The beach is usually a great — not to mention inexpensive! — option for spending some lazy days, but with the massive invasion of the potentially lethal Portuguese Man O’War jellyfish, it doesn’t seem so appealing. You can read all about these horrid creatures on page 102. So this got me wondering what other things we could do this summer to entertain ourselves. Summer is a perfect time to visit new places, meet up with old friends — and make new ones — but most of all, it’s a time to make memories that are talked about for years to come. When the sun is shining, it puts everyone in a good mood! So in true Sentinella style, here is an A-Z list of other things to do if you would rather not brave the sea this summer. A – Airshow Torre del Mar 27th/28th & 29th July, the busiest weekend of the year. B – Book a boat trip, have a BBQ and go to the beach if the sea is “medusa”-free! Visit the Butterfly Park in Benalmadena. C – Camping, or cool off with a trip to the cinema. What about popping along to Charlie’s Chiringuito Challenge on Saturday 11th July, when you can enjoy a drink in each chiringuito from Caleta to the end of Torre with some locals. Catch up with a friend or two! D – Dancing – join the new Latino Dance Expat beginner class at Garden Café Baobab in Torre del Mar every Thursday 8 – 9pm; it’s free and fun! Avenida Tore Tore 4. E – Exercise – walk, run, skate... F – Ferias in most towns / Firework display on 15th August around 11pm in Almunecar. This is an absolute MUST — it is fantastic! G – Go Karting in Almayate, or take a trip to Gibraltar.

T – Visit a Theme Park, Tivoli World in Benalmadena or take a trip to Sevilla, Isla Magica — but be warned it will be rather hot! / Eat Tapas. U – Umbrella…. Stay underneath one, safely out of the sun, and enjoy reading your favourite magazine! Or undergo some soothing massage perhaps… Lots of places offer this service on the beach. V – Volleyball on the beach. W – Weekend Beach Festival 4th/5th/6th and 7th July in Torre del Mar. Water park Aquavelis see advert on page 86 for a discount. X – Xylophone lessons (joke…. There are approximately 77 days of school summer holidays and this lot will keep you entertained for at least 40 of them. Have fun with your own ideas for the rest! :) On that note, I hope you all have the best summer yet. Stay safe, keep cool, enjoy yourselves and make memories to treasure.

Buggy bender A man has been arrested after driving a golf buggy through a 'drive thru' of a fast food restaurant in Catterick, North Yorkshire. North Yorkshire Police Roads Policing Group spotted the man and described it as the "most unusual job of the night", but they were relieved no high speed pursuit was necessary. The driver was arrested for theft and driving whilst unfit through drink. A statement on the North Yorkshire policing site said: "A pre-emptive box manoeuvre was utilised to avoid a high speed pursuit. "We had a few interesting questions for the driver to answer in interview when he was sober." Weird creatures Some type of creature has washed up on Rhossili Beach, in Gower, Wales, and it’s been freaking people out. Beth Jannetta, 41, found the five-foot long ‘alien-like’ carcass while walking her dog. She said: ‘I was going for a run with my dogs when I came across it. It looked like a well-rotted cetacean to me. ‘Other people think it is something different, like a crocodile. ‘It would be very interesting to find out what species it is.’ Marine experts are finding it difficult to identify the animal but have suggested it could be a type of whale, dolphin or porpoise. Bioscience expert Dr Dan Forman added: ‘When you look at it the first time you may think it is a crocodile, but it is certainly not. ‘There is a big bulge on the base of the skull which is a characteristic of a cetacean.’ Dr Forman, of Swansea University, added: ‘We get a reasonable amount of dead whales and dolphins in places like Pendine and Rhossili. From the data around carcasses washed up, there is a cluster around June and July.’ (More strange news on page 6)

Strange News (Continued) Nessie on film An eight-year-old girl and her grandmother claim to have ‘definitely’ seen the Loch Ness monster — and took video footage as proof, which they shared on the internet. Laria Annand and her grandmother Marie, a teacher from Inverness, noticed strange movement in the water and the light bouncing off a long unidentified object, despite there being no boats or people around. The schoolgirl filmed footage that appears to show something long and thin splashing around in the loch. ‘We sat on the rocks for a few minutes,’ said Marie, 62. ‘We were just taking silly pictures of each other and splashing our feet in the water. I just looked up and that’s when I spotted the flickering in the water. ‘It looked as though the light was bouncing off something but there were no boats or people and it was something long – very long. I had to do a double take because there was just nothing to explain it. ‘I took a few pictures and then my granddaughter asked if she could take a video. ‘It was really weird and I can’t explain it, so the only thing I can think is we really
have seen the Loch Ness monster.’ Sexist sign? The ‘men working’ sign is a regular feature outside building sites up and down the country, though becoming less frequent with an increasingly diverse workforce. But when Annie James spotted a ‘Caution, Men Working’ sign outside Morrisons petrol station in Fort William, Scotland, she wrote in to complain. Next to a picture of the sign, she posted: ’Obviously only men are allowed to work on this site. #everydaysexism.’ The signs are often branded as an example of ‘everyday sexism’ by some who say it discriminates against female workers and is ‘non-inclusive’ But Annie’s post didn’t quite go to plan as instead of stoking up a debate, people on Facebook piled in to accuse her of overreacting. Comments included: ‘Outrage for outrage sake. Get a life’ and ‘Are you for real?’ Another said: ‘I take it she doesn’t want to speak to the MANager?’

