Last month was not only crazy weather-wise but it was super busy! The weather featured tons and tons of rain during the first part of the month followed by extreme heat the second half. We set records for rainfall and records for high temperatures within the same 30-day time period! You just gotta love living in Florida as you never know what is coming from good old Mother Nature! Full Throttle did multiple events during June including the Sore Ass Run. It was a spectacular event as we had a record number of riders and poker hands. Everything went great, until the last few hours when the clouds opened up and the rain (and in some places hail) came down. By nine o’clock it was clear and we partied at the Grand Seas Resort till after midnight. See the recap inside this issue. We also attended Brothers Motor Fest on Father’s Day Weekend. The layout was great and the guys at Brothers did a hell of a job setting things up. I got to shoot a crossbow, visit multiple vendors, view custom bikes and listen to live music. The weather was blistering hot but we all managed to have a good time. Once again see the recap inside this issue. Full Throttle was honored to receive three major awards last month as the Suncoast Brotherhood gave us a nice award at their monthly meeting June 4, the Red Knight’s gave us an appreciation award for being a part of their record-setting run and last but not least, we were awarded the Business of the Month award by the City of Oldsmar at a City Council meeting. Make plans to join us on July 25 for our annual Christmas In July Toy Run. We will start at Tampa Harley-Davidson and go to St.Joseph’s Hospital to see the children. If you have never been on one of our trips to the hospital, you are missing a very special run. We will also be at Bright House Field on July 18 where you can ride your bike onto the field, drink free beer, watch the Threshers play a baseball game and see a spectacular fireworks display after the game .. what a night! Have a great July and have a happy and safe Independence Day. I want to wish Art Koch a happy birthday on the first and my son (Paul) and daughter-in-law (Christine) a Happy Anniversary on 7/22. Please ride responsibly and be careful out there!

Riding a motorcycle at this time of the year is both enjoyable and miserable at times! If it’s not 900 degrees outside and the heat smacking you in the face is taking your breath away, it’s raining so hard you have to pull over and wait it out. It’s hard to put on any events for the next two months as the weather is so unpredictable. I have noticed in our cruising calendar that there are not so many events this month. Which makes it the perfect time to take your pride and joy in for it’s well deserved check up. This is also a great time to do modifications and improvements that would normally have your bike on a lift for a few days. Full Throttle has been doing events and printing a magazine for the past 13 years. In fact we will be having our Anniversary Party on November 15th, 2009. Look for more info on this in the upcoming issues. The past few events we have personally put on and hosted have had some of the best turn outs EVER! To me that means that the magazine advertising, cruising calendar and our weekly e-mail work and the word gets out there. The Sore Ass Run (we are contemplating changing the name next year to The Soaked and Sore Ass Run) had the biggest turn out ever and the 5 Bridge Run was the same. If you are planning an event, make sure you know that your advertising dollars are going to be spent in the best motorcycle magazine in the state. We do our best to be out on the streets by the 1st of each month and have as many events listed as possible. If you have an event and would like to advertise it in the magazine please call one of our reps on page15 in this magazine and they will be very willing to help you out! We are looking for new reps in all the color coded areas in the magazine. I would like to welcome, Joe Karan, Annie Hilton, Don O’Day and Tracy and Gary Bodmer to the Full Throttle Family. Specifically we are looking for reps to help the certain areas grow like: the Blue Section (SOUTH FLORIDA), the Green Section (SOUTH WEST FLORIDA), the Purple Section (NORTH FLORIDA) and the Orange Section (EAST COAST). These areas already have a few reps in them but are so large we can have 3 or 4 reps and still not be able to cover everything. If you are interested please feel free to call me and we will set up a meeting at our offices. The office number is 813-814-1424 or e-mail me at TonyC@FloridaFullThrottle.com. I would like to wish everyone a Happy Independence Day and make sure you are careful out there when you are partying. If you are out riding be careful and make sure you drink lots of water! If you have questions or just want to shoot the breeze, stop out to Quaker Steak on Wednesday nights. You can find me under the Full Throttle tent in the middle of the parking lot.

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY to all. Watch for some great events and rides going on this month as we enter into the summer riding weather. Hot would be an under statement for the weather right now. Early riding or late afternoon seems to be what everyone is looking for, including the Diva Angels. As usual, we seem to have never ending events going on. These past few weeks many members have been off on vacation and doing family outings, which of course includes riding. For our chapter, early breakfast rides or later evening rides are the choice, and of course we like to avoid those afternoon showers. Our Diva of the month is Tara Londergan aka Giggles our very own Assistant Director. Giggles is the proud mother of Shelby, our Diva in Training and of course her ever supportive husband Jim aka Big Jim. Giggles has been a member of the Diva Angels Pasco Chapter since we opened this chapter. She started as our secretary and now holds the position of Asst. Director. Her experience and great humor has been one of the highlights of our group. Anyone who knows her, understands the road name of Giggles. Without Giggles there would be no Pasco Chapter. Congrats Giggles and as always a job well done.

I am frequently asked which states have reciprocity with Florida when it comes to Carrying a Concealed Weapon or Firearm. The attached is taken from the State of Florida Website for your education. It is important for license holders to understand that when they are traveling in or through another state they are subject to the firearm laws of that state. We have provided links to the state laws or to the licensing authorities' Web page of each of our reciprocity states so that licensees can do the necessary planning and research when preparing to travel. FLORIDA'S RECIPROCITY STATES Alabama (1,3,5) Alaska (1) Arizona (6) Arkansas (1) Colorado (1,4) Delaware Georgia (1) Idaho (3,6) Indiana (1,3,6) Kansas (1,4) Kentucky

Louisiana (1) Michigan (1,4) Mississippi (1) Missouri (1) Montana (3) Nevada (1,6) New Hampshire (1,3,4,6) New Mexico (1) North Carolina (1) North Dakota (3,6) Ohio (1) Oklahoma (1) Pennsylvania (1,6) South Carolina (1,4,6) South Dakota (1,3) Tennessee (1,6) Texas (1,3,6) Utah (1,6) Vermont (2) Virginia (1,6) West Virginia (1,4) Wyoming (1,3)

(1) While Florida's law allows licensees to carry stun guns, knives, and billy clubs in a concealed fashion, the laws in these states allow for concealed carry of handguns or pistols ONLY, NOT WEAPONS IN

GENERAL. Florida license holders are prohibited from carrying other types of weapons while in these states. (2) The State of VERMONT is unique in that it does not issue weapon/ firearms licenses. Florida licensees - indeed, licensed or unlicensed citizens from any state - may carry in Vermont. This presents a problem for reciprocity with Florida. Florida law provides that an out-of-state resident must have in his or her immediate possession a valid license to carry a concealed weapon or firearm. Since Vermont residents have no such license, the right to concealed carry cannot be extended to them under Florida law. (3) Individuals qualify for concealed weapon licenses in these states upon reaching 18 years of age. HOWEVER, any licensee of these reciprocity states who is not 21 years of age or older IS PROHIBITED from carrying a concealed weapon or firearm in Florida.

