This month I’m slowly learning the impatient art of patience! I’m sitting here typing this editorial currently three days past baby’s due date. Every day I wake up and think, “Is today the day?” And then the day passes, and I go to bed feeling slighly more disappointed than the night before as I look at the empty Moses basket at my bedside wondering when there will finally be a baby lying in there! By the time this magazine has actually been printed and comes out I’d imagine baby will be here, but then it could even arrive in early December. One never knows when it comes to the mysteries of babies. And we still don’t know the sex, so it will be a wonderful surprise when we finally find out. I was secretly hoping to have a Scorpio baby, as that’s also my star sign so I feel like I have a mutual understanding of Scorpios. However, the Scorpio date has passed so one thing I do know for certain is that this will be a Sagittarius baby, which means that he or she will like to travel… apart from that I don’t know too much about Sagittarians but am sure I’ll learn a lot in the years ahead.

Lost Owl A disorientated owl has hitched a lift on a helicopter after flying more than 100 miles to an oil rig in the North Sea. Workers cared for the bird since it landed on the platform, and it was airlifted back to shore on the first available ‘copter. Lit is now being looked after by the SSPCA in Fishcross, Alloa, Clackmannanshire. "The owl is doing great after his lengthy flight," said centre manager Colin Seddon. The owl will be checked over before being released. "He is waiting for a vet check before going out to our aviary and, providing all is well, he will be released within the next few weeks depending on weather conditions." It is not the first time that a bird has needed a ride after taking a wrong turn and ending up on an oil platform – in June, a lost racing pigeon was rescued after crash-landing 160 miles offshore. Trigger happy An 11-year-old chocolate Labrador called Trigger shot his 25-year-old owner in the foot while they were out hunting. The enthusiastic pooch stepped on the 12-bore shotgun as it lay on the ground, setting it off. Allie Carter, of Avilla, in Indiana, had left the safety catch off. Ms Carter, who had not undertaken a hunter education course, needed hospital treatment for her injured left foot but was later discharged. The accident, which happened in the TriCounty Fish and Wildlife Area in northern Indiana, has led officials to remind gun owners to always have the barrel of the weapon pointed in a safe direction and to use the s a f e t y mechanism.

De Cotta Law Running a business in Spain Those of you who run medium or small businesses in Spain will be hard workers with initiative and drive but sometimes red tape can overwhelm you, particularly if you are not familiar with the procedures and regulations. At a recent Business forum in London run by the British Chamber of Commerce in Spain the figures for new UK based businesses setting up in Spain were very encouraging. If you have an established business or are thinking of opening a business in Spain it is important to get your billing system in order. Before issuing invoices or fee notes, it is wise to check your contractual agreements or payment terms are clearly set out in your terms of business or on your invoices. On the basis that prevention is better than cure a consultation with a lawyer can help to ensure you are not left with unpaid bills owed to your company. However even the best regulated businesses can still occasionally have debtors and there is an accelerated procedure for dealing with these. With the original invoice or bill a demand letter will firstly be sent by your lawyer. If this remains unpaid the lawyer can commence a monetary claim by presenting the bill in court with a power of attorney issued by the company allowing them to act. If there is no defence to the claim then execution can be sought against assets. These assets can include property, bank accounts, cars etc. Where a defence is entered there has to be a hearing and this can increase costs, as if the claim is for more than 2.000â‚Ź you also have to appoint a court procurator. However your business would normally be able to recover some of the legal costs if you are successful. This applies whether you have incorporated a Spanish limited company or are working for yourself and registered as self-employed or autonomo. For more information please contact info@decottalaw.net or call 952 527014.

www.cslawyers.es Differences between the land registry and the catastral office The main one has already been answered because the “Registro de la Propiedad” confirms the legal ownership of a property as well as (with the production of a Nota Simple) confirmimg the conditions of this ownership, like who owns the property, in which percentage, if is there limitations or charges (like mortgage, public auctions, Tribunal disputes, etc). The Catastro details will give you a better understanding of the boundaries of the property (usually in a visual form) and, size and description of the property. But, when you complete the building of a house over that land, then you must inform the Catastro (Council Tax authority), that over that land now there is a “house”, with determinate specifications. This is to confirm the Catastro that, where before there was only land, now there is a house. This process is called DECLARACION DE OBRA NUEVA. If you do not do it, you can have future problems. This updating of the Catastro was always a voluntary system so anyone who failed to update
their property in the Catastro (and therefore saved on the tax due) was doing nothing wrong. But, now, since 2014, it is OBLIGATORY. So, now, it has been established a period of 2 years (until 2016) to REGULARIZE and UPDATE CATASTRO. Catastro has noted that there is a high number of properties that are not updated in the Catastro database. Usually, these properties have under-declared size of building, or parts of the property (like pool, garages, or other parts of the house), not declared in Catastro, and, consequently, PAYING LESS COUNCIL TAX THAN THEY SHOULD. So, it is absolutely necessary that you ask for legal advice to check if you have to UPDATE YOUR CATASTRO RECORDS. The problem usually comes from rustic and country areas in which is very difficult to “coordinate” the information recorded in both cases. Thus, unfortunately, we have not a specific solution for problems between Catastro, Land Registry, and the real description, more than an individualised study of each particular case. get free legal advice on the catastral information of your property! info@cslawyers.es

Asbestos - Have You Been In Contact?

obtain for them in full. I can also guarantee that all claims are dealt with by a qualified solicitor.
My name is Steve Woods and I am a solicitor based in Chester, UK, specialising in claims for asbestos related diseases. I have been dealing with these claims for over 25 years and I have been visiting people in Spain for the last four years recently having been to Competa, Benalmadena and Torremolinos.
I am happy to talk to anyone free of charge about their individual situation to see if a claim is possible.
If you are suffering with breathing problems it is important to have them checked out by your doctor. Investigations can show whether lung damage has been caused by exposure to asbestos and so it is important to make your doctor aware if you have come into contact with asbestos in the UK during your working life. If you or someone you know has been diagnosed with an asbestos related condition or has breathing problems and has come into contact with asbestos in the UK please get in touch. You may be entitled to claim damages or benefits in the UK and I can help on a no win no fee basis. It does not matter if the person involved has died because a claim may still be possible. A change in the rules now enables a solicitor to agree with his client to take a share of any money recovered. A lot of solicitors now do this but I do not because I believe that my clients should receive whatever compensation I can
I can be contacted on 00 44 1244 340560 at info@woodslaw.co.uk or alternatively you can visit my website at www.woodslaw.co.uk See main advert below

interesting Facts - Long under English or British rule, Ireland lost half its population in the decades following the Great Potato Famine of the 1840s, becoming a nation of emigrants. Independence from Britain was declared in the Easter Rising of 1916. The rising was crushed and many of its leaders executed, but the campaign for independence carried on through a bloody Anglo-Irish War of 1919-1921. It was in 1922 that 26 counties of Ireland gained independence from London. The world famous Guinness beer is from Ireland, it originated in the Dublin brewery of Arthur Guinness. The Irish consume on average 131.1 litres of beer per year - the 2nd highest per-capita consumption after the Czech Republic. 88% of Irish citizens are nominally Roman Catholic. The Republic of Ireland has one of the highest rates of church attendance in the Western World (around 45% of regular Mass attendance).