One of the most important things now is proving the payments made to constructors and architects, and all expenses must be supported by bills and invoices showing Iva (VAT) has been paid. The lawyer then presents the documents at the notary and a deed of new work is signed, either by you in person, or by a lawyer using a power of attorney. The deed is then registered. My Next Life Goes Like This... I have been thinking a lot lately and have decided that in my next life I want to live my life backwards. You start out dead and get that out of the way. Then you wake up in an old people’s home feeling better every day. You get kicked out for feeling too healthy, go collect your pension, and then you start work, you get a gold watch and a party on your first day. You work for 40 years until you’re young enough to enjoy your retirement. You party, drink alcohol, and are generally promiscuous, then you are ready for high school. You then go to primary school, you become a kid, you play. You have no responsibilities, you become a baby until you are born. And then you spend your last 9 months floating in luxurious spa-like conditions with central heating and room service on tap, larger quarters every
day then Voila! You finish off as an orgasm!

More Women Set to Get Into World Cup An underwear company has been slammed for making knickers that vibrate at goals to get women into World Cup A lingerie company has launched a very unusual product that they believe will encourage women to get into the football spirit.
"The knickers are linked to a robot that interprets the action and transforms it into vibrations in real time. The robot makes the knickers move." The clip then shows the couple watching a football match, while the woman is wearing a pair of the knickers.
Mexican underwear retailer Vicky Form have created a pair of knickers that vibrate when footballers score a goal during the World Cup. Their latest creation, called Siente el Juego, was unveiled ahead of the World Cup kick-off on 14th June in a racy advert. The video begins by informing viewers that "every year four million couples separate because of football". A narrator then informs them that Vicky Form have found a solution to get both of them equally excited about the match. She says: "We have created the first pair of knickers that let you feel the passion of the game.
As the match becomes more intense, the woman becomes more and more stimulated until a foul causes the vibrating to abruptly stop. Her partner is overjoyed that she's taking an interest, and affectionately takes her hand while they watch, moving closer towards her on the sofa.

1. Whatsapp is valued more than the Gross Domestic Product of some countries like Iceland, North Korea and Jamaica. Wow! 2. Whatsapp doesn’t spend much, in a recent survey, it spent zero amount of cash in marketing, PR and user acquisition. 3. As of January, 2015 it was said that 30 billion messages were sent and received daily. (Since my new sim 15 months ago I have sent 33,303 messages and received 42,784) Wow, no wonder my thumb is killing me! 4. Whatsapp says that an average user checks/opens the app at least 23 times on a daily basis. More like 100+, it’s an addiction!

The biggest lie I tell myself is,”I don’t need to write that down, I’ll remember it.” When I was a child I thought naptime was punishment. Now it’s like a mini-vacation. Interesting Facts... The names of the two island groups of the Marshall Islands are the Ratak Chain and the Ralik Chain – Ratak meaning sunrise and Ralik meaning sunset. The atolls are coral deposits on the crater rims of submerged volcanoes. Elugelab, a Marshallese island, no longer exists – it was blown up by the US Armed Forces in 1952 during a hydrogen bomb test. The legacy of the post-war US occupation is seen particularly starkly on Bikini and Enewetak, which were both used for nuclear weapons testing between 1946 and 1958. Climate change threatens the very existence of the islands. Many atolls lie barely a metre above sea level and are at risk being engulfed by rising waters. The Marshall Islands provides the world’s largest sanctuary for sharks, which virtually doubled the protected area for sharks worldwide.

Vagina Wigs... Whatever Next! Goodness me... Back in February during the New York fashion week those attending almost choked on their beverages when they spotted models walking down the catwalk displaying what looked like a groomed thong, but quickly realised that actually they were sporting one of the raunchier trends of 2018 - the vagina wig! Also known as a Merkin. South Korean designer Kaimin is hoping these wigs will become a new high street fashion trend around the world, which come in all different shapes, sizes and colours - and some even have Mohawks!

Boost Your Health With Your Mind: 5 Simple Tips Did you know you can boost your health with Positive Thinking? When most of us think about improving our health, we think about changing our diets, taking vitamin supplements and exercising and all of those are indeed great steps to take. But, what we don’t think about that could help us most in the long run is the power of positive thinking. If you have 100 pounds you want to lose, it’s difficult to look on the bright side. You know it’s going to take awhile and getting started seems like a chore. With the power of positive thinking, you can learn to break up those pounds into chunks and be positive that you began and be happy for each goal you hit, even if it's only small. Congratulate yourself on every little success along the way.
conducted over time and found that those patients who had the most positive outlook about their conditions were 58% more likely to live an average of five years longer than the negative people. The study also noted that the positive people in the study exercised more, but didn’t know if exercise improved the mood or that the positive outlook led them to the exercise. Whatever the case may be, the result is a win-win situation!
It’s the same with the rest of your health problems. If you need to improve your cholesterol ratings, you’ll need to eat better & exercise. Positive thinking can do wonders for your health, but if you’ve been a negative thinker all your life, it may take some practice to transform your way of thinking.
So here are 5 quick tips to help you think more positively every day 1. Every morning when you wake up, give thanks and gratitude for all the good in your life. 2. Spend 10 or 15 minutes a day seeing yourself as whole, healthy and well. 3. Listen to meditation, relaxation or hypnosis recordings regularly. 4. Read motivational and/or personal development literature as most of it will reinforce the power of positive thinking. 5. Affirm that you are well, worthy, and deserve the best life has to offer.
An interesting study recently was focused on over 600 patients in a hospital. The study was