(4) These states will honor the Florida concealed weapon license ONLY IF the licensee is a resident of the State of Florida. (5) The Attorney General's Office of the State of ALABAMA has indicated that Alabama will honor BOTH resident and non-resident Florida licenses. However, the Alabama Attorney General notes that there is some uncertainty as to the limits of Alabama's reciprocity law as it pertains to non-resident licenses. Pending clarification by the Alabama Legislature or a decision by an Alabama court, he urges non-resident Florida license holders to exercise caution. Refer to the Alabama AG's Web page for the latest information. (6) These states issue concealed carry licenses to qualified individuals who are non-residents. These nonresident permits cannot be honored under Florida's reciprocity provision. Ride Smart, Be Educated, and Trust No One (Except me), Jerry T.

SURVIVORS - PUSHBIKES - AND COFFEE GRINDERS

It’s odd sometimes where my motorbikes take me. On this sunny afternoon my 1946 Moto Guzzi took me to a row of antique stores. While walking around one shop I saw a man looking over a well worn but operable coffee grinder circa 1895 (price tag $795) and a couple looking at an amazing but tattered love seat from 1921 (price tag $3500). I thought to myself that in their world of antiques the mindset is “keep your hands off” when it came to restoring old, unique and valuable pieces . And it occurred to me that I have the same mindset when it comes to antique motocycles (and my buddies sister). I have always liked the look of un-restored motorcycles that have been ridden for decades, well maintained, mechanically correct. Original and clean bikes with well worn patina, ones that look as if they have a story to tell and maybe one worth hearing. You won’t damage an antique bikes value by riding it. In fact if it's shown to be in good riding condition its more valuable and so many more get to see it , gracefully riding down the road with history chasing it. These bikes do not just have to be shown. They enjoy as do I the ride to Dunkin Donuts or just a drink at the local pub. You meet the most interesting people while riding a vintage bike. Many of these bikes were workhorses of their day with riders expecting many miles and reliability. These bikes used regularly run much more trouble free, than if used only once and a while or only ridden from their trailers. Restoration is always a personal choice with collectors and even museums. The current mindset for both though seems to be shifting to the “leave it alone” or partial restorations. it seems to me there is a sameness, a uniformity in overly restored motorcycles (and 98 % of the new radical customs and “choppers” of which many are pushbikes) Many are called “frame up” or “professionally restored” or my favorite, that really gets me, “nut -and bolt” restoration often with new non-original stainless steel nuts and bolts. Many restorations are better than new, seldom ridden and with few exceptions came about only because someone was dedicated enough to write a very large check. I was at a couple large shows recently and saw many of these restorations, some no better than living room art or push bikes. antique bikes pushed around and trailered there with no real riding purpose. Many with powder- coated bits and frame. Stainless steel spokes and hoses with 37 miles on their clocks (next year they will have 42, only because some shows are making them ride the 2 blocks from their trailer) These bikes often display finishes more perfect than anything that was ever pushed off the assembly line. Others are “restored” with what the owner considers better bits from up-dated later models or re-worked brakes and carbs, and to the general public or unknowing judges appear original. There also seems to be a plethora of fake police and military bikes with no documentation to support their service. I’m starting to see motorcycles which have been so over-restored they look ridiculous in their shiny 2 part paint and clear coated engine cases. But restoration is a matter of personal taste, which is why I like original women and my buddy likes over restored ones. Over restored bikes are now actually losing points at the shows and the survivors are gaining, both points and respect. As one judge told me (while deducting points I suspect) while he was looking at an over restored Brit bike “these bikes were never that pretty when they came from the factory.” The equivalent to the “nut and bolt” restoration to me is “100% original” or “factory paint” and completely un-molested or improved” really catches my eye. A bike in good un-touched original condition cannot be made any more valuable by anything we can do to it, except ride it . The most expensive paint in the world can only decrease its value. It seems that if you are showing them to the masses and they did need restoration, then we should try and represent them as built and how they looked coming from the factory. I really find so many are interested in history. I find myself riveted to the history channel about things from the past. These motorcycles are snapshots of engineering history, so many things we take for granted started with the designing and building of the early motorcycles and airplanes as both industries paralleled each other in the beginning (GoggleGlenn Curtis) This makes the survivors and to an extent partial restorations very rare and desirable. Seeing one you ask yourself why? and how? did this motorcycle beat the odds and remain un-touched?

These motorcycles stand on their own and always will as long as some of us protect them. Motorcycles that still wear their original paint, upholstery and parts. These are rare and of great use as bench marks for those that have too be re-stored for without the originals you truly don’t know what came was “factory original”. These are time capsules and are the new highlights of their class at Concours d elegance shows at Riding into History, Amelia Island, and The Legend of the Motorcycle. I think those of us with survivors are having more fun and certainly getting more riding enjoyment than the folks with the 35K over-restored trailer queens and we present a more accurate representation of a stock bike to people. My concern is not “creating the improved antique” but preserving character. Seldom is there as great a story as with a well kept un-restored bike. Authenticity has value, patina ya can’t fake it, no school shows you how to apply it. Original is only once and once its touched is gone forever. I’m not knocking it but the whole restoration ethic just doesn’t do it for me, nobody buys a rare piece of furniture and then spends time making it look brand new. I like original. It’s not about Bronze eagles or styrofoam rats. Its about the little 7 year old girl that drags her dad away from a 100K chopper that was pushed to the show complete with styrofoam props around it and says “daddy look at the neat old motorcycle!” and he agrees with her. Even a 7 year old knows class and history when they see it! And my friends, remember the fellow with the $795 coffee grinder? I asked him what he was going to do with his piece of history? he looked at me oddly and said “grind coffee beans”. As I rode off on my old Guzzi I thought to myself, he and I are a lot alike, Both of us using our chosen piece of history for what it was intended to do.................................... Hi All, the days are going to get hotter and hotter in the month of July. You need to make sure you drink plenty of water on your rides and up and coming events. In June I went on the Sore Ass Run over to Daytona via an extra 300 miles or so. I took my eleven year old son, Brett with me. It was the first overnight run he had been on. We headed out on the run and the weather was nice and sunny and then we got to the 4th stop. And boy did the weather go south. It started to rain, rain, rain and Brett’s says, "Lets go Dad to Daytona we gotta go." Needless to say we looked like 2 wet rats when we got there. But had a great time and Brett can’t wait till next year. Look forward to seeing you at Threshers Bike Night at Brighthouse Field on July 18. Free beer and free admission to anyone who comes on a motorcycle. We will also ride on the field for the National Anthem and fireworks at the end of the night. Come on out and join the Clearwater Threshers and the staff of Full Throttle for the evening.