Do You Have Erosion Problems? We all love a success story. David and Anna have had so many clients share with them their success stories, acquire additional Vetiver plants, send photos of before and after planting, that they have decided to build a new page on their website to share customers images and their stories. Below is a photo of one example. One of their clients built a corral for his horses. The land that was pushed away to level the ground for the corral became a real erosion issue for him. He planted 400 Vetiver plants in rows and 35 months later the erosion had stopped. He then found out by accident that after cutting the Vetiver and drying it his horses loved it. So he is using it as hay. If you cut back regularly and keep the plants less than a metre tall you can cut everyday and have a replenishable source of high

nutrient hay. After some of their own studies they also found that their worse producing olive trees are now their best. They had planted a row of Vetiver next to them. So now they are planting around every olive tree and also the fruit trees. They have found numerous studies that have shown that the fruit crop yields are 20-36% percent better with Vetiver near them. The reason is the root system is not only strong but they store water deep in the ground. There becomes a symbiotic relationship between the Vetiver and the other trees. The trees have access to the water from the Vetiver roots and the roots being so deep pull nutrients up that the other trees cannot reach. David and Anna would like to hear your stories. Photos are also appreciated. Let them know if you want to have your name or have your location mentioned. They have also added a page in the menu bar labeled “Growth.” They would love to add your stories and photos to the page. http://www.vetiverspain.com/growth.html See main advert on page 46

Navidad By Laura Campbell from Sedella There is something wonderful but very strange about celebrating Christmas under bright sunshine and blue skies if you have been brought up in the North of Europe. As I sat at the beach restaurant, glass of wine in hand and watched my children play on the sand, I loved that I could celebrate the big day in such style. I took pictures and posted them on facebook and my friends and family in the UK commented on how lucky I was. And I am. However somewhere deep within it doesn't quite feel right. Halloween in the sun, yes, great! New Years day on the promenade, yes! Easter, watching the processions, yes! But... Christmas.. well I am not so sure. I have had 13 years of Christmas days here in the Axarquia. All fun, all family centred, some with rain and most in the sun. I have learnt about the Three Kings and whilst I was married to a Spaniard I virtually gave up on Santa Claus as I fitted in with the Spanish traditions and life. When I first moved here most local people did not have a Christmas tree and had the traditional "Belen", which is a Spanish version of the nativity scene in their house. As mentioned above, Santa did not exist and a stocking above the chimney was unheard of. The Spanish have other traditions such as having Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve, present giving on the 6th of January and sweet Christmas treats such as turron and mantecados. All perfectly normal adjustments when you are living and adapting to a foreign country. However, Disney channel arrived in Spain and along with it many movies from the States. The Spanish people have fallen, just like us all, for the won-
derful magic of Christmas a la Hollywood. And I have to admit I am a little bit pleased. I am in love with a few of the old Christmas traditions I grew up with. Not only in love but I have a lust to pass these traditions on to my children. I will now admit that I am happy to live life the Spanish way but there are a few things I want to bring back into my life and with these recent changes in style over here I can unashamedly bring back my lovely tree, the stockings and I have even introduced my local neighbours to mulled wine, which went down well, as many of them worked in Germany years ago and remember the "gluhwein". So Christmas is pretty good, I have all the details back that I loved plus we enjoy the Spanish traditions. Malaga has some of the prettiest Christmas lights I have ever seen. One huge bonus about living in Spain is we avoid the huge commercial aspect that starts early in the UK, apart from a few adverts appearing on Spanish tv for perfume and chocolate you will only find a few shops selling Christmas decorations in October. It still feels strange, though. Why? I don't quite know. Maybe I do need that cold snow that is depicted in the movies, but then that is what so much of Christmas is all about, the movie scene and trying to make everything perfect. None of us can recreate that no matter how well we are guided by House and Home magazine or Nigella Lawson. I have my health, my family and happiness, that is what I shall be celebrating this Christmas, and after I watch the wonderful old Christmas movies on Paramount channel I will go and grab the dog lead and take my Spaniel out for a walk in the hills whilst the sunshine warms my back and give thanks that I can have it all.
Merry Christmas to each and everyone of you! Enjoy!
Merry Christmas

Facts About Christmas Trivia facts about Yule time...... “Silent Night” was first sung as part of a church service in Austria. A guitar was used because the church organ was so badly rusted it couldn’t be played. In Germany there are many different characters for Christmas. Nikolaus comes on December 5th and on December 24th when the actual opening of the gifts is happening, they have been brought either by Knecht Ruprecht, Weihnachtsmann, or the Christkindl, (Christ child) wich is an angelic child dressed in a white and or golden dress much like a long nightgown. It has wings, and has usually a small horse or a donkey as a companion. In Germany and some other western European countries, St. Nicholas, or Nikolaus comes on the night from the 5th to the 6th of Decemer, where children have their boots all shined and clean in front of a door or window. He will leave toys, nuts, oranges, apples and chocolate for the good children. The bad child get a branch to be used by the parents to punish the child. In North America, children put stockings out at Christmas time. Their Dutch counterparts use shoes.
Guatemalan adults do not exchange Christmas gifts until New Year’s Day. Children get theirs (from the Christ Child) on Christmas morning. The poinsettia, a traditional Christmas flower, originally grew in Mexico, where it is also known as the ‘Flower of the Holy Night’. Joel Poinsett first brought it to America in 1829. When distributing gifts in Holland, St. Nicholas is accompanied by his servant, Black, who is responsible for actually dropping the presents down their recipients’ chimneys. He also punishes bad children by putting them in a bag and carrying them away to Spain. The day after Christmas, December 26, is known as Boxing Day. It is also the holy day of St. Stephen. In Armenia, the traditional Christmas Eve meal consists of fried fish, lettuce and spinach. Christmas has different meanings around the world; Christmas Eve in Japan is a good day to eat fried chicken and strawberry shortcake. Alabama was the first state to recognize Christmas as an official holiday, and the tradition began in 1836.

