Sweet Treat Trail

FOOD & DRINK

The Sweet Treat Trail is all about the unique sweets and treats that Cayuga County has to offer. Whether it’s honey or jam or homemade cookies made with locally grown and produced products, we have everything to satisfy your sweet tooth cravings. From north to south in Cayuga County it seems like all roads lead to yummy goodness! Begin your sweet adventure in northern Cayuga County with a stop at Fly By Night Cookie Company in Fair Haven famous for their homemade cookies, pastries, pies and cakes made from scratch with real eggs, butter, and fruit from local farms. From Fair Haven head south on Route 34 to Giancarelli Brothers just north of Weedsport where you will find fruit wines, jams, jellies and pies. You can even pick your own fruit and they’ll give you tips on the fine points of jam and jelly making. From Weedsport head south to Auburn and then west on Genesee Street until you reach Morgan Half Acre Produce. This well known farm stand offers locally produced maple syrup and honey as well as a variety of jams and jellies made with fruits fresh from the farm. Turn south on Route 326 and make your next stop The Apple Station where you can treat yourself to sweet cider, baked apple cider donuts and fruit wines. From Route 326, follow NYS Scenic Byway Route 90 south along the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake and pick up some blueberry scones at Karen's Country Confections LLC in Union Springs before you make your final stop in Aurora at Bet the Farm, a winery and regional market packed with wines, chocolates, honey and much more to delight any sweet treat lover.