Till next month…….DEW

Divorce: Just an easy way out Love and honor till death do we part. Do you remember the day you took those vows? Do you remember the day you proposed or were proposed to? Those tears of joy the first time you said I LOVE YOU! “No-fault divorce caused already-climbing divorce rates to jump further. As the preceding statistics reveal, divorce rates in America zoomed to new heights under no-fault. Though not all of the increase can be attributed exclusively to the changes in the law, a significant portion can. In a 1989 study by Justec Research in Virginia on the effects of no-fault divorce in 38 states, the findings revealed “very strong evidence” that no-fault increased divorce in eight states and “some lesser evidence” for increases in eight more. The study’s author, lawyer and sociologist Thomas B. Marvell, concludes that “on the average, the no-fault laws increased divorces by some 20 to 25 percent.” In none of the states studied did no-fault decrease divorce.” ‘Under previous legislation, the concept of fault determined the outcome of the divorce application. In cultural terms, partners who walked away from a marriage or caused their spouse to leave risked the consequence of social opprobrium. The introduction of unilateral no-fault divorce law changed this cultural norm, allowing partners to leave a marriage on the premise that a short period of separation constitutes the irretrievable breakdown of the relationship. Hence society rightly concludes today the spouses can leave a marriage at will. Attitudes Toward Marriage and Divorce I am going to read you a list of statements. After I read each statement, please think to your self whether you strongly agree with it, somewhat agree with it, somewhat disagree with it, or strongly disagree with it.

1. In the absence of violence and extreme conflict, parents who have an unsatisfactory marriage should stay together until their children are grown. Agree 43% • Disagree 56% 2. Divorce is a serious national problem in the United States today. Agree 94% • Disagree 7% 3. Society would be better off if divorces were harder to get. Agree 59% • Disagree 41% 4. Couples who marry should make a lifelong commitment to one another, to be broken only under extreme circumstances. Agree 88% • Disagree 12% 5. Couples who have children together ought to be married. Agree 74% • Disagree 26% 6. Given how long people are living these days, it is unrealistic to expect a couple to remain married to one another for life, Agree 21% • Disagree 78% 7. Fathers are as important as mothers for the proper development of children. Agree 97% • Disagree 3% 8. If they are determined to do so, divorced couples can parent as can most parents who live together. Agree 47% • Disagree 53% 9. It should be harder for parents of children under age 18 to get a divorce than it is for couples who do not have young children. Agree 41% • Disagree 59% 10. Either spouse should be allowed to terminate a marriage at any time for any reason. Agree 29% • Disagree 71% 11. Most married couples I know have happy, healthy marriages. Agree 73% • Disagree 27% 12. There should be a waiting period of about a year between divorce filing and the time when a divorce can be granted to give the couple a chance to reconsider their decision to divorce. Agree 73% • Disagree 25% 13. All things being equal, it is better for children to be raised in a household that has a married mother and father. Agree 89% • Disagree 11%

14. Marriage is an old-fashioned, outmoded institution. Agree 13% • Disagree 88% 15. All couples considering marriage should be encouraged to get premarital counseling before they marry. Agree 87% • Disagree 14% 16. All couples considering marriage should be required by law to have premarital counseling before they marry. Agree 47% • Disagree 53% 17. It is a good idea for couples considering marriage to live together in order to decide whether or not they get along well enough to be married to one another. Agree 40% • Disagree 61% 18. Which of the following is in your opinion the more important characteristic of a good marriage. It: Promotes the happiness and well being of the married individuals. 13% Produces children who are well adjusted and who will become good citizens. 10% The two are about equally important. 74% Neither is an important characteristic of a good marriage. 4% In conclusion, It is a permanent solution to a temporary problem Try everything to make the marriage work. Think about just how small your problems and indifferences are. TRY to Seek counseling. Most of all THINK of how traumatic this is to your children and how it will affect the rest of their life’s. Personally I think legislature should pass a bill that requires marriages to be renewed yearly, with a prior prenuptial agreement to include, separation of property, child support, custody rights and visitation privileges. There should be set fees and costs that will be split evenly. Keep the lawyers, judges and courts out of it. Child and spousal abuse should carry stiffer fines with all rights forfeited. Write back and tell me what you think of this subject. Thank you Wayne, aka “ MOFO”

Now that I am settling down in Citrus County I have been riding the roads in the area. There are so many bikes up here. I never knew there was so much to see and do in Eastern Central Florida. The Webster monthly Chrome Bike and Car Swap Meet is still my favorite event the first Sunday of every month. If you ride the roads and end up at this meet, the parking is free for bikes, cars, trucks, trailers, etc. Don’t let someone try to rip you off by charging you $2.00. Don’t park in their lot when all of the others are FREE. See you there. Me and Georgia Boy will be around the tree, the old oak one. Say Hello! See you soon Cindy!

PANHEAD RICHIE - HARD-CORE

I was born in Freeport, Long Island, New York and at the age of 12 saw my first motorcycle club ride by and that's all it took, I was hooked! Shortly after I started building bicycle's with engines on them and one after another I built them bigger, better, faster. By the time I was 20, I had saved enough money to buy my first motorcycle, a 1961 HarleyDavidson PanHead, paid $2000.00 for it. Over the years I had rebuilt the engine, transmission, rewired and refined every part on that bike. The only things I did not do was paint and chrome as I sent these out to be done. I moved to Florida in 1999 (to cold in N.Y.) and decided to make it a showbike. The award's and trophy's I've won over the year's makes the expence and building time all worth it. It's become a part of me and my life.

I'm retired now and the enjoyment I get from people looking at the workmanship and detail in this machine I have built is just amazing. Now a bit about this bike-82' stroker(3.5x4.25)Truit&Osbourn flywheels, S&S heavyduty rods and KeithBlack 9.5to1 Pistons. Exhust's are 1.75" Gooseneck drag pipes (no baffel's). Andrews B cam, chromemoly pushrods by S&S, and solid lifters. PanHeads are ported and polished by me, valves are Black Diamond with Sifton spring's and retainer's.The polished carb is a vintage S&S Super B (early 1970's). The oil pump is also polished and HV by S&S and it all run's thru a 05 Buell oil cooler mounted on the left front. The primaryside also runs a vintage Phase 3--2.5' (earley 1970's square tooth, known as a Gillmore Belt) beltdrive with aluminum engine pulley, aluminum basket and a stock fiber H-D clutch. (very reliable for the last 38 years) The transmission (original H-D case) is a 4spd, completely chrome with Andrews 1st(2:60), 2nd, and 3rd gears. All clearences and endplays are done in house. The frontend, 1943 H-D Springer 6" over is also completely chrome with 20 degree drag bars and 6" risers. The front wheel is a 19"x3" Super Spoke rim (1978) and a Speedmaster Rib tire. (no front brake, don't need it). The rear wheelis a 16"x4" by Chica and a Dunlop 130 tire. Performance Machine 4-piston rear calipur and a mirror polished 12" stainless steel rotor bring it all to a stop. The rear fender (7") is a custom design I fabricated myself. Fuel tank (1961 original) is split and holds 5 gal. On top of it is a 1943 Catseye dash with working speedo and tripset. The frame took the longest to do (molding and fabrication) but, in the end it was all worth it. It came out beautiful. The frame and the tins were painted by H.G.H. Custom Cycle (my son Harley) in NY who did a great job. The chrome was done by Classic Chrome in FL. My parts and accessories are from Rolling Thunder Cycles in Hempstead, NY. This is not just a showbike, I ride 10K a year and there is nothing more than I rather do than ride and show. I would like to thank everyone for the time and help they have given. PanHead - Richie

