ITINERARY DAY 1: ARRIVAL
Today, you fly into the capital of the United Kingdom, London. Upon arrival your coach is ready to take you to your hotel in Swindon, where you stay for the next four nights. 4x overnights/half board in the Delta Hotels by Marriott Swindon
DAY 2: COTSWOLDS
This morning, you explore the beautiful region of the Cotswolds. The vibrant green hills and charming valleys with small picturesque cottages are characteristic of the area. Your destination is the nearby Hidcote Manor Garden. It offers something for every visitor, as it is divided into small, artistically designed garden spaces bordered by high hedges and walls. Whether you are in the mood for small ponds with water features, colourful ornamental gardens, or masterful topiaries, you find the right ‘outdoor room’ in Manor Garden. Return to the hotel in the evening.
DAY 3: WALES

On today’s excursion, you experience the romantic side of the English Riviera with a train journey on a traditional steam train from Paignton to Kingswear, followed by a ferry crossing to the charming town of Dartmouth with its narrow streets and medieval houses. In the afternoon, you have the opportunity to visit Greenway House, once the home of Agatha Christie. In the evening, return to your hotel.
DAY 3: LANHYDROCK – PLYMOUTH – DARTMOOR
After breakfast, you drive to the picturesque Cornish town of Bodmin and then visit the nearby impressive Lanhydrock House. The estate, with its precious furnishings, is set in a lovingly landscaped park. In the house, you can understand the contrast between the life of a noble family and that of their servants during the Victorian era. The bedrooms and dining room showcase elegant living, while the kitchen and servant quarters illustrate life and work in the background. Following this, you head to the maritime city of Plymouth, where you can stroll along the harbour. In the afternoon, return to the hotel through the mystical Dartmoor National Park. You will start in the charming market town of Winchcombe with the destination of Sudeley Castle, the residence of Henry VIII’s widow, Catherine Parr (hike approx. 6 km, 2 hours). In the afternoon, you will explore the historic city of Bath on a guided tour. Let yourself be enchanted by the architectural and historical treasures. Explore the delightful old town with elegant residences and the ancient statues in front of the famous Roman Baths, strolling along the stunning crescent-shaped Royal Crescent street. Alternatively, you can embark on a beautiful hike (approximately 6.5 km, 3 hours) along a section of the famous Cotswolds Way. The tour starts in the charming village of Broadway and takes you to Broadway Tower, where you can enjoy breathtaking views of the Severn Valley and even as far as Wales.

A visit to Cardiff Castle is a must. The castle is a captivating landmark reflecting Wales’ rich history. Following that, you will journey into the pristine landscape of Exmoor National Park and make a stop in Dunster. From here, you will embark on a circular hike lasting approximately 2 hours. Along the route, you will explore, among other things, Dunster Castle — an impressive fortress majestically perched on a hill with a fascinating history dating back to the Middle Ages. Upon your arrival at London Heathrow Airport, you will travel towards Southampton with a stopover in Winchester. Depending on your flight arrival, there is an opportunity to visit the imposing Winchester Cathedral, one of the largest Gothic churches in Europe, stretching 170 meters in length. During a guided tour, you learn more about the impressive architecture of the interior and the history of the cathedral, which is also intertwined with the famous “Pride and Prejudice” author Jane Austen, who is buried here. DAY 2: ISLE OF WIGHT
Today, you cross over to the Isle of Wight. This enchanting island is also known as the “Island of Flowers” due to its mild climate. From the harbour, you travel to the impressive Osborne House. In Ventnor, there is a beautiful botanical garden with palms and a rose garden, offering a fantastic view. Afterwards, you proceed to Shanklin, where the charming old town of the seaside resort features delightful cottages. As evening approaches, it’s time to bid farewell. Board the ferry once again and return to your hotel in Southampton.
DAY 3: LULWORTH COVE – DURDLE DOOR – CORFE CASTLE
After breakfast, you first explore a particularly beautiful stretch of the Dorset coast. The tiny fishing harbour of Lulworth Cove is nestled in a circular bay. A stroll along the coastal path towards the west leads to the arch-like rock formation known as Durdle Door (approx. 4 km). Following this, you take a trip to the Purbeck Peninsula, where you visit the romantic ruins of Corfe Castle. Swanage captivates with its setting: gentle hills in the
hinterland and a wide sandy bay. Take your time before winding down the evening at your hotel.
DAY 4: ARUNDEL – BRIGHTON
On your way through the beautiful landscapes of England, you pass by the charming town of Arundel. During a brief stop, you have the opportunity to explore the market town, visit the eleventh-century Arundel Castle, and, with a bit of luck, stroll through one of the idyllic markets. Afterwards, you continue to the renowned seaside resort of Brighton. The bustling seaside town captivates with its long pier, which extends far into the sea and houses many attractions, as well as the magnificent Royal Pavilion. The oriental palace was built at the request of King George IV to host all his grand festivities. On the way back to the hotel, there is an opportunity to make a stop at the historic harbour waterfront in Portsmouth.

