September is a great month here in Florida…. Why would I say that… it’s really the lull before the storm for the biker community! October starts our great riding weather and the beginning of our season! We start with Sept. and the Phil Peterson’s Key West Poker Run. It’s kind of like the last big summer ride and event. There are usually thousands on the ride and it is always super super hot. Oh yes, and FOOTBALL STARTS IN SEPTEMBER!!!! If you know me, you know I love NFL and college football and fantasy football! ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL!?!?! I would like to take this time and welcome a new HarleyDavidson owner to the area. Bert King, Owner of Bert’s Black Widow Harley-Davidson in Port Charlotte and now the new owner of the previous “Jim’s Harley-Davidson” now called Bert’s Barracuda Harley-Davidson. I have sat and talked with Bert and I love what he is bringing to the table and the new ideas he has for this dealership. First, when you walk in you will notice the FREE BEER & DRINK STATION. YES, you read that correctly, they always have FREE BEER AND DRINKS at Bert’s Barracuda! Second is the Cuda Girls, I don’t think I need to explain that one much to everyone. So come in and see the new 2017’s, ride a bike and have a good time. We are very excited to be working with them and helping introduce Bert to the area. Be sure to stop by and see Bert and tell him Tony from Full Throttle Sent ya! Full Throttle is joining up with Achieva Credit Union and we will be making a soap box derby car for their race on Oct. 22nd! We would like to get as many bikers there cheering us on as possible! We are building a motorcycle themed box car.... yes, with ape hangers and all, for the races. Then, after the races, we will be auctioning it off at our Anniversary Party in November and donating whatever it raises 100% to Achieva and their charities! This should be fun, come on bikers and join in!!!! I AM CHALLENGING YOU!! Be sure to make your plans for the Phil Peterson’s Key West Poker Run coming up Sept. 15th – 18th. Full Throttle will be there taking pictures and live streaming the ride and all the shenanigans while doing that ever popular Duval crawl. This is a great ride straight down US1 with a winner take all $10k Cash grand prize! They also do a bike show on Duval street on Saturday with Road Rage Magazine with over 30 classes from 9am till 3pm. For info on this ride visit petersonsharley.com. We will be announcing our HEADLINER ACT for the FLORIDA MOTORCYCLE EXPO AND BIKE BUILDER INVITATIONAL 2017 in next month’s issue. This year we moved the dates of the Expo back a few weeks to February 17th – 19th. We are hoping for a little better weather than in January. We are starting to take vendor applications as well, our spots ARE NOT first come first serve, our booth spaces are numbered. Go to our website FloridaFullThrottle.com, print out the form and pick your spot today! The longer you wait, the less likely you are to get the space you want. AND VENDOR SPACES WILL SELL OUT!!! They have the past 4 years in a row! Call us today 727-935-4875. We are still setting up SPONSORS for the Expo now. If you are interested, all sponsorship come with a 12-month advertising agreement in Full Throttle Magazine. Now that’s a great deal. We are very Excited for Biketoberfest and the AIMEXPO this year as we will have multiple booths set up at both locations. This is the first year that Full Throttle will be having a booth set up at the AIMEXPO in Orlando the same weekend at Biketoberfest in Daytona Beach. I will be there Thursday and Sunday. We also have our normal booths at The Daytona International Speedway and Dirty Harry’s as well as our Bike Shows on Friday at the Daytona Beach Boardwalk and Saturday at the Daytona International Speedway! It will be a busy weekend for sure so stop by and say hi to us in booth #875 at the AIMEXPO or all over Daytona Beach! I would like to wish some belated happy birthdays to my mother in law MOMTA and any Sister In Law, Desiree. Love ya and sorry I missed it in last month’s magazine. Please pay attention while riding out there. BE A DEFENSIVE RIDER, we have had way too many accidents and fatalities this summer. Be safe, be smart, don’t drink and ride and I’ll see you soon!