Whichever stage in life we are at right now, with time, we will face the day when the curtain comes down. Treasure Love for your family, love for your spouse, love for your friends...
At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life, I realise that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of impending death.
Treat yourself well. Cherish others.
You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make money for you but you cannot have someone to bear the sickness for you.
Whether we carry a $300 or $30 wallet/handbag - the amount of money inside is the same.
Material things lost can be found. But there is one thing that can never be found when it is lost – "Life".
Whether we drive a $150,000 car or a $30,000 car, the road and distance is the same, and we get to the same destination.
As we grow older, and hence wiser, we slowly realise that wearing a $300 or $30 watch they both tell the same time...

Steve Jobs’ Last Words (Continued) Whether we drink a bottle of $300 or $10 wine - the hangover is the same; Whether the house we live in is 300 or 3000 sq ft - loneliness is the same. You will realise, your true inner happiness does not come from the material things of this world. Whether you fly first or economy class, if the plane goes down - you go down with it...

There is a big difference between a human being and being human. Only a few really understand it.
Therefore.. I hope you realise, when you have mates, buddies and old friends, brothers and sisters, who you chat with, laugh with, talk with, have sing songs with, talk about north-south-east-west or heaven and earth, .... That is true happiness!!

Jumbo Breakfast? Café sets diners epic 65 item full English breakfast challenge - and nobody has ever completed it. Food challenges are becoming more and more popular as pubs and restaurants come up with bigger and bigger meals to test their hungry customers. But a café in Yorkshire has taken it to a whole new level with its incredible full English breakfast. Shepherd's Place Farm Café in Doncaster serves up ‘The Terminator 2’ - which contains eight of all the traditional English breakfast items, including bacon, sausages and eggs. It also comes with a lot of baked beans and toast. Despite the incredible amount of food the meal only costs £15. The farm's owner Ted Phillips created the challenge because diners were able to polish off their existing breakfast challenge, the Terminator, challenge too easily. He told Mail Online: "A lot of guys came from all over the north of England to try the
Terminator, and women started to come to do it too. "Some of them were doing it easily, so we created the Terminator 2."
The original breakfast, which cost £7.95, had four of every traditional fry up item Lots of people have already attempted the challenge, but nobody has managed to finish it yet. The café has posted several photos of the failed attempts on its Facebook page

A Tony An extremely handsome, caring guy. Amazing boyfriend material, loving and sweet. "Tonies" have great listening skills, and will lay around with you for hours. Will write sweet notes, and never forget an anniversary or birthday. Capable of making even the worst days better, and cute enough to kiss, a Tony is the best kind of guy. As a friend, they are the most fun to be around. They know all the funniest YouTube videos, and are the best at every video game. Can talk about anything with them for hours, and never get bored. Very loyal, and always willing to help out. A Tony is a very independent, strong-willed guy with a good head on his shoulders and a smile on his chiseled jawline. He's optimistic and cheerful, and has a beautiful smile. Any girl would be LUCKY to get a Tony.
Twilight It occurs at dusk & dawn; the darking up & the lightening up of the sky. Teh Orginally started off as a typo for "the", but recently has changed a bit in meaning. "Teh" still means "the", however, it is mostly used in the same manner that spanish speaking people use the word "El". Thongs 20th Century word for Sandals. Tool A guy with a hugely over-inflated ego, who in an attempt to get un-due attention for himself, will act like a jackass, because, in his deluded state, he will think it's going to make him look cool, or make others want to be like him. The person may even insincerely apologise later on, but only in an attempt to get more attention, or to excuse his blatantly intentional, and unrepentantly tool-ish behaviour. Tab An open order of items to be paid for in total
later, such as drinks ordered from a bar. Trogdor (1) The mythical creature. (2) Any foolish and absurd individual who is highly destructive and hot-tempered. (3) Someone who wants to be taken seriously, but comes across as ludicrous and irritating. Twerk The rhythmic gyrating of the lower fleshy extremities in a lascivious manner with the intent to elicit sexual arousal or laughter in ones intended audience. Toast Destroyed, terminated, ceased functioning, ended abruptedly by external forces. Tops Aussie, Irish, Scottish, English slang for fantastic or wonderful. Troll One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument T***waffle The idiot that gets on your last damn nerve. The person you know that suffers from excessive verbal diarrhea. The one you want to smack in the face with a pick-axe. The person who has done it all and done it better than you. We all know someone like this!  Truth That which would make most mainstream newspapers go out of business in a matter of days. Tony Blair George Bush's sex slave. Try-hard A person who puts a large amount of effort into achieving a certain image, or counter-image, to the point where it is obviously contrived. Rather than achieving an image through genuine personality, the try-hard consciously attempts to fit a certain style through deliberate imitation, forced style, or scripted behavior. That is to say, he/she is trying hard to create an image.

