Purposeful Teams™ Intervention

“Purposeful Teams™” is a powerful and participative intervention that moves teams to purpose-led execution. The intervention is applicable to natural task or project teams at every level of the organisation, utilising a process that adapts to the organisation's and the team's context. Outcomes Through the “Purposeful Teams™” intervention process, teams are able to establish and internalise the reasons for their creation. Individual members and the team as a whole are awakened to the significance of their roles, resulting in activation around purpose and the unearthing of key commitments required for high performance. The intervention consists of a two-day workshop followed by two half-day review processes, all of which are facilitated by a member of the global network of Level 1 WorldsView™ Facilitators.

Facilitators The facilitators have a vast range of experience in organisations and understand the dynamics of teams.

The “Purposeful Teams™” intervention fuses organisational development and traditional training in a workshop format. It delivers team effectiveness by supporting the team in anchoring their purpose, identifying milestones as well as integrating task, relationship and process into a conversation-based delivery format to create strong, committed teams and team members. The “Purposeful Teams™” intervention examines the team's context, mandate, milestones and members in the realms of Head (knowing), Heart (being) and Hands (doing). It brings participants together repeatedly, to explore and cover all aspects of the team's purpose from the organisational perspective, the team perspective and the individual perspective. LEGO® Serious Fun™

Serious Fun is home grown in South Africa. It is not just another FUN team building exercise with the only differentiator being the use of LEGO® bricks rather than the nearest river or mountain. Yes, playing with LEGO® bricks creates a FUN atmosphere. But, it’s an environment in which people tend to be more open and honest. People in a Serious Fun workshop have FUN and therefore are more prone to reflect openly and honestly on the behaviours they have just used to work in a team to build a LEGO® model. While having FUN they forget to hide the behaviours they use to be a team member. Their behaviour is observable to the facilitator and those observing the workshop. This allows for reflection, discussion, learning and even making a commitment to improvement. Objectives • • • • • • • • •

to relax and have FUN to introduce strangers to each other to create an environment in which delegates interact in a FUN and sharing manner to create a friendly, FUN and co-operative atmosphere at a conference or business meeting for all participants to co-operate and work together in teams to increase communication between all the participants to motivate all participants to strengthen the cohesion of all the delegates to communicate management messages

Delivery Method

Team Effectiveness Development Programme The Team Effectiveness Development Programme is an integrated leadership and team development intervention which gives participants an immediate grasp of their personal and interpersonal strengths and challenges in leadership, team and individual contexts. It combines the use of the Adfen E-Scale Assessment instrument and individual, leadership and team debrief processes with an interactive team development session. Participants will also discover possible ways of dealing more effectively with their individual and team challenges and working towards realising their full potential. By understanding the different structures of interpretation we can “speak the language” of others who "see" the world differently from ourselves. Real communication becomes possible, and we are able to deal more effectively with conflicts, ineffective work habits, office politics, and different leadership styles. If we want to maximise our effectiveness, we need to learn how to lead different types of people and how to relate to different types of clients. Outcomes • • • • • •

A deep understanding of your own structure of interpretation in relation to others Insight into your personal and interpersonal strengths and challenges Clarity on your team's overall strengths and areas of challenge Awareness of repeated ineffective patterns in your leadership/team style and how to eliminate them A comprehensive development plan to maximise your personal and team's effectiveness and overcome the challenges Ability to choose an appropriate leadership style for a specific context

Modem: The I in Team:

Valuing Difference while Demolishing Silos

The “silo” phenomenon continues to prevail. Departments operate ever more in isolation as cost centres, and teams utilise their own resources, ignoring external influences and resources. In truth, only knowledge in action (Kinetic knowledge) is worth having, and it’s less likely to be duplicated by competitors. Being differentiated and valuing diverse contributions is vital to 21st Century organisations, but so is collaboration across unnatural divisions. We cannot perpetuate “us” and “them”; instead, we need a shared “what,” “why” and “how”. It's not too late to transform a group into a team mutually accountable to achieve shared goals, instead of reliant on goodwill to inspire teamwork amongst “lone rangers”. Outcomes Shared Vision and Expectations Appreciation of Diversity Competitive Differentiation improved Interpersonal Communication and Collaboration

Delivery Method Keynote; In-house