“Billy Lane’s Chop Fiction: It’s not a Motorcycle, Baby, It’s a Chopper”

I first got acquainted with Billy Lane’s work when I was in a store with bike builders’ books all over the place. The biggest most prominent builders’ work were all displayed right there on front covers in all their glory. And the best of them all for my own personal tastes was Billy Lane’s “Chop Fiction”. This book displayed the type and style of choppers that just made me possessed with finding more about this builder and his bikes. Not knowing what I was getting into, I pursued Billy for months for an interview. For my tastes, Billy’s work by far dominates a large majority of other builders’ work I have seen. Then the issue that literally filled me with profound sadness when I started my research was that nearly three years ago, Billy was charged with one count of DUI manslaughter in connection with the Sept. 4th 2006 traffic accident in which Sebastian Inlet Park Ranger Gerald Morelock, 56, died. According to local media, as of June 10th 2009 a Judge OK’d a plea deal that could net Billy up to nine years in prison on a single felony count of vehicular homicide. Billy pleaded no contest to the charge after prosecutor agreed to drop DUI manslaughter charge under the deal. He will seek for sentence that calls for no prison time. The plea bargain also mandates a lifetime license suspension. Probation, house arrest or alcohol and drug provisions will be up to the discretion of the judge. Billy is free pending sentencing, set for 9am August 14th, 2009 before Circuit Judge Robert Burger. What I find particularly noble in this case is that according to a local paper, Mr. Byron Morelock (the victim’s brother) apparently declined to say what type of punishment Billy should receive. Many of us if on the victim’s side of the fence would vengefully seek “justice” in the form of extreme punishment. All Mr. Morelock stressed was that he wanted whatever it is to use Billy’s celebrity to raise money for charity in his brother’s name and benefit others. I rode my Night Train from the Gulf coast all the way to Melbourne Fl to meet with Billy. His graceful and kind mother (Marion Lane) welcomed me with a hug, a smile and the kindness I had become accustomed to from her over the phone. The shop was quiet with no one in it other than the unassuming silhouette of a hunched over worker with his back facing me and working on a “Crocker” bike. As I entered the shop Marion gently pointed towards the “worker” and introduced me as it turned out to her beloved son Billy. Smiling and cordial Billy casually entered into a common “scratch the surface” kind of talk. Then when I saw Billy’s famous “Easy Rider VQ Chopper” which he built for the 2003 VQ Bikers

Ball Auction to benefit the Boys & Girls Clubs of Florida, the small chat went out the door. “Wow,” I said! “It is one thing to see it in a picture but it does something to you when you see it in real life - Billy! Billy expressed to me that this comment touched him and meant a lot. William David (Billy) Lane (born February 6, 1970 in Miami, Florida) builds choppers and is the owner of Choppers Inc. in Melbourne, Florida. The unique style of award winning bikes has been credited for Billy’s fast rise to stardom. Well known for his appearances in numerous shows on the Discovery Channel, mainly on Biker BuildOff, Billy is not an uncommon face in our community and even outside the bikers’ world. He holds seven US patents on motorcycle parts and accessories. Lane has authored two books, an autobiography, Billy Lane’s Chop Fiction: It’s not a Motorcycle, Baby, It’s a Chopper (2004, Motorbooks International) and Billy Lane’s How to Build Old School Choppers, Bobbers And Customs (2005, Motorbooks International). Billy also holds an Associate in Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida State University as well as a Bachelor in Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Florida International University, graduating in 1997. Billy has contributed to charities and causes on an ongoing basis. Billy is the Founder of “Builders’ Breakfast” held at the annual Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, SD, Daytona Bike Week and Biketoberfest. These events have raised funds for charities such as “KIDS N Chrome”, “Make A Wish Foundation” and have also benefited seniors in assisted living facilities. Billy has also contributed to “BOYS AND GIRLS CLUBS”, “BIG BROTHERS

AND SISTERS” and a variety of poker runs. As a staunch supporter of our military men and women, Billy was part of the USO TOUR 2006 visiting troops in US military bases in Germany. Billy is a recipient of “THE GOLDEN WING AWARD” from the “SOLDIERS ANGELS” organization for his valuable contributions supporting the military and increasing morale among the troops. Billy has been presented with awards from the “ORDER OF THE PURPLE HEART”, “DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD” and other military organizations such as the army’s “SPECIAL RANGERS”. In addition, Billy created his own tour called “BLOOD SWEAT ‘N GEARS TOUR”. This tour consisted of visiting 7 major bike rallies across the nation where he brought live bike fabrication shows before large audiences. Legendary builders like “Mondo”, “Arlen Ness” and the like came along side Billy and contributed as well. Billy gave away more than $350,000.00 in custom motorcycles to Purple Heart vets randomly chosen from the audience. The tour was turned into a documentary and Billy co-produced-it. Although I would not suggest anyone under 18 to watch it, it is very powerfully moving I assure you. Michael Lichter, a respected photographer in our industry told me Billy is “a true artist who brings art and science together”. Mondo Porras of Denver Choppers who has been called the “Godfather of Choppers” told me that Billy is “one of the few in today’s world who has a genuine love for riding. Billy is the modern version of the old true and pure biker.” Personally I think Billy Lane is the “Salvador Dali” of bike builders. He brings bike building to a higher level. Billy’s work is the marriage of modern engineering into the nostalgic vintage bikes. It brings the post-modern road vagabonds within us to life. If you search “Billy Lane” on the net you will get hundreds of links. Some will look upon him with favorable light and some will do the complete opposite. By the way, any Facebook or Myspace “Billy Lane” profiles you will find are unauthorized so beware of impostors. When I first read “Chop Fiction” from cover to cover I read about a young man (Billy)