schizophrenia and more.
Marijuana contains two major chemical compounds responsible for its effects: THC and CBD. THC is the most well-known and causes euphoria and relaxation, otherwise known as the “high”. CBD, on the other hand, is non-psycho-active.
CBD has strong anti-oxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-convulsant, anti-depressant, anti-psychotic, anti-tumoral and neuroprotective qualities. Cannabidiol can change gene expression and remove beta amyloid plaque — the hallmark of Alzheimer’s — from brain cells.
CBD is promising as a treatment because it offers many health benefits without any psychoactive side effects. Patients with conditions ranging from epilepsy and anxiety to Parkinson’s disease are being prescribed CBD to treat their illnesses.
It really is a miracle molecule that brings balance to the body, and is being hailed as the “holy trinity of nature.” Its daily use is beneficial for everyone and anyone, plus it has no side effects or counter-indications.
CBD is starting to gain a well-deserved reputation and its benefits don’t cease to amaze us. It is also very effective in the treatment of chronic pain, cancer, Crohn’s, diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, PTSD, cardiovascular disease, antibiotic-resistant infections, multiple sclerosis,

I’m extremely adaptable in office organisation: I’ve used Microsoft Office. I’m honest, hard working and dependable: I pilfer office supplies. I take pride in my work: I blame others for my mistakes. I have a sense of humour: I know a lot of corny, old jokes and I tell them badly.

Top Indian Cuisine All you Indian food lovers out there may have noticed that Indialucia in Nerja opened its doors a couple of months ago. Maybe you have already tried it, but if not, then you should — you are missing a treat.
Indialucia is run by Piyush, formerly owner at Chez Spice in Los Romanes, but after returning from his travels, he has now brought his fabulous culinary skills back to Nerja, located where the Tuesday and Sunday markets are held. After years of missing Piyush’s different style of menu, it was time for a visit, so four of us set off to Nerja one warm evening in June. On arrival it was great to see there was ample parking and easy access, and even better was meeting Piyush again on the large terrace. He showed us to our seats, which offered beautiful sea views. With the drinks order taken and poppadams being tucked into, it was time to look at the menu. Piyush has learned to make some fantastic new dishes while on his travels, and he has added these to the menu, making it different from many other Indian restaurants. I usually opt for chicken korma but with the menu bursting with these new dishes, I had to try something different — and boy, am I glad I did!
The chicken patia was my choice. The chicken itself was so tender it almost melted in my mouth and the mango sauce was oozing with flavour. It was accompanied by pilau rice, garlic naan and a scrumptious, crispy-on-the-outside, soft-in-the-middle onion bahjee, just how I like them. All this was washed down with a refreshing Coca Cola (I was driving!) My companions also sampled the king prawn biryani, chicken makni and a mirchi wali sizzling chicken, smoked in black pepper. In fact, they enjoyed their meals so much, they decided to order a takeaway for their two children. If you would like to enjoy a nice Indian meal in a lovely setting, with sea views, a bouncy castle to keep the children amused and even a TV area if you would like to watch the World Cup, then Indialucia is the place to choose. & t i Fru Facts s Veg entil L
Once regarded as purely a food only eaten by vegetarians, lentils have now become a tasty staple in many people’s diets as their healthy properties have become more widely recognised. Low in calories and high in nutrition, lentils are the perfect legume to eat in the summer in salads, spreads, for crudité and crackers, and as an item on a vegetarian dinner plate, whilst in winter, they add quality to soups and stews. Among many other positive attributes, lentils help to reduce blood cholesterol since they contain high levels of soluble fibre. Lowering your cholesterol levels reduces your risk of heart disease and stroke by keeping your arteries clean. Several studies have shown that eating high-fibre foods such as lentils reduces your risk of heart disease too. In addition, lentils are a great source of folate and magnesium, which are big contributors to heart health. Folate lowers your homocysteine levels, a serious risk factor for heart disease. Magnesium improves blood flow, oxygen and nutrients throughout the body. Low levels of magnesium have been directly associated with heart disease, so eating lentils will keep your heart happy. Insoluble dietary fibre found in lentils also helps prevent constipation and other digestive disorders such as irritable bowel syndrome and diverticulosis. Adding to the many benefits of fibre, soluble fibre traps carbohydrates, slowing down digestion and stabilising blood sugar levels. This can be especially helpful for those with
diabetes, insulin resistance or hypoglycaemia. Of all legumes and nuts, lentils contain the third-highest levels of protein. 26 percent of lentils’ calories are attributed to protein, which makes them a wonderful source of protein for vegetarians and vegans. Lentils also stimulate the production of steady, slow-burning energy due to their fibre and complex carbohydrates. Lentils are a good source of iron too, which transports oxygen throughout your body and is key to energy production and metabolism. Although lentils include all these beneficial nutrients such as fibre, protein, minerals and vitamins, they are still low in calories and contain virtually no fat. One cup of cooked lentils only contains about 230 calories, but still leaves you feeling full and satisfied. This humble legume therefore is so much more than just a vegetarian “fad,” so start adding lentils to many more meals in your household and begin to reap their proven health benefits.