FAILURE TO NEGOTIATE A TURN If you've ridden a motorcycle for any length of time, I'd be willing to bet at some point you've ridden into a turn a little too fast. If you were lucky, you made it through the turn without low siding, running into an oncoming vehicle or going over a cliff. The fact that you made it through the turn without crashing doesn't mean you're a skillful rider, it just means you're a lucky one. The most common type of motorcycle crash that involves just the motorcyclist is failure to negotiate a turn. What happens in these situations, the rider gets into a turn and thinks he's going too fast to complete the turn. He then makes mistake number one...he tenses up his arms and shoulders making them rigid, and tenses up his grip on the bars. In order to complete the turn, the rider needs to push forward on the low side grip; however, with the upper body so tense and rigid, it becomes very difficult to push on that grip. Thus, the bike will continue widening its arc through the curve. As the rider realizes his turn is getting even wider, he makes mistake number two...he looks at the very thing he doesn't want to hit such as the edge of the road, the oncoming car, etc. Since your hands follow your eyes, he's now steering right toward the obstacle. More panic sets in and mistake number three occurs... He lets off the throttle and the bike starts to straighten up. That causes the turn to become even wider, which of course puts the bike even closer to the very thing he doesn't want to hit. Now, if the motorcycle Gods are watching over him and all the planets are aligned, the rider just barely makes the turn. Everything I just described happens in a matter of seconds or less, depending on the rider's speed. I see this very scenario unfold several times a day at my training classes during the offset cone weave exercise. The only difference being, the riders' speed is only 10 or 12 mph and the obstacle is a rubber cone. The question then is how to avoid this kind of thing from happening to you out on the road. The answer of course is to practice proper technique under controlled conditions. The first thing to do is remember to relax. The bike is just an extension of your arms and hands; stay loose and the bike will turn with very little effort. Next, you must use your head and eyes and look ONLY where you want to go. You must look at that point as soon as possible. In other words, focus on the end of the turn, not where you're going at the moment. If you're relaxed, your hands will follow your eyes and the bike will go where you're looking. Since the head and eyes technique is the opposite of your instincts, it must be practiced in a repetitious manner until it becomes instinctual. While you can practice the technique out on the road at high speeds, keep in mind, until you get the hang of it, you're going to make a few mistakes. It's a lot safer to make a mistake at 10 mph in an empty parking lot rather than at 40 mph on the street. Even after all these years, I still get a thrill watching one of my students when they finally get it right and turn their head and eyes and the bike smoothly completes a turn with the boards leaving a trail of sparks. The rider is even more thrilled. Consequently, he/she wants to do it over and over again. The rider loves the feeling of being in complete control of his motorcycle. All fear disappears as the rider gains more and more confidence. As your confidence and skills grow, so does your riding enjoyment and your safety. Learn how to use your head and eyes to the extreme. The more you use that technique, the better the rider you'll become. If you train properly, the next time you get into a turn with a little too much speed, instead of panicking, you'll revert to your training and look toward the end of the turn and you'll make it through without all the drama I described earlier. In the late 70's, a motorcycle crash study was performed in California called the Hurt Study (you can look it up on the internet). Hundreds of "failure to negotiate a turn" crashes were studied. It was found that in every case, the motorcycle was capable of making the turn at the speed the rider was going. In other words, it was the rider's lack of skill that caused the crash, not the speed or road conditions. Don't become a statistic. Learn the proper techniques and use those techniques every time you ride. Copyright 2016 – Jerry “Motorman” Palladino WWW.RIDELIKEAPRO.COM

FROM WALL STREET TO MAIN STREET
Wall Street Rides, LLC/Michelle Osborne www.wallstreetrides.com 84444WSRIDES In today's environment it's not how much money
you earn; its how much you keep that is also just as important. As we have all worked too hard to earn every dollar we have made. You might think the money is safe in your personal bank account or under the mattress, this will cost you dearly. Don't let this be you because the average rate of inflation is approximately 3% over many years. We all remember what we paid for our first house and what it is worth today. I paid $25,000 for my first house and today it would sell for $275,000. Everyone needs to pay close attention not only to their affairs but their aging parents affairs as well. It can be unsettling for investors when their portfolios and the markets start heading into the red. Here are six investing basics to keep in mind during volatile times. 1. Periods of volatility are normal- All markets move in cycles, and periods of steep contraction are completely normal. While the length of market downturns varies, periods of growth and expansion are usually waiting on the other side. Since 1973, stocks have fallen more than 10 percent and subsequently rebounded eight times. 2. Don't panic - Letting emotions dictate your investing strategy is a risk you shouldn't take. Short-term decisions can have long-term consequences on your portfolio. Being patient can pay dividends. 3. Know your portfolio - Understand your investments and how specific assets represent