Please mention The Sentinella when responding to adverts Daimalos
Daimalos, pronounced Die Malos, is a very small village which is part of the municipality of Arenas on the Mudejar Route. It is 47 kilometres from Málaga and just 14 kilometres from the sea side resort of Torre del Mar. Known for its Oloroso wine, strangely the village doesn´t even have a bar! Although most households have their own homemade version which they are happy to share! It has to rely on its next door neighbour Arenas for all its amenities. Daimalos is probably most famous for its Fountain of Love! A small watering hole situated on the right as you drive up to the top of the v i l l a g e . Fuente Perdida is an arab fountain from the 12th century during the Marinid dynasty. The water in this fountain is supposed to be an aphorodisiac and legend has it that if a single person drinks from the fountain they will be married shortly afterwards! Probably not that unlikely as the village only houses about 100 people! This fountain is mentioned in the Daimalos set-
AS2849
tlement books as early as 1561. Villagers believe that if you are already married drinking from the fountain will help you conceive and the flowing water is supposed to increase sexual power! Not to be forgotten is the Parish Church of La Concepción with its seventeenth century minaret rising high above the church with its belfry silhouetted against the sky. In 2004 this Minaret was designated a Cultural Asset by the Government of Andalucia. Life in Daimalos is tranquil and happy (possibly due to the effects of the water!) not many houses come up for sale here as once ensconced in the village most people are happy to stay. To get to Daimalos the easiest way is via Arenas, keep going and round the next bend you will discover its cluster of white houses, apparently clinging together for fear of falling off the hill! Take you camera and a water bottle (or two) Then once you are done sightseeing, head back to Arenas for tapas or lunch in the bar/restaurant on the right hand side on the way out, just by the statue of the Mule.

Angels On The Christmas Tree Angels on the Christmas Tree The fairy at the top of the Christmas tree was originally a little figure of the baby Jesus. In the late seventeenth century in Germany this became a shining angel. In Victorian Britain, little girls would take the angel down after Christmas and dress him in dolls' clothes. Eventually the angel turned into a thoroughly female fairy, complete with wand. The transformation was boosted by the pantomimes that became popular in the Victorian era - and, naturally, included a good fairy in the cast. Cherubs hung on trees, represent the angels who heralded the birth of Christ. The star, which forms one of the most important ornaments of the Christmas tree, indicates the guiding star which led the shepherds to the new born Jesus Christ in the stable in Bethlehem.
Stars have knocked angels off the top of the nation's Christmas trees. Demand has fallen so much that some street retailers have dropped angel tree toppers from shops this year. A decade ago angels were still outselling star tree toppers but now stars outsell angels more than 10-fold.Making Angels at Christmas Snow Women Make Your Own Christmas Angel Every child should make a Christmas angel! Use a ping-pong ball for the head, but you can also use an egg. As for the body, you are spoilt for choice with cardboard, polystyrene, Styrofoam or old rolls. For the wings, you could use ribbon, lace or other suitable fabric. Then you can have fun painting your angel. Use rough painting for the body, but use careful brushstrokes when painting the face.

Art Exhibition - Velez Malaga 29th - 31st December Artist Carmen Aros originates from Chile but moved to Spain in the 70s. Three years on, she moved to England where, in her 30s, she discovered painting “10 years ago my husband and I decided to move to the Axarquia so that we could spend more time on art,” she explains. “I've been painting for a long time but have only consistently dedicated more time to it over the past year.” Carmen’s husband Peter makes frames for her pictures and they tend to be an integral part of the work. “I use acrylics mainly but lately I have been experimenting with Chinese ink,” she continues. “In the past I have used other materials such as sand, textiles etc; my work is abstract or semi abstract.” Carmen has had no formal training, but was mainly inspired by painters Paul Klee and Kandinsky.” I tend to use strong colours – no doubt something to do with my background,“ she adds.” Where I come from – Punta Arenas in the Chilean Patagonia – we used to paint our houses in all kinds of vivid colours. When I start
a painting I usually have an idea in my head; usually someone else’s work which I find interesting. However the finished work rarely resembles what I originally had in my mind! This might be a source of frustration or delight but there’s nothing that cannot be painted over again, modified or adjusted in some way.” Carmen has had several exhibitions both in England and Spain; her last one was in July in Sala San Francisco in Velez. You can visit Carmen’s exhibition in Velez Malaga, Calzada de herrera 6, from 12 noon - 8pm from Tuesday 29th December until Thursday 31st December. See main advert opposite for contact details

Random Jokes An old farmer went out and bought a new pair of boots. He got home and tried to get his old lady to notice them, but she didn't. So he went in the bedroom, took off all his clothes, and came out wearing only the new boots. "Notice anything?", He said. "All I can see is a limp w****". She replied. "Yes, but look at what its pointing at, My new boots". He said.

insurance Claims If at any time you have to make an insurance claim then here are a few simple guidelines. ALwAYS:-Keep an original set of the general conditions and the particular conditions of the policy, for future reference. -Report to your insurance company on any incident a.s.a.p. by phone, and importantly you must ask for a reference number for the incident to ensure that the report has been documented. -Take photos of the situation on the same day that the incident/accident happened, or at the latest by the following day. -Write your own statement of accident/situation (date, hour, etc) for future reference. -Keep all original documents of the situation (medical reports, police reports, etc.) and NEVER give the insurance companies the originals, just provide photocopies of the required documents. -Use your own independent solicitor, for your own interest we do not advise you to use the solicitor offered by the insurance company, they are obliged to pay for the solicitor of your choice. - Follow up your claim. DO NOT allow time to pass by with no progress. Within 3-6 months from the time of accident/incident send a letter
to the insurance company by registered post with an acknowledgement of receipt request. Mention in this letter the reference number of your insurance policy, reference of the incident/accident and date of it. REMEMBER:1. If you do not receive a satisfactory result for your case within 6 months, contact an independent solicitor to represent you and to claim on your behalf. 2. There is a time limit of 1 year to from the moment of accident/incident to file a civil claim against insurance companies. 3. As time is of the essence some insurance companies may try delaying tactics and they can be reluctant to compensate customers when something happens that is covered by their policy. That is why it is better to seek independent legal advice should you suffer an accident, or if you are not happy with the way the insurance company is dealing with the situation. If you are involved with an insurance problem or claim and wish to discuss it with us, free of charge, please contact: Axarquia Solicitors on 952 901 225, mail@axarquiasolicitors.com or visit their website www.axarquiasolicitors.com To arrange a free, no obligation appointment with one of our specialist lawyers at the Axarquia offices you can also contact Melanie Elst on Mob. 685 589 802.