Sex After Death A couple made a deal that whoever died first would come back and inform the other of the afterlife. Their biggest fear was that there was no after life at all. After a long life together, the husband was the first to die. True to his word, he made the first contact: “Marion... Marion” “Is that you, Bob?” “Yes, I’ve come back like we agreed.” “That’s wonderful! What’s it like?” “Well, I get up in the morning, I have sex. I have breakfast and then it’s off to the golf course. I have sex again, bathe in the warm sun and then have sex a couple more times. Then I have lunch (you’d be proud - lots of greens). Another romp around the golf course, then pretty much have sex the rest of the afternoon. After supper, it’s back to the golf course again. Then it’s more sex until late at night. I catch some much needed sleep and then the next day it starts all over again”. “Oh, Bob you are in Heaven then”. “No Marion.... I’m a rabbit in Barnsley!”

s Now d b e l Ce en & on For Th Harris Harrison Ford was born on July 13, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, to Dorothy (Nidelman), a radio actress, and Christopher Ford (born John William Ford), an actor turned advertising executive. His father was of Irish and German ancestry, while his maternal grandparents were Jewish immigrants from Minsk, Belarus. After dropping out of college in Wisconsin, where he did some acting, he signed a Hollywood contract with Columbia and later Universal. However his roles in movies and television — The Virginian, 1962 and Ironside in 1967 — remained secondary and, discouraged, he turned to a career in professional carpentry. He still does this as a hobby. Harrison came back big, though, as Bob Falfa in American Graffiti (1973). Four years later, he won the role of Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977). In 1981, he became the iconic Indiana Jones in Raiders of the Lost Ark. He received Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations for his role as John Book in Witness (1985) as did his portrayal of Jack Ryan in Patriot Games (1992). Another Golden Globe nomination came his way for the part of Dr. Richard Kimble in The Fugitive (1993). A private pilot of both fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters, Harrison regularly flies himself between New York City and Wyoming, where he owns an 800-acre ranch. He has donated around half of this ranch as a nature reserve. On several occasions, Harrison has personally provided emergency helicopter services at the request of local authorities, in
one instance rescuing a hiker overcome by dehydration. He is an honorary board member of the humanitarian aviation organisation Wings of Hope, and a lifetime member of the Shropshire Aero Club in England. On March 5, 2015, Harrison’s plane made an emergency landing on the Penmar Golf Course in Venice, California. He was taken to hospital where he was found to have suffered a broken pelvis and broken ankle during the accident, as well as other injuries. Harrison has been married three times — to Mary Marquadt from 1964 to 1979, Melissa Mathison (1983 to 2004) and Calista Flockhart, whom he wed in June 2010. He has five children in all. Known to take a lot of hits and endure a lot of pain in his action films, he is known for playing unwilling but quick-witted heroes who can think on their feet, and he likes to do his own stunts. In 1995, he was chosen by Empire magazine as one of the 100 sexiest stars in film history and in 1998, People magazine voted him the sexiest man alive. He was listed in the 2001 Guinness Book of Records as the richest male actor. Harrison received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in May 30, 2003. As of this year, he has appeared in eight films that were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar: American Graffiti (1973), The Conversation (1974), Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope (1977), Apocalypse Now (1979), Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981), Witness (1985), Working Girl (1988) and The Fugitive (1993), but none has ever won. Following the success of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, he became the highestgrossing actor of all time, totalling $4.7 billion.
To advertise call 664 210 468 or email sales@thesentinella.com Teenage fatherhood a no-no Peter Andre has revealed he would be "pretty devastated" if his 12-year-old son Junior became a father at a young age. Writing in his column for New! magazine, the dad-of-four was discussing the recent news that Coronation Street actor Alex Bain, who plays Simon Barlow in the soap, is expecting his first child at 16. Even though Pete, 45, admitted he wouldn't want Junior to be in that situation, the doting dad said he would still "support" him and "stand by him". He said: "I’m not a soap lover so I don’t watch Coronation Street myself, but I heard that Alex Bain is being trolled over the fact he’s becoming a dad at 16 with his girlfriend Levi Shelby, also 16. "It’s a lot of pressure being a teenage parent and I hope they have the support of their families because they’re going to need it!" He added: "I’m not going to lie though, if J unior came home at 16 and told me he’d got his girlfriend pregnant, I’d be pretty devastated. "Of course I would stand by him and support him, but I just hope it never happens. But these things do and as parents we have to be prepared." The reality star shares Junior and 10-year-old daughter Princess with his ex-wife Katie Price.
Love Island spat Piers Morgan was stunned on Good Morning Britain when Susanna Reid admitted she lets her 12-year-old son watch Love Island. Susanna's confession came as Piers, 54, ranted about how only "idiots" watch the ITV2 reality show. "Do you want your kids to watch this?" the father-of-four asked his co-host, who admitted she loves the show. "They watch it," Susanna, 47, replied definately. “How young is the youngest?" an incredulous Piers replied.