who to be honest I would not have cared that much to get to know. The one picture that I remember for example is Billy standing beside one of his creation while doing a burnout with it and simultaneously being “fed” whiskey right from the bottle held by a cohort. In the background of that picture standing and cheering was what I call “the mob”. Today I believe Billy is becoming a different man than what you will read about from almost anywhere. Billy says he purposely removed himself from the public eye in order to get to know and “re-invent” himself. My guess is Billy pretty much lost everything. I would assume he found who his true friends were in that process. When Billy rides he says he reflects about “how life is precious”. Billy now has made a point to practice what is commonly known as “acts of random kindness” for complete strangers. He has been having fun doing this anonymously and seeing or hearing about people’s reactions when they find out who he is. Billy would like to marry one of these days. He finds the idea of having children “interesting” and “fun”. Speaking of children, Billy admits he would love to become a “Big Brother” when the time is right. Billy’s parents are still happily married and a strong presence in his life. I struck a conversation with Billy’s mom over the phone. She told me Billy was always quiet. “He played with Legos® a lot”. Marion (his mom) told me “when he was a little boy Billy would draw things”. As a proud mom she would notice there were always more details in Billy’s drawings than other kids’ drawings. Billy’s mom is Catholic and dad is Protestant. Billy had to attend Sunday school. Billy tells me there is not a day that goes by that he does not pray to God with thanksgiving in the morning as well as in the evening. Speaking of God and faith. One of the things that need clarification is how Discovery has portrayed Billy as “Satan’s Child” in the Biker Build-Off episode against the self proclaimed Christian bike builder Mike Brown. There is a segment where Billy says that he does not have “too many good things to say about these kinds of people”. The way

Discovery edited this segment can lead you to believe that Billy is referring to Christians specifically. The fact is that Billy had a history with Mike Brown from before the Build-Off and that Billy’s comment had nothing to do with “Christians” specifically. Billy was strictly referring to Mike Brown as an individual he had come to know firsthand. What legacy do you want to leave, Billy? “I live everyday as if it was my last day. I do what I love most. I don’t care for stardom. I want to become a positive influence personally and professionally. Many make choices they think are permanent and live unhappy with those choices all their lives. If you live another day, you have another day to make the change for what it should be.” Fame took away from Billy’s first love in a “huge” way he says. “It [fame] is a double edged sword. Now I try to avoid it. There are advantages to it. There are things fame brings that are bigger than yourself. People end-up wanting to be around you for the wrong reasons”. As a result Billy is also reinventing Choppers Inc. or stream-lining it, if you will, as a “parts” business. He will do the odd chopper here and there but right now “Crocker” bike (vintage board racing bikes) projects have taken a predominant position at Choppers Inc. Billy has designed several new parts but he is waiting for the right time to launch them into the market. Billy loves surfing, playing guitar and working out. I challenged him to arm wrestle. He turned me down. He challenged me to wrestle. I turned him down. I guess we can call that a tie then

Billy! He remembers a funny experience when he and friends were riding on US1 in Miami. One of his friends was known to have a sleeping disorder. When they all reached their destination they all noticed someone was missing. They went back on their tracks only to find their friend with his hands hanging on the ape bars, both feet on the ground at a traffic light … deep asleep. They had to wake him to carry on. In Billy’s estimate, his friend must have been there for at least 10 to 15 minutes. What does it mean to be honest with yourself Billy? “To know who you are and what your limitations are.” Fears? Sky diving - which he faced and overcame - and, losing his parents whom he is blessed to still have. Pet peeves? “Inconsiderate people”. Guns or gun controls? “Guns. It’s people that are the problem, not the guns.” Is abortion about a choice or about a life? “I don’t think it should be used as a form of birth control”. From my research it appears Billy had one single and quite significant love; Claudia. What has relationships taught you Billy? “Claudia and her family were great. I don’t think I would make her happy.” Billy do you think it is wise to depend solely on someone else for happiness? Isn’t that a little risky with “happiness” being a mere emotion that comes and goes? “She did not want me to do the things I did as a career and that is what I wanted to do. My happiness was not based on her. We both wanted different things at the time.” What has being a son taught you? “I want to make my parents proud. They were a little disappointed when

I told them I wanted to be a “grease monkey”. My dad did not talk to me for 2 months when I got my first tattoo (chuckle).” Billy if you could change anything about the past what would it be? After quite a long silent pause, Billy told me he would have tried to “control” his business more. Billy also said there were other things but that he “obviously” did not want to get into details. I asked about how in his book “Chop Fiction” he wrote “I don’t like not being myself” in the context of alcohol abuse. What do you not like about not being yourself? “I never liked that much being in an altered state. I never really found life distasteful enough to feel the need to twist it that much. This was written so long ago and was about when I tried mushrooms. There is so much to enjoy out of life in its’ natural state. I never do drugs. Things are fine the way they are. I don’t need anything else to make them better. I get high on motorcycles and surfing.” Again in "Chop Fiction" Billy you wrote that you “learned to think analytically”. Do you think this skill applies to choices we make in life? “You have to be trained to think analytically. I don’t think it is a human quality. There are certainly things I have done I was not thinking analytically when I did them but by and large when I face a problem in life I look at the problem and the components of the problem and I figure it out.” Billy you once said; “To have someone appreciate me for who and

what I am is a rare find … I can’t control how other people perceive me”. Do you wish people would perceive you differently sometimes? “That was a long time ago and I was wrong about that. You can control to a certain extent how people perceive you”. Billy what are your thoughts on the act of suicide? “I truly don’t understand it. A fellow bike builder just committed suicide. I lost a lot of friends to suicide. I just cannot imagine what gets someone to that point. To see what it does to those who love the individual after is the most heart wrenching thing in the world”. And Billy is right. The people left behind who love the individual are left scarred for a lifetime with a kind of hurt which cannot be described. Billy collects all kinds of odd and not so odd metal parts that he uses to build bikes. As a matter of fact, people will bring him parts as gifts which might be used on a bike. As I finished the interview with Billy I pulled out a token of my appreciation; the barrel of a twelve gage gun which was used as a suicide weapon by my own biological father. I have kept this for close to 20 years unable to get rid of it. It was the last thing my father had touched. I have often picked it up starring at it and squeezing it with my hands along with the trigger. Anger, hurt, sadness, bitterness, rage and fury would invade every fiber of my being until I would make room for forgiveness. The process of forgiveness helped me come to terms with this one. I felt there was no better way to part from these gun parts than to share them with Billy so maybe he could do something positive with it. When someone comes to that point it is for no other reasons than extreme fear, selfishness and cowardice. Because life is not how we want it to be is not a reason good enough to end it and hurt those who love you. I am sharing this because I know times are tough for a multitude out there. Be strong and fight to die having lived your life with true dignity if not for yourself then at least to inspire others and those who love and need you still. I believe Billy is a different man now than he used to be. I do believe he has entered into the long process of re-engineering himself. I don’t believe Billy has a criminal mind. In fact I believe the horrible tragic act he did and the pain the Morelocks have faced have turned into a catalytic event. It seems to me that whether he would be sentenced to 30 years in jail or not, Billy would still seek ways to seize life and do good no matter what.