and outcomes. Keep in mind your risk tolerance and investment timeline, and if either has changed, consider talking to us about what works for you. 4. Stay the course - Remember your financial plan and long-term goals and stick to them. A disciplined approach is the best strategy for handling market downturns and will likely enable you to participate when the markets rebound. 5. Consider opportunities - Working with your financial advisor, determine whether periods of volatility are a good time to take advantage of investment opportunities in line with your long-term plan. 6. You're not alone - I am here and available to help you when you need it. I can guide you through difficult markets and be the independent voice that helps you stay focused on your long-term goals. Give us a call as we take a holistic approach and look at everything you have that affects yours, your family's or your business's financial future. Most people don't realize the importance of reviewing their overall financial health, which can include your family, your aging parents, your business affairs until it's too late. That’s when we usually get the call, too late. We are here to help you through the COMPLETE PROCESS. "IFS Securities, Inc. requests that you do not transmit orders by e-mail. Hi All, It's been another busy month for Full Throttle! I didn't go this year to Sturgis because family was going to be in town but the guys headed there and had a couple of pretty good bike shows. You might have seen me attending a couple of the events at Quaker and Yard of Ale. Let me share some information with you that I got from Brian from Stitch On Time - Stitch On Time is the original memory foam motorcycle seat builder and is recognized as one of the top seat builders in the USA. They’ve been servicing the riding community and Florida’s motorcycle dealerships for over 20 years and they guarantee the comfort and craftsmanship of every seat using products and materials made in the USA. They specialize in fit and comfort no matter your size or the kind of bike you ride. They can even make your stock seat more comfortable and, yes, they do trikes also! Rider comfort, which is often overlooked in favor of style, is incorporated into the seats which have garnered their customers trophies from the Rat’s Hole Custom Bike Shows and countless other shows throughout Florida and around the world. They can offer you a choice of exotic finishes in marine grade vinyl as well as several different leather choices, including Florida alligator. They can also incorporate intricate art work, club patches, and tribal designs into the seat design making your ride as good looking as it is comfortable. All of the work is done at their St. Petersburg shop where quick turnaround has made them the top choice. They will even provide you a loaner seat if needed, subject to availability. Whether it’s a custom built show bike or a daily ride, your bike deserves the best. Let Stitch On Time give your seat an upgrade and convert your bike into a one-of-a-kind ride that you’ll be proud to own. The fall riding season is upon us, don’t delay, call today - (727) 526-7242. Don't forget to check out the ad each month in the Full Throttle Magazine too. If you are interested in being a part of my monthly article give me a call! Till then....live life to the fullest and party your a$$ off! Dew

What’s up Bikers?! Well, the Full Throttle Crew took the back yard to Sturgis in August and what a ride it was. We set up camp at the Legendary Buffalo Chip for 10 days and we had a blast. It was great to bring Georgia Boy to Sturgis since the last time he was here was almost 30 years ago. Got to meet some great friends and even ran into to old friends from right here in Florida. The concert lineup was amazing with acts such as Willie Nelson, Lita Ford, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Kidd Rock and so much more. Full Throttle had 2 big ride in bike shows at the Chip with some of the most beauti44
ful bikes in the US in our show. If you have never been to the Black Hills Rally, make sure you make this trip. Great places to ride from Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse Monuments to Needles Highway and the Badlands. Someplace to go every day or just hang at Buffalo Chip and catch all the happening there. Also, I want to thank Master Lugo for the re-upholstering my seat and seat rest for my bike. Master Lugo can be found at all major bike events across the country or at sometimes of the year right here at Quaker Steak and Lube in Clearwater. Ride safe everyone and remember Always keep your stick on the ice. MONGO.

