DENMARK & SWEDEN

DAY 1: COPENHAGEN

Welcome to Copenhagen! On arrival, transfer from the airport to your hotel in private car with a driver. 2x overnights at Imperial Hotel or similar.

DAY 2: COPENHAGEN

In the morning enjoy a private city tour by car with local English speaking guide: The visit of Copenhagen takes you into the heart of the Danish capital, full of historical buildings and ancient streets. You will see the Little Mermaid and the Gefion fountain, Christiansborg Palace, the Royal residence Amalienborg Palace, the Royal Opera House, and many more beautiful sights. While in the city, stop for a picture at Nyhavn Canal with its charming outdoor restaurants and picturesque cafés. After the tour, visit Tivoli on your own. Opened in 1843, it’s the secondoldest theme park in the world and the world’s mostvisited seasonal theme park. Its delightful mix of rides, attractions, performances and culture make it a treat for adults and children alike.

DAY 3: COPENHAGEN - STOCKHOLM

After breakfast, walk from your hotel to Copenhagen train station for departure by train (2nd class) towards Stockholm, Sweden’s capital. During this approximate 5½ hours train ride you will pass the world famous Øresund bridge between Denmark and Sweden. Arrival in Stockholm and walking transfer on own to your hotel. 4x overnights at Clarion Sign Hotel or similar.

DAY 4: STOCKHOLM

Afterwards, morning city tour by private car with local English speaking guide: The visit of Stockholm, a city often referred to as the Venice of the North, starts at

Fjällgatan to see the magnificent view of the Swedish capital, spread out on 14 islands. You will see the Old Town with its fascinating, narrow cobble-stoned alleys, the Royal palace, the Cathedral, and an entrance to the City Hall, where the festivities of the annual Nobel Prize award take place. The visit will also take you to the recreational island Djurgården where many of the city’s fine museums are found. After the tour, visit to Vasa Museum on own to see the ship that capsized and sank in Stockholm 1628. Today Vasa is the world’s only preserved 17th century ship and the most visited museum in Scandinavia.

DAY 5: STOCKHOLM

After breakfast, enjoy your day off in Stockholm. Take a stroll in the Old Town “Gamla Stan” with its narrow, cobblestone streets – we recommend to make a stop in one of the cafes for “fika”, coffee and cake. You may want to visit one of the other fascinating museums located on the island, the ABBA Museum, Thielska Gallery, or the open air museum Skansen. During the day, enjoy a 2h kayak tour. Enjoy a leisurely sightseeing paddle that allows you a fabulous vantage point as you look in on the city from your kayak. Feel the pulse of the city from a very different perspective! Throughout the tour, your qualified and experienced guide regales you with stories and offers insights into local customs, history, culture, and lifestyle.

DAY 6: STOCKHOLM

Today you have the day free to stroll the city’s streets and take in its atmosphere. Save some energy for a treat in the evening – embark on a 4h wildlife safari. In Stockholm, as is always the case in Sweden, nature is never far away. Just beyond the city limits are extensive lush forests and plenty of farming and agricultural land that are inhabited by a vast array of wildlife. Here, moose, deer, foxes, hares and wild boar roam undisturbed. Our Wildlife Safari runs during dusk, which is an optimal time to go in search of animals. Your knowledgeable guide takes this time to explain more about the habitat surrounding you and the animals that inhabit it. You then navigate through rural landscapes characterized by traditional red cottages, classic manor houses, majestic forests and historical rune stones from the Viking age, searching for wildlife.

DAY 12: STOCKHOLM

This marks the end of your Scandinavian journey for now, but new adventures await!