Christmas Poem Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer Grandma got run over by a reindeer Walking home from our house Christmas eve You can say there’s no such thing as Santa But as for me and Grandpa, we believe She’d been drinkin’ too much egg nog And we’d begged her not to go But she’d left her medication So she stumbled out the door into the snow
They should never give a license To a man who drives a sleigh and plays with elves Grandma got run over by a reindeer Walkin’ home from our house, Christmas eve You can say there’s no such thing as Santa But as for me and Grandpa, we believe!
When they found her Christmas mornin’ At the scene of the attack There were hoof prints on her forehead And incriminatin’ Claus marks on her back Grandma got run over by a reindeer Walkin’ home from our house Christmas eve You can say there’s no such thing as Santa But as for me and Grandpa, we believe Now were all so proud of Grandpa He’s been takin’ this so well See him in there watchin’ football Drinkin’ beer and playin’ cards with cousin Belle It’s not Christmas without Grandma All the family’s dressed in black And we just can’t help but wonder Should we open up her gifts or send them back? Grandma got run over by a reindeer Walkin’ home from our house Christmas eve You can say there’s no such thing as Santa But as for me and Grandpa, we believe Now the goose is on the table And the pudding made of fig And a blue and silver candle That would just have matched the hair in Grandma’s wig I’ve warned all my friends and neighbours Better watch out for yourselves

Water A cardiologist determined that heart attacks can be triggered by dehydration. Now I carry a bottle of water wherever I go Also from the Mayo Clinic: How many people do you know who say they don't want to drink anything before going to bed because they'll have to get up during the night? Heart Attack and Water: Drink one glass of water before going to bed to a avoid stroke or heart attack! Something else I didn't know -- I asked my Doctor why people need to urinate so much at night time. Answer from my Cardiac Doctor: Gravity holds water in the lower part of your body when you are upright (legs swell). When you lie down and the lower body (legs and etc.) seeks level with the kidneys, it is then that the kidneys remove the water because it is easier. I know you need your minimum water to help flush the toxins out of your body, but this was news to me. Correct time to drink water: Very Important. from A Cardiac specialist! Drinking water at a certain time maximises its effectiveness on the body: 2 glasses of water after waking up -helps activate internal organs 1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal -- helps digestion 1 glass of water before taking a bath -- helps lower blood pressure 1 glass of water before going to bed -- avoids stroke or heart attack I can also add to this -- My Physician told me that water at bed time will also help prevent night time leg cramps. Your leg muscles are seeking hydration when they cramp and wake you up with a Charlie Horse. Mayo Clinic on Aspirin: Most heart attacks occur in the day, generally between 6 A.M. and noon. Having one during the night, when the heart should be most at rest, means that something unusual happened. Somers and his colleagues have been working for a decade to show that sleep apnea is to blame. 1. If you take an aspirin or a baby aspirin once a day, take it at night. The reason: Aspirin has a 24-hour "half-life"; therefore, if most heart attacks happen in the wee hours of the morning, the Aspirin would be strongest in your system. 2. Aspirin lasts a really long time in your medicine chest; for years. (When it gets old, it smells like vinegar.) Something that we can do to help ourselves. Bayer is making crystal aspirin to dissolve instantly on the tongue. They
work much faster than the tablets. why keep Aspirin by your bedside? It's about Heart Attacks. There are other symptoms of a heart attack, besides the pain on the left arm. One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating; however, these symptoms may also occur less frequently. There may be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack. The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their sleep did not wake up. However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep. If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth and swallow them with a bit of water. Afterwards: Call for an ambulance. DO NOT LIE DOWN! A Cardiologist has stated that if each person after reading this, passes this information on to 10 people, probably one life could be saved! I have now shared this information with over 21,000 readers. What about you? Do tell your friends and family. It may save lives! "Life is a one-time gift."

Until 22! The story of Oana.... I’ve had problems with the language ever since I moved to Spain, but I've felt the Spanish want to help me to learn more easily as they are so friendly. I've watched soap operas over and over, until one day I went to the fruit shop and I said everything perfectly! After that it was nice when I could start a conversation with Spanish people and I began feel integrated; they make you feel so welcome. But. Do I want to live here from now on? Do you ever think that your life is here, in a foreign country? That you will only go to your "home” country for holiday, that your job, new friends and plans are here in Spain? Sometimes I just feel like going home, but then I ask myself, “Where is my home?” Lots of people would say that home is where your soul is, but then, all our family is "home.” So do you want to go back, or do you want to make your own way?

If you did go "home" would you be the same? Would you have the same friends or the same job as before? No...I don't think so either! Then why can't we just accept that our lives are here, in a foreign country? Is it just me having this quandary or does it apply to all of us who have come to Spain for work, a better life and better value for money? I have my life here now – my beautiful job and people I've met in Spain who I'm sure I couldn't meet in Romania. I still miss my family but we all have our ladder to climb in life. For the moment, I've just climbed some steps, and all of them have been here. I will go at some point but I'm not sure where – I have hundreds of dreams. So my question for you is: "Where is your home?" Trambitasu Oana Maria

Celebrity Wedding As a few of you may know, I’ve recently come back from a stag week and the following wedding of my good friend Glen and his lovely wife Charlie What I didn’t realise however was just how popular Glen was in the celebrity world! He is a very good friend of Keith “Cheggers” Cheg-
Unfortunately it wasn’t all hunky dory for the stag, as after a couple of days having it hard and fast, poor Glen aged by 30 years! See pic right On a lighter note again and at the wedding, we were all very startled by the appearance of the famous ‘look-a-likey’
George “Hurricane Higgins” Jamieson, who gave everyone a signed photo! The team at The Sentinella would like to win, seen here above on the stag in Poland and I must say, he was a very nice chap.
wish Glen & Charlie the very best for the future

Recipe Of The Month
Intercom
Chicken fajita drumsticks and Mexican corn salad
One night after a date, a guy takes his girlfriend home. After kissing each other goodnight at the front door, the guy starts feeling a little horny. With an air of confidence, he leans with his hand against the wall and, smiling, he says to her: "Honey, would you give me a b*****b?" Horrified, she replies "Are you mad? My parents will see us!" "Oh come on! Who's gonna see us at this hour?" "No, please. Can you imagine if we get caught" "Oh come on! There's nobody around, they're all sleeping!" "No way. It's just too risky!" "Oh please, please, I love you so much?!?" "No, no, and no. I love you too, but I just can't!" "Oh yes you can. Please?" "No, no. I just can't" "I'm begging you..." Out of the blue, the light on the stairs goes on, and the girl's sister shows up in her pajamas, hair disheveled, and in a sleepy voice she says: "Dad says to go ahead and give him one, or I can do it. Or if need be, Mum says she can come down herself and do it. But for God's sake tell him to take his hand off the intercom."
A really easy way to feed six people. Just put the chicken in a roasting tray with the spices and let the oven do the work. Wrap it up and you're good to go! ingredients • 12 chicken drumsticks • 1 tbsp paprika • 1 tbsp ground cumin • 4 garlic cloves • 1 tbsp vegetable oil • 6 large tortilla wraps For the corn salad • approx 200g tin sweetcorn, rinsed and drained • 1 red pepper • 2 spring onions • half a lemon, juice only • salt and pepper Preparation method 1. Preheat the oven to 200C/180C Fan/Gas 6. Tip the chicken into a large roasting tray and sprinkle over the spices. Lightly crush the garlic, leaving the skins on, and add to the tray with the chicken. Drizzle with the oil and season with salt and pepper. Roast for 30 minutes, turning halfway through cooking, until the chicken is lightly charred on the outside and perfectly cooked inside. 2. While the chicken is cooking, make the salad. Tip the sweetcorn into a bowl then finely chop the pepper (removing the seeds) and add to the bowl. Finely slice the spring onions then add to the bowl along with a squeeze of lemon juice. Season to taste with salt and pepper. 3. Shred the chicken from the bone and then wrap in tortilla wraps either with the Mexican salad, or with other salad items of your choice, leaving the Mexican salad to serve as a ‘side’.

