AANLEIDING Het is duidelijk dat de wereld om ons heen continu verandert en daarmee veranderen ook de vragen, wensen en behoeften van de opdrachtgevers van Royal Haskoning. Om zichzelf beter te oriĂŤnteren en continu aan te sluiten op deze veranderende klantvraag heeft Royal Haskoning Total Identity gevraagd in gezamenlijkheid te werken aan de positionering en profilering van deze mooie onderneming.

CORPORATE STORY Om te weten waar je naartoe wilt is het ook belangrijk te weten waar je vandaan komt. Total Identity ontwikkelde vanuit een perspectief van verleden, heden en toekomst een ambitie voor alle medewerkers. Royal Haskoning heeft een historie die teruggaat tot 1881. Wij zijn het oudste adviesbureau van Nederland, dat werd opgericht door de ingenieurs Johannes van Hasselt en Jacobus de Koning. Het ingenieursbureau J. van Hasselt & De Koning, gestart in Den Haag en later gevestigd in Nijmegen, groeide uit tot het huidige multinationale bedrijf. Met bijna 130 jaar expertise aan boord, koninklijke status en internationaal aansprekende projecten behoren zij tot de wereldtop. 2001 was een belangrijk jaar voor Royal Haskoning, vanuit een schaalvergroting en door het samensmelten van alle toenmalige dochterondernemingen ontstond er een nieuwe onderneming waarmee binnen tien jaar het aantal medewerkers verdubbelde en de

omzet sterk toenam. Hierop volgden nog diverse uitbreidingen waarmee de basis was gelegd voor de huidige operatie. Inmiddels is Royal Haskoning, met ruim 4.000 ingenieurs, adviseurs en architecten en overige medewerkers, een gezonde onderneming maar ziet zichzelf ook geconfronteerd met de uitdagingen in de fragiele markt. Los hiervan ontwikkelt de markt zich snel en zijn de waarden als deskundigheid en vakmanschap verworden tot randvoorwaarden om Ăźberhaupt een speler te zijn in onze markt(en). Min of meer alle spelers op de markt hanteren dezelfde instrumentele en rationele waarden; professioneel, betrouwbaar, kwaliteitsgedreven, integer, verantwoordelijk, financieel gezond enz.. Kortom het huiswerk is op orde maar er is ruimte voor verbetering, zowel vanuit het perspectief van de klant als vanuit het eigen verbindend vermogen.

HEARTBEAT ELEMENT Allereerst zijn er in symboliek, de stijl van het huis, een aantal zaken aangepast. Dit om beter aan te sluiten op de voorgaande missie, visie en toekomstige ambities. We willen hier de stap maken om meer dynamiek, meer warmte en menselijke emotie vanuit de eindwaarden te laten zien in plaats van het huidige relatieve ‘koele’ technische perspectief. Total Identity heeft na inventarisatie een systematiek ontwikkeld waarin alle mogelijke publicaties een plek hebben gekregen en van waaruit met standaard templates gewerkt kan worden. Efficient, want tijdsbesparend en tegelijkertijd effectief want met een professioneel en kwalitatief karakter en volledig in lijn met de nieuwe positionering.