C el e Newbrity s
When Susanna told him her youngest is 12, Piers exclaimed: "You are letting him watch that programme with young people basically trying to have sex on live TV?" Susanna disagreed that this was the motivation of the contestants. "They actually have pretty good morals compared to some of the stuff that's on television, it is much more moralistic" she argued. For once, Piers was actually lost for words as he held his head in his hands in despair. Susanna told him he was "out of touch".

Breaking The Ice: Exercises To Unfreeze A Frozen Shoulder In stretching we should feel a point of tension but not pain.
3. Finger Walk Face a wall three-quarters of an arm's length away. Reach out and touch the wall at waist level with the fingertips of the affected arm. With your elbow slightly bent, slowly walk your fingers up the wall, spider-like, until you've raised your arm as far as you comfortably can.
1. Pendulum stretch Do this exercise first. Relax your shoulders. Stand and lean over slightly, allowing the affected arm to hang down. Swing the arm in small circles.
2. Towel stretch Hold the towel in a horizontal position. Use your good arm to pull the affected arm upward to stretch it.
4. Cross-body reach Sit or stand. Use your good arm to lift your affected arm at the elbow, and bring it up and across your body, exerting gentle pressure to stretch the shoulder. See main advert below Amanda Payne Edge BSC HONS; RSA

Well Therm Thermography Clinic... ...offers women a valuable first-line breast health test to identify early changes, which has the ability to warn us early of the development of breast disease. Medical thermography can help your health care practitioner make a better diagnosis and choose the best treatment. Importantly, thermography does not need radiation or compression to make this health assessment of your breasts. Janet van Dam, certified clinical thermographer owner of Well Therm Thermography Clinic, wants to make a difference to women’s health after personally experiencing the effects of breast cancer in her family (mother and sister). Mammography in both cases was not helpful: her mother’s breast tumour was totally missed and her sister was too young to have any breast exam at the age of 28. Both found their own tumours. Unfortunately her Mum died. It is now understood that cancer is the end result of a disease process. Mammography,
ultrasound and current cancer treatments are focused on discovering and managing this end result rather than trying to change those factors that caused the cancer in the first place, like excess hormone activity and inflammation. Thermography is a valuable addition to current tests, because it visualises how tissues and organs are functioning rather than purely its structure. It specifically looks for tell tale signs of disease that cannot be seen by ultrasound or mammography / X-ray by comparing results over time, so that you can take control and make positive changes to your lifestyle to reverse and prevent disease. The more you build the picture of any screening method, the more accurate and reliable it is going to be. Because there is no radiation risk, repeat screenings will not affect your health in any way or your results. Continued opposite

People Who Come And Go A rush for the tourist businesses It appears at present that a huge number of Central and Northern Europeans are coming over to Spain with the intention of starting a new life here. All have two things in common: firstly, they all want to set up a business in tourism. Most of these would-be entrepreneurs are thinking along the lines of a B&B or self catering apartments on site. Most want at least 4 guest rooms, plus their own accommodation. And of course an in-ground pool, great views and good access. Others want a house and land for yurts to jump on the growing bandwagon of rural ‘glamping’ (camping in style!). This is wonderful, it is always very good to see enthusiastic people wishing to generate income and contribute to the Andalusian economy. But the biggest challenge they face is the second thing these clients all have in common: most want to achieve all of this within a budget of around 200,000€. This is where my enthusiasm is dashed, as in most cases this is unrealistic, to say the least. Most properties already set up as a tourist
business or B&B have starting prices of 350,000 or much more! And then there is a third issue which most are not aware of until they start looking in greater depth. The road to achieving a legal business of this type is now fraught with difficulties and obstacles. Obtaining a tourist licence has up until recently been a fairly easy process, only filling in a form, and ensuring the property meets the basic safety and comfort requirements, but now it is getting a little more complicated, with different town halls insisting on different requirements, from licences of first occupation or DAFO’s, and licences of ‘apertura’, to ensuring disabled access is in place in at least one room. The town halls are less than enthusiastic, especially in Malaga province (unlike other provinces in Andalucía), which is a terrible shame and a somewhat short sighted attitude, with little help available to these types of hopeful future residents. But I always say, where there’s a will, there’s a way, so come, oh would-be entrepreneurs, and let’s get you starting up your businesses in Andalusia! Portuguese Man O’ Wars Why are they so dangerous? The Portuguese Man o'War is not a jellyfish but they are very closely related and consist of a floating colony of hydrozoans - lots of really tiny marine organisms living together and behaving collectively as one animal. The man-of-war is made up of four polyps. Man-of-war are asexual. They are not a man or a woman! One polyp is responsible for all that action. A stranded Portuguese Man o'War looks a bit like a deflating purple balloon with blue ribbon. It's the tentacle-like polyps that can give an agonising and potentially lethal sting and on rare occasions its sting has been known to kill. The tentacles with the stinging cells can get to be 165 feet long! but are more on average about 50 feet. Their tentacles are loaded with coiled, barbed tubes that deliver venom capable of paralysing and killing small fish and crustaceans. Man-of-war tend to travel together (up to 1000!) Stings cause severe pain to humans and leave bright red whip-like welts on the skin for days afterwards. If you see one, do not touch it or pick it up.

