Kolehmainen Veera <veera.kolehmainen@aalto.fi> AttachmentsApr 14 to me 100 syytä olla onnellinen Muutama vuosi sitten olin syntymäpäiväjuhlissa. Tulin vähän tylsistyneeksi, sillä olin päätynyt puolipakosta seuraan johon en kuulunut. Päivänsankarin puoliso heitti minulle vitsillä kirkkaankeltaisen pehmeäkantisen kirjan käteen ja totesi: siinä on hyvää viihdykettä, jopa Pori mainittu! Tuhat ja yksi syytä olla onnellinen. Aloin pläräämään kirjaa, ja jostain kumman syystä suorastaan liikutuin. Kirja oli ulkoasultaan kuin suoraan alelaarista tai marketin hyllyltä, mutta inspiroiduin valtavasti. Halusin tehdä oman listani. Jos näkisi elämässään jatkuvasti syitä olla onnellinen, niin mikseipä elämä myös olisi sitä, ajattelin. Tänään laskin pikkuhiljaa kertyneiden havaintojen lukumäärän, sillä olin kirjannut niitä käsin melko sattumanvaraisesti erään kirjan takakanteen. En ajatellut niiden yltävän vielä lähellekään sataa. 227. Päätin jakaa teidän kanssanne nyt osan.

Torson teoshaku Inbox Poskiparta Liisa <liisa.poskiparta@aalto.fi> Attachments Apr 10 to me Moi, Mulla olisi Torsoon ehdottaa veistoksiani. Suomi 100 - aiheeseen liittyen media ja valemedia on ollut kovasti esillä, joten koen teokseni läheiseksi siihen. Työ ja aika itsessään on isossa osassa töitäni, koska niiden fyysiseen tekemiseen menee aikaa. Työni itseään toistavana ei juurikaan eroa ns. «tavallisesta työstä», millä Suomi on rakennettu ja ylläpidetty hyvinvointiyhteiskuntaa. Näitä veistoksia tehdessäni otin myös oman hyvinvointini ja muotoilusta johtuvan uupumukseni vuoksi käyttöön tyypillisen 8,5 h / päivässä työskentelytaktiikan enkä ole koskaan ollut työssäni yhtä onnellinen ja hyvinvoiva. Töissäni näkyy mielestäni elämä itsessään, muuttuvana ja toisaalta taas hyvin samankaltaisena alusta loppuun. Paperiveistokseni käsittelevät mediaa painetun median kautta. Veistoksen ulkomuoto riippuu painetusta mediasta, jota se sisältää. Printed Media I ja II on tehty päivälehdistä. Sisällöntuottajan puolueettomuus tai puolueellisuus näyttäytyy vaihtuvina muotoina (muoto ja vastamuoto). Niissä on primitiivisyyttä, kuten paperissa vanhana mediana itsessään. Minua ulkomuoto muistuttaa primitiivisistä kilvistä, joiden taakse voi piiloutua tai paljastua niiden takaa, kuten mediassa aihe voidaan nostaa esiin tai piilotella totuutta. Wants and needs paperiveistokset on tehty naistenlehdistä. Niissä naistenlehtien jokseenkin kevyt sisältö työntyi veistokseen pastellisävyinä, jotka paljastuivat paperia leikatessa aivan itsessään. Käytän ulos- ja sisäänpäin työntyvää muotoa tuodakseni esiin lehdissä vuosista toiseen toistuvat aiheet jokseenkin samanlaisina tietyssä syklissä. Samalla muodot kertovat lukijoiden haluista ja ihanteista, jotka vaihtuvat tietyin väliajoin kunnes ilmenevät jälleen. Veistoksissani minulle tärkeää on löytäminen, ei keksiminen. Materiaali kertoo parhaiten miten se haluaa olla, ja miten siitä tulee mielenkiintoinen. Myös toisto on minulle tärkeää. Voin tuntea meneväni transsinomaiseen hiljaiseen tilaan leikatessa ja latoessa paperia päällekkäin samalla tavalla. Monet isoja keraamisia teoksia käsinrakentavat ovat kuvanneet tunnettaan samoin. En käytä neitseellistä vaan käytettyä paperia, mikä tuo niihin ekologisen puolen ja oman viehättävyytensä lehtiä selailleiden ihmisten kosketukset sisältäen. Life - veistos on tehty köydestä ja rautalangasta Intialaisella korinpunontakehniikalla. Jälleen materiaali kertautuu ja toistuu. Alku on näkyvissä, mutta köyden loppu katoaa näkyvistä. Minulle se kuvaa elämää itsessään. Abstrakti ja minimalistinen muotokieli jättää mielikuvitukselle tilaa.

Alves Ludovico (1990, Lisbon) As an experimental designer, Alves Ludovico is interested in transforming objects into an intellectual stimulus by working intensively on the form and function. Therefore he develops as many prototypes as possible. Ultimately, the final definition often results from a sort of mistake. He likes to play with all the areas of design from interior design to jewelry and from everyday objects to spatial installations. Instead of understanding the boundaries between these areas as limitations, he sees them as an innovative sphere to create. A product has to be able to communicate. â&#x20AC;&#x153;The power of design is that it can come to peopleâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s homes and in public places and be there to give inputs, therefore I like to create unique pieces that allow people to get emotional links withâ&#x20AC;?. Alves Ludovico lives and works between Helsinki and Lisbon. Currently Mastering in Product and Spatial Design at Aalto University.