Whether we like it or not, Billy is our home boy. Mr. Morelock enjoyed riding and so he too, if I can say this with the utmost respect, was part of us. I think that all of us and “The Mob” need to come along side with both parties and give them support. I don’t know what sentence Billy will receive. It seems to me that if Billy is given the opportunity to raise funds in Mr. Morelock’s name, he will. And if he does, I pray to God that not only will I be able to make it but that the event will turn out to be one great unifying cause. I rode my Night Train back from Melbourne to Tampa that day in pouring drenching rain. Billy lent me rain gear for the ride. He treated me like a brother. Going west-bound I had all kinds of people smiling giving me thumbs up and truck drivers giving nods of approval. In the midst of the rain hitting my face I found myself smiling. I had made a new good friend. Folks! Life is invaluable indeed. Let’s seize it by helping each other and those in need. Acts of giving alone help us remember how good we have it. As it turns out I also unexpectedly gave Billy a little pocket bible I always carry around with me on long trips. Billy looked at me and said “It’s funny you give me that. I have just picked-up my own bible two days ago from when I was a little kid and I started reading it from the beginning”. I encouraged Billy to read the book of John. In John 4:14 Jesus said; “but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life.” With that said I want to offer my sincere sympathy to the Morelock family. I want to thank my photographer Len Pepe of www.studiolens.com in Daytona to whom I am indebted for the photos I needed for this column. Len has done a lot of work for Daytona Race Track and took a full day out of his busy schedule to help me and Full Throttle make this happen. Thanks Len!

Keep your rubbers on the asphalt!

You know I find many people that do things for the first time usually fall short, sort of a learning curve. But not the Brothers of Brothers Powdercoating. Ernie, Steve and Mike all very cool guys and are very good at what they do. So what started 6 months ago as an idea between Steve and Rev. Jim of Preachers Cycles , something about a couple kegs of beer and a band a small "appreciation "party.... Well it snowballed with the involvement of Ernie and Mike .Well they go out and get Radical Randy to emcee, a side by side dyno drag truck, 2 days of great stunt riders ( Todd Colbert) and a vintage, pin up girl contest won by local NPR lovely Nicole Morgan. But wait!! The brothers said that's not enough! Let's have more golf carts than Disney World to shuttle people to and from the parking lots, up front bike parking and 1/2 mile of great vendors. And hey lets bring in another big name ,Nick Athanason's done a few of these. Hmm more is better, lets do 6 major bands on an indoor and outdoor stage. Yes you heard it right, the braintrust went and got the Sports Zone 2 Brothers Arena 21,000 square feet of air-conditioned, rainproof paradise complete with liquor bar, rockband and 18 custom built bikes competing for $1000 top prize (won by Stephen Galvin) throw in 3 other ride in bikeshows, a few dragster demos, custom cars, free Budweiser beer on Sunday (Fathers Day) and Playboy Supermodel Mia McKinley for two days and what you had was the most amazing first class, over the top first time event I have been to. The vendors were amazing (given the above average warm temps) and the New Port Richey Police Dept. were both professional and friendly. The media hype about the heat kept some away but the thousands that did attend the first Brothers Motorfest had a great time. I really look forward to a second try, maybe a roller coaster and the Rolling Stones, you never know with these brothers.. Robert DeMoss, Mr. 360

RED, WHITE & BLUE WITH ORANGE & BLACK With the 4th of July here, I was thinking, “What would our Forefathers be Riding Today”? George Washington – Ultra Electric Glide • Benjamin Franklin – Fat Boy • Thomas Jefferson – V-Rod • Paul Revere – Sportster • Andrew Jackson – Cross Bone • Benedict Arnold – BSA • And of course UNCLE SAM would be on a bike made of parts from All American made Motorcycles. I don’t have any pictures of our Forefather’s, so I’m including some I took of people at bike events I went to, like The Korner Keg Grand Re-Opening Party. The Cotee River Lounge Thursday night Bike Night, Governor’s Lounge Biker Bash BBQ, every 3rd Saturday of the month and Smokin Joes Cigar Bar Monday night Bike Night. Sometimes you can find a Bikini Bike Wash Cutie at the events. Brittany did a great job on my bike. Let’s see, my last bike wash was …..? Look for her around Pasco Bike Nights. Uncle Sam may show up at the Fisherman’s Shack 4th of July Ride-In Bike Show and Home Made Raft Race. I hope to see you there. Till Next Time Ride Safe and look out for the Bad Drivers, on land and sea. The Big “O”

A preacher said to a farmer, “Do you belong to the Christian family?” “No,” he said, “they live two farms down.” “No, I mean are you lost?” “No, I’ve been here thirty years.” “I mean, are you ready for Judgment Day?” “When is it?” “Could be today or tomorrow.” “Well, when you find out for sure when it is, you let me know. My wife will probably want to go both days!” *****************************************

A photographer for a national magazine was assigned to take pictures of a great forest fire. He was advised that a small plane would be waiting to fly him over the fire location. The photographer arrived at the airstrip just an hour before sundown and sure enough, a small Cessna airplane was waiting. He jumped in with his equipment and shouted, “Let’s go!” The tense man sitting in the pilot’s seat swung the plane into the wind and soon they were in the air, though flying erratically. “Fly over the north side of the fire,” said the photographer, “and make several low-level passes.” “Why?” asked the nervous pilot. “Because I’m going to take pictures!” yelled the photographer. “I’m a photographer, and photographers take pictures.” The pilot replied, “You mean you’re not the flight instructor?” *******************************************

WHERE is my SUNDAY paper?!” The irate customer calling the newspaper office, loudly demanded to know where her Sunday edition was . “Madam”, said the newspaper employee, “today is Saturday. The Sunday paper is not delivered until tomorrow, on SUNDAY”. There was quite a long pause on the other end of the phone, followed by a ray of recognition as she was heard to mutter, “Well, shit, so that’s why no one was at church today.”

A first grade student went to his teacher when class was over with a very sad look on his face. The teacher noticed and said, “What’s wrong Timmy?” Timmy said, “I found a cat today on the way to school but he was dead.” The teacher put her hand on his shoulThe four Goldberg brothers, der and said, “How did you know it was dead?” Lowell, Norman, Hiram, and Max, inTimmy looked at her and replied innovented and developed the first automo- cently, “Because I pissed in it’s ear and it didn’t bile air-conditioner. On July 17, 1946, the move that’s how.” The teacher was totally shocked and temperature in Detroit was 97 degrees. yelled, “You did WHAT?” The four brothers walked into Timmy looked at her and said, “You old man Henry Ford’s office and sweettalked his secretary into telling him that know, I leaned down and went ‘pssst’ and he didn’t move!”

four gentlemen were there with the most exciting innovation in the auto industry since the electric starter. Henry was curious and invited them into his office. They refused and instead asked that he come out to the parking lot to their car. They persuaded him to get into the car, which was about 130 degrees, turned on the air conditioner, and cooled the car off immediately. The old man got very excited and invited them back to the office, where he offered them $3 million for the patent.

