid if they (1) are reasonable in geographic scope (the geographic area of the restriction; United States, Florida, Pinellas County, or a milage radius of the business seeking the protection); (2) reasonable in the time restriction (depending on the specifics of the business and employee, the restriction could be deemed reasonable if 6 months or less and in other situations where 5 years is presumed reasonable); (3) identify a legitimate business interest (“LBI) to be protected including identifying the line of work the business is in and the LBI to be protected such as: trade secrets, valuable confidential business information such as customer lists (if qualified), business know how, customer good-will, a specific geographic location, a specific marketing or trade area, or extra-ordinary or specialized training , and are (5) signed by the party whom enforcement if sought against. Non-Competition Agreements (or clauses) exist to protect companies from losing their employees, and the insider knowledge they possess, to their direct competitors. Florida law says “A court shall construe a restrictive covenant in favor of providing reasonable protection to all legitimate busi-
ness interests established by the person seeking enforcement .” If this sounds reasonable, that is because many non-competes do serve a legitimate purpose. However, if you are being hurt by an agreement that you may not even recall signing or its terms, then you may want to consult with an attorney that specializes in handling these types of matters. If you have a question about a non-competition agreement (or any other legal matter) or need to enforce one against someone or are trying to get out of one, call our office to set up a free 30 minute appointment by telephone or Zoom to discuss your case (just mention this article). Together we can work on a strategy to help you with your desired results.

Are we truly able to achieve “freedom”? “I ride because I feel free.”; the one statement we hear most when discussing why we ride. Isn’t it? But what are we seeking freedom from? And, if we desire freedom, are we not making ourselves slaves to that desire? Freedom from what, from who? Freedom from pain? Freedom from an abusive soul supposed to love us? Freedom from a government we disagree with? Freedom from emotions we can’t get rid of? Freedom from addictions? WEBSTER defines freedom as follows; “the quality or state of being free such as the absence of necessity, coercion, or constraint in choice or action; liberation from slavery or restraint or from the power of another: INDEPENDENCE, the quality or state of being exempt or released usually from something onerous, freedom from care, unrestricted use, the quality of being frank, open, or outspoken, answered with freedom, boldness of conception or execution” “There is no easy walk to freedom anywhere, and many of us will have to pass through the valley of the shadow of death again and again before we reach the mountaintop of our desires.” and “A freedom fighter learns the hard way that it is the oppressor who defines the nature of the struggle, and the oppressed is often left no recourse but to use methods that mirror those of the oppressor. At a point, one can only fight fire with fire” Nelson Mandela Sounds great does it not? But underneath that what is there? What is it about? Really? On one hand we can see all this as a blessing but on the other hand does it not sound deeply rooted in the “me me me” mentality? This “me me me” mentality we all detest because it reveals poisonous selfishness in the human heart from the beginning of time? The “me me me” mentality that insidiously penetrates the heart of an unhappy spouse resulting in selfish betrayal or abandonment? The “me me me” mentality of entitled individuals? The “me me me” mentality of those who love to play victims? I don’t have answers to all these questions but I do have the questions and the more I reflect the more is revealed to my mind. What is this life about? Really? Seeking freedom? For who? For what purpose? I actually feel most free when I don’t seek or
claim my freedom. I feel most free when I give. I feel most free in altruism. I feel most free when I let go. I feel most free when I take the high road responding to anger with kindness. “A soft answer turns away wrath”. Ever tried that? It powerfully discombobulates your adversaries and defuses the most heated conflicts. Do I feel free when I ride? If I am honest, not really but I feel closer to the rawness of this beautiful creation. Truth is none of us will ever be free and the moment we accept this reality we start falling into place feeling free from the burden of our prideful rebellion against the required humility to become decent humans. We suffer from the illusion we are not free when we seek freedom yet we realize our freedom when we let go. “The truth shall set you free” Jesus said to the Jews back in His days. What truth? Truth about what? What is the truth? I will share one thing with you; I personally went through and continue at times to experience what I feel to be the most incredibly abusive evil persecution of lies I thought a human could go through by people who were supposed to love unconditionally. The one thing I can honestly tell you helped me beyond any imaginable hope was an uncompromising search for truth in all that encompassed my existence. That is, emotions, mental, physical, spiritual and any and all situations I faced. “What is true?” Was and continue to be the question about every detail in my life at times of reflection, studies and hardships for myself, my children, those I love and those who are not so lovable. This question guided me in understanding and forgiveness of myself and others. This question even helped me gain understanding and compassion for those most difficult to love. Watch the movie “The Shack” and you will understand the power of what I am saying. I do not excuse evil but understanding those who fall prey of its lies provided me with the most incredible sensation of freedom I could ever pursue on my own. So if you ask me why I ride I will tell you because in those moments, in the open air, there is a space that is intentionally created for the path to understanding. www.facebook.com/floridanighttrain