We have been travelling east, slowish time through Spain and France with Christmas in the UK in mind. The Autosleeper Duetto is running well, we stay off the main autovias and toll roads as far as possible
Who dreams these up?
One thing we find perturbing is these poor young lady fruit sellers (sometimes two together) by the side of the road, usually on a chair, sometimes strutting impatiently. The problem they have is they have sold all the fruit they started the day with but they have to stay by the roadside waiting for someone to come and take them home! Poor things. One enterprising, feisty, busty, young lady has branched out into selling mattresses. She was sat by the Transit van with the rear doors wide open. She must have had a good day, she only had one mattress left!! Good on you girl, keep it up. Anyone wanting a mattress, try driving up the N340 in Spain or even the D9 in France but better go early....
A cartoonist was found dead in his home. Details are sketchy.

Abogada Solicitor - Torre del Mar The new regulation applicable on the inheritance of foreigners in Spain A new European rule, Regulation (EU) No 650/2012, has been approved with the aim of improving and clarifying inheritances and movements of individuals across Europe, and Spain is part of it. Since 17 August this year, it applies to all inheritances in the countries which signed up, except UK, Ireland and Denmark, where their original rules of succession still apply.
vidual’s preference that their succession should be governed by the law of their country of nationality. Therefore, unless a resident in Spain has drawn up such a will, his or her succession will be governed by Spanish law. It is necessary to bear in mind that this has strict rules in place to protect the interests of the deceased’s family and descendants. Consequently, it is now legally binding to sign a will before a Public Notary if you live in Spain and do not want Spanish Law to rule your inheritance
It means that the laws of succession in an individual´s habitual country of residence will apply when they die – even for citizens of non-Member countries if they reside within the territory of any of the European Member States. For instance, Spanish law will apply for a Brazilian or British citizen if this person normally resides in Spain.

g n i z fe a i m L A ine tfish Mar nce La
Dating from prehistoric times, the lancetfish is yet another weird-looking creature which lives in our deep oceans. While they don't have the long history of hagfish, lancetfish just looks like something from the Mesozoic Era (250-65 million years ago).
In many respects, it looks like the offspring of an barracuda and sailfish, mixed in with an eel! They are found in all oceans except the polar regions, and are often caught by accident by commercial fisheries when long-lining for tuna. A fanged lancet fish was washed up a North Carolina beach last May – they normally live at great depths, and are rarely seen by humans. Comparatively little is known about the biology of the lancetfish.
They can measure up to six-and-a-half feet (2m) in length.
Its dorsal fin is long and very high and is soft rayed throughout. It has a slender body that is flattened from side to side and is silver in colour.
Their distinguishing characteristics include six fang-like teeth, a long streamlined body and an abnormally large dorsal fin.
Other than the fact that the lancetfish is oviparous (egg-laying), its reproductive system is still somewhat of a mystery.

Amazing Marine Life (Continued) Its narrow body and silvery coloration would provide a good cover and the large dorsal fin would provide acceleration. Since it has a large mouth and sharp teeth it can engulf the prey before it would have the chance to escape. A giant digenean parasite, Botulus microporus, lives in the intestines of lancetfish. Studies made on stomach contents determined that the lancetfish feeds on planktonic crustaceans, squid, salp, and other fish. It has a large mouth and sharp teeth – adaptations for a life of predation. It has watery muscles that are not suitable for fast swimming therefore it is believed to be an ambush predator.
Opah, fur seals, sharks, albacore and yellowfin tuna prey on the lancetfish. The flesh of the fish is edible to humans but it is watery and gelatinous.

The World’s Oldest Christmas Tree

The Story of the World's Oldest Christmas Tree. Janet Parker of Chippenham, Wiltshire, England, probably has the world's oldest artificial Christmas tree. It has been in her family since 1886! The miniature tree originally cost 6d (2½p), and is 12in high

"Sticks!" Paddy replied
Because Mrs Parker can establish its provenance through family letters and photos, representatives of the Guinness Book of World Records, have agreed that it's the world's oldest artificial Christmas tree. It was her great aunt, Lou Hicks, who gave the tree to Mrs Parker. The present owner said, 'It amazes me to think it's been appearing every Christmas since Victorian times. It's still such a lovely decoration.'

La Vaqueria - Benamargosa Well last month I talked about mangoes so this month should, strictly speaking be avocados but with the weather being so mild nobody around La Vaqueria is picking yet. The longer everyone can hold out and the more rain we get, the fatter the fruit will swell and hopefully the more money they will be worth So instead, guess what? Yes, Christmas!!! When I first came to live in Benamargosa Father Christmas was relatively unknown and no presents at all were given until 3 kings day on January 6th. In our household we had our traditional 25th December Christmas but ate beans on toast when the children were little giving us more time for playing, only as they grew older did we go for the traditional dinner with all the trimmings and still we told them that good old Santa had phoned the kings to tell them this house was done so they didn't need to come too! Nowadays I wonder how my Spanish neighbours are coping as every year the adverts on the TV start that little bit earlier, shops start the
commercial hype and as far as I know, they now have 2 days to come up with gifts. So as not to be left behind, La Vaqueria has lots of lovely gift ideas, mosaics, paintings, hand made cards and a new line of hand made childrens toys from ages 3-10yrs. we can also provide you with a voucher if you have someone in mind who might enjoy one of our workshops or classes. And to top it all off our CHRISTMAS DO will be on Sunday 20th with live music, live entertainment and parlour games after your Carvery dinner with all you can eat buffet. If I don't see you then have a lovely time and I shall look forward to seeing you next year! Please remember that we are shut all of January and will re-open on the first Tuesday of February. Happy Christmas! See main advert on page 100

Helping Axarquia Monthly Update Self-employed workers are legally authorised to receive the unemployment subsidy and run a business. Last Saturday, 10th of October, the reform of the Spanish law Ley del Trabajo Autónomo (self-employment law) entered into force. Among the most relevant measures of this law, the extension of the “flat rate” for self-employed workers is included. The contribution amount for common contingencies is fixed at 50 Euros for six months. Self-employed workers who benefit from this incentive may also hire other workers without losing this right. Another change is the extension of the possibility to capitalise up to 100 % of the unemployment benefit in order to facilitate investment and initial costs payment when starting a business—formerly, the unemployment benefit could be only capitalised up to 60 % if the unemployed person was over 30 years old.
Likewise, all self-employed workers will be allowed to combine for nine months maximum the unemployment benefit payment and their registration in the special scheme of self-employed workers (Spanish acronym RETA). Previously, this possibility was exclusively reserved to unemployed under the age of 30. For more information, please write to info@helpingaxarquia.com The information provided in this article is not intended to be legal advice, but merely conveys general information related to legal issues.

