DAY 1:
Start your journey crossing the English Channel by either ferry or train. Head to your accommodation. You might have some time to explore the surroundings and enjoy the tranquillity of the ‘Garden of England’. Walk along the White Cliffs of Dover to soak in stunning views, on clean sun-filled days you will be able to see France. 4x overnights in the Kent area
DAY 2:
Today you will be visiting the historic city of Canterbury and it’s UNESCO World Heritage Site – the Canterbury Cathedral. Take a stroll around the small alleys where you can marvel at the half-timbered houses and the lovely boutiques, or you can enjoy a short cruise on the Great Stour River. Enjoy a delicious lunch at a local pub. Continue towards the award-winning coast of Kent. Quaint, quirky and one of the most charming coastal towns in Kent, Deal, is worth a visit.
DAY 3:
stunning parklands. The castle was once the official residence of Henry VIII first wife, Catherine of Aragon. Elizabeth I was imprisoned here for a time before her coronation. Immerse yourself in the fascinating world of Medieval and Tudor times. Nowadays, you will be able to see the majestic black swans who have just recently returned to Leeds Castle. In the afternoon, we recommend an excursion to Whitstable. The quaint coastal town is particularly famous for locally harvested oysters and a wide selection of seafood. Enjoy a relaxing walk along the seafront or hunt for unique pieces of art in one of the many art shops.
DAY 4:
Brace yourself for a day full of colourful impressions by exploring the countryside by E-Bike. Take a ride through the prettiest Kentish country lanes and visit historic villages, gardens or castles. Stop at English Vineyards or Cider Farm’s to get a taste of Kent’s great produce. The e-bike rental company will provide maps and is happy to help with any route suggestions.
DAY 5:
It’s time to return home. Depending on your return crossing times you might be able to visit the Dover Castle or stop at Ashford Outlet Centre for some las minute gifts and presents.