Immerse yourself in the blooming beauty of the British capital when parks and gardens are in full bloom, and discover the warm colours and unique atmosphere of the city in the fall. With its iconic landmarks such as Buckingham Palace, Tower Bridge, and Big Ben, vibrant neighbourhoods, and cultural treasures, London offers unforgettable highlights year-round. Continue to the royal Windsor or visit RHS Wisley Gardens. In spring, the garden captivates with an explosion of blooms, including tulips, daffodils, and magnolias, while in autumn, chrysanthemums, asters, and cyclamen bring warm hues to the gardens. A visit promises a seasonal floral spectacle for all gardening enthusiasts.
DAY 5: LANHYDROCK – LOOE & POLPERRO
After breakfast, you drive to Lanhydrock House. The estate, with its precious furnishings, is set in a lovingly landscaped park. Inside the house, you can understand the contrast between the life of a wealthy family and that of their servants during the Victorian era. Your next destination is the charming fishing village of Looe. The impressive Victorian arched bridge connects the seaside resort divided by the river of the same name. Not far away is the former smuggler’s paradise, Polperro. Around the harbour, you have the opportunity to enjoy something to eat in one of the charming cafes or rustic restaurants and take in the view of the small harbour squeezed between cliffs and the typical cottages. Return to the hotel in Newquay in the evening.

DAY 6: NEWQUAY – SOUTHAMPTON

After breakfast, you visit the beautifully situated Stourhead Gardens which blooms with magnolias and camellias in spring, while in autumn, the magnificent foliage of the trees transforms the landscape into warm shades of gold and red. DAY 4 : ST MICHAEL’S MOUNT – LAND’S END – ST IVES
Today, you drive to the enchanting Cornwall. On your way deeper into the southwestern England, make a brief photo stop at the romantic tidal island, St Michael’s Mount. The monastery settlement with fairy-tale towers is only accessible on foot during low tide, and small boats transport visitors to the island during high tide. Afterwards, head to the western tip of the British mainland, Land’s End. Enjoy the spectacular panorama of the landscape, the sea, and the rugged cliffs before heading to the charming harbour town of St Ives. Indeed, the city is so picturesque that numerous artists settled here in the past. You also have the opportunity to visit one of the many gardens in Cornwall, such as “The Lost Gardens of Heligan” or “Trelissick Garden”. Return to the hotel in the evening.
After breakfast, you leave Newquay and drive along the beautiful Jurassic Coast to the Subtropical Gardens of Abbotsbury. Here, you can discover rare and exotic plants from around the world. Don’t miss the breathtaking view of the impressive Jurassic Coast at the end of the Magnolia Walk. Take a short break on one of the enchanting garden swings before driving through the beautiful landscape of the New Forest National Park. Alternatively, you can also visit Exbury Gardens. DAY 7: SOUTHAMPTON – LONDON/KENT
The day starts with a drive along the coast and a stop in the royal seaside town of Brighton. Admire elegant rows of houses and the exotic fairy-tale palace, the Royal Pavilion. Built in the Indian style, the interior of the palace is adorned with Chinese decorations and ornate Far Eastern embellishments like silver dragons. Flight option: Afterwards, you continue towards London to the hotel. Overnight/half board in the area London. Ferry option: After the visit to Brighton, a detour to Rye, a picturesque town in the county of Kent, is recommended. Additionally, there is the possibility to include another garden visit into the itinerary. Sheffield Park and Garden is one of the most popular gardens, especially in the autumn.