The brothers refused, saying they would settle for $2 million, but they wanted the recognition by having a label, ‘The Goldberg Air-Conditioner, on the dashboard of each car in which it was installed. Now old man Ford was more than just a little anti-Semitic, and there was no way he was going to put the Goldberg’s name on two million Fords. They haggled back and forth for about two hours, and finally agreed on $4 million and that just their first names would be shown. And so to this day, all Ford air conditioners show Lo, Norm, Hi, and Max on the controls. So, now you know.

*************************************** A woman who died found herself standing outside the Pearly Gates, being greeted by St. Peter. She asked him, “Oh, is this place what I really think it is? It’s so beautiful. Did I really make it to heaven?” To which St. Peter replied, “Yes, my dear, these are the Gates to Heaven. But you must do one more thing before you can enter.” The woman was very excited, and asked of St. Peter what she must do to pass through the gates. “Spell a word,” St. Peter replied. “What word?” she asked. “Any word,” answered St. Peter. “It’s your choice.” The woman promptly replied, “Then the word I will spell is love. L-o-v-e.” St. Peter congratulated her on her good fortune to have made it to Heaven, and asked her if she would mind taking his place at the gates for a few minutes while he went to the bathroom. “I’d be honored,” she said, “but what should I do if someone comes while you are gone?” St. Peter reassured her, and instructed the woman to simply have any newcomers to the Pearly Gates to spell a word as she had done. So the woman is left sitting in St. Peter’s chair and watching the beautiful angels soaring around her when a man approaches the gates. She realizes it is her husband. “What happened?” she cried, “Why are you here?” Her husband stared at her for a moment, then said, “I was so drunk when I left your funeral, I was in an accident. And now I am here? Did I really make it to Heaven?” To which the woman replied, “Not yet. You must spell a word first.” “What word?” he asked. The woman responded, “Czechoslovakia.”

FULL THROTTLE MAGAZINE WELCOMES GARY AND TRACEY AS THE SOUTHWEST COASTS NEW REPRESENTATIVES.

We are so excited to be the newest members of the Full Throttle family. We are looking forward to developing the Southwest Coast territory and meeting all of our fellow bikers in the area. Gary and I work for a Hurricane shutter manufacture/ installation company, (So if you’re in the need give us a call). Outside of work we lead a fun, but very busy life. With 6 children, ranging in age from 15 to 23, a lot of

our spare time is watching high school football, cheerleading, basketball and wrestling. We recently began playing golf, we’re no Tiger Woods, but we have a lot of fun trying. Most of all we love putting miles on our Street Glide. Whether we're on a poker run, attending a festival, having a blast at Bike Week, cruising our beautiful beaches or exploring new areas throughout the Southwest Coast this time we spend together is priceless. Outside of riding, we love to travel. We have visited nearly every mile of Florida’s coastline, from Panama City to Key West and back up to Jacksonville. Venturing out of the country is our true passion, but it’s always nice to get back home and take the Glide out! So look for us at area events, and smile, cause we’ll be taking lots of pictures. You can also e-mail your upcoming events to

traceyandgary@floridafullthrottle.com and we’ll get them in the magazine. Until next month be SAFE! Tracey and Gary 941-504-8297

GOOGLE ME THIS, GOOLE ME THAT Speaking of knowing stuff ... Google has started a new phone-in service. Yes, if you need to get a question answered, just call 1-800-GOOG-411 and get the information you desire! This includes locations of local pizza stores, the artist who sang “Afternoon Delight” or the name of the 15th President. If you are calling from your mobile phone, they will even text the info you are looking for .... damn that’s cool!

JESSE JAMES IS A DEAD MAN Full Throttle was damn proud of our exclusive Jesse James interview and front cover last month .... kudos to Attorney Fran Haasch for making it happen. If you haven’t watched Jesses’s latest television show on Spike TV called “Jesse James is a Dead Man” you’re missing one hell of a show! To read more about Jesse, check out the July issue of Maxim Magazine. It’s a very interesting article and quite different than the one we ran!

GOVERNMENT TERROIST WATCH Did you know that people on the Government’s terrorist watch list tried to buy guns approximately 1,000 times in the past five years? The interesting note is that US Federal Authorities have no legal way to stop them. These same people can be stopped from getting on an airplane and stopped from getting a VISA card, but they cannot be stopped from buying a firearm. Say what????? If these “suspects” are not a felon, an illegal immigrant or a convicted drug addict, they have the right to purchase a gun under current U.S. law. The NRA says they have serious concerns on who is on those lists and the information is outdated and incorrect. They have great concern regarding the quality and integrity of the list. Are there two sides to this story?

BET YOU DIDN’T KNOW THAT Did you know ??? .... More than 90% of blind Americans can’t read braille .... One in six American homes have no telephone landline and only use their cellphones .... Women buy four out of every ten condoms that are sold .... Twenty-two percent of married women said that if they could go back in time they would choose a different husband .... Twenty-three percent of American married couples sleep in separate beds .... the average age of a woman getting breast implants is 34 ... bet you didn’t know all that !!!

JUST IN CASE YOU WERE WONDERING I know you’re going crazy wondering who performed “Afternoon Delight” aren’t you??? It was the Starland Vocal Band back in the 1970’s and the 15th President of the USA was none other than James Buchanan!

1-800-G00G-411

THINK BEFORE YOU DRINK If you are a boater you better think before you drink! The National Association of State Boating Law Administrators plans a major push to go after drunken boaters. The Coast Guard plans to look for impared boaters during the summer months. Twenty-one percent of deaths from recreational boating accidents are attributted to alcohol use. In Florida, boaters are considered impared if their blood alcohol content is above 0.08 percent .... the same percentage as motorists.

HOW ‘ BOUT THEM APPLES

Apple sold one million new 3GS i-phones the first three days they were on the market making it the most successful smart phone debut ever.

I’M BORED Ok, ok ... it’s hot outside and you’re bored. You just want to sit at your computer and waste time. Well, here are a few websites to check out: bored.com .... crazypiglet.com .... stupid. com .... bofunk.com .... wowfunny.com .... and crazywebsite.com. I guarantee you will find something that will make you laugh!