This month I had the pleasure of interviewing JUDI TAULBEE, of ANYTIME REALTY 2975 BeeRidge Rd., Unit A, Ste. 4 Sarasota, FL 34239 & 2563 N. Toledo Blade Blvd., Ste. 3 North Port, FL 34289 941-564-6358 main number office juditaulbee@verizon.net www.AnyTimeJudi.com Facebook: AnyTimeJudiTaulbee 941-544-6277 JUDI’S CELL This is a really neat company to deal with, and JUDI TAULBEE is an outstanding agent! Judi has been a realtor for 11 years. Before that, she was an agent for Great American, Green Lion, and Michael Saunders. She went with ANYTIME REALTY because they have a great marketing plan. Not only are you on THEIR WEBSITE (wwwAnyTimeJudi.com), your home is on many websites (eight others, including Google.com, realtor.com, Trulia.com, and Zillow.com. Judi has over 50 OUTSTANDING reviews on Zillow too!)! It is no wonder that she is in the top sales in her office of more than 20 agents. Judi has closed on 50 homes this past year! But, that’s not ONLY what makes JUDI TAULBEE (56) such an interesting woman: In her own words, she is DRIVEN, CARING, and ACTIVE. Judi is from Miami, Fl. (a true FLORIDA native!). Many years ago, she was featured in SARASOTA SCENE magazine. Judi’s family inspires her the most. She works out at the gym every day, plays racquetball 3 days a week, karate 3 days a week. Wow, how does she find the time to fit it all in! BUT, she does! And she does it ALL with a smile on her face (not a fake one either!). These are the things Judi LOVES to do (besides real estate). What do you offer? “Great, caring service. People are like family to me. I care about them like my own. I sell all kinds of real estate: Single Family Homes, Condos, Villas, Townhomes, and Waterfront homes.” What makes you different than most realtors? “CARING! I always have your best interest at heart.” How did you get started being a realtor? “I did mortgages’ for 7 years. My mortgage broker was a realtor as well, and for years I did both. That is what got me interested in real estate, and I had always wanted to be a realtor. I have always had interest in properties.” What are your future plans? “To keep moving along loving life !” Three things you love? “Camping, Traveling, Karate” What are things you dislike? “Politics and animal cruelty” Why be a realtor? “Because you get to help people make a big decision that will bring a lot of joy and happiness. It is the biggest purchase you will make. I want to get the best deal for my clients.” What is your greatest achievement? “Martial arts! I’ve been in Karate for 13 years which I have earned my 3rd degree black belt (working
56
on my 4th). I have my black belt in Tae Kwon Do of which I spent 8 years in that martial art. On another note, I have been married for 34 years to my wonderful and loving husband Greg, and I am blessed to have 3 awesome boys and 2 grandsons.” What are your biggest regrets? “Not doing Real Estate sooner.” Judi is currently working on a new project with her broker (Elaine Ciarla) that is LEASE TO OWN. A company buys the house, and leases it to own! AND it’s all done by JUDI TAULBEE! For more info, contact Judi at: 941-544-6277. If you were starting over right now, what would you do differently? “Nothing.” AND (perhaps) best of all…she RIDES! None other than her newly painted pearl black 2007 HARLEY-DAVIDSON ROAD GLIDE! Her first bike was a HONDA SHADOW. Judi’s overall favorite bike is a HARLEY (of course)! Now it’s time to see some of JUDI’s LISTINGS. At the top of the list is: 1602 14th St West, Palmetto, FL 34221 3 beds / 2 baths 1,278 sqft FOR SALE $177,000 Zestimate®: $178,413 EST. What is TIFF…To Inform Families First A grieving mother's determination Christine Olson is a woman I have known for years, her pleasant smile and quick wit have always made my hours at my favorite place (the Rod and Reel pier) special. I remember when this tragic accident happened and each time I walk out to fish or just unwind at this beautiful place, I see the bench inscribed with Tiffiany Olson’s name. It reads Daughter, Sister, Angel. It is always a reminder to me that life is short, tomorrow is promised to no one and many times , that my problems are small. A reminder to hug my children twice before they leave. As she crawled into bed on December 7, 2005, Christine Olson was unaware that her daughter, Tiffiany, lay lifeless at the county medical examiner’s office. The phone rang around 11:20 p.m. "Mom, there’s been an accident; get to Manatee Memorial Hospital." It was her 29-year-old son Derek, and he had received a call from a friend saying there had been a motorcycle accident in Palmetto. They were given no other information As she raced to the hospital, Christine refused to believe anything could have happened to her precious 22-year-old Tiffiany. No one at the hospital knew anything. Frantically, Christine and Derek checked every local hospital. Nothing. Finally, a hospital security guard contacted the local police. At 1:30 a.m., a police officer arrived in the parking lot of Manatee Memorial Hospital. He held an evidence bag containing Tiffiany’s watch, lip-gloss, her