All About Summer Summer is the hottest of the four temperate seasons, falling between spring and autumn. While rare, the plague is more readily contracted and spread during the warm summer months, particularly in the western U.S. In 2012, for example, a Colorado girl contracted the disease when she touched a dead squirrel on a family camping trip. Leprosy is more readily contracted during the summer. Each year about 150 Americans contract leprosy, the same skin-disease that is mentioned in the Bible. In the United States, the source of leprosy is usually armadillos. The disease is transmitted when people, particularly in the southern U.S., hunt, kill, and eat infected armadillo. According to custom, in the United States, a person can wear white pants only during the summer, or between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Watermelon is a classic summer treat. it is part of the cucumber, pumpkin, and squash family and consists of 92% water. On average, Americans consume 15 pounds of watermelon annually. Popsicles, a popular summer treat, was accidentally invented by an 11-year-old boy in San Francisco in 1905. He left a glass of soda sitting outside and by the next morning the soda had frozen. He began selling them at an amusement park in New Jersey. In the U.S., cherry is the number 1 flavour. July, the hottest summer month in the Northern Hemisphere, is National Ice Cream Month, not surprisingly. Americans eat an average 20 quarts of ice cream a year. Vanilla is the most popular flavour, with chocolate coming in second. (Continued on opposite page)
Well hello Summer! Finally it has arrived! Everyone is thinking sun, sand and sangria as holiday makers flock to the area. Most of us residents are working but whatever job you are in, there is always a hint of Summer Madness this time of year! At La Vaqueria we look forward to welcoming all of our new visitors, from so many different countries and we endeavour to make sure that your experience is a truly unique one. After all, if some one has saved up all year for their holiday and choose to spend part of it with us we feel not only honoured but also responsible for making sure that their visit is the best it can possibly be; special diets, fractious toddlers, bored teenagers, the not so nimble on their pins; we do our utmost to make you all feel at home and well looked after. If you are resident and are expecting visitors why not book a bespoke art class for the morning or book your guests in for our monthly mosaic workshop. If you are looking for something that little bit different, La Vaqueria is the place for you! This month we have the first of our "foody" workshops where nutritionists with over 20 years experience will help us think about what we eat and teach us how to improve our diets. Whilst on the subject of workshops, we are already planning our Autumn events and have lots of new ideas and lots of lovely new teachers interested but if there is something that you fancy having a go at please don't hesitate to get in touch and we can discuss it. See Fb for all our events.

All About Summer (Continued) The word honeymoon has associations with summer. The Pagans used that name for the first full moon in June because they drank fermented honey (mead) as part of summer wedding celebrations. School summer vacations were invented by educator Horace Mann in 1840. The first Summer Olympic Games were held
in 1896 in Athens. Women were first allowed to compete in 1900. On September 13, 1922, the temperature in the shade in the Libyan Desert reached 136 degrees Fahrenheit. This is hot enough to fry an egg on a rock! The longest summer bikini parade on record happened on August 19, 2012, in China with 1,085 participants. People generally take advantage of the high temperatures by spending more time outdoors during summer. Activities such as travelling to the beach and picnics occur during the summer months

Axarquia Sports Page TorreTorrox Golf Society played its monthly competition at Torrequebrada Golf Course in June. Torrequebrada is an 18-hole, par-72 and 5,852 metre length course situated in Benalmadena with the beach and mountain views. This course opened in 1976 and was designed by Pepe Gancedo. Considered a masterpiece, it is recognised as one of the most beautiful and well established courses on the Costa del Golf. The Spanish Open was held here in 1979, although it is not a long course, it is a test of skills for players of all levels with the tee shot here being of prime importance. Wild drives will loose balls in the trees and the woods, in the rough, in the bunkers and in water hazards. Don't be fooled by the short 80 metre length third hole, Seve Ballesteros scored a 7 here!! Although a lot of development has taken place around the course which inevitably has taken away some of the views, this course still manages to retain its intimacy amongst the thousands of established trees which align and border every hole. The buggies where all fitted with GPS and screens so we could all see how far
we had not hit the ball! The day was sponsored by Currencies Direct so lots of prizes and freebies went around. Some of the winners on the day where; Dave Brooks who won closest to the pin on a very tricky par 3 hole. The longest drive was taken by Nick Gordon who managed an impressive 316 yard drive, straight down the middle on a flat fairway. On the day Rob Townsend aka Mr Platinum came in on top place, scoring 38 points followed not very closely by Les Pimlott, and in third place was Dave Brooks beaten on count back. The ‘Thanks for Turning Up’ prize was closely contested however Mick Andronik pulled it out the bag by losing the last 14 holes! The next competition is on the first Saturday in July, 7th at the Parador Golf Club, so if you would like to play contact us on Facebook FB: TorreTorrox Golf Society We look forward to hearing from you.

