EO Mike Halligan and the team at God’s Panty Food Bank are passionate about their mission of reducing hunger and delivering hope to any household, individual, child, teen, and senior experiencing hunger regardless of circumstances or background. Halligan says, “15 of the 50 most food insecure counties in the United States are right here in our beloved hometowns in Kentucky.” The Food Bank works with the community to change those statistics, feeding many of the more than 250,000 individuals who are living with food insecurity. God’s Pantry Food Bank serves 50 counties in Central and Eastern Kentucky in partnership with more than 450 food pantries and meal programs. Mike is a tried and true Kentuckian and is honored his prior experience with food service employers like Quaker Oats and Feeding America led him to God’s Pantry Food Bank. “For me, for God’s Pantry Food Bank, the work is not about us, the work is about placing those experiencing hunger in the center of our efforts, of our immediate plans, and of our longterm strategies and then striving to achieve a nourished life for every Kentuckian.”