Full Throttle Magazine

This month finds a lot of people busy getting ready to head north to some of the bigger Biker events or just getting out of the heat for some R&R. After attending a couple annual events, I find it so cool to see how these rides have grown over the years! The "Lost Souls" in North Port did a great job on their event with proceeds going to their scholarship fund! They put together a nice ride, even though I was not sure where I was going until I found couple riding buddies. Don't remember names but thanks guys! Now the SW Abate Chapter put on one hellava 3 day event. Sunday ended with a poker run and donating a stuffed animal to the Lee County

Sheriffs Dept.. It looked like Christmas! This ride has grown huge over the years! There was some fine entertainment, food, beverages and plenty of vendors so we could get in a little therapy. Great job Frankie and all of The Southwest Abate Chapter! Until next time , Happy Fourth and RIDE WITH PRIDE! Donta

Me and my big mouth......I did say we needed some rain, but I didn't think I'd need to build and ark! But, so far I've survived, and I trust you did as well. Okay, aside from having to wear a flotation device to get anywhere, we had a bunch of stuff going on. The first weekend of June brought the Starke BikeFest, which Tripp went to, I made it down to KnuckleDraggers for their annual Customer Appreciation Party. In spite of the recurring rain, there were quite a few people stopping in to hang out, listen to some good music, have some fantastic bbq, and just have a good time. The Red Dog Saloon set up the bar and kept everyone's thirst in check, and I got to sit in with my friend JJ Strickland and the Wildfire Band for a tune! Got to see some old friends and made a few new ones as well. The following weekend was the FT Annual Sore Ass Run. This year the run came thru Starke, making a stop at KnuckleDraggers, then over to St. Augustine, stopping at Arnold's on US 1 where I got to be the dealer. Traditionally, it rains somewhere along the run, and since I was the 'new guy', of course, it rained in St. Aug. And, of course, it rained right when the run, all 150+ bikes were due to show up. Boy, did it rain! So, for a couple of hours, I played host to a couple hundred or so wet, soggy, sore assed riders, and we had a blast! From St. Aug, the run headed south, along the coast to Daytona for the big party. Special thanks to Lisa Mack for helping set the stop up with Arnold's, special thanks to Fred, and a huge thanks to Lou, the bartender at Arnold's for putting up with us! July is jam packed with runs and rides, pick one and do what you can to help, they'd do it for you. Also, remember to patronize the places that advertise here, it's because of them that you get Full Throttle for free. I am not gonna get up on my soapbox, however, our new 'political machine' has been plotting and scheming legislation to take away more freedoms/choices that we have enjoyed, and unless we stand up together and say "NO", things will start happening, so get involved, you know the drill. Noone else is gonna 'watch our back'. Until Next Time, RIDE LOUD & RIDE SAFE

Hey everyone, hope you had a good month. Mine was slower than normal, which was completely fine with me. Saturday May 30, was an extremely busy day though. I split myself between two different events. Early in the morning I headed over to the Big Oak in Live Oak for a run. This run was held for a man named Lloyd Johnson. They had 51 riders sign up and over 150 showed up for the party at the end of the run. They raised $3,000 for the family which for a small town, and the economy so bad this was a miracle in itself. The run went from the Big Oak to Miss Lily’s, Hanger 7, Frogs, Keg Room, and back to Live Oak at Hammer Heads. I left the run after the Hanger and headed to Gainesville Harley for their annual Hog Roast. They had a great turn out, of approximately 500, for this event, and raised right around $3,500. A portion of the proceeds raised goes to the Boys and Girls Club of Alachua County. After, I headed back to Live Oak to catch up with the run for Lloyd, at Hammer Heads. On the way back we passed a terrible accident, and when we reached Hammer Heads found that the accident was someone that was friends of Lloyd and his wife. The following day we found that the passenger did not make it. Sorry for your loss Lloyd and hope things get better for you and your family. Sunday, May 31, I went down to Spindrifter to see one of my favorite bands, CORE. They unfortunately are losing their drummer and were holding auditions for a new drummer. They had 7 or 8 show, and they were all good drummers. But only one will make the cut and it just so happens that it’s someone I am acquainted with. Congratulations Grinch from the Enforcers!! On June 6th I went to my first Starke Fest. This yr it was run

different then in the past. This yr the Chamber of Commerce ran the show. I have heard about past events and was expecting a lot more then what was actually there. It turned out to be a very rainy day, but I like the rain so no complaint there, but there were not very many vendors though, and they didn’t seem to have the band set up well enough for bad weather. Did get to see my good friends Tattudio, Unchained Chaos, Big Engine, APCNF, and Chris from Furst Automotive & Cycle. Even got to participate in a new kind of poker run. It was a poker run around the event on a big wheel. Even though only two of us participated we had a blast doing it. Ya’ll keep them wheels a rollin safely this month!!

Hello everyone, I would like to start off this article by sending love & prayers to all of the families who were affected due to the accident on I-295 on the last day of school. We are holding a 7 card stud poker run on July 11th to benefit the families involved. Registration will be at the Past Time Pub starting at 10 AM. The cost is only $5.00 per hand. Please make every effort to attend this run. And speaking of poker runs, Two Dawgs Down went off real good. With the exception of the monsoon that is. The Bill & Bob Show was a tremendous hit with everyone that was there. The grill was handled solely by Red Beard. Man, you showed how dedicated to the cause you were, keeper of the flame thru the storm. Big Dawg Steve & Lee would like to thank all who dedicated their time, those who donated money, prizes for the raffles, all of the food and the sponsors who helped put this together, it was a success. Well until next month, keep it vertical & in the wind. Lil' Bit

All the things happening all over the world, are you paying attention? I pray for our soldiers everyday…. I think of them in 120˚ heat with large backpacks….!! FOR US!! I shake the hand of all service people I meet and tell them “Thank You” for the commitment. A lot of people don’t pay attention some “Don’t care.” I love my country and grateful for our freedoms….knowing their “Blood Bought.” So hug a Vet then say “ Thank You!” Pray for all our soldiers, leaders and our country as a whole! We all need more Jesus. Due to my illness I get a lot of blood taken and see a lot of doctors…give me the chance to share the Lord. Thank You Jennifer out in Zephyr Hills –May you and your husband’s club the “Latin Connect” Ride Free as a family club… and Thank You Vinny. He found Spanky and Diane’s Dog---“Peral” and brought her home. Vinny works at the “Sonic” on Ridgewood in Ormond Beach…. Thank You Lil Brother. Go in and give him a big “TIP”, I did. Celebrate the birth of our Country. Basque in our Freedoms… Buy some fireworks with the kids. “Tell them” about our freedom fighters and how some have given it all! Tell them what the “4th of July” is about!! Tell them about Jesus not no stinkin bunny who lays eggs or some clown in red and white with flying reindeer… Come on tell them the truth. How Christ Jesus died to set us free not to tie us up… Call me I’ll tell them. Bro Bert AKA the Gangster of Love (386) 566-9931