broken earring and toe ring. "I’m sorry, but your daughter is gone." When Christine asked where Tiffiany was, she was told, "Probably at the morgue, but they’re closed for the night. Call them in the morning." Tiffiany and her boyfriend Dustin were northbound on U.S. Highway 19 on their way to Quaker Steak Bike Night in Largo when a car traveling westbound pulled in front of them. Tiffiany died instantly; Dustin died approximately half an hour later. Tiffiany’s driver’s license did not have her current address, so the police had no way to contact the next of kin. "No mother should have to learn that her child died six and a half hours after the fact." Christine knew something had to change. According to the National Association of Emergency Medicine, nationally, the average time it takes to notify the next of kin is 6 hours and sometimes it takes up to a day. With the assistance of State Representative Bill Galvano, the Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles, and law enforcement agencies, Christine designed a program to help notify families in case of an emergency in memory of her daughter, Tiffiany Olson. TIFF's Initiative (To Inform Families First) is a voluntary program

where Florida residents access a database where they enter emergency contact information. The information entered into this secure database is only accessible by law enforcement through a Florida driver’s license or identification card. When police officer enters a driver’s license number into their computer, the contact information will appear on their screen. TIFF's Initiative is available in many other states and TIFF's Initiative went into effect on October 2, 2006. with other states recognizing the importance and following in Florida's footsteps. As of June 2016, over 11 million Florida residents have added emergency contact information to their license or ID card . Christine would like to see this program established throughout the entire United States.TIFF's Initiative gives Christine hope that other families will not have to go through what she did that evening. It haunts Christine to wonder, did Tiffiany suffer? Did she cry out for her mother? "I cannot change what happened that evening," she said. "But because of my belief in the Lord and knowing Tiff believed as well, I have complete faith I will see her again." To register for TIFF please go to toinformfamiliesfirst.org , as well as when renewing your DL…when they ask, that is the work of Christine… please provide an emergency contact. There are many reasons someone may need to be called as Emergencies Happen . Especially … if you ride a Motorcycle. With the important work of reaching all who carry a license and taking it across the nation, Will you support TIFF today. Have a business and want to show others your support you can become a sponsor. Volunteers are always needed so contact Christine at 941 795 1869 or Christine@Helptiff.org. Have you ever been to Tarpon Springs and seen the bicycles all over with flowers all over them? Well, here’s how that has come about. Meet Warren Gregory, him and his wife Michelle live down on the Tarpon Springs Sponge docks. They have a coy pond off the back of the boat, a grassy area for the cats and everything they need right there on the water. Warren and Michelle used to live in Amsternam, and everyone over there rides bicycles. He said there were hundreds when you got off the train, so he used to decorate his with a sunflower so he knew which one was his and that is where it all began. Here in Tarpon Springs, Michelle, used to work at Publix and has dealt with epileptic seizures. So Warren made these bikes with beautiful vibrant flowers, and would place them on the sidewalks on her path to work so when she was traveling to work she would see them and know the way, he also placed them at people’s house they knew in case something happened to her on the way to work, she would know that a bike was at that location and it was a safe place for her. Warren has about 35 – 40 bikes all over town with decorated with flowers and sponges and you name it, all are very colorful and stand out! We started talking and he said that businesses, like myself, started seeing them and now they are calling him because they don’t want to be left out and want one of his bicycles creations at their business to show off. I asked him if there was any other reason for the bikes and of course he said for bicycle awareness and to be seen while riding of course, just like all of us motorcyclists who wear bright reflective clothing. So next time you venture to Tarpon Springs and see these beautiful bikes all over the town, you will know why they are there. Be sure to stop by and say hi to Warren and Michelle also!