On the mend Comedy legend Bob Mortimer is recovering in hospital after a triple bypass operation. The star – known for being one half of comedy duo Vic and Bob – was forced to cancel the first leg of the pair's upcoming tour. The 56-year-old had been due to take to the stage in Glasgow for “25 Years of Reeves and Mortimer: The Poignant Moments.” The funnyman's sidekick Vic Reeves said: "I'm so pleased the operation has gone well and Bob is fixed. Many thanks to the surgeon." Bob's spokesman said: "He now needs several weeks to fully recover, but he very much hopes to be fit and well enough to perform the second leg in January next year." The father-of-two has previously spoken about suffering from rheumatoid arthritis, a painful condition which could confine him to a wheelchair.
n't really upset me. People always say 'have you or haven't you?' But it's my business. "It's my face. So what if I have or haven't?" The star isn't just plagued with plastic surgery rumours either, though, as she's also revealed that she's constantly hit with claims she's expecting a baby with husband Mark Wright. She told Now magazine: "If I breathe out, I'm pregnant. If I wear a poncho, I'm pregnant... I get it a lot." According to a source close to the star, Ricky initially refused to answer the door – only to give in when his caretaker talked him round. When he eventually arrived at his car, he found it had already been clamped and lost his temper. A source said Ricky called the police, who were unable to help as the star was in the wrong. "Apparently the debt was for an outstanding parking fine that went to court but Ricky missed the hearing and hadn't paid the fine,” the source continued. “The court had ordered a repossession.” It was only when the tow truck arrived that Ricky finally agreed to pay the fine. determined to keep touring the UK – insisting his animals are well looked after. However, when one of the lions refused to perform via video link for presenters Phillip and Amanda, the duo took their chance to lay into their guest. "Thomas, I've got to say that lion did not appear to love you," Phillip said. "Why is it not free or in a zoo?" Amanda then joined in adding: "The argument is that they shouldn't be kept in an enclosure – wild animals are always going to be wild. "If you were kept in a cage for days on end, you'd be feeling very claustrophobic and like a prisoner." But Thomas disagreed, arguing that "animals don't see the world like we do." Amanda highlighted the fact she has previously worked with the Born Free Foundation. She also starred in the hit TV series Wild at Heart, which was filmed in Africa.

Argentinian Beef What makes it so good? The finest beef and excellent preparation The beef’s quality is derived from the grass the cattle feed on. Contrary to other countries, the majority of Argentine cows are not fed on grains in feedlots but are raised eating luscious grass, principally in the humid pampas, the biggest beef producing region of the country where open flat plains dominant the landscape. Dinner at a traditional Parilla (grill restaurant) demonstrates the country’s fondness for beef. A typical menu will offer around a dozen different cuts of steak, from the leanest and most expensive, lomo (tenderloin), to the fatty flank (vacio) and entraña (skirt steak). Try this wonderful meat at Torre del Mar’s own Parilla, Fogon del Pibe which is situated in Avenida Tore Tore. Here you can savour the roasted meats over the open log oven and choose to eat what you see! See advert on page 66

Spa Day Raises Money For Hungry & Homeless On Saturday 24th October, holistic therapists from the region gave their expertise, free of charge, to raise money for the hungry and homeless in Malaga A Spa Day was held at Hotel las Orquideas in Los Romanes, where six therapists offered treatments as diverse as reflexology, reiki, tui na and acupuncture, re-connective healing and rebalancing massage. As a result, €400 euros was raised on the day, and the Vineula Meditation Group has donated another €50. In addition, Leila Pearce has been holding fund raising music events during the summer, raising a further €380. A total of €830 will be paid to the Los Ángeles Malagueños de la Noche bank account. The event was organised by Maggie Culver who regularly collects donations and delivers food to Ángeles de la Noche in Malaga – a centre where the poor and homeless are fed daily. The therapists who generously gave their day and their services to the project are: Eileen Roberts, Mukta Cameron, Maggie Culver, Gaby Engelberger, Tracey Webb and Sue
Stevens. Huge thanks to Monica from las Orquideas who allowed us to use their function room free of charge. Over the last three years, our spa days have raised €2950. Work has started on building the comedor (eating place) in Malaga so that the charity will no longer be handing out food on the street. Currently they feed 2000 people a day. There will be a musical event in Malaga, on November 11th to raise money for the charity, organised by Food For Change. More information on the charity can be found at: http://www.angelesdelanoche.com/en/

when soaked in fresh goats’ milk for the night and then ground in the same milk with a mixture of cardamom powder and honey, becomes a very useful tonic for increasing sex endurance and sterility due to functional disorders. Dates are known as an excellent remedy for alcoholic intoxication. Dates provide quick relief for hangovers – they should be rubbed and soaked overnight for getting more nutritious values from them. They are beneficial for curing abdominal cancer, and work as a useful tonic for all age groups. They can work better than prescription medicines, as they are natural and do not have any side effects in the body. They can be easily digested and used for supplying extra and needed energy. Eating just five 5 dates per day gives you a good source of iron.
They are termed to be a laxative food, and therefore beneficial for people suffering from constipation. For getting the laxative effect from dates, you need to soak them for one full night in water. You should consume these soaked dates in the morning like syrup in order to get their actual advantages. The nicotinic content that is present in the dates is said to be beneficial for curing any kinds of intestinal disorders. Continuous intake of dates helps to maintain a check on the growth of the pathological organisms and thus, helps in the rise of friendly bacteria in the intestines. Dates are said to be a part of healthy diet. They consist of sugar, fats and proteins as well as many essential vitamins. One kilogram of dates contains almost 3,000 calories. These calories alone are sufficient to meet the daily requirements of a human body. They are quite helpful in maintaining your heart in a healthy condition. When soaked overnight, crushed in the morning and consumed, dates prove to be quite advantageous for weak hearts. They help to fortify the heart, if taken twice a week. Funny Christmas Card Quotes Humourous........ Remember that the important thing is not what you give, or how you wrap it. The important thing, during this very special time of year, is that you save the receipt.
Christmas shopping for your parents is easy. Just buy them clothes you wouldn’t get caught dead in.
If you mistakenly wrap a Christmas present in paper that says “Happy Birthday”... You can always write “to Jesus” on it. Tell the kid next door you’re the Christmas Lawyer. You know he’s been naughty... But if he gives you half his Christmas presents, you can plead him down to “not very nice.” Know why this Christmas card is awesome? It’s not an email. It’s not a text. Why were there only three kings at Jesus’ birth? Elvis had not yet entered the building. This Christmas let’s try to keep things in their proper perspective. After all, credit cards do have their limits. May your longest list this Christmas be the one that counts your blessings. You can feel a real let-down after Christmas. Especially when all you have to look forward to is your New Year’s resolutions. Don’t you just hate the blatant materialism of Christmas? Aren’t you just dying to know what you got? Why should you teach your kids Christmas carols? Because they can’t sing and beg for toys at the same time. Low on Christmas cheer? Do what I do: ask Santa to bring you some cheerleaders!