On occasions we organise something rather more special, Mystery Tours or Weekends Away. The Jaguar Enthusiasts' Club is the largest Jaguar Club in the world and was formed in 1984, by members of other Jaguar Clubs, for the enthusiast who not only used, but maintained or restored their SS, Jaguar or Daimler. At our monthly meetings you can find out about our wide range of activities that range from the cultural and gastronomic to quizzes, games and films. We also organise days out and short trips away. Through its members El Valle has links to groups that enjoy a variety of pursuits including leisurely scenic walks, more energetic cross-country hash runs, photography, quad biking, drama, bird watching and dancing. So whatever your interests El Valle has something for you! We meet on the first Mon of each month (apart from Aug when we take a break!) at the Camping Bar, Lake Vinuela. Please visit www.campinglavinuela.es for directions. ) : a h a Jokes h Thanks to MP for the following jokes... I urgently needed a few days off work, but, I knew the Boss would not allow me to take leave. I thought that maybe if I acted 'Crazy' then he would tell me to take a few days off. So I hung upside-down on the ceiling and made funny noises. My co-worker (who's blondie pink) asked me what I was doing. I told her that I was pretending to be a light bulb so that the Boss might think I was 'Crazy' and give me a few days off. A few minutes later the Boss came into the office and asked, 'What the bloody hell are you doing?' I told him I was a light bulb. He said, 'You are clearly stressed out.' Go home and recuperate for a couple of days.' I jumped down and walked out of the office... When my co-worker (the blondie pink) followed me, the Boss asked her,'.. And where do you think you're going?!' She said, 'I'm going home, too. I can't work in the dark. ------------------------------------------------------------On a recent trip to the USA Julius Malema addressed a major gathering of native American Indians. He spoke for almost an hour on his plans for South Africa and how he envisioned nationalising the mines. At the conclusion of his speech, the crowd presented him with a plaque inscribed with his new Indian name "Walking Eagle". A very chuffed Malema then departed in his motorcade, waving to the crowds. A news reporter later asked one of the Indians how they came to select the new name given to Malema.
They explained that Walking Eagle is the name given to a bird so full of s*** that it can no longer fly. ------------------------------------------------------------A Kiwi ventriloquist visiting Australia walks into a small village and sees a local sitting on his veranda patting his dog. He figures he'll have a little fun, so he says to the Aussie... 'G'day mate, mind if I talk to your dog?' Villager: 'The dog doesn't talk, you stupid Kiwi.' Ventriloquist: 'Hello dog, how's it going mate?' Dog: 'Yeah, doin' all right.' ... Aussie: (look of extreme shock!!!) Ventriloquist: 'Is this villager your owner?' (pointing at the Villager) Dog: 'Yep' Ventriloquist: 'How does he treat you?' Dog: 'Yeah, real good. He walks me twice a day, feeds me great food and takes me to the lake once a week to play.' Aussie: (look of utter disbelief) Ventriloquist: 'Mind if I talk to your horse?' Aussie: 'Uh, the horse doesn't talk either... I think.' Ventriloquist: 'Hey horse, how's it going?' Horse: 'Cool' Aussie: (absolutely dumbfounded) Ventriloquist: 'Is this your owner?' (Pointing at the villager) Horse: 'Yep' Ventriloquist: How does he treat you? Horse: 'Pretty good, thanks for asking. He rides me regularly, brushes me down often and keeps me in the shed to protect me from the elements.' Aussie: (total look of amazement) Ventriloquist: 'Mind if I talk to your sheep?' Aussie: (in a panic) 'The sheep's a f**** liar...'

Compromise and collaboration are needed to attain your goals
LIBRA: September 23 - October 22 Emotional issues will rule over career and professional ambition. Make your intentions clear and you will have the support you crave without need for assertiveness or dependence on others SCORPIO: October 23 - November 21 Whilst feeling inclined to indulge in shopping for personal items in July, you may also receive some luxury gifts from someone near and dear to you. Your friends and your partner will be supportive of both ideas and indulgences
GEMINI: May 22-June 21 Your financial perception is in tune giving you confidence to risk speculation, especially if your ideas are innovative and creative. Exercise and a good diet are important
SAGITTARIUS: November 22 December 21 Humanitarian issues will be a source of activity for Sagittarians during this month with spiritual matters dominating. Your intuition is heightened, enabling you to visualise the future and make relevant plans
CANCER: June 22-July 22 Your family environment will be cheerful and harmonious helping you to attain objectives through compromise and understanding. This is not a great time to be assertive or independent but networking will achieve rewards
CAPRICORN: December 22 - January 20 You can dictate the course of your life and accomplish objectives with more aggression than you’ve recently shown, whilst augmenting your career prospects with your excellent social connections
LEO: July 23-August 23 The focus for Leos during July should be on feeling good rather than on personal achievements. Focus on conserving your energy and sleeping well, maybe treat yourself to a spa or massage
AQUARIUS: January 21 - February 19 Despite chaotic conditions at work, there is considerable career development during July. Aquarians will be able to face all challenges with confidence and courage
VIRGO: August 24-September 22 July is ideal for Virgo to formulate future career goals using personal enterprise and making some hard decisions, whilst leaving the execution of them to a later date. Resolve niggling family conflict for a relaxed home life
PISCES: February 20 - March 20 You can use your charm and grace to achieve goals this month with opportunities to enhance both professional success and personal understanding. You can expect recognition and financial reward
