The VistaScan Perio Plus is a multi-slot scanner with an input/ output buffer that handles up to 8 images, erases them and makes the plates available again in one single step thanks to its cassette transport system, so that a half status appears on the screen in around 30 seconds. The Slim Collection Less is more Hu-Friedy launches six new orthodontic instruments to the market with its Slim Collection. Luxating Hybrid Instruments If the buccal bone plate should remain untouched when extracting teeth or root tips, efficient precision tools are necessary. Effective sterilisation begins with the HYDRIM M2 washer-disinfector. The HYDRIM M2 automatically washes, rinses, disinfects and dries dental instruments, simply by pressing a button on the touchscreen. The HYDRIM process begins with a powerful prewash cycle. Then three high-pressure sprays clean the instrument load from above and below removing virtually all organic debris. The HIP cleaning solution is dispensed automatically and clean water is used with every new cycle. The HIP solution is kinder to your instruments and to the HYDRIM unit itself, as the liquid detergent rapidly and fully disperses, unlike powder detergent, which can form clumps and compromise the efficiency of the washing process. Facelight New and innovative caries detection The new Facelight light probe by W&H enables direct visual detection of caries in opened cavities. Facelight gives dentists the ability to assess the treatment site at a glance. The FACE method FACE stands for Fluorescence Aided Caries Excavation. The underlying principle: Bacteria in dentine infected with caries leave metabolic by-products (porphyrins). They are not visible to the naked eye. When violet light is applied to the opened cavity, however, porphyrins fluoresce red, while healthy tooth substance fluoresces green. Diagnostic goggles with special filters enhance this effect.