People Who Come And Go People Who Come And Go – Mandy & Paul In their twenties, Mandy and Paul, from the UK, holidayed in Spain and fell in love with the people and the country, and at that young age, they made up their minds that this was where they wished to retire one day. In 2002, they decided they could continue to dream or they could make it a reality. That year, after much travelling in Southern Spain, they finally bought a perfect view - and a pile of stones that was once a house! All this time later, they have just finished building their beautiful home and moved in in November this year. It only took 5 years to obtain planning permission, and the day after they paid their licence fee, the town hall rescinded their permission! It took another year of endless paperwork and battling, but on the 19th February 2013 they finally achieved full planning permission and were able to begin the restoration project. Asked if they have learned something from this experience, Mandy is quite clear. “If we knew then what we know now, we'd never have started this renovation project. Building on rural land is SO difficult now, even when you are just retoring! But we have had a crack team of
Spanish builders, who have interpreted our requirements and more! We have worked with builders before in the UK and these guys outshine them all! “Together with our builders, interpreter, and our brilliant architect we have finally managed to create the dream home we started out to find all those years ago, in the most perfect location”. Welcome to our community, Mandy and Paul! Thanks for not giving up, you deserve, finally, to enjoy the fruits of all your hard work! Christmas In Spain Most people in Spain go to Midnight Mass or 'La Misa Del Gallo' (The Mass of the Rooster). It is called this because a rooster is supposed to have crowed the night that Jesus was born Most families eat their main Christmas meal on Christmas Eve before the service. The traditional Spanish Christmas dinner is 'Pavo Trufado de Navidad' which is Turkey stuffed with truffles (the mushrooms, not the chocolate ones!) After the midnight service, people walk through the streets carrying torches, playing guitars and beating on tambourines and drums. One Spanish saying is 'Esta noche es Noche-Buena, Y no Es noche de dormir' which means 'Tonight is the good night and it is not meant for sleeping!' December 28th is 'DĂa de los santos inocentes' or 'Day of the Innocent Saints' and is very like April Fools Day in the UK and USA. People try to trick each other into believing silly stories and jokes. Newspapers and TV stations also run silly stories. If you trick someone, you can call them 'Inocente, inocente' which means 'innocent, innocent'. 28th December is when people all over the world remember the babies that were killed on the orders of King Herod when he was trying to kill the baby Jesus. New Year's Eve is called 'Nochevieja' or 'The Old Night' in Spain and one special tradition is that you eat 12 grapes with the 12 strokes of the clock at Midnight! Each grape represents a month of the coming year, so if you eat the twelve grapes, you are said to be lucky in the new year. Apart from Christmas, there is another festival that is celebrated in Spain that is about the Christmas Story. It is called Epiphany and is celebrated on 6th January. This is the twelfth night after Christmas. In Spanish, Epiphany is called 'Fiesta de Los tres Reyes Mages': in English this means 'The festival of the three Magic Kings'. Epiphany celebrates when the Kings or Wise menbrought gifts to the baby Jesus.
Children have some presents on Christmas Day, but most are opened at Epiphany. Some children believe that the Kings bring presents to them at Epiphany. They write letters to the Kings on Boxing Day, December 26th, asking for toys and presents. And on Epiphany Eve (January 5th) they leave shoes on windowsills or balconies or under the Christmas Tree to be filled with presents. Gifts are often left by children for the Kings, a glass of Cognac for each King, a satsuma and some walnuts. Sometimes a bucket of water is left for the camels that bring the Kings! If the children have been bad, the Kings might leave pieces of coal made out of sugar in the presents!

Dracula and his monsterhotel cohorts are still struggling to accept others’ differences in Hotel Transylvania 2. In this busy story, the famed Count has consented to his daughter’s marriage to a human, but finds himself faced with a new challenge when his grandson Dennis is slow to develop fangs. After a brief intro, races through vampire Mavis
(Selena Gomez) and human doofus Johnny’s (Andy Samberg) nuptials, as well as the infancy of their baby boy Dennis (Asher Blinkoff), returning director Genndy Tartakovsky’s follow-up grounds itself in the weeks preceding the kid’s fifth birthday, which serves as the cutoff point for bloodsuckers to sprout their chompers. That deadline’s impending approach strikes fear in the heart of Dracula (Sandler), whose newfound ability to stomach human guests in his hotel — and in his beloved daughter’s bed — is not so great that he’s about to sit idly by and assent to his descendant’s mortality. Further compounding his anxiety, Mavis, concerned that the spooky hotel is no longer a safe home for her kid, is considering moving her brood to California. What results is a lot of busy action in this colourful movie for the whole family. Star Rating: ***/*****

s e p o c s Horo by Juanita Banana of www.AbsoluteAxarquia.com ARIES: March 21-April 20 December is a time for Arians to use their adaptive capacity to recover balance and put aside small depressions. Let love take centre place to put a smile on your face and infect others around you. Beware of a jealous neighbour or colleague and don´t give away future plans TAURUS: April 21-May 21 Taureans love to stand up for what´s right but during December you should exercise caution and stay away from fights and arguments! Instead, with joy and solidarity, this is a good time to put energies into helping, or giving, to a charity. You could experience luck in gambling and in beginning a diet or fitness routine GEMINI: May 22-June 21 News of a distant relative will help transform your life. Rather than envy, try to admire and emulate people who do well on their own merit. Mood swings need to be controlled in the home environment, taking care to put aside any resentments CANCER: June 22-July 22 Cancerians have the prospect of unexpected travel. December is a positive month for you, during which you can gauge, then take risks to achieve, what you wish for. To reap financial benefit, take a little time to reorganise work and incorporate new elements LEO: July 23-August 23 Although strangers may leave you perplexed, December is an excellent month to call and take part in meetings, sign contracts and put people in place. Pressure at home needs to be dealt with, rather than allowing your feelings to be drowned with work VIRGO: August 24-September 22 During the first part of December, you experience self doubt and profound inner thoughts making you quieter than normal. Friends will entrust you with information and opportunities to share events, both of which surprise you. Not
a good time to mix work with emotion LIBRA: September 23 - October 22 December could be a difficult month for Librans helped if, rather than speaking or acting impulsively, you ensure you respond to emotional and other blows with maturity and wisdom before speaking or acting impulsively! Take care not to let health issues go untreated SCORPIO: October 23 - November 21 A passionate month for Scorpio, bringing an eagerly awaited emotional reunion. The arrival of someone new, two or four legged, in your life is indicated. Some outstanding documentation or a contract can now be finalised SAGITTARIUS: November 22 - December 21 Your perseverance and moderation pay off as December brings Sagittarians job opportunities not to be missed. Go for it and don´t be afraid to leave the routine. If someone wishes to argue, you are best to just listen, think and keep silent. If you learn not to over-insist, people will do as you suggest CAPRICORN: December 22 - January 20 Take measures to prevent diminishing your vitality, with exercise, prayer, positive thinking and good nutrition. Don´t let pride allow you to ignore a lesson from someone whose experience and wisdom is valuable. If looking for a romantic relationship, keep in mind that love first needs to grow AQUARIUS: January 21 - February 19 Aquarians should exercise caution with health during December, especially respiratory ailments including colds and flu. If something isn´t right, get to a doctor! Take care with expenses, particularly over the festive season and follow your intuition with a partner PISCES: February 20 - March 20 To avoid discomfort and ailments, a healthy diet is important for Pisceans this month. You and a partner or close friend will need to respect each other´s space and be lenient this month. Outdoor activity would be of great and positive benefit

"Cos I'm only 14 init, now shut the f*** up and eat your pot noodle before your dad gets home from school!" ------------------------------------------------------------I've just knocked on my mates front door. As he answered I asked, "Are you coming out?" "No mate." He replied, "I just like prancing around the house in women's underwear." ------------------------------------------------------------Paddy asks Mick. 'What do ya tink of the i phone 6?' Mick replies, "Jesus i think they are innocent " "I thought my vasectomy would keep my wife from getting pregnant but apparently it just changes the colour of the baby." ------------------------------------------------------------There was an Englishman, Scottishman and an Irishman swimming in the sea one day when suddenly they were captured by pirates. The captain said to them your getting locked up in dungeons for 50 years, but I'll give you something to go in with. So the englishman says he wants to go in with booze, so he goes in with his booze. The scotsman says he wants some women so he goes in with his women. Finally the irishman wants to go in with cigarettes so he goes in with his cigarettes. Then 50 years later the englishman comes out of his dungeon pissed, the scotsman comes out with his women and kids and the irishman comes out and says 'Got a light'! ------------------------------------------------------------A farmer ordered a high-tech milking machine. Since the equipment arrived when his wife was out of town, he decided to test it on himself first. So, he inserted his "manhood" into the equipment, turned on the switch and everything else was automatic. Soon, he realised that the equipment provided him with much more pleasure than his wife did.
When the fun was over, though, he quickly realised that he couldn't remove the instrument from his 'member'. He read the manual but didn't find any useful information on how to disengage himself. He tried every button on the instrument, but still without success. Finally, he decided to call the supplier's Customer Service Hot Line with his mobile phone "Hello, I just bought a milking machine from your company. It works fantastic, but how do I remove it from the cow's udder?" "Don't worry," replied the customer service rep, "The machine will release automatically once it's collected two gallons. Have a nice day." ------------------------------------------------------------One night after a date, a guy takes his girlfriend home. After kissing each other goodnight at the front door, the guy starts feeling a little horny. With an air of confidence, he leans with his hand against the wall and, smiling, he says to her: "Honey, would you give me a b*** **b?" Horrified, she replies "Are you mad? My parents will see us!" "Oh come on! Who's gonna see us at this hour?" "No, please. Can you imagine if we get caught" "Oh come on! There's nobody around, they're all sleeping!" "No way. It's just too risky!" "Oh please, please, I love you so much?!?" "No, no, and no. I love you too, but I just can't!" "Oh yes you can. Please?" "No, no. I just can't" "I'm begging you..." Out of the blue, the light on the stairs goes on, and the girl's sister shows up in her pjamas, hair disheveled, and in a sleepy voice she says: "Dad says to go ahead and give him one, or I can do it. Or if need be, Mum says she can come down herself and do it. But for God's sake tell him to take his hand off the intercom."

Jokes h a ha :) John was sitting outside his local pub one day, enjoying a quiet pint and generally feeling good about himself, when a nun suddenly appears at his table and starts decrying the evils of drink. "You should be ashamed of yourself young man! Drinking is a Sin! Alcohol is the blood of the devil!" Now John gets pretty annoyed about this, and goes on the offensive. "How do you know this, Sister?" "My Mother Superior told me so." "But have you ever had a drink yourself? How can you be sure that what you are saying is right?" "Don't be ridiculous--of course I have never taken alcohol myself" "Then let me buy you a drink - if you still believe afterwards that it is evil I will give up drink for life" "How could I, a Nun, sit outside this public house drinking?!" "I'll get the barman to put it in a teacup for you, then no one will ever know." The Nun reluctantly agrees, so John goes inside to the bar. "Another pint for me, and a triple vodka on the rocks", then he lowers his voice and says to the barman "and could you put the vodka in a teacup?" "Oh no! It's not that Nun again is it?" ------------------------------------------------------------A group of nursery kids were trying to become accustomed to their first year. The biggest hurdle they faced was that the teacher insisted on no baby talk. "You need to use 'big people' words," she'd always remind them. She asked Chris what he had done over the weekend. "I went to visit my Nana." "No, you went to visit your GRANDMOTHER. Use big people words!" She then asked Mitchell what he had done. "I took a ride on a choo-choo." She said, "No, you took a ride on a TRAIN. Use big people words."
She then asked Bobby what he had done. "I read a book," he replied. "That's WONDERFUL!" the teacher said. "What book did you read?" Bobby thought about it, then puffed out his little chest with great pride and said, "Winnie the S***." ------------------------------------------------------------A husband and wife were sitting watching a TV program about psychology and explaining the phenomenon of “mixed emotions”. The husband turned to his wife and said, “Honey, that is a bunch of crap. I bet you can’t tell me anything that will make me happy and sad at the same time. She said: “Out of all your friends, you have the biggest d***.
